I think this is a great product, I’m not fussed about the instructions printed on the cup but I love the fact that it has fill lines, makes porridge so much faster to make and it microwaves evenly due to it in a cup rather than a flat bowl. Also no more burning my hands on a 500 degree bowl as I try to take it out of the microwav!
Purchased these porridge breakfast pots and am quite pleased with them. However they are a bit on the expensive side.
I was given one of these as a present a couple of years ago and found it so useful that when it got broken I had to have a replacement. Clear markings on the inside for measuring porridge and liquid, then into the microwave for 2 x one minute, stirring halfway, and perfect porridge!
We first bought some from Lakeland, years ago, and have found them very useful.
The measuring lines inside the cup are an accurate guide. Just make sure you use cheaper, smaller oat flakes if you want smooth porridge. Larger, ‘posh’ oats don’t absorb the milk as well. It may be okay if soaked overnight but for a quick bowl of porridge, cheap oats and these cups are excellent.
Really good porridge mug. I love mine and this was a gift. Just don’t over fill or there is a danger of boiling over. Find the middle mark works well in the microwave. I then add more milk after cooking.

The first Porridge Mug I received was faulty (the interior level markings were damaged). This was sorted out very quickly with a couple of emails with the seller and a replacement shipped to me very quickly. Would definitely buy from the seller again.
Love this mug – it makes great porridge and washes up easily (often the problem with porridge). The portion sizes are useful, the small being ample and the large serving is only for really hungry people!!

Accidenty knocked husband’s porridge mug off counter, smashed. ordered similar next day delivery. Unfortunately he was in when delivered so I had to confess to breaking original mug. He admitted he would not have realised it was a replacement. Also needy half the price of the original’ Lakeland one.

*update I have now bought four of these. We all love them so much. The handle is the best bit for me, instead of holding a hot bowl from the microwave. Dishwasher has been washing them every morning without a problem. Very happy.

Had this for pressy 2 years ago and chipped it . I had used it everyday for breakfast for work then morning coffee when I retired as it fitted under my nespresso machine ( double lungo cappuccino) Had to replace it pronto!
Save a lot of measuring milk and/or water and easy to eat out of.
This porridge mug is attractive in appearance and fine for the smaller quantity but do note that the measurements given produce extremely thick porridge (wet cement consistency) so don’t try the larger quantity unless that’s what you like.
Also, it is quite heavy when full and also gets hot so would be more practical in a lighter material eg microwaveable melamine/plastic?, maybe double-skinned so it remained cool to touch; doesn’t seem to be anything like that on the market.
Accidentally broke my gf’s mugs and needed a quick replacement. These mugs are great. They’re large, excellent present and do what they say on the tin.

Die Tasse gefllt mir optisch sehr gut. Aussen aufgedruckt ist eine “Bedienungsanleitung”, sprich wie bereite ich mir mein Porridge zu. Innen sind 2 Skalen fr eine kleine oder grosse Portion Porridge abgebildet, jeweils mit der Fllmenge an Haferflocken (Oates) und der entsprechenden Menge Flssigkeit.

The large handle is a good idea and adds alot to the mug’s pleasing looks, which is based on a cappuccino mug.
The only downside (but NOT a dealbreaker) is that the mug is heavy when full after using the Big measurements, and rather awkward to hold as I have small hands (glove size Small) but this is probably because I keep hold of it and don’t put it down to eat from. I ask the manufacturer Ginger Fox, for any future similar mugs, not to put white print on a light turquoise background as it’s hard to read.

Diese Schale ist nicht nur witzig gemacht, sondern aus stabilem Material, das lange warmhlt und bei dem man sich nicht die Finger verbrenbt.
Ich kann sie nur jedem Porridgeesser empfehlen, aber auch fr das morgendliche Msli ist sie prima.

This is one of the better purchases I have made from Lakeland. The mug is better made than what I thought it was going to be, (i.e. cheap/gimmicky). I am hoping it will encourage and make it easier for me to have more porridge for breakfast, as I hate washing up and can’t cook to save my life!

After updating my crockery I realised the bowl I now used for my morning porridge was too shallow and it boiled over in the microwave. This seemed like a suitable alternative so I decided to treat myself – and I’m so glad I did! I now have perfect porridge every morning!
I use the small measurements and get everything ready the night before. I have found that, for my ideal consistency, I pat the oats down – that way I get lovely thick porridge. I’m an oats, water and salt girl, by the way, so don’t use milk, and I’ve found two and a half minutes just right for my microwave.

The mug has a second set of markers for a large serving and I tend to microwave that for 3 minutes. Must admit that I rarely however make the large helping as the smaller is more than adequate…and I like my food! It doesn’t boil over and the mug has an excellent finish and is easy to hold. Dishwasher proof as well. Really can’t find any negatives, in fact we liked it so much we bought more so the whole family could have one at breakfast ( or any other) time.
Recommended without hesitation.

i favour a tad more oats than the big line says or a smidgeon less milk for perfect porridge but its better than guessing.
I use the most basic (and healthiest) plain oats, around 75p a bag from Aldi for a super quick healthy filling fuss free breakfast. Highly recommended
