That my new electric mower stops working after few grass cuts
Would like to tell you my electric mower cuts fine at the start but then it stops working no reason for it to do that I would like to return it but didn’t think I would have problems with it so I recycle the box any help to fix i
Good Value
My lawn is larger than average with some areas of quite steep slopes. I had been using a petrol mower for many years but this summer it gave up. After doing some research I found a like for like replacement motor mower would cost me around 450-500, well outside my budget. However I noticed the Flymo got several good reviews & priced at just over 100 I thought I would chance it.
And am I glad I did.
Flymo are known for being decent quality & this model is driven by a powerful electric motor. It tackles everything I ask it to, even when grass has got quite long.
It glides over the steep slopes with ease, whereas my motor mower kicked up & slid off line making cutting these areas very hard work.
Having a power cord is inconvenient for sure, but it comes with a very long lead attached & together with an extension lead I didn’t find it a problem at all. Just be careful not to cut through the cable, it happens!!
The only fault I have with this model is the grass box container needs a window so you can check how full it is. A minor quibble but one easily solved by having a transparent lid. Down to production costs I suppose.
Assembly is very easy, couple of fittings to attach the handle & away you go. I’ve seen some reviews which criticize the need to fit spacers to the blade attachment to adjust the cutting height. This is a very easy process, I don’t see that as a problem at all. Also the spanner required to do this comes supplied with the mower as well.
Having a largish lawn I opted for the 36cm width model, but for those with smaller areas the 30 or 33cms width will be more than adequate for the job.
I attached 2 of the 3 spacers provided to lower the blade. This gives a very good low cut, leaving a nice tidy finish to the lawn.
All in all a very good quality product at a very good price.
Lightweight & easy to use.
I highly recommned it.
Upgraded produc
As I already had a flymo that broke, Replacing with what I thought was same product. I was surprised that new version was a larger version of old machine. I’M very happy with new product . 3 spacers is too low a cut , so will change to 2 .
A Pleasure to Use
Some people like mowing the lawn but they are usually quickly recaptured. This mower makes the job easy with very little effort from the user. This mower tackles both long and short grass without problem. I have not had the Flymo very long but up till now it has performed with no problems whatsoever.
All round a good mowe
Perfect if your Lawn is flat, harder to use if your lawn is uneven. Its a great mower and unlike my last does a better job of picking up the grass cuttings. Its powerful too and worked effortlessly through my first cut this year. The collection tub is easy to remove and place back. Overall Im pleased with this replacement I would only advice if you struggle with heavier items this is not the easiest to manoeuvre.
Purchased for uneven surfaces and also grass collection for use elsewhere in the garden, works very well at both pf these tasks – motor is very powerful and does not struggle at all even with tall damp grass, at 1800 watts this has to be one of the most powerful machines you can buy, good value too.
Build quality of the main machine is generally good, only let down by the top flap locking mechanism which is a small plastic catch, almost certain this will break over time.
Assemble is a doddle, although I did have to run a drill through one of the handle attachment holes as not fully clear, overall five stars as it doess the job well.
Works really well
I bought this to replace my old machine which finally gave up the ghost after about 15 years! The first thing I noticed were some of the issues in other reviews. The tightness of the nut that has to be unscrewed to fit the spacers is challenging to say the least. However a quick spray with WD40 solved the problem. It took me about 20 minutes to unpack and assemble the mower. Like some others I was surprised that the pins holding the handle to the body of the mower were plastic, time will tell if they work as well as the older metal ones! Of course the business and of this product is the cut which is very good. Personally I was surprised by how much of a difference the change from the old 33cm cut to the 36cm cut was. Mowing was much quicker and the bigger grass box really helps. Compared to my old machine this is a real improvement. Cord length is always an annoying issue, but as the extension used on my old machine still works it isn’t a problem. You might have to factor in the cost of the extension if this is a new machine. One last advantage of the new machine is how easy it is to wind the cable back onto the handle brackets. Good price, swift delivery, easy to get up and running, great cut – what’s not to like?
Very impressed!
..to be honest l had my doubts as to whether a flymo would cope with our back garden.. as it’s extremely uneven ..to the point of meadow-like with big thick grass tufts all though it! .. & worse at the moment as it’s been so incredibly wet! ..but how wrong I was.. it coped with no problem at all.. my only issue would be that some of the grass shoots out all over ..maybe because of the sheer volume of grass it’s cutting ..& now we have a nicely mowed lawn it may settle down on the next cut.. l may also have let the grass box fill up too much before emptying it.. no doubt we’ll soon find out. I would definitely recommend this mower ..l was well impressed with it.
Good value for a medium law
Big enough for a medium lawn (30×20 ft).
Easy to use, once you’ve fitted the handle.
Height adjustment tricky as nut holding blade is very tight to unscrew.
Would buy again.
Really great mowe
Always opted for Flymo, as it seems to be the only one that cuts short enough. This model is by far the best, the pick-up is really good and it takes so little time to mow a medium size law
The machine is bulky, like most hover mowers, which is a consideration if storage space is an issue, but lightweight enough to hang on the wall of a shed. However, weightsaving may be at the expense of build quality. The machine’s predecessor did 15+ years of regular service, but I have little confidence that this one will last nearly half as long. The handle is held on by a pair of plastic pins – one of these popped out twice during an undemanding first cut, and being dark grey, could easily have been lost in the garden. It would be simple to replace the pins with metal bolts, but owners shouldn’t need to do that. If Flymo have cut costs on something as basic as these, how robust can we expect the motor to be?
Adjusting the cutting height is a very fiddly business, requiring removal of the blade using a flimsy plastic spanner provided to insert/remove spacers. Having gone to the trouble of fitting these, gardeners are likely to just leave the mower permanently on its shortest cutting height (the default longest setting will be too long for most gardens). With all three spacers fitted, I’m very pleased with the standard of the cut. With care, the steel blade should last a long time, but we are advised not to sharpen it. This looks like a ruse to force owners to buy replacement parts from Flymo – there seems to be no reason why the blade couldn’t be sharpened.
it does not hover, as they used to.
Not had a Flymo for years, been out of the country , they used to hover a lot more perhaps its not supposed anymore to but makes it a bit difficult to push for me, cuts ok blade height adjustment a bit time consuming as you have to remove the blade and fit or remove the space
I’ve read reviews so I was forewarned. I bought this mower to replace one I’ve had a long time. The new model works on the same principal. It is however much lighter and I’m thinking flimsy than the old model and I doubt it will last as long. Whereas previous
ly the collecting tray sat inside a frame the tray now forms part of the main structure. This reduces weight but makes it less rigid. It is ergonomically better and uses less plastic.
Putting it together was not easy and I do think that the instructions could be clearer.
I have however used the mower on my grass which was really too long and i’m pleased to say it did a good job overall. It took quite a bit of cleaning afterwards but so did the old one. I’m as pleased with it as I expected to be.
Cuts really well. Not sure why Flymo always build with areas that unnecessarily collect grass. This replaced my excellent Flymo 380 with a 38cm blade and a 40ltr grass collection. Now with only 26ltrs it does mean more grass emptying.
Only used it once so far this yea
Nice product only used it once so far with no problem.usual fault with flymo of having too many nooks and crannies for grass to collect.but does a nice job
Flymo glider lawnmowe
Brilliant delivery service and a brilliant product and very easy to assemble..
Does the job
Does what it’s meant to do. I would write more but I finished my poo and I need to go now.
Flymo Easy glide 360
Great for my garden it has a bit of a slop good to use . TH
Good value. It does what it says on the tin. Good for small to medium lawns.
Good for small to small/medium lawns but would go for a petrol for large size lawns. Definitely recommend this one for more compact gardens.
works as you would expec
only thing i dont like is the way the handle folds – but thats only a minor poi
Not as good as the original
I bought this as a replacement for the same model I purchased 18 or so years ago. The original was a great machine, and buying the same model was the obvious choice.
Sadly the new model is a pale comparison and I very much doubt it will deliver 18 years of service. The build quality is much poorer and it seems a cheap copy of the original.
That said, the new model is much much lighter and far easier to manoeuvre than the original.
Good low cut easy to use.
It was much easier to use but was awkward to move from the shed to the lawn having to carry it. But was pleased with performance
I am very happy with the replacement flymo.
Thank you for sending me the replacement flymo, I used it over the weekend – very happy with it.
Many thanks
Customer service superb
The first mower to be delivered, had a manufacturer’s fault, could not assemble it, replacement sent within 24hrs, assembled in 20mins, and used straight away.
Easy to use
Only issue is part that holds handle at bottom first time I used it plastic holder kept coming out had to put in metal bol
Swings and roundabouts. Rake or manoeuvre!
This is my fifth flymo. I really like the brand. This is my first with a box. I thought I would have less work.i,el raking, but unfortunately I find the machine quite heavy in comparison and less easy to manoeuvre! Then again I’m not raking up the cut grass. Ideally I would prefer two machines. One with a box and one without. The box for the first cut and the other for every other!
I was eagerly awaiting this mower, it replaces my 27 years old Flymo hover mower. However despite the addition of rollers on the leading edge of the mower body, I still find it fairly difficult to manoeuvre. Having said that it’s a good mower, it has a powerful motor and three spacers are provided so that you can adjust the cutting height. Also there is provision for stowing the 10metre (32.8084ft) cable. Flymo claim it is fitted with a tough steel blade, but I’ve only used mine once and the blade is already badly damaged. I would guess that I will need two or even three blades every season, but still all things considered it is cheaper than hiring a gardener. I would recommend this mower, I like Flymo, and they are, as far as I can ascertain made in Britain. Flymo is owned by Husqvarna which is a Swedish company, but as far as I can ascertain Flymo hover mowers are made in Great Britain.
Better than the smaller version.
Decent length of cable but can’t conveniently fold the handle and use the cable storage feature at the same time.
Very powerful for such a light mowe
Very easy to assembly, very easy to fold for storage and powerful motor thus doing a great job
Decent price .
Good mower lightweight an easy to set up dose a decent job .
Good mowe
Excellent mower once you have put it together but unhappy with the fold down system which is very difficult and not easy to follow the poor instructions.
So convenient to use
Just waiting for the opportunity to use, weather needs to improve
Cuts the grass
Pain to wrap cord around handle. Need to unscrew bolts to lower handle and the bolt is too short to leave in the mower once the handle is unscrewed. Silly design as this could have been so much easier as it is on other flymo where you squeeze the handlebar to fold and unfold.
Decent Flymo
Lighter and more powerful than my previous model, (which did well for 20+ years) so I’m delighted.
Typical hover mower of course, does take a bit of sweeping up afterwards, but much easier to use in my sloped back garden.
great mowe
This mower was bought as a spare to the petrol one we have so we have not used it yet….. However we had a Flymo before we moved which was really good it cut the grass great, cleaned easy and lightweight but it was only good for a smaller garden unfortunately..
Does what it says on the tin.
I’ve always had a Flymo and the 330 is great for small to medium gardens. If you regularly mow your lawn in dry conditions it’s an easy job. Long and wet grass can make the job a lot harder. The 330 copes but in these conditions the grass box needs emptying every few minutes

Good replacement for aging Easiglide 300
After many years of reliable service, my Flymo 300 finally bit the dust so I bought this as a replacement. This is essentially just as good but has a wider cutting width (360mm as opposed to 300mm). It doesn’t have a transparent window and I didn’t think it work spending the extra to get one with the window because it’s easy enough to lift the lid to check if it is full. The handle is also a bit longer so when folded back, it takes up more space than the 300. It also has hooks for winding the cable on to for storage, which is a useful addition. This is a good upgrade to the 300 model, but is obviously that much bigger so bare that in mind.
Great for uneven lawns
Having struggled for many years with using a standard electric mower on my very uneven lawn, I decided to do somecresearch before my next lawnmower purchase. I discovered that Flymo Hover Mowers are designed with uneven ground in mind so decided to give one a go.
POSITIVES: I have to admit, it cits the lawn like a dream. The mower hovers off the ground on a cushion of air and can be moved in all directions, side to side, forwards and backwards, and you get a very even cut. Hover mowers don’t grip into the ground ripping into the turf or soild and can be used to mow right over the edge without the mower ruining the neat lines! It is also lightweight and not as noisy as my previous mowers either.
DOWNSIDES: Because the mower sits above the ground, not all of the cuttings are collected. Cut grass gets blown all over the person mowing, any nearby paths or up any fencing or walls near to the lawn. The basket does collect some of the cuttings but my old mower needed emptying 4 times just for the back garden lawn but the hover mower only needed emptying once and even then it wasn’t full.
Mowing may be easier but the clean up afterwards isn’t and I wasn’t expecting to have to sweep up the paths and sweep down the fencing after mowing the lawn. Another negative is that the mower may be able to run over the edge of the lawn but it does not cut it. After mowing, I was left with a long fringe of grass around the lawns and had to manually cut around the lawn. This also added extra time onto the mowing task.
Efficiency & Ease of use
Here is an update to my previous review – while I agree with some other people’s comments, (yes this new unit is lightweight, some call it “flimsy”) however, it is because of its light construction that this mower is so easy to use. It cuts grass extremely well and does, in fact “glide”. The cable is long enough (my garden is small) and its storage on the handle’s provided clips is adequate. – since purchase l have used / made approx. 7 cuts and yes, recommend this Flymo happily.
Easy to use
I am female, 76 but find the lawnmower very manageable. Lightweight and easy to use. Very manoeuvrable.
Ok
Always had flymo. This one doesn’t cut as well as my last one but it’s good enough. Nice to see winders for the cable…..improvement to have a tidy place to store it.
Flymo lawn mowe
Purchased for my mum of 78 to use, she is very pleased with it as it is light to use. We assembled together, which could of been done by the seller and folded flat into the box. Anyway was easy to assemble and flow away, very please with produc
Flymo Easiglide 300
3 years ago, I purchased a Flymo Easiglide 300 which lasted almost 3 seasons until it packed up last week. I admit that it suffered terrible vibrations but eventually it needed replacement and here I am the owner of the exact same model number albeit under a new configuration.
What do I like? Well I like the cable is now held on the handle itself & the wheels look more sturdier & certainly help to move the mower along – I used it today and it gave a good cut.
What didn’t I like? I can no longer fold the handle as before & while the handle can be moved forward to hang the mower for storage I don’t have that luxury so I need to rethink my storage location.
I registered this Flymo online & received the additional 2nd year warranty. I could have had the 3rd year for 39 but decided against this.
What I also find annoying is that Amazon lump reviews for different models together, these reviews can give good information if they are all held together by product.
Hope you like the review
It is impossible to fold up after use as described on instructions. Otherwise satisfactory.
I don’t like the fact that I’m unable to fold it up for storage as described on instructions. My old mower (the same make and model) was easier to store. Disappointing for that reason, otherwise satisfactory.
I gave it 5 stars BUT I find it a struggle
I have it a 5 star but for me it was a struggle getting it over the lawn. It was a bit heavy for me but for most people is is beneficial.

Great product! But better instructions/manual required
This is a great product.
The instructions guide/manual definitely needs lots of improvement though. It was difficult to find support/guide on internet as well. Good thing we were able to figure out how to fold/store it at the end.

Good value for the money
A little bit smaller than I’m used to but still works grea
Great for uneven law
Would be useful to have small top panel clear to see how full the box is

Does the job.
This was a replacement for an earlier (same) model. It has a couple of refinements – the handle is fitted with hooks to wind on the cable & is designed to either fold down or hang up for storage. It was also provided with extra washers to lower the cut. However the higher cut as supplied is ideal for me, as I encourage wild flowers & have planted crocuses & narcissi in the lawn.
Very pleased with this product,I've had the same mower before so replaced with the same.
Lawnmower is as expected, compact, easy to use, lightweight.Very pleased.
Lightweight produc
Great product. Would be nice if push handle could fold easily.
Builds muscle
Consider its meant fly on a cushion of air, your definitely gey a work out pushing it. Cuts ok though.
easy to assemble fast grass cutte
first use was ok but there was some vibration through the handle I have checked the blade looks ok but wonder if there is some imbalance with the blade it is put on correct anyone else had this would like some advice thankyou apart from that its a great lawn mower and cuts the grass fas
Lightweight and easy to use.
Replaced an ancient one which had cut its last blade of grass. Found it ideal on rather uneven lawns.
Easiglide 300
Does the job, however the bodywork is not as sturdy as the model 280. Hopefully it will last.
Good for medium lawns
Easy to use. Not sure how long it will last. Plastic is a tad flimsy!
Perhaps underpowered
Having had a larger Flymo for years this doesn’t seem much smaller but feels a fair bit less powerful. The blade is more flimsy. It is however good for small spaces and I have perhaps asked a bit too much of it…
Easy to store in confined space.
Not as good as my previous Flymo
This is a great product with sturdy plastics and a built in grass box. Problem is that it is no longer as agile or light as the older (original?) Flymo models with this blade width. If you did a survey of what users would like added to a Flymo you’d probably get this design. Why not stick with the original market leading model – simple and light. Progress is not always positive.
Powerful lightweight mowe
I bought this to replace my old version of the same model. Slight differences in the design, but the motor seems quieter and more powerful – may be jus the old one was tired.
Easy to put together although folding the handle is trickier than the previous one.
Value for money
This was a replacement for my Easi Glide 300V and is every bit as good (and cheaper). The 300V lasted over 7 years so hoping for sinilar for this one
Found my petrol mower getting heavier as I get older .. this flymo just hovers . I did sharpen the blade with blade sharpener from new making the cut very nice .. good job
Flymo easiglide
It’s ok but definitely not as sturdy as the previous model – it does the job but doubt it will last as long.
Great lightweight machine for small lawns
Flymo great for small areas. Easy to use as I am a pensioner. Only comment would be the cord is too short so had to use extension lead which some people may not have to hand!
Does the Job well.
A great lightweight grass mower that is easy to manipulate, easy to clean and folds into a small size for stowing.

So far so good
Flymo EasiGlide 300 Hover Collect Lawn Mower was fairly straightforward to assemble from the box. It copes pretty well (with a short extension lead) on nearly 100 sq m of lawn. Particularly good where the border is level paving; not so easy where it drops down.
Lawn mow
At last somewhere to stow the lead on garden equipment! With hooks to wind the lead around. Quite easy to assemble and use but a bit difficult to turn at each end of the garden – not a massive problem.
Reasonable mowe
Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre but doesn’t collect the grass as well as my old Flymo and is very noisy for a little machine
Nice big mowe
I like this mower. My old flymo packed in after 5 years of use. It was only a 330 blade. This one is 360 and you can tell the difference. If you’ve got a big garden I recommend this one.
Efficient machine with useful grass box
Replacement for a very old Flymo. This was very easy to assemble. the cable is rather short (compared with the old one) but apart from that it is easy to use, powerful, and cuts well. Having a grass collection box is a bonus after years of raking, although it make the mower more bulky to store.
A trusted brand with good reviews
There are cheaper brands out there but having used Flymo products for the last 30 years I know I will get a good quality and reliable product when I buy flymo. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it well.
How well it cuts the grass
This machine is a replacement for the pre-existing EasiGlide 360, now some eight years old. The new machine is very similar to the old but crucially, the cut is more even and it takes less time and less effort to cut the smallish piece of lawn at the front of our house. Alas, it is not much quieter than the old machine but that apart, I am happy with it.
Lawn mowe
I bought this lawn mover a few days ago, easy to put together and light to use…Very happy with this item do recommend
Highly recommended
Does exactly what it says it will do, excellent mowe
A bit of a task to put the handle and spacers together and have not yet figured out how to fold the handle into a compact size. Having said that we had had our last and same model for over 15 years before the motor burned out and we are delighted with the performance. Lightweight, easy to use floats like a dream giving a superb cut. We used the three spacer setting which got rid of both clover and moss, needless to say our lawn is not the best! Highly recommended.
Flymo Easiglide 360
Have had Flymo previously, so pleased with the product performance. However on this model the handle arrangement makes it difficult to carry from place to place. My previous model had a carry handle but this one doesn,t.

Good powerful lightweight hover mower.
1700 watt motor cuts through thick grass with ease and collects a lot of grass quickly so you have to empty it quite often.
Leaves a nice cut lawn when finished.
Difficult to fold dow
Easy to use and push around the grass. Not so easy to fold down the handle though as you have to push both sides of the handle in at the same time to get it to fold for storage. Pretty much impossible to do on your own and took 2 of us – one on each side – to finally fold it. Once you can get it to fold it packs away neatly.
Quick delivery
quick delivery, good quality, easy to use, great all round.
Excellent buy
Bought one of these for my daughter. We were so pleased we had another one for my other daughter. Really good. Lightweight quality mower.
Lightweight mowe
Lightweight lawnmower and cuts well, slightly scuffed upon arrival but not worth returning over. So far so good with cutting and it is light when pushing and can fold away saving space.
I’ve always had Flymo lawnmowers and this is as good as any of the previous ones. I also like that there is cord storage on the actual mower when not in use. My garden is small to medium size and this is perfect for it.
This is a replacement to our flymo 33 compaq which we’ve had forever with no problems but has now died.
The lead is now permanently fitted – preferred old detachable. Collection basket is no longer in a housing unit , it just slides in and out of the back. Easier for emptying, also makes it lighter but when you pick mower up on your arm to carry it back to shed the collection basket just falls out and you’ve also got to be mindful of the lead as it’s attached whereas I used to store in inside the collection basket. Ah, that’s progress for you. It does cut lovely and it’s faster as it has a bigger motor, wider blade and bigger collection basket than my previous and I think it’s excellent value for money would recommend.
It was same price as Argos but now a days cant find anything from Argos availability is so poor. But amazon delivered to my doorstep in few days after i purchased. Item is as described it was very easy to set up, lightweight. So far so good it is working well
Easiest lawnmower I have used
Does what it should do with ease and went together very very easily.
Easy to use!
Although only used once..the collection is not great..however it’s so easy to use! I’m not sure how I feel about this..I wanted a mower that collected all the grass!
Got this to replace the same model. They have changed the handle design it’s not as good as the old one. I don’t think it feels as good quality, time will tell I guess.
