I’m really pleased with this security item. I’ve secured it to my garage floor to lock my three bicycles using a Secure Gold insurance approved lock. As usual with Amazon it arrived when it was supposed to together with the drill bit I ordered separately. You’ll need a 10mm bit to drill the fixing holes but the anchor does come with the fixings. I’m not sure how durable the plastic cover will be but it’s decorative anyway so no issue. The anchor is hardened steel and will deter the opportunist thief who isn’t armed with an angle grinder. When not being used it’s quite unobtrusive and doesn’t get in the way. I feel confident my bikes are as secure as they can be without spending a small fortune on more heavy duty locks and anchors. Recommended.

If someone REALLY wants your bike, and it is not in the house, then there is probably little you can do to stop the thieving……!
However, most thefts are those of opportunity and minimal security.
Alas connecting a live electricity feed to the security chain/bike is not allowed (apparently it is very illegal).
This is because we should not do anything that could result in the prospective thief being harmed in the act of trying to take your bike 😉
This ground anchor is strong and when fitted to something substantial, makes a good base to secure your bike using a chain, D lock or whatever else you want to use.
Others have already said the template is not right when marking the holes.
I just used the common sense approach.
Remove the top cover, place anchor on ground, use small drill bit (8mm in this case) and drill shallow pilot holes through the 4 holes the bolts will go through!
You will need a 16mm masonry drill bit to drill the actual holes, and remember if you are not using an SDS drill, change the setting to hammer or you could be there a while! 🙂
Once you have fitted the bolts and tightened them up (an allen key is supplied but I used an impact driver) you place one of the 4 supplied ball bearings into the top of each bolt and then apply a couple of quick hits with your trusty persuasion tool (hammer) to make them permanently secured. Well this side of a disc cutter anyway.
Final job is to fit top cover, secure with the 2 small bolts and apply the protective caps.
After that, you are set.
Overall, I am very impressed with the quality.

Excellent Ground Anchor That Enhances The Safety Of My Bicycle
Excellent product. Easy to install provided you used a little common sense and not the template that came with it. Am convinced that by using this anchor my bikes will be much more difficult to steal.

This wall or floor anchor is easy to fit if you have the big drill bits needed to fit it. It is made from thick steel .
Remember once the security balls are inserted in the screws it will be quite a struggle to move it, so get the position right the first time.

Good sturdy thing. Quite liked the little ball bearings that come in the box that, when you’ve anchored it all into the ground with the expanding bolts, you hammer the ball bearings into the allen caps on the bolt heads so people can’t undo them in a hurry. Make sure you choose the right place to bolt the anchor down to first though, once the ball bearings are hammered in, it isn’t going to be an easy job to move or relocate it! This can only be a bonus if a thief comes along though. A+, was that good I bought another one again.

The anchor is good, the packaging comes with a template to drill the holes which I used. The holes in my house were completely wrong, far too near together and we’re perfectly drilled through the template

I have bought this FD-MOTO previously & found it easy to fit. I found myself needing another & didn’t hesitate to buy the same again. In my opinion very sturdy. I have seen reviews saying that the template holes do not match on the card, but I just marked them on the card with a pen & then used that, simple. Well happy

High quality, sturdy fitting – very easy to install (don’t use the template, which several buyers report as being the wrong size – just offer up the unit to the wall and use it to mark where holes should be drilled). Very secure.

Robusto e ben fatto , se lo fissate ad un muro i tasselli in dotazione tengono bene se il muro di cemento o mattone pieno , altrimenti passate a quelli in plastica che vanno bene sempre

I have received the product very quickly, it seems of very good quality, it fits perfectly with my 12mm Oxford Monster chain, it is well welded, and when I install it and have been using it for some time I will make another comment.

This is a serious piece of kit which is why I have given it 5 stars.

Robusto y resistente. Lo nico es que los tirafondos que lleva no son vlidos para ladrillo hueco. Por lo dems cumple con su cometido.

Robusto. Lo he puesto en pared utilizando solo los tornillos con tamices y taco qumico y queda muy fijo. Para quitarlo se tendr que utilizar una radial y con ella los amigos de lo ajeno se cargan este anclaje y cualquier otro ms caro.

No tuve problemas con la instalacin pues empec con una broca de 6 mm y fui subiendo a la siguiente cada dos mm hasta llegar a la de 16 mm. Se ve que es un producto muy robusto pero como es obvio no he intentado ni arrancarlo ni cortarlo

Ich war anfangs skeptisch, aber dieser Wandanker hlt wirklich bombenfest. Tipp: groen 16er Bohrer gleich mitbestellen. Beim Anbringen musste ich etwas tfteln, aber man bekommt es hin. Die Dbel werden am besten MIT eingedrehter Schraube vorsichtig versenkt. Wichtig ist, dass das vorderste Stck, in dem das Gewinde steckt, mit dem Rest des Dbels verbunden bleibt. Beim Festdrehen der Schrauben spreizt dieser dann die Dbel auseinander. Ich bin zufrieden!

per oggetti di valore consiglio vivamente l’aggiunta di colla bicomponente sui tasselli in funzione anti-rimozione (diversamente le brugole permettono di rimuovere i tasselli e quindi l’intero blocco)

My friend installed this as he had the correct drill bits. Seemed relatively straight forward. It seems very sturdy and secure with a good size loop for my bike chain.

Very simply, I think I’ll be leaving this behind if I ever need to move house – it’s the most secure thing in the neighbourhood, followed shortly by my motorbike! It took some drilling to install but once there it is a serious piece of security fixing kit!

Erst wenn man das Produkt aus der Verpackung nimmt, sieht und merkt man so richtig, dass das eine gewichtige und stabile Befestigung ist, die man in der Hand hlt. Und nach dem Bohren der vier 16 mm Lcher geht die Befestigung an der Wand ohne Probleme. Ich hatte zwar keinen Elefanten zur Prfung der Festigkeit zur Hand, aber mit meinen Shnen mal krftig gezogen und gerttelt: Hlt bombenfest, dicke Kette dran und “Radel” ist gesichert. So sollte es auch sein, also Daumen hoch!

Puse este anclaje en mi garaje comunitario para atar las bicicletas y creo que sera mas fcil que me las robaran rompiendo la bicicleta que el propio anclaje. Se ve bastante fuerte.
El mecanismo que tiene para instalarlo. Se puede desmontar sin querer y es difcil volver a montarlo, adems, si haces los agujetos demasiado profundos quizs te quedes sin las plaquitas expansoras de agarre.
Pero en general volvera a comprarlo.

Was pretty easy to install but needed to borrow powerful electric Bosch drill with proper chuck that grips the drill bit with grooves, rather than my rechargeable drill that simple didnt have the power/grip to get thru 1/1,5” thick paving.

lo tengo anclado en el garaje y ato la moto, fcil de instalar. Recomiendo soldar los tornillos al acero para no poder desmontarlo

Sembra piccolo ma non lo . Con i 4 tasselli da 16, le piastre antri effrazione e le sferette per deformare l’esagono (ed impedire lo evitamento) Cina siciretta. Nell’anello ci faccio passare una catena da 16 mm di sezione senza problemi

Il grado di sicurezza che offre il prodotto sembra buono/ottimo, anche se, a detta di esperti del settore, i possibili ladri se dispongono di un buon flessibile anche portatile sono in grado di tagliare il supporto in pochi minuti. Se non altro per, il dispositivo consente di rallentare il furto ed risaputo che i ladri non dispongono di molto tempo e questo pu aiutare.
Partendo dal presupposto che nulla davvero a prova di ladro, questo gancio mi sembra uno dei deterrenti migliori.
La qualit sembra ottima, le dimensioni sono maggiori di quanto si possa immaginare dalle foto; si riesce a far passare anche due catene al suo interno.
Il gancio saldato al centro, quindi escluderei la possibilit di forzarlo facendo leva con una spranga, a differenza di altri ganci simili su Amazon. Per una sicurezza ancora maggiore ho messo della resina bi-componente sui tasselli e del frena filetti extra-forte sulle viti.
L’installazione richiede strumenti di buon livello: per scavare 4 fori da 16mm nel calcestruzzo serve per forza un tassellatore o un ottimo trapano battente.

Adding extra security to my caravan, this is bolted to a wall alongside it. The four wall bolts holding it in need 16mm holes and I had to buy a masonry drill especially for this. I started with an 8mm hole, then a 10mm, 12mm and finally the 16mm. After one bolt was in, I attached the device to the wall and used the holes on the back plate as a template for the other holes. After the back plate is finally bolted up the ball bearings were a tight fit in the hex holes. Some reviewers have said theirs were loose, mine needed hammering in. All in all a good value device.

Buen anclaje dentro de su precio. Los tacos son para hormigon . Lo he puesto en ladrillo pero voy a cambialarlos por qumicos, por motivos evidentes.

Bigger than it looks and very sturdy. Easy to install and keeps bikes safe within garage. Would also work externally and deter any nasty thiefs. Get the right drill bit and it’s fixed in 10 minutes.
