I was looking for a lighter hover mower. Having used this a few times I’m very pleased with it. I didn’t find it that easy to assemble but I did manage it on my own. There isn’t a grass collector and I would have liked a longer cable but it cuts well. Overall I’m pleased and would recommend it.

Overall cuts the grass great but let down by the handle. Tedious to assemble, cannot fold compactly without having to unscrew. Had to use pliers to secure the pins ( handle to mower). Even then vibrates extensively while mowing. Have had Flymo mowers previously but none had these problems.

I love my new flymo it cuts the grass really well and love the way the cord has holders to wrap around . Can’t fold the handle down yet but know it can be folded .

This lawnmower cuts decent enough. Downside is awkward handle folding and also the hold in lever which keeps the lawnmower going nips your hand often if you don’t be careful. I managed to purchase this item on offer but would not pay the original selling price as there’s better out there.

My son assembled the first mower and it didn’t look too difficult. I did find it hard to collapse the mower for storage as, unlike my previous Flymo where the handles just needed to be pushed in, with this they have to be loosened too. That also meant something flew off when I put it away. I lost one of the black holders for the leads on first use so they can’t be that tightly fitted. It was extremely hard to remove the nut for when ready to add spacers – needed 4 hands in the end but I am very happy with the mower overall, cuts nicely and my garden is uneven in places.

My 4th Flymo mower in 25 years, I thought this would be ideal for my medium sized and quite flat lawns. It does the job but not as well as the previous models. It seems to be more of a push mower than a hover, the front rollers quickly jamming with loose grass. Cuts OK, the grass box has a good capacity and it cleans easily. Flymo quality but at this price you do get what you pay for. I would only recommended for small lawns.

Mower was easy enough to assemble, no extra tools etc required. Only gripe would be folding the handle in to its storage mode is very difficult as you need to physically “squeeze” the two sides to get the handle to fold over. As the handle is also long it is an awkward little process and I’ve not yet got the knack!!
Mower cuts fine and you get a good amount of electric cord.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNot used yet as the lawn is under water but had many Flymos previously and all have been fine. HOWEVER Flymo seriously need to address the manner in which they attach the blade as it’s impossible to move the nut to add the spacers. Husband is a strong chap and couldn’t budge it, nearly stabbing himself with the spanner in the process. Needlessly difficult and quite dangerous. Fortunately son has a power line in his garage premises otherwise we’d have had to return it.

I like that it is lightweight and easier to use than my previous Flymo.

It does a great job of cutting the grass, and the collection box collects most of the cuttings.

Putting it together wasn’t straightforward, however. The folding handle mechanism is awful, and the lid doesn’t fit properly over the collection box. The box itself also doesn’t seem to fit properly.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a very small lawn and wanted something small, light and simple to take care of it.

    It does the job, just.

It’s called a hover mower, but it does nothing of the sort and requires far more force than I remember when using old Flymo models back in the 90s.

It’s plastic in every sense of the word and doesn’t really feel like it’ll last. The lid for the grass collection bin doesn’t secure, so flops around when moving or storing. The bin itself doesn’t clip in, and so is equally floppy.

On the positive-ish side, it does collect grass well but the extra weight of that grass adds to the lack of hovery-ness and makes things more difficult.

Not great, not (absolutely) terrible. 3.5, rounded up to 4 because it’s Friday.

This is not lightweight, i have a hard time getting it to fold up, not sure how long the plastic bolts will last so i best look for some nut and bolts to replace them. It is easy to use, glides over the lawn. Like most lawnmowers it doesn’t pick up all the grass. I am very happy with this. I hope the information helps others that are thinking of buying this. It’s also easy to set up and comes with instructions. It is not loud when turned on. It has a two way of storing the handle it can be folded flat or hang on the wall.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this as a replacement for our previous mower of the same type. I had the previous one given to me and I had it may years. The new mower is the same apart from having somewhere to store the cord more easily.
I was going to purchase a cordless mower but This one is more powerful and I don’t have to think about having to charge up the batteries when i want to mow. I don’t have to worry about the grass being too long as I know this mower will cope not if it is damp as this mower will cope. My lawn is about 50M 2 and this size mower is just right i can cut it in 15 mins . I might have to empty the box x2 at the most . it is also cheaper.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis model has changed little in about 10 years because it just works so well. We replaced our mower like for like with the latest model when it finally broke because we knew it meets our needs well. They’ve added a cable tidy system on the side which is a nice touch. It’s a little more fiddly to put the grass cutting collector back after emptying maybe because it appears they’ve reduced the plastic content. I’d guess for cost savings and reduction in materials used? At the price point I’m happy. If this one lasts ten years I cant complai

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHad a flymo with plastic blades before this always catching stones and breaking. It was a pain changing them plus it made you jump when it caught one quite loud.
I had it for twenty years till it said goodnight and went to rest in the flymo graveyard.

This has a metal blade on it and you can set the depth to cut the grass on it, which makes a big difference. That said does it make the grass grow quicker , im not sure haha.
Ive used it once and it was fine cutting the grass, you can hear it catch stones etc but it just brushes them away.
All in all not bad, bit fiddly putting together but who likes putting things together via instructions in twenty different dialectics with the wind blowing in your garden.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis Flymo is so easy to use and lightweight. It collects the grass that’s collect perfectly but fills up quickly. Therefore, if you have a very large garden, I would go for a larger grass box. The blade underneath is very strong and cut through thicker scrubs with easy. You can get fairly close up to a wall but would still need a strimmer for a nice, neat finish. First time I have owned a lawnmower with a grass box on the back and it made such a difference to the finish instead of spitting it back out all over the garden. I would recommend this machine to anyone. The grass box is so easy to attach and detach, which was one of the things I was pondering over when looking to purchase a new lawnmower and I wasn’t disappointed. Flymo are a trusted company and at this price, you really can’t go wrong. The box had seen better days when it arrived, but everything was as it should be when I opened it and very well protected.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great mower but there are a few things that could be better. I thought this was the same model as my last mower but there are a three things that are different. A) the lead does not detach from the machine and doesn’t reach as far. B) folding the handle to store it is a bit if a faff and would be difficult to do for someone who isn’t very strong with their hands. C) there is more vibration that comes through into the handles and it seems much nosier than my last Flimo. Aside from this it cuts well and is light enough for my requirements!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this for my ‘postage-stamp’ sized lawn and the mower is very capable of producing a good manicured garden lawn. It’s very easy to assemble and the instructions supplied are easy to follow. The mower comes with spacers to adjust the height of the blade for different grass lengths, just remember to follow the correct sequence when reassembling.
The downside, in my opinion, is the machine plastics are poorly made and do not fit very well together. The lid to the grass collecting box has a fairly large gap around it which causes the cuttings to fly everywhere except in the box. The box for the cuttings also doesn’t quite fit snuggly onto the top of the motor, which in turn let’s cuttings enter the motor! Therefore after each cut it means having to vacuum the grass cutting out of the machine as well around the paths etc.
This is really only a minor problem that may just be a one off and this is only my opinion. It’s still a better machine for the price opposed to others I’ve tried and worth the extra 10 minutes clean up after the job!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our Users(Many) years ago I worked for Black &Decker when they made hover mowers. Ours was very simple but very robust, made from ABS plastic. My own example gave many years of service. This appears to be mostly polypropylene, which is cheap, light weight, more robust than it looks but its physical appearance will soon deteriorate – glossy finishes are inappropriate for a lawn mower. To hover it requires a powerful motor (which it has) and very light weight (which it is). Forget grass collection, these things mulsh the grass and the principle of operation makes collection inevitably ‘hit and miss’. If it had a sensible size grass box and did collect all the cuttings it would become too heavy to hover!

Most complaints concern the change to a metal lower handle. The old moulded – on plastic lower handle could be used to carry the mower, but this one is much longer and so only you people over seven feet tall can now do that. Lucky you. The plastic snap- on bolts are really daft. Mine seem okay at. present but its obvious that the handle has a ‘wrenching’ effect and many of these will snap out as easily as they snap in (see photo). Like another reviewer I will replace mine with proper metal ones, but the plastic bracket supporting them also looks inadequate . The hooks for holding a stowed cable are much too close together and, anyway, if you stow the mower with the handle folded they cannot be used at all. However, just dump the cable in the grass box (photo). Why were the changes made ? Possibly to save money on new tooling for the major plastic moulding.

Its not all bad! I am getting very old and have to carry the mower to reach the front garden. Though now rather awkward to lift this is very light and very easy to manoeuvre on the grass in confined spaces. There is a good metal blade and it cuts well – though I need to use all three blade spacers. With no spacer there is no cut! The grass box simply slides in and out. The mower was very cheap to buy – I paid less than 90 which, frankly, is ridiculous value for money. I could have paid even less by buying the model without grassbox. Hovers are for mulching the grass, not collecting it. Despite all the criticism this will doubtless do the job and compared with my six year old (and still serviceable) ‘old’ wheeled mower it is a pleasure to use. Ideally I’d give this mower 3 1/2 stars, but I’m feeling generous today.

Despite the daft handle design, a pleasure to use. Hovers cannot be all thing to all people.

Our lawn is not that large so this was more than adequate size. On a much bigger lawn you might want something with a bigger grass box. It is a rough surface and the Easiglide copes with it well enough. This is the second of these I’ve had.

Pain to wrap cord around handle. Need to unscrew bolts to lower handle and the bolt is too short to leave in the mower once the handle is unscrewed. Silly design as this could have been so much easier as it is on other flymo where you squeeze the handlebar to fold and unfold.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHaving struggled for many years with using a standard electric mower on my very uneven lawn, I decided to do somecresearch before my next lawnmower purchase. I discovered that Flymo Hover Mowers are designed with uneven ground in mind so decided to give one a go.
POSITIVES: I have to admit, it cits the lawn like a dream. The mower hovers off the ground on a cushion of air and can be moved in all directions, side to side, forwards and backwards, and you get a very even cut. Hover mowers don’t grip into the ground ripping into the turf or soild and can be used to mow right over the edge without the mower ruining the neat lines! It is also lightweight and not as noisy as my previous mowers either.
DOWNSIDES: Because the mower sits above the ground, not all of the cuttings are collected. Cut grass gets blown all over the person mowing, any nearby paths or up any fencing or walls near to the lawn. The basket does collect some of the cuttings but my old mower needed emptying 4 times just for the back garden lawn but the hover mower only needed emptying once and even then it wasn’t full.
Mowing may be easier but the clean up afterwards isn’t and I wasn’t expecting to have to sweep up the paths and sweep down the fencing after mowing the lawn. Another negative is that the mower may be able to run over the edge of the lawn but it does not cut it. After mowing, I was left with a long fringe of grass around the lawns and had to manually cut around the lawn. This also added extra time onto the mowing task.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users3 years ago, I purchased a Flymo Easiglide 300 which lasted almost 3 seasons until it packed up last week. I admit that it suffered terrible vibrations but eventually it needed replacement and here I am the owner of the exact same model number albeit under a new configuration.
What do I like? Well I like the cable is now held on the handle itself & the wheels look more sturdier & certainly help to move the mower along – I used it today and it gave a good cut.
What didn’t I like? I can no longer fold the handle as before & while the handle can be moved forward to hang the mower for storage I don’t have that luxury so I need to rethink my storage location.
I registered this Flymo online & received the additional 2nd year warranty. I could have had the 3rd year for 39 but decided against this.

What I also find annoying is that Amazon lump reviews for different models together, these reviews can give good information if they are all held together by product.

This is a great product with sturdy plastics and a built in grass box. Problem is that it is no longer as agile or light as the older (original?) Flymo models with this blade width. Flymo great for small areas. Easy to use as I am a pensioner. Only comment would be the cord is too short so had to use extension lead which some people may not have to hand!

I am so happy with the hover mower, it will take no time at all to get the job done, many thanks.

Flymo EasiGlide 300 Hover Collect Lawn Mower was fairly straightforward to assemble from the box. It copes pretty well (with a short extension lead) on nearly 100 sq m of lawn. Particularly good where the border is level paving; not so easy where it drops down.

At last somewhere to stow the lead on garden equipment! With hooks to wind the lead around. Quite easy to assemble and use but a bit difficult to turn at each end of the garden – not a massive problem.

This is more upmarket than my last mower. Being left handed I like the dual control which my last mower didn’t have.

    Ideal for medium sized lawns

I like this mower. My old flymo packed in after 5 years of use. It was only a 330 blade. This one is 360 and you can tell the difference. If you’ve got a big garden I recommend this one.

Replacement for a very old Flymo. This was very easy to assemble. the cable is rather short (compared with the old one) but apart from that it is easy to use, powerful, and cuts well. Having a grass collection box is a bonus after years of raking, although it make the mower more bulky to store.

There are cheaper brands out there but having used Flymo products for the last 30 years I know I will get a good quality and reliable product when I buy flymo. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it well.

This machine is a replacement for the pre-existing EasiGlide 360, now some eight years old. The new machine is very similar to the old but crucially, the cut is more even and it takes less time and less effort to cut the smallish piece of lawn at the front of our house. Alas, it is not much quieter than the old machine but that apart, I am happy with it.

Mt husband says that this Flymo Mower isn’t as good as the previous Model, which he had for several years, but that “it will do”

This is the best lawnmower I’ve owned.

My lawn is very bumpy and uneven and I find this glides over bumps and dips effortlessly. It’s a pleasure to use. Definitely recommend.

Have had Flymo previously, so pleased with the product performance. However on this model the handle arrangement makes it difficult to carry from place to place. My previous model had a carry handle but this one doesn,t.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use, powerful motor, wide blade and cuts lower than other mowers I considered. I have a very large, uneven garden and this is just perfect!

Have never used one before – I have used and am pleased with it overall. The only gripe I have is the grass collection into the box – it’s not that effective.

Easy to use and push around the grass. Not so easy to fold down the handle though as you have to push both sides of the handle in at the same time to get it to fold for storage. Pretty much impossible to do on your own and took 2 of us – one on each side – to finally fold it. Once you can get it to fold it packs away neatly.

Lightweight lawnmower and cuts well, slightly scuffed upon arrival but not worth returning over. So far so good with cutting and it is light when pushing and can fold away saving space.

I’ve always had Flymo lawnmowers and this is as good as any of the previous ones. I also like that there is cord storage on the actual mower when not in use. My garden is small to medium size and this is perfect for it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to put together and once you get the blade height correct gives a good cut.tip 2 spacers give a medium height cut. Don’t buy if you want a lined law

Light and easy to manoeuvre. It didn’t have 3 spacers needed(up to 3 allowed) for a close cut so I had to purchase some.Otherwise happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGot this to replace the same model. They have changed the handle design it’s not as good as the old one. I don’t think it feels as good quality, time will tell I guess.
