Overall it’s ok,but the grass collection could be better.the collection spout needs to be nearer the ground as in earlier models of flymo so more grass is collected.it’s not good to leave cut grass on a lawn.scarify your lawn at the end of a season and then see what gets collected.easy to manoeuvre although the blades will dig in the lawn a bit if it’s uneven in places.

As I have a smaller garden now, and because my large old flymo was getting old, I decided to downsize to one of these. It is light and does a decent cut, but for some reason it is not as manouverable. It picks up the grass okay. The grass box needs emptying quite frequently. It is a pretty cheap mower and it does the job okay.

Tidy accessory to have.
The hover mac 250 came as new to me. I wasn’t disappointed as to it’s condition. Manual and warranty were available too. In such a transaction you at least expect to see cosmetic wear.
This was more or less untouched.
Assembly was easy. And the lawnmower runs impressively. Once again Amazon come up trumps for me.

Only used it once up to yet but seems to be OK and the grass box holds a fair bit the fact that it’s really lightweight makes it a lot better to carry around

Firstly I would like to say some of the reviews almost put me off! And I’m soo glad I did order! Who doesn’t get grass all over the place when using a mower that has a collector on only one side! I got this because I moved and needed something cheap for now to sort a jungle and my was I surprised!!! Nothing broke, nothing had to be changed or replaced! Still works perfect. VERY happy and very surprised!
Nice light mowe
Grass has been too wet so I haven’t used the mower yet. But it was easy to assemble, is very light and I’m sure that the little wheels/rollers will help with maneuverability. Metal blade, grass collection box – I’m looking forward to using it if it ever stops raining!

Good little mower but handle is short. I find I have back ache after using as bend slightly to push this around garden. Has a tendency to dig into grass when pulling back but apart from these little problems it works great. Ideal for smaller gardens.

I’m finding folding flat quite difficult, you have to push the handle sides in towards the mower at the base and need strength to do this.
Also finding that lid doesn’t stay clipped closed when hanging.

This is an excellent little mower. My mums lawn was a state but other than having to empty it every five seconds, as the box is tiny, it breezed it. (The grass was well overdue a cut). The second mow was a lot easier as was much shorter so although you do have to empty it quite often it’s not a hardship when it makes easy work of a terribly uneven law

Think mower has different grass level cuttings but I haven’t adjusted mine yet so have no idea how short this can cut.

Being a woman, I assembled it fine. I use it fine. But not good for long grass, that’s the downside. Cable needs to be longer. You need to make sure and clean it after use. But saying that it does the job OK.

Great little mower, ideal for my patch, easy to use, lightweight, only downside it blows the grass clippings around so you have to mow over them again to collect, no real problem. Happy customer.
This is great for small gardens, easy to assemble and use. One side of my lawn goes up to a fence and due to the rim it can’t cut anywhere near it.
I also bought the electric strimmer that wasn’t expensive but does the trick.
It is decent at picking up grass but has a very small basket so if you dont change it when full it will leave the cuttings on the ground.
Perfect for my needs, but if I had a much bigger garden I’d want to upsize

Good lawnmower. Light to use. Once bottom blade was fixed correctly it was much easier to manoeuvre and gave a close cut.
Great little compact mower. It got boring fast raking up the grass every time it was strimmed so I decided to give this mower a go.
I was a little hesitant about the reviews saying it left grass cuttings everywhere but it’s not that bad. The air intake that collects the grass is on the back right so you just have to adjust your mowing style to collect all the grass. Yes a little more effort but that’s why it’s priced that low. I agree with reviews saying that it struggles a little on uneven ground but of course you have to expect that from a hover mower.
It takes seconds to fold down the handle and stow the cable away so makes life easy when storing away. The grass collection basket is ok in size and for my small lawns I only have to empty it twice. Adjusting the height of the blade is done in a minute using the tool they provide you and gives a reasonable range in cutting height. I would definitely recommend giving the underside and front of the mower a good clean after every use as it does get blocked up quickly but expected for a small mower.
Assembly was very simple too with clear instructions and took maybe 5 minutes.
Fine for me
I have a small garden but do need a light duty mower to keep the grass tidy. This does the job well enough. It is a replacement for an older model of the same make that recently stopped working after a number of years of service. I am glad I had the older version still because it helped me understand how to assemble it as the instructions were not over clear.

I bought this Flymo for my Mum to replace an old Flymo that finally conked out after many years service.
She is a fit 89 year old who still loves to mow her own lawn and potter in the garden.
This Flymo is small enough and light enough for her to manage comfortably. The grass collection box is not overly big and needs frequent emptying but then that is a good time to have a brief sit down and a slurp of something cold and refreshing. She says it cuts effortlessly and efficiently hoovers up the cut grass. She’s happy with the purchase so I am!

This mower is perfect for our two small lawns, very easy to assemble although the instructions were quite confusing so found a video on YouTube which was very easy to follow.
Bought on behalf of my brother who id 81 years of age and found an ordinary mower to hard to push, so got this flymo and he is pleased with the purchase and finds it easy to use.
The destructions say “Cut grass twice per week” .
You dont need this unwanted additional exercise if, like me, you’re a lazy once a month (if it’s lucky) gardner.
If you’re not bothered, you can leave the grass collection box off to get finished and back to the pub sooner.

Me and mowers do not go well together. This is my third in 13 years. But, this time, I think I have a good one. It is noisy. Please wear ear protection. 93db according to manual. The instructions are picturegrams so for some will be hard to follow. However having had two mowers, it did not take much to work out. Using the mower was easy. It is a tad sluggish so moving it about is a bit tiring. The 15 litre grass box is easy to lift out. This was good, as on first cut I had to empty 7 times. Cleaning after mowing was easy. Do clean it after each use. Pay attention to the air vents. It folds down for neat easy storage. A good small mower with a grass box.

Easy to put together and get going, however if your grass is a bit too long then you may struggle to push this around your lawn. It does a good job at collecting the grass, you may need to empty it once or twice as you go just to keep the weight down. It’s also not that great at actually hovering, my previous 20 odd year old hover mower does it better but this is a budget mower so you get what you pay for. All in all, it’ll cut your grass well but you might have to put some effort in from time to time

I’ve got an awkwardly-shaped small lawn. This mower cuts the grass adequately. It collects a lot of the grass, but doesn’t leave stripes if that’s what you’re after. After one cut, the collection part was full of grass, so I know the grass was cut, although it didn’t look like that was happening at the time.
Outer box was badly damaged, so I don’t know if that happened in transit – and if so, how – or if the seller knew about it as it was their last mower of this type.
Although the lawn is small, I have to plug the mower into the garage so that uses up about half of the lead, so the lead isn’t long enough. I’ve had to use an extension cable.
The mower is quite light and sometimes jumps and rears backwards when it meets long grass.
I’m still glad I bought it though.

Downside: compact size means small grassbox and modest motor power.
This is my third Flymo.
It’s a Flymo. They are all the same, except this one has a grass bin atached. Still scatters grass over my pathway but it does catch some of the cut grass in the bin. Flymos are easy to manouver and very light. My last Flymo had a cutting edge of 33cm, this one has 25cm. I have only a small area of grass to keep tidy and I am leaving some of the grass to grow wild, so this Flymo is ideal.
I will just say, this Flymo was a used one from Amazon and I took the chance that it would be okay. When I was assembling it, it came together well. When I had used my new Flymo for ten minutes, the handle fell apart. I took some plastic bolts from my old Flymo and replaced the handle with these. Seems to be fine now.

Only thing I don’t like is the capacity of the grass collector bin. It is a little small but okay.
New lawn, new mowe
Seems to function well and easy to put together. I haven’t managed to do the whole lawn yet only a test patch given how wet the weather has been. Folds up neatly and fits in one of my gardening bags which is handy for the time being.
This certainly does the job and having a grass box makes life much easier, it holds a lot of grass as well, but the machine is quite big and a bit heavy for me, an older woman, and I find it hard to maneuver at times especially since my garden is on a slope. The handle came adrift at one side at the bottom, it was something small, where you push the plastic bolt through, so I fixed it with superglue, I’m sure I’ll get another couple of years out of it but if I buy another one it would have to be a lot lighter.

Otherwise great cheap mower, picks up 99% of grass, flower beds / path free of cuttings. I left mower on setting without spacers, perfect cut. Tip one inch paint brush to clean mower is a great help

The stopper that holds the handle on fell off and won’t go back on even tried to hammer it on no luck it’s useless now won’t buy it again.

Small but Mighty
After my last flymo gave up after 6 year’s, this seemed an ideal substitute. It was easy to put together with clear and straightforward instructions . Cuts the grass well but as small, needs to be emptied more often. Would definitely recommend

Just what I needed
Ordered this lawn mower after many hours looking at what was on offer, checking out what they said they could do and then how much they cost. This is the one that I settled on. It looked right for my smallish sized lawns, that are uneven, even wonky in places and dare I say rather neglected until now.
The mover it self is a good size, and having packed it up I noted that it doesn’t take up much space.
I used it for the first time today and it was a joy to use – mind you, I’ve been cutting my grass for years with a streamer (didn’t think I’d stay in this house long enough to need a lawn mower). I did note that the bucket does fill up rather quickly so I needed to keep an eye on that and empty it regularly. In summary, I found it a great new tool, something that cut the grass well and even sucks up the cuttings…bonus…

My first lawn mower for my first garden. Only have a small patch of grass so just wanted something small. This is a great little lawn mower and I’m very pleased I bought it! Light weight and easy to handle and use. Yes the first time I mowed the lawn grass did go a bit everywhere, however this is likely because I let the grass get far too long before buying a mower. I had to empty it half way through it was so long. But now since I’ve had it I’ve used it a couple of times, and now that I’m keeping on top of it and not letting grass grow too long the collect box attached has no problem collecting all the grass up in one go. So no mess at all now since first cut. Very happy!

I was very sceptical from reading the mixed reviews but it is very good!
1. Easy to put up husband did it on his own in five minutes.
2.Cut the grass quick and easy, we have a medium sized garden, took about an hour to cut.
3.Has a grass collecting box build to it which is very helpful to keep things not too messy, I didn’t need to buy any other tools this alone did the whole job.
4.light enough for a small framed woman like me to use, I needed a rest or two in between because of my back issue but not too bad at all, I need to rest with my Dyson V7 as well if that gives any indication(slightly heavier than a dyson vacuum but feels to me similar pull strength on the back)
5.power cord is slightly short for us but no big deal as we have some extension cords at hand.
6. Not too noisy, I personally find it pretty Low noise, again similar to a vacuum.
7. Didn’t leave the garden messy as I was worried about it. I did the job in my PJs without any protecting clothing and didn’t end up getting grass all over myself.
Overall this is exactly what I imagined when I ordered it, fuss free, easy to use, ticks every box and works as it should do. This is my very first time using a lawn mower and I’m glad I got this one. I am not an experienced gardener so don’t know if this would be good enough for someone has higher expectations than me, but if you are like me researching on lawn mowers because of Covid-19 and you don’t want to risk having people in your house. I would recommend this one.
Purchased this for a present for my sister, I already have one but larger and after putting this together, wish I had purchased this one earlier as mine is a little too big for my small grass area..this is nice and light, easy to operate and does a great job, the footpring for storage is ideal..mine will probably last for years, however, on the off chance that it does not, I will certainly buy this one for myself..nice product, nice price, nice to hanlde, what’s not to like about it, hence my 5 star review, and I don’t give these out lightly!
Bought this a few months back. Beware of this product, it makes such light work of the lawn that my girlfriend is asking me to do it more regular. My advice to anyone thinking of buying this product is that once purchased you need to make it look like hard work!

i have been using Flymos for over 30 years. This particular model is the smallest i have used and is perfect for small to medium gardens, The is due to the small cutting diameter and the collection box. I went for this model because it is very lightweight and very easy to manoeuvre around the garden. Like all Flymos they perform better if the grass is not too long. I would recommend.

Wanted a small mower for a grass pathway and this suits, its okay for that sort of area. I wouldn’t say it was fabulous but does the job okay. It is easy to empty the grass basket and to fit it back on. I would not recommend for an average sized lawn.

This model is a great size but the grass box is very small. With all the rain and sunshine lately, if I leave my lawn longer than 4 days, I have to keep emptying it too often for my liking.
This is great if you have a very small lawn but anything bigger than 5×7 metre lawn and you’ll want a bigger mower and grass box.

This is a very reasonably-priced hover-mower which is light and easy to use. The grass-collection isn’t as effective as my cylinder mower but it’s much lighter and more manoeuvrable.
