Great for the price point.
I’ve been wanting a thermal camera for a while. The first one arrived with shipping damage. I ordered a hard backed, foam padded case from that huge outdoor store. It was half as much as I found here and they show the size in the listing.
The image is a little small, but it does the job well. The on/off button has to be held down for ten seconds or more. It’s a little annoying, but doable. The images help me in my diagnosis and the screen shows the temp which is helpful. I use this in my laundromat to diagnose machines and in my electronics repair hobby.
I replaced an ignitor on a dryer, turned it on and before I could verify it was working by touch, I could see on the Flir that it was already heating up.
I tried to use it on my OLD home looking for air leaks, but couldn’t find anything. I probably need to get much closer to windows and doors. I was assuming I could see heat coming out from 20-30 feet away and I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Battery lasts quite long on this setup, so you can run around plenty of minutes without recharging it. USB recharge makes it a no brainer, you will always find a power source.

This did the trick in finding where insulation was needed, however, the front cover fell off like many other users reported. This is a great product with a high build quality and I didn't expect it to happen I'll be returning and purchasing another version.

This cam is in no way equal to the high end models, but is close enough, the average person will not need or care about the difference in features and performance. The TG165 is a great bargain and a very user-friendly thermal cam.

Super usefull to find problems on the gas burners of the machinery, as well as overloaded electrical breakers. Just wish the screen was a little bigger. But it's good for the price.

So many possibilities with this. You can see hot spots on a circuit board, insulation issues on the house or in plumbing. Check to see if someone has a temperature. The more you use it the more uses you find for it.

I'm very pleased with this product. It does not have a ton of extra features but it does what I want it to do. Show me the temperature of things in my home. The battery stays charged for quite a long time and it is easy to use. It is sensitive enough that I can see the heat left by my feet on the floor while my feet are still in my slippers. You can easily see the heat left by your fingertips if you touch your counter top or you can see the studs in an exterior wall. Absolutely fantastic for seeing what is hot and where heat is being lost in the house.

Amazing quality
I use this for automotive and electrical diagnostics and have only charged yhe batteries once after owning it for over a month and this includes my kids finding all of our hot water pipes around the house haha

In my professional career I used a number of expensive test and trouble shooting devices in Healthcare facilities management and this affordable device along with other devices i.e. an ultra sound detector, gas detector, temperature detector which I have purchased through Amazon and they perform as well as high price industrial devices.

Pretty much a point and shoot interface. Definitely solid value if you happen to need a thermal imager. It's a pretty niche thing, but you can find areas that are cold in your house and then fix them which definitely saves money long term.

J’avoue ne pas m’en servir trs souvent.
Cependant il m’a permis
– De dcouvrir un tuyau qui passait sous le carrelage de la cuisine
– De reprer un pont thermique dans l’angle d’une chambre
– De connaitre exactement le passage du conduit de ma chemine (pour viter de percer au milieu)
– De reprer quelques prises de courant qui laissent passer de l’air froid (plus que les autres en tout cas)
Je le prte galement autour de moi assez rgulirement pour ce mme genre de dtection.
Il suffit de pointer le laser sur l’endroit que l’on souhaite analyser et d’appuyer sur la gchette pour prendre un instantan. Ceux-ci sont enregistrs sur une carte microSD de 8Go fournie avec l’appareil. Chaque fichier gnr fait 75ko (au format bitmap : 174*220 pixels)
La temprature pointe s’affiche en haut gauche. L’appareil fonctionne par contraste thermique. Si vous avez dans votre ligne de mire un objet trs chaud, c’est lui qui prendra toute la gamme de rouge et vous ne verrez pas les petits contrastes qui pourraient y avoir autour.
Une dragonne permet de ne pas faire tomber l’appareil qui de toute faon tient bien en main grce sa poigne ergonomique.
L’insertion de la carte SD se fait sur le dessus, juste ct du port micro USB qui permet de le recharger avec le chargeur fourni. (ou avec un chargeur de tlphone par exemple)
La batterie tient vraiment longtemps. J’ai fait une charge il y’a 10 mois de cela et je suis toujours 100%.
Flir est une marque professionnelle, ce modle est un des plus petits de la gamme. Pour un usage occasionnel, il suffit largement.
Maintenant vous de voir si dpenser 400 en vaut la peine.
Pour ma part je me suis fait plaisir, mais quand je m’en sers je suis content d’avoir fait l’investissement.

A great little tool for finding where our insulation is lacking, or there is a heat leak from our furnace. Things that are hard to evaluate without such a tool. I'm sure we'll find all sorts of uses for this device, it may even be fun. :D

You can resize and upscale them, using some photo software. Flir does have a free software that you can make reports from the photos. The version that would make the photos better, and provide features, is a few hundred dollars.

E’ una termocamera economica in rapporto ad altre della stessa marca che comunque una garanzia di seriet del prodotto. Ed infatti, in rapporto al prezzo, mantiene le promesse. Lo schermo relativamente piccolo ma pi che sufficiente all’uso ma la definizione non certo elevata. Tuttavia per un uso occasionale un buon prodotto. Ho rilevato con facilit tubazioni di impianti idraulici sotto traccia: ovvio che debbano per avere una temperatura diversa dalle strutture in cui sono posate altrimenti si confondono. Per sufficiente il flusso di acqua calda per evidenziare la conduttura cos come l’acqua fredda “segna” il tubo sotto traccia. Identifica bene i ponti termici di spigolo e son riuscito ad evidenziare anche l’orditura di travetti di solai in laterocemento.
Fornita con una micro SD da 16 gb per memorizzare le immagini che sempre possibile visionare in tempo reale e decidere poi se salvarle o meno. Peccato che nel jpeg ricavato non compaia la scala cromatica delle temperature. Mentre appare la temperatura rilevata dal sensore termico al centro del “mirino” Allego alcune immagini in cui appare un solaio con accennata l’impronta dei travetti ( notare che gli ambienti che il solaio divideva erano alla stessa temperatura e quindi poco o nulla disperdenti) con evidenti tracce di ponte termico di spigolo ed immagini di un rubinetto miscelatore da vasca in cui sono evidenziati i tubi verticali di adduzione sotto traccia. Per ultima uno scarico di sottolavello ove sono evidenti i tubi di scarico nella muratura ( da gialli dello scarico caldo di quelli esterni a blu quelli in traccia)
Sarebbe stata gradita una custodia acclusa.
Piccola e maneggevole, con batteria al litio ricaricabile di buona durata quindi un buon prodotto. In rapporto al prezzo merita le 5 stelle.
Test dans une maison. Plusieurs ponts thermiques et pb d’isolant non prsent trouvs. Aprs travaux, le diagnostic est bien confirm. Test avec mise en route radiateurs pour vrifier monte en temprature (thermomtre sur radiateur) : trs lger dcalage entre les deux plus de 5 mtres. Parfait !
Ho preso da poco questo prodotto, ottimo per l’immagine sul monitor poco dettagliata. Forse non la so ben usare, ma l’immagine “sgranata” appena si distinguono gli oggetti, forse per il prezzo non si pu chiedere di pi o forse semplicemente non vi ho ancora preso confidenza.
Un’altra cosa che non mi chiara, la scala graduata visibile lateralmente priva di riferimenti di temperatura non sono indicati i valori di minimo e massimo quindi sembra solo un riferimento estetico, non tecnico. Sulle immagini salvate poi non viene proprio rappresentata.
Aggiorner il post una volta capito meglio i limiti e il funzionamento.

Funziona benissimo! Addirittura salva le immagini sulla scheda facilmente scaricabili sul PC, immagini di buona risoluzione!!! Non ha la custodia per ma.. sinceramente non ha importanza dato che il prodotto ottimo e … lo schermo si non molto grande ma … ha un’eccellente visualizzazione, le immagini si vedono molto bene come da una lente. Secondo me dall’ottima qualit rapporto prezzo pi che eccellente!!!
Wir haben uns diese Wrmebildkamera zugelegt, um unsere unter Putz verlegte Wandheizung lokalisieren zu knnen. Das klappt damit optimal, aber auch Undichtigkeiten an Fenstern etc.. Rein subjektiv wrde ich (=Frau, Nichttechnikerin) sagen, sie ist sehr einfach zu bedienen, nachdem einige Rezensionen doch nicht so gut waren, und von falscher Bedienung gesprochen wurde, hatte ich wirklich etwas schwierigere Bedienung erwartet, das ist nicht der Fall, einfach und sogar eher intuitiv. Fr unseren privaten Zweck somit vllig ausreichend, wrde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Excepto que no vena el cargador. Al ser un cargador de mvil normal y corriente, no lo necesito; tengo en cuenta que asum un riesgo al adquirirlo por debajo de su precio nominal.

Chiaro che non una termocamera da 2000 e passa euro quindi non ci si pu aspettare rilievi e misurazione a livello professionale, la sensibilit del sensore termico il minimo sindacale 150 mk ma per un utilizzo rapido pi che ottima. Io ad esempio la porto al lavoro e riesco ad individuare subito problemi di circolazione dell’acqua in impianti di riscaldamento centralizzati, perdite di acqua da tubazioni interrate massimo di 15 cm, ostruzione di tubazioni esterne che magari sono posizionate in punti alti senza ausilio di scale o ponteggi, riesco a notare con discreta facilit le infiltrazioni d’aria dalle finestre di casa, individuare le travi di cemento nei solai come anche le colonne portanti (solo a determinate condizioni per, nel senso che l’ambiente deve prima essere tutto molto freddo, poi si lascia acceso il riscaldamento per un apio di ore in modo da creare il differenziale termico tra la muratura leggera che si scalda ed il cemento pieno delle travi che rimane freddo per pi tempo) insomma mi semplifica il lavoro e lo rende pi veloce ad un prezzo onestissimo direi

Ich wollte in unserer Wohnung Mngel bei Verlegung der Fubodenheizung nachweisen. Das Gert zeigt unter dem Parkett jede Windung und eben auch die Fehlenden. Auch die undichten Stellen an Fenstern sind schn zu sehen.

I am realizing after the fact that when sharing images produced by the FLIR that it is not always easy to remember the focus of the photo.
Feature request: It would like attach a voice recording to the images produced by the FLIR. Maybe allow for copying data from a smartphone related to GPS location including elevation and direction the FLIR is pointing. Our issue is that the Handyman takes the images and then uploads to our work order system. Not always easy to ID a FLIR image after.

Realisticamente non ci puoi fare la classificazione energetica della casa, ma i grossi spifferi ed i percorsi dei tubi di riscaldamento quelli si vedono, anche riscaldamenti anomali dell’impianto elettrico. Usabile per misurare temperatura bottiglie vino, gelatina, souffl ed altri cibi senza contatto che sporca. Si pu anche verificare la bont dei termostati del forno e del frigorifero, io la tengo in cucina a portata di mano. Autonomia di mesi.

In fact, some areas I was actually able to see the studs behind the wall because of the stark temperature difference between outside and my inside temp. The settings are very user friendly, so I was able to customize within a few seconds. I researched this product for a while before taking the plunge and considered cheaper alternatives. However, I think the price was well worth it. I couldn’t imagine getting more of my money’s worth.

Only had it a few days, but already have used it to locate a hot water leak under a concrete slab in an apartment building.

It was better then expected..pictures are of ceiling with a square light, one with a camera other with FLIR TG165 . I did not have to resort to the user manual to operate it which is very important to me.. Im one of those guys that will read the instructions only if i have to… Easy menus to set date and other parameters… the ceiling shot shows the framing above the ceiling on how the light was mounted and looks. I was able to find hidden heat sources that i was not aware of.. had a shredder in stby mode and it was cool to the touch everywhere but apparently not the case internally there was a spot showing significant heat, same with transformers, some normal some excessive.. $350 bucks is a lot for my budget but well worth it.. I asked FLIR as an entry level which is better for application I was going to use it for FLIR ONE or TG165 and the answer was quick the TG165. Well I have not had any other thermal camera so cant may reference but Im glad I bought it..

I was able to find hidden heat sources that i was not aware of.. had a shredder in stby mode and it was cool to the touch everywhere but apparently not the case internally there was a spot showing significant heat, same with transformers, some normal some excessive.. $350 bucks is a lot for my budget but well worth it.. I asked FLIR as an entry level which is better for application I was going to use it for FLIR ONE or TG165 and the answer was quick the TG165. Well I have not had any other thermal camera so cant may reference but Im glad I bought it..
Exactly what I expected. Easy to use. Came partially charged, ready to use and with a flash card.

In particolare ho utilizzato il dispositivo per rilevare il percorso delle tubazioni dell’acqua calda sotto il pavimento. Sono pronto al prossimo utilizzo!

I purchased this to use in classes where we teach about machinery modification for lubrication best practices as it relates to equipment reliability. The first class I took this too was blown away when they could see why they were having oxidation issues and where their critical gearboxes were storing heat. I knew that thermography would have a good impact on the training, I just didn’t realize just how much of a difference it would make to the students for actually having the tool in their hands while going through the class.
I will say that I wish I had sprung for the E6, but at the price point this tool definitely does an outstanding job. I would highly recommend for anyone trying to get started in thermography and especially for anyone running a lubrication program inside a manufacturing facility.

This thing is too much fun!! Our home has radiant heating and it multi levels. So I wanted to double check where the pipes was routed for the upstairs levels. Works perfectly! This works for so many things, inside temps, air leaks around windows etc. It also has a Micro SD slot (came with a card as well) so you can record imagines. I’m currently on the road and away from my Flir imagines.

Il Sensore IR da 40 x 80 Pixel riesce a fornire una scansione sufficiente per valutare numerosi aspetti qualitativi e quantitativi (Spifferi d’aria infissi, Tubi del riscaldamento caldi, Orditura solaio, Strutture in cemento armato all’intero di Muri etc…., zone calde e fredde in casa, Surriscaldamento componenti elettrici/Quadri elettrici…))
Da valutare il Modello Flir ONE e Flir One Pro….forse pi performanti nell’immagine sul display. Il PRo ha un sensore IR + grande…. Il limite doverli per usare abbinati ad uno smartphone e scegliere Android/Ios a priori…
Un prodotto valido ed utile a questa cifra…..occorrono cifre doppie o molto superiori per ottenere pi di questo.
Un display leggermente + grande e performante non sarebbe stato male….
Das FLIR Wrmebild Pyrometer ist an sich nichts anderes als ein Infrarot-Thermometer mit einer Visuellen Anzeige. Es eignet sich perfekt um Klte- bzw. Wrmebrcken aufzuspren oder eine Hitze- bzw. Wrmequelle zu bestimmen. Alles in einem ein tolles Gert fr einen sehr guten Preis. Die Auflsung ist natrlich nicht mit einer Wrmebildkamera zu vergleichen, aber hier sprechen wir auch von knapp 320 Euro im Vergleich zu 2.000 bzw. 3.000 Euro.
Da ich nichts negatives von diesem Gert berichten kann, vergebe ich gerne 5 Sterne.
Very well built unit. I am very happy with my purchase and I believe it will suit my usage well. I gave it only 4 stars for a couple reasons.
To start the image quality is nowhere near as good as the demonstration imagines (which I already assumed). This unit simply is not detailed enough for anyone who wants that fine detail. However for Tradesmen using it for maintence to detect hot bearings, breakers, relief valves, etc. This is detailed enough to do the job, and feels sturdy. For the price it is a perfect compromise on detail compared to the higher end models.
My second reason for only 4 stars, is it does not come with a case. You have to order the case serperatly. The Case is very good quality and worth the extra cost. However in my opinion it really should come with the unit.

grande precisione e ripetibilita’ della misura. stando alle caratteristiche la misura viene effettuata tramite sensore, la termoimmagine resta di supporto. per si riesce con facilit a misurare anche parti molto piccole della zona inquadrata tanto da far sorgere il dubbio che il sistema si appoggi alla termocamera pi che al sensore.
inizialmente stavo per cambiarla con la flir one ma poi ho scelto di restare per questi motivi:
– autonomia nettamente superiore
– decisamente molto pi resistente nelle cadute
– precisione e gamma di misurazione maggiori
– la usi facilmente con una mano sola
– non mi occupa il telefono
inoltre la flir one ha molte limitazioni software rispetto alla pro che la ridimensionano parecchio.
unica pecca la mancanza della doppia camera, termica e visibile, che personalmente ritengo utile quando si ha necessit di riesaminare le immaggini in quanto aiuterebbe a riconoscere il soggetto.
inoltre l immaggine fornita dalla tg165 non riporta dati termigrafici, solo un semplice bmp, una scelta credo commerciale che la rende meno interessante per gli eventuali report.
quindi ottima per le analisi sul posto e per chi non ha bisogno di report appariscenti.
Wie schon von einigen Rezensenten beschrieben, muss man mit so einer Kamera umgehen knnen. Die Auflsung ist recht grob, das ist dem Preis geschuldet. Ich benutze diese Kamera, um Gebudeisolationen und Fenster zu berprfen. Man muss ein bisschen Bescheid wissen. Z.B. sollte man kein Stck klaren Himmel im Bildausschnitt haben. Der Himmel hat kaum bzw. keine Infraroteinstrahlung (ausser die Sonne selbst), und wirkt daher immer als sehr kalte Stelle. Das fhrt dazu, dass der Rest des Bildes in orange-Rot-Tne getaucht wird, auch kalte Fassaden im Winter. Das Kamerabild liefert nur brauchbare Werte und Informationen im differenziellen Vergleich. Man wird bspw. bei einem Fassadenbild leicht erkennen, wenn eine Heizung hinter einer schlecht isolierten Wand sitzt. Oder wenn ein Fenster nicht dicht ist und auf diese Weise warme Luft austritt und den Fensterrahmen dadurch von aussen wrmt. Man kann gut isolierte Fenster von schlecht isolierten Fenstern unterscheiden. Auch Innenaufnahmen bringen Erkenntnisse, Kltebrcken bspw.
Wobei hier einfaches Anfassen von Oberflchen natrlich gleich die selbe Erkenntnis bringt, nicht fr alles braucht man solche Messgerte, oft hilft der gesunde Menschenverstand oder etwas Logik sowie die eigene Hand als Messgert.
Nicht immer ist das Monitorbild sehr brauchbar, es gibt Schwankungen in der Darstellung. Wer hochaufgelste Fotos zwecks Dokumentation bentigt, ist mit dieser Kamera vermutlich nicht richtig ausgestattet. Allerdings, fr mich das Highlight, gibt es ein Fadenkreuz als Messpunkt, und dieses Fadenkreuz liefert eine Temperaturanzeige, mit 1/10-Grad Auflsung. Klar, kann man hier keine hochprzise Messung erwarten, aber es funktioniert (je nach Oberflche) erstaunlich gut.
Und hier kommt mein Tipp zur sinnvollen Anwendung: Oft gibt es die Mglichkeit von Vergleichsmessungen. Bspw. zwei verputzte Huser, beide innen geheizt. Vergleichend nimmt man nun Aussentemperaturmessungen an der Fassade vor (oder an Fenstern). Hhere Temperaturmesswerte bedeuten eine schlechtere Isolierung.
Messungen sollte man natrlich an kalten Winterabenden vornehmen.
Genau fr diesen Einsatzzweck finde ich die Kamera prima. Ich bekomme aussagekrftige Informationen zur Qualitt von Fenstern oder Fassadendmmungen hinsichtlich der Wrmeisolierung. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
Hilfreich auch zwei Laserpointer, mit denen man nachts den Messpunkt anvisieren kann. Der Messpunkt liegt in der Mitte zwischen den beiden roten Punkten.
Als Fieberthermometer natrlich ungeeignet.
Man kann sogar die Temperaturanzeige eichen, indem man auf einen Krper mit bekannter Temperatur zielt und mit dem Epsilon-Wert dann die Temperaturanzeige justieren kann. Anschliessend brauchbar zur Temperaturmessung von identischen Oberflchen.
Ein Beispiel: einen verputzten Mauerstein in einem geheizten Zimmer eine Weile liegen lassen. Die Zimmertemperatur przise messen mittels gutem Thermometer. Und nun kann die Kamera auf diese Oberflche geeicht werden. Anschliessend kann problemlos die Oberflchentemperatur von Fassaden mit hnlichem Verputz erstaunlich przise gemessen werden.
Die Vorjustierung der Kamera passt aber schon ganz gut fr viele Materialien.
Ich habe eine Wandheizung, wei aber nicht genau wo die Heizrohre im ca 3 – 5 cm dicken Lehm verlaufen. Und das sollte ich unbedingt wiissen, bevor ich einen Nagel in die Wand schlage. Bis vor kurzem hatte ich Zugriff auf eine Wrmebildkamera fr ein paar tausend Euro von einem Architekten, jetzt aber nicht mehr. Also schlau gemacht und bei diesem Flir Produkt gelandet. Heute erstmals ausprobiert und ich bin wirklich begeistert. Es zeigt eindeutig die Heizrohre an und selbst die im Bad hinter den Keramikfliesen verlegten Rohre wurden angezeigt. Das hat selbst die teure Architektenkamera nicht hinbekommen. Sehr prakrisch der Laser-Pointer mit dem man genau sieht wo der Messbereich ist. Einziger Minuspunkt ist, dass ein Akku Wechsel nicht mglich ist und wahrscheinlich dadurch die Lebvensdauer begrenzt sein wird. Aus diesem Grund ein stern Abzug.

Esattamente come me lo aspettavo. Devo ancora mettere mano al manuale per i dettagli, ma molto intuitivo. Sono soddisfatta e lo consiglio a chi, come me, si sta affacciando al mondo delle dispersioni termiche negli edifici.
