I was glad to find this on Amazon as I bought my first one from Lakeland but they have stopped selling them. I love this porridge bowl as it is so easy to get the porridge to milk ratio right. Pop it in the microwave and job done – eat from the bowl.

Got to replace another which I broke. Dishwasher safe, never faded. Makes good porridge as directed. I tend to add a little more milk for large or small portion but that’s just taste. Small portion is a decent breakfast, large could be a third smaller and still be enough for me (and I am greedy). Large is enough for two really. Faster than weighing out into a normal bowl and the handle is convenient. Maybe a little bit expensive for a bowl but nice useful object that serves its portion well. The handle means I can still eat my breakfast and chase the kids out to school so efficient. Also handy if bears show up.

Nachdem ich Porridge fr mich entdeckt habe, bin ich auf diese Tasse gestoen. Sie sieht echt hbsch aus, und die Markierungen auf der Innenseite fr groe und kleine Portionen sind mega praktisch. Gerade beim Abmessen der Flssigkeit kann man sich schnell verschtzen. Wrde ich wieder kaufen!

Accidenty knocked husband’s porridge mug off counter, smashed. ordered similar next day delivery. Unfortunately he was in when delivered so I had to confess to breaking original mug. He admitted he would not have realised it was a replacement. Also needy half the price of the original’ Lakeland one.

Had this for pressy 2 years ago and chipped it . I had used it everyday for breakfast for work then morning coffee when I retired as it fitted under my nespresso machine ( double lungo cappuccino) Had to replace it pronto!

This porridge mug is attractive in appearance and fine for the smaller quantity but do note that the measurements given produce extremely thick porridge (wet cement consistency) so don’t try the larger quantity unless that’s what you like.
Also, it is quite heavy when full and also gets hot so would be more practical in a lighter material eg microwaveable melamine/plastic?, maybe double-skinned so it remained cool to touch; doesn’t seem to be anything like that on the market.

Love this mug. I makes making my porridge in the morning so easy. It also has suggestions on how to vary it too.
Very pretty mug. Microwaves without the handle getting hot which is what I wanted. Previous bowl did the job but got to hot to handle without a teacloth to hold it. A bit smaller than thought it would be so if you fill to a large portion you could have the porridge boiling over. However I just use the small 2 min microwave packs so it is fine for me. I also find the fill markers inside the mug a big help. I always struggled with adding the milk without using a measuring jug. Now I just fill to the line for small portion and just add a bit of extra milk when it is done if needed.

Die Tasse gefllt mir optisch sehr gut. Aussen aufgedruckt ist eine “Bedienungsanleitung”, sprich wie bereite ich mir mein Porridge zu. Innen sind 2 Skalen fr eine kleine oder grosse Portion Porridge abgebildet, jeweils mit der Fllmenge an Haferflocken (Oates) und der entsprechenden Menge Flssigkeit.

Seit ich mich dem Porridgefrhstck verschrieben habe, war ich auf der Suche nach einer perfekten Schale, die mir das lstige Abmessen erspart, in der Mikrowelle benutzt werden kann und gleich zum direkten Essen taugt. Plastik geht dabei garnicht!
Diese Schale ist nicht nur witzig gemacht, sondern aus stabilem Material, das lange warmhlt und bei dem man sich nicht die Finger verbrenbt.
Ich kann sie nur jedem Porridgeesser empfehlen, aber auch fr das morgendliche Msli ist sie prima.

Superbly adaptable
Great for porridge. As an additional bonus we discovered that it is also great for a wide range of foodstuffs that you can eat in a bowl. Warning!! it is a bit too shallow for goldfish

Healthy breakfas
This is one of the better purchases I have made from Lakeland. The mug is better made than what I thought it was going to be, (i.e. cheap/gimmicky). I am hoping it will encourage and make it easier for me to have more porridge for breakfast, as I hate washing up and can’t cook to save my life!

After updating my crockery I realised the bowl I now used for my morning porridge was too shallow and it boiled over in the microwave. This seemed like a suitable alternative so I decided to treat myself – and I’m so glad I did! I now have perfect porridge every morning!
I use the small measurements and get everything ready the night before. I have found that, for my ideal consistency, I pat the oats down – that way I get lovely thick porridge. I’m an oats, water and salt girl, by the way, so don’t use milk, and I’ve found two and a half minutes just right for my microwave.
I can really recommend this, a pleasure to use.
This item is crazily priced but actually really does work and its nice to bridge the gap between the kind of porridge you want and what you get if you just ‘wing it’ and stick it in the microwave.. this mug really helps with the consistency and looks nice too. A necessary indulgence!

Then next morning it is simple to just microwave and you have lovely creamy porridge to add fruit etc to as you like. On a couple of occasions I have made it from scratch in the morning and did find the porridge came up over the bowl when cooking so thats the reason I leave it to soak overnight first. Perfect start to the day when you are in a rush and need a healthy satisfying breakfast !

Brilliant for our porridge should have had one ages ago
So you like porridge and need to rustle up a bowl quickly? Forget those rather expensive and sugar laden sachets, buy this and a box of porridge oats. It really takes a matter of seconds to fill the bowl to the ‘oats’ marker on the inside and then top up with milk to the second ‘milk’ marker. Two minutes in the microwave, quick stir and hey presto. A lovely bowl of porridge. I’ve taken to mixing in a few frozen blueberries as well, delicious!
The mug has a second set of markers for a large serving and I tend to microwave that for 3 minutes. Must admit that I rarely however make the large helping as the smaller is more than adequate…and I like my food! It doesn’t boil over and the mug has an excellent finish and is easy to hold. Dishwasher proof as well. Really can’t find any negatives, in fact we liked it so much we bought more so the whole family could have one at breakfast ( or any other) time.
Recommended without hesitation.

I use the most basic (and healthiest) plain oats, around 75p a bag from Aldi for a super quick healthy filling fuss free breakfast. Highly recommended
like previous reviewer I was sceptical as to whether these measurements work – but they do! – just remember not to use hot water from the kettle or you will end up with porridge spewing over the top of the mug (how do I know this?****)
As a born and bred Scot I love my porage. This mug makes it so much easier to make and I defy anyone to notice a differences between this and the traditional method. I must confess I had my doubts – but am now a convert. Being a widower and cooking for one I find I have no waste since I can have a large bowl or a small bowl of porage in the morning
