Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have decided to buy this Garmin because my apple watch was not apple to track my long bike rides.
I am very happy with the watch in general. However, it took me a while to get used to the lack of touchscreen.
PROS: I did a few scuba dives with it (-20m) and it worked fine.
Battery lasts a lot. I can track at least 10h worth of activity with no issues
    Contactless payments
Ant+ support – I can connect it to my power meter
    Supports lots of sports
    Sleep monitoring
    Charges fast

CONS: I also wanted to use the maps function to navigate on the rides but I found that difficult.
Garmin pay is limited to a few banks

Can’t really fault this watch as a whole. Great features and most fucntions are easy to use. There are some areas where better explanations on how to use the apps/widgets would really help…
Having had it for a few months now, the only real negative i have is that with hindsight i should have paid the extra money for the latest model as some new, key features aren’t available with this version.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI always had an Apple watch and I was reluctant to move to another brand. A friend using Garmin persuaded me to try. I bought it when it was on offer on Amazon and loved it ever since. It’s a great smart watch, a lot more accurate than the Apple watch and the battery last longer. I had to charge the AW every day just using it for one workout. Two start for battery life as it is advertised as lasting something like 8 days. I have to charge it every three/four days which is obviously a big difference to 8 days however it’s a bliss not having to charge it every single night!
It takes a while to get used to some of the functions but once you get the gist of it it’s really a great watch.

Since buying this watch it’s motivated me to do more exercise. After each exercise session the watch and the app gives you great feed back on the workout you’ve just done so you can improve on future workouts.
Would definitely recommend this watch at a great price as well.

Upgraded from my polar grit X to this I’ve always avoided Garmin favouring polar as I have years of running data. But I have to say I wish I’d moved over to Garmin earlier the battery life on the X is unreal compared to the polar grit X. For that alone it’s worth the upgrade. I love the map function I like how it can give you ordnance survey positions for hikes. It really is a good around watch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot the watch after a huge mix up of sending an empty box, however to my relief Amazon sent a replacement the next within a couple of days, the watch looked felt fantastic, but one thing let it down, there was no tocuh sceen, its all buttons, i researched the new one, thought save some money and buy last years model not knowing it wasn’t a touch screen, well i returned it and gone with the 7 solar sapphire, just not have to wait for the release date

By far the best battery life! The mobile app is neat, fluid, and easy to use. Integration between the workouts and Garmin Coach work perfectly! I come from the Apple Watch world… And I don’t regret it.

I’ve bought a number of trackers which disappointed for various reasons, either the battery was poor or the functionality was lacking.

This however does exactly what it says on the tin, accurate enough for a watch and the battery life is exemplary.

I was worried slightly that the buttons would be confusing, but its so easy to navigate and set up the important functions and cut away the bits that aren’t necessary to the user that its a breeze.

Also it looks stylish on the wrist with a host of accessories to personalise it to your own personal taste.

    Highly recommend this product Utg

Only downside is it’s a little bit chunky. But really that doesn’t bother me

This is a great watch for sports tracking and basic notifications from your phone. I’ve been an Apple Watch user for some years now but got fed up with charging it every night. This watch has a great battery life and I charge it every 2/3 weeks depending on my sports activity. If your not a Garmin user , You can also change the watch face to what suits you.
Excellent watch don’t have any complaints.

Had a few Garmin watches in the past vivomusic 3 and a couple of the cheaper models. This one blows them out the water. I found the issue with the cheaper models is you are charging every 2 days or so.
This lasts weeks. No downsides for me. But note this is a bulky watch.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve had a Garmin Forerunner 245 for just over a year and clocked up over 1,200 miles of running with it. As a motivational device it has been superb. I just wanted more of the same – bigger screen, full topographical mapping, longer battery life, deeper analytics, Strava segment integration – and I have not been disappointed. Keeps things fun on my long hours of marathon training – following an endless variety of courses using its superb navigation features. Sleep and heart rate monitoring is not perfectly accurate (particularly at higher levels) – just the limitation of optical sensor method of measurement. I wear the Garmin HRM-Run chest strap for workouts (which also gives you running metrics such as cadence, vertical oscillation, etc – so well worth the extra). Have found the GPS to be very accurate so far. Now the Fenix 7 is here, the price of the 6 is very tempting and given how much I have used the Forerunner I could justify the upgrade. The hardware is only half of the story though. The brilliance of Garmin is its class-leading integration of hardware with software: the Connect and Explore apps and website (where you can create new workouts, training plans and courses to navigate) are absolutely superb. Was concerned watch (at 90g, compared to 38.5g of the Forerunner) might be too big and heavy. It IS big – to accommodate its 1.4″ screen and this may be an issue for some but I don’t even notice it on and I don’t have the thickest wrist. If that’s a deal breaker there’s always the 6 Pro or 6s Pro. Just extremely grateful to Garmin for taking a casual runner and turning him into a running machine!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersImpressive is definitely an understatement. I probably will never use 80% of what it is loaded up with. Great finish. Sturdy and also fashionable. General health and fitness stats are brill. Heart rate tracking is neat. Maps are good but you need to kick off an activity to access them That’s probably my age, or simply lack of familiarity with the map function. Notifications come up nice and clear and easy to use. Not a cheap watch but you get a lot for what you pay. Its worth the money. The Fenex 7 apparently has a touch sensitive screen which simply makes navigating all of the features much easier.

I love this watch, moved from forerunner 935, and quality of fenix 6 pro os amazing comparing to my previous one. However I would by saphire version as my have already some scratches on screen ( I am very active and felt from bike couple of times). I think that screen and bezel should be easy to replace as now you have to ask garmin for assistance which cost almost 200

I decided to go for the genie 6 pro as opposed to the 7 initially was price, but am I glad I did. Simply put, I like information on the exercise, activity, rest and sleep. This watch gives me all that and more. Once I got my head round the buttons, which is easily manageable and less accident prone that a swipe watch, it is awesomely informative. Battery life is extraordinary, which you can easily extend switching off gps mode. The mobile app is just as informative with the data easily at hand.

I purchased the large 6pro and while only being of medium build I don’t find it overly bulky
I have had suunto fit bits but nothing comes close to this plus the battery life is brilliant
Even better I can plan a route on my phone and send it to my watch unlike suunto where your p/c was needed
Thank you Garmin for a wonderfully thought out and comprehensive produc

The Fenix 6x Pro is a great advanced tool for those who like to have the option to modify almost al settings.

Although the watch is big, it is not heavy to wear.

The the brightness of the screen is excellent and I like how easy it switch on when turning the wrist.

My first impression is that this watch offers much for the price but it is less suitable for those who like to have a simple menu and usage.

    Great advanced training tool

Got this directly from Amazon (sold and dispatched from them) after my Fenix 3HR started to be plugged in for several hours to charge (still keeping the 3HR as a backup device and occasional use).

The 6X pro It is a major upgrade from the Fenix 3HR. Although I am not using music when I run it has too many additional features and metrics which are useful. However, besides all of these features the 3 most important for me which I am impressed about are:

    1. Amazing battery life (even compared with when my 3HR was new). In my last marathon (4hrs 13minutes) and with additional usage before and after the marathon it only went down 11% from 100% to 89%.

    2. I do not need to switch on the light permanently any more. The 6X Pro supports gestures during a run/walk meaning when you lift your arm to look at the watch the light automatically switches on for 8 seconds). This is very convenient and also conserves extra battery. The feature is auto-enabled after sunset so the light will not switch on before that..

    3. The fonts on the watch and during the runs (I keep 4 metrics in my main first screen, current page, average pace, time and lap pace) are so much larger that are easier to see. If you struggle with reading the metrics during your workout this is a major advantage.

As aforementioned, there are so many other features (I have not looked at all of them yet, including maps) but even for just the above 3 reasons this was a major MUST HAVE worth upgrade.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFirst of all: if you are a woman with a fairly slim wrist do not be tempted with features of fenix or fenix X. S version is there for a reason. So fenix S is the cheapest in the family but exactly what I need. I do not need music on my watch because I do not listen to anything for intensive workouts and I take my mobile with me anyway for slow runs (safety!). I am not missing maps feature either – for the same reason. My fenix S is an upgrade to Vivoactive 3 and it is the best decision I made. Apart from some physiological features you get on your app and more variety on training etc there are 2 most important ones: GPS accuracy is far superior to my old watch – some training runs were just impossible with the old watch when you have to vary your pace intervals. And battery life is awesome. There is no need to switch off heart rate or enhanced GPS to prolong it. If I use GPS for 5-6 h a week (plus some non-GPS like swim) and 24/7 heart rate I still need to charge it every fortnight (without draining battery down to red level).

Wanted a decent smartwatch that I could also use for golf – this fits the bill! Great battery life that lasts for at least a week and includes 3 rounds of golf gps. Too many apps to list, but sleep monitoring, body charge, pulse ox and distance covered when out hiking seem to be pretty accurate. Great choice of front screen faces that are easy to read and it looks good on the wrist.

This is my 2nd Garmin Fenix, previously had the 5. The 6x pro has come on so well, it beats my previous Apple Watch series 6 hands down!
This is so much more robust, the battery life is 50x longer than my Apple Watch which I was charging daily, this will easily last 5 days with all the sensors on, longer if some are disabled. Previously these didn’t support iPhone notifications in the UK or with Apple products, however I now receive all txt notifications even my ring doorbell. I haven’t utilised the full capabilities of this Watch yet, but know it certainly will not disappoint. Worth checking YouTube reviews on this too, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this watch to anyone. There are variations too. 6s – smaller size, 6- normal & 6x largest screen size.
Then you have sapphire or gorilla glass, sapphire obviously more stronger, however I have had no issues with my gorilla glass one. Yes, I have knocked the watch a few times, walls, doors etc, but the marks just rub off!!
A very sturdy watch that has a full 10/10 from me!

    Awesome watch

For what I need it for, getting out on the hills by foot, MTB, and general fitness, this is brilliant. The only fault I have is that it sometimes loses heart rate. This is probably because of my tattoos, however, I haven’t had this with my instinct tactical or forerunner watches previously. This isn’t anything to stop enjoying the watch though as I use an external HRM.
It’s an amazing watch plus I got a good deal. Good battery and easy to navigate. Get one.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is my first Garmin watch – my previous fitness/smart watch experience was limited to only FitBit Versa for a few years, and a brief purchase of a Fossil Skagen Falster 3 that I loved but had to go back because the battery wouldn’t last a day.

My initial impressions: the Fenix 6 Pro is chunky, and sits taller than a fitbit – initially I was wary, but it sits very comfortably and looks well – it just took a few days to get used to it. Now I would find it weird to go back. Likewise physical buttons were a change from touch screen – but these work in all weather, rain, or with running or cycling gloves on – they just work. The lack of touch screen means a clear always-on display, with a light button for use at night. If you are running, holding it to view it will auto light it for you.

There are so many options and features on this watch that initially it seems too much – likewise the many options for data fields when running etc. But you just search for what you need up front, then over time keep learning and customising it, and it can give you whatever views and data you want.

The tracking on exercise is superb, with good recommendations, and planning for rest times or variations. Likewise HR monitoring, sleep tracking, stress, and the Garmin “body battery” concept.

Battery life is incredible. If I just used it as a watch, I could get 12 days+ off a charge, although it’s more like a week with a few long runs/cycles, and I also sync podcasts to it and play straight from my watch while I run. I can leave my phone if needs be without issue.

The always-on screen works, and while I did not opt for a top line model with Sapphire screen shielding, the regular one has taken knocks without any visible marking. While locking my bike, I dragged the glass hard along a sharp metal edge on the fork of the bike, and thought I had ****ed it, but there;s only a very faint ghost line that I have to tilt and look for to see it. The glass is very scratch resistant.

It’s not a cheap watch – I bought mine on Black Friday – but it’s really impressed me and a yea ron I’m still very happy with it. Rock solid construction, best in class battery with an always on screen, a wide range of different fitness tracking options with far more depth than casual trackers like Fitbit. I highly recommend it for someone looking to take their fitness tracking to the next level.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is my everday watch and was an upgrade from my Fenix 3 which I owned since 2016 and which has served me well through hundreds of activities of many types and millions of steps. The Fenix 6 Pro is around the same size as my old 3 but feels slimmer and lighter on the wrist which I appreciate as I wear it 24/7 and the older one sometimes was a little uncomfortable at night when sleeping. The 6 Pro is I believe a shade lighter but oddly feels much lighter, maybe due to case shape?.

The device itself is amazing, battery life is around a couple of weeks and you have the ability to tailor your battery mode to requirements i.e turn off various battery hungry features for example to extend life if needed. In contrast my older Apple watch needed charging every day!

Activity tracking is as good as ever with the 6 Pro, running and swimming are my main interests, I use a different device for cycling. Step counting on my older 3 was a little erratic it wouldn’t for example always record steps if you were pushing a bike but would record steps occasionally when changing gear in the car. The 6 by contrast seems to be able to overcome these issues and “seems” more accurate.

The display is bright and clear, at first I was not sure about the new interface however after a few days I have come to love it. Watch faces can be installed as per other Garmin devices so you can have the face you want with the features you want. The device connects to your phone so you can get notifications, you can even apparently setup Garmin Pay should you want to make small purchases with it, not actually something I need.

I haven’t used the navigation feature yet either but have looked at the maps and like the ability to view popularity overlays. I don’t play music on it but understand you can use Spotify or another music provider to save carrying a portable player although expect this would drain your battery quicker. The device has Wifi so you can upload your music easily.

Overall I’m really pleased with my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro and would recommend it to anyone who wants a watch that encompasses pretty much everything, is highly customiseable and with a battery that last a week or two between charges.

This on paper is a really nice fitness watch with over a week’s battery. My only let down is the screen. Coming from a galaxy smartwatch I’m to used to a vibrant screen.

Long dreamed of replacing the sports watch with a newer model! Provided a convenient occasion to do this! My expectations fully fulfilled! Mini computer on the wrist of the hand! Super gift!

For the fitness guru this watch has everything thats needed to monitor your activities and deliver data that counts. 14 days of battery life and with sleep tracking it is more than useful…. Absolutely love it!

I have skinny wrists, was worried this watch may be too big. Its not. I upgraded from a Vivoactive 3 music and the bigger screen is so much better. Watch is significantly heavier, but I soon got used to it.
The only gripe I have is that when paired with my Jabra Elite 65t headphones the audio can cut out when I wear the watch on my left wrist while running, (it’s fine on the right wrist). The right bud is the master, maybe it’s too far/obstructed from the watch. Otherwise, brilliant.

I switched to this smart watch from a rival brand, and it blows the competition out of the water. The battery life is better than claimed, it is customisable and the fitness and health tracking work brilliantly. I use this mainly to broadcast my heart rate while cycling and I would definitely recommend this watch.

Solid watch. Does everything I need and more. Used mostly for cycling with the odd run, gym session thrown in. Had a polar V2 before this and they are night and day different.

The only draw back I would say is I use the watch fully (HR,steps oxy etc etc) and train around 1 or 2 hours a day so battery life is around 4 days.

HR tracking as with all watches is a bit iffy but I have always used heart straps. I would say on average about 5 or 10 BPM difference

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this during prime week, so was at a really nice low price.

I can’t complain at all about the quality of this watch. It is used mainly for tracking long runs and sleep tracking.

1 – The sleep tracking seems pretty decent. Obviously this is going to be subjective to the code in the software for the tracker. As it will give you different results compared to other brands sleep trackers. But the app seems pretty spot on to be honest. Everyday I’m told I have a great sleep I can honestly say it feels like I have. The same can be said when it tells me my sleep was off or not good at all.

2 – The battery life is great, after a full charge it states it is good for 8 days. And based on my usage I can say this is an acurate time frame. There is nothing worse that having to always chage a smart watch, but this device seems to last a lot longer that any I’ve had in the past. I would say it is a little on the slow side to charge. But seeing as I have to do it less than my past watches, I can’t really complain too much about that.

3 – At the Prime price I got this for this watch was a steal. It was great value for money to be honest. If I have to pay the price it is showing now, having not seem the Prime price, I think I would still be happy with my purchase.

4 – The garmin app is great, full of useful features and you can spend a lon time going through all the stats the watch collates from your day. It is regularly being updated as well, with new features and tweaks being added. So far I’ve not been disappointed with the app at all.

    Highly recommended.

The watch itself is really good with the only minor downside being that it’s quite chunky and relatively heavy. Comes with decent detailed maps loaded which makes navigation super easy. The battery life is amazing with lots of options to extend it if you’ll be going for over 2 days.

Marked down as it’s very expensive and the app is a little over complicated.

  69. TammySuggs says:

Only criticism is that the HRM when exercising gets confused and tracks cadence rather than HR. Every other feature is awesome, particularly love uploading a route when I’m in new territory and following the turn by turn navigation.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my first every smart watch/health/activity tracker. I’m glad I spent a little more than I had planned for this watch.

For some time now my wife has had a Fitbit but I couldn’t find something which had all the functions I wanted in their offerings.

Initially I was going to go for the Garmin Forerunner 745 as I had read and watched decent reviews about the watch, that it wasn’t as good as the fenix 6 or Forerunner 945 but was a decent smart/health/activity tracking watch.

Went with this because it was over 200 cheaper than on the Garmin site, so far I’ve been very impressed, it’s really helped me keep track of my fitness and activities, the only slight issue I have is that although it gives a good break down of your sleep pattern, having reviewed my data against my wife’s Fitbit, hers was more representative of her sleep.

However that function is an added bonus to me so I’m not too bothered and truth be told if your main concern is sleep tracking then you can probably find something with the same/better results at a lower price point.

As for build quality I can’t fault it, isn’t too heavy for me, but feels reliably robust. There is a nice tactile feel to using the buttons and unlike touch screens I haven’t accidentally pressed them like I do with other devices.

Also there is a lot of articles and videos on how to get the most out of this watch.

Fenix 6 pro. Well. Do the job. But I can’t believe that watch for more than 400 can’t properly count steps
I’m a driver and driving all day I can make 10000 steps only changing the gear ridiculous. My previous Apple Watch was far better and more accurate.
But if go in to sport function. Very good nice hiking function with maps, good running programs works very well with hrm run strap.
Overall it’s a very good watch and need some software updates to sort the step step counting

So I’ve only had this thing for a couple of days so can’t really comment on battery life yet, I like it it’s a really nice watch but it’s so basic the settings are non existent, it does not register heart rate at all!! And the display is absolutely terrible it does not look good and honestly I’m kinda regretting buying this. Was with my friend today who has venu 2 and that looks amazing compared to this

I’ve had polar sports watches for 25 years, based on the reviews I thought I’d try a garmin this time and it’s excellent. Nice big screen so it’s very clear, fairly intuitive, easy to hook up to my existing polar heart-rate and bike sensors.

My previous Samsung s3 compering to fenix is useless rubbish.
Fenix doesn’t pretend to be sport watch, it is sport watch.
One example: Samsung battery with GPS on lasted 90 minutes- pure joke.
    Fenix 60 hours.
Generally it beats Samsung gear on every field.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is such a brilliant buy – not cheap but you really do get what you pay for. I love being a bit of a teckkie, but love still not explored all its potential. Fantastic battery, sleep functions, health monitoring, . . it’s got it all. DO much better than my last watch by another leading maker. Just wish it was touch sensitive, but I can see why that would be a problem.

I love this watch. Discovering new functions with it. It’s easy to use and set up. I bought a hrm strap as the wrist was out as most devices are. I also bought some screen protectors.
It’s noticeable how heavy it is at first but after a few days it’s normal.
I like how you can have a route devised on the watch via the Maps option. Great when not used to an area.

OK so I bought this as a replacement for a vivioactive3 and a ganrmin edge 810 cycling computer.
The battery life of the vivioactive wasn’t good enough for rides over 4 hours.
Compared to the previous the fenix 6 lasts 5 days with 2-3 3+hr GPS activities easily. The accuracy seems reasonable and the metrics are good.
In short this is everything I’ve ever wanted from a GPS watch.

Genuinely the best sports tracker I've used.

If I were to buy again, I’d get the sapphire crystal face. No issue with this but for the extra cash … I think I should’ve.

Due to movement on the wrist, for totally accurate HR data without any intermittance, get a telemetry strap (chest worn HR strap).

In all other ways this is great and does WAY more than I expected. The software is really good and I’ve found seamless interface with stuff like my indoor trainer, and other apps I’ve tried.

It’s a lot of money (for most) but totally see the benefit. It’s not just a funky smart watch, it’s a heavily customisable sport tool

Also great for tracking my workouts at the gym, as well as general fitness and sleep patterns. Looks great as well. Got the standard pro model and doesn’t look too big or feel heavy. Brought this for fitness mainly I got to say it’s almost perfect I can’t fault the navigation system or the customisation you can do my only gripe is the HR tracking and sleep tracking are poor sometimes it doesn’t track sleep and the HR monitor doesn’t track it’s very inconsistent other than that it’s a quality product rich in many features you can’t go wrong battery life is excelle

I absolutely love this watch. I’d wanted a fitness watch for a while but they all seemed “huge” on my slim wrists and that put me off. This one, whilst still being relatively large, is perfect for me. I also wanted something which was easy and uncomplicated to use. This ticks all those boxes. I’m not technologically minded at all, so didn’t want anything I couldn’t easily understand or navigate my way around. This watch is just perfect. I wouldn’t be without it now.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had this watch for approx 1 month, prior to this i had a FORRUNNER 235. I wanted something that could do proper Navigation Amazon had a great Prime Day deal for this so I took the plunge. I have not regretted it. I’m training for the Manchester Marathon and now as my runs are getting longer the Navigation system is perfect for telling me where to turn and displaying a countdown to the next turn ( I use MAPMYRUN to create my route, download the GPX file, them upload to the watch) another great feature I thought I would not use but love is Garmin Pay, It’s great being out on a run and you need a drink or a cheeky Ice Cream 🙂 you don’t need your card or phone the watch can pay for it. I sleep, shower do everything with the watch and have had no issues.
