I just had a nice 2 post lift installed and mounted this reel high up on the post so the end of the hose is just at a comfortable reach, this is adjustable. I chose Goodyear because a have several Goodyear hoses that are at least 25 years old and they are still as good as new.

Easy to remove the bracket... but this thing smells!!
I read some reviews where people complained they couldn’t remove the bracket. Well, it’s super simple, so you can disregard their reviews. There’s a small plastic hinge pin that you can remove by unscrewing the screw right below it. Super simple… right?
The return spring is rather firm and you need to listen for the clicks to know when it’s ok to release the hose at your desired location. Hard to hear over other noises like the sound of the compressor. Otherwise it comes with 2 large mounting lag bolts, connections and Teflon tape.
Ewww what is that smell?! There’s an odd plastic/rubber smell but… it also smells fishy. Hoping that smell goes away soon. Dropped a star for this reason
For the discounted price of $89 it was a no brainer. It’s well built and looks cool. Highly recommend

The only issue is one of the fittings had the wrong threads. A plug with male threads to fit on a hose with male threads. This was an easy fix, as I had a spare female threaded fitting handy.

This air hose reel was a little more money than most reels, but its well made and the hose retraction is good. It was a little cumbersome to install by myself because the bracket isn’t removeable. It came with everything I needed to install it. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Works Great! Lightweight, but Expensive!
I’m typically not fond of GoodYear products due to their affiliations; however, I decided to give this product a try since it was much lighter and less bulky than competitors.
The reel is very nice and hangs easily from the ceiling. I am comfortable with it hanging from the ceiling since the weight is only about 15 pounds, whereas some competitors are double that weight. The reel mechanism works well and I have yet to experience a time where it wouldn’t reel in all the way. I haven’t experienced any leaks either, and the hose seems to be good quality.
I’m typically not a fan of plastic, but in this case, I like the fact that this is plastic since it is stationary and lightweight. I’m hoping the internal components are made of metals that may withstand heavy use.
Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. It is a bit expensive considering it is all plastic, but if it holds up and lasts, I won’t have any complaints!
Note: The hose is a bit oily and produces an interesting smell. I’m hoping that over time this will wear off, but it’s nothing worth returning it over!

Il prodotto ottimo e funzionale. Sto apprezzando in particolare la flessibilit del tubo in gomma morbida e la tenuta del rotolante. Avrei dato 5 stelle se nella confezione avessi trovato anche 2 attacchi rapidi, visto che il filetto di 3/8 per cui non facile trovare gli attacchi corretti e mi sono dovuto arrangiare con dei niples. Suggerirei al produttore o al commerciante di inserirli nella confezione: avrei pagato volentieri anche 10 euro in pi per evitarmi il disagio…

Top Produkt zum guten Preis. Preisleitung ist sehr gut.
Habe einen Schlauchroller gesucht, der auch bei tiefen temperaturen flexibel und weich ist. PVC kann man schon bei Kellertemeraturen vergessen.. Habe diesen Schlauchroller im Blitz-Angebot gekauft und dank bester Verpackung und schneller Lieferung konnte ich nach 2 Tagen das Paket auspacken. Zubehr.. 2 Gewindeschrauben und Sprengringe… Mehr nicht. Kein Nippel, keine Kupplung, kein Teflon band. Das wei man aber vorher und der Hersteller kann auch nicht alles beilegen, kennt dieser ja den Einsatzzweck nicht. Der Schlauchroller passte grad so ins Gefrierfach und hat dort Stunden verbracht um bei tiefkalten Temperaturen seine Funktion zu zeigen .. Der Hybrid Polymer Schlauch ist bestens flexibel!! Ziel erreicht. Top! Montage ist keine groe Herausforderung und die Aufrollmechanik funktioniert bis zum Schlu, auch bei -20C :o). Eine Bohrschablone mit Bauraumbedarf knnte Goodyear noch auf den Karton drucken.. das wre noch besser.. Hazet macht das so..
Der Schlauchaufroller von Goodyear hngt bei mir nun im Keller und ist lang genug fr die gesamte Etage. Fr die Garage habe ich bei KS-Tools eine baugleiche Variante mit 1/2″ Schlauch gefunden.. kostet mehr und ist gleich gut flexibel. Hat aber den noch dickeren Schlauch mit 15m verbaut. DIESEN Unterschied merkt man am Schlagschrauber nach 30m Zuleitung dann doch deutlich. Hab nun also 2 Schlauchroller und BEIDE sind sehr gut.. Blau und Rot.. Wenn Goodyear eine 1/2″ Variante htte, htte ich diese auch gekauft .. Blau ist einfach schner :O) Die Vergleiche sind bewusst geschrieben, damit jeder wei, wo dieses Gert im Wettbewerb steht.. auch Goodyear .. Gre

Prodotto professionale, vale ogni euro che costa, il tubo e gli attacchi sono di altissima qualit. Pu essere usato sia con aria sia con acqua se si ha la necessit. Spedizione veloce ed imballaggio ok. Non perdete tempo a cercare qualcosa di pi economico, se e’ un prodotto che usate tutti i giorni come me. Nei prodotti pi economici si rovina il meccanismo che permette il riavvolgimento del tubo e se passate per sbaglio sopra il tubo con una moto o con una macchina sono dolori. Non dico che questo non si rompa ma sembra molto resistente. Prodotto eccellente.

Hose is the correct amount of flexibility. Not to rigid yet not so flexible that it will kink easily. I will be using this in my garage and not in an environment where it my see lots of abuse. Since I will be the sole person using it, and since I will be taking care of it, I expect it to last for a long time. The lead-in hose is not very long so you will need to adapt to what ever length you may need by adding to it. I added an additional length of Goodyear hose using a stainless 3/8″ coupling. I hung it on the wall, in studs, about 6 feet high. It only comes with 2 bolts/nuts/lock-washers. If you want to mount to wall studs then you will need to get the appropriate hardware for that.

Hatte lange gesucht und mich dann fr diese Trommel entschieden. Die selbe Ausfhrung gibts anscheinend unter mehreren Markennamen (ich habe die Gleiche ebenfalls bei Berner gesehen, was kein schlechtes Zeichen ist). Ist natrlich wie alle aus China. Aber der Schlauchdurchmesser ist 3/8″ und nicht 1/4″, was der Leistung von Schlagschrauber und Co. zutrglich ist. Der Auszugsmechanismus ist sehr ordentlich und scheint stabil zu sein – kompletter Auszug des Schlauchs ist mglich ohne dass man mhsam manuell zurckdrehen muss (ist also Deppensicher und damit richtig fr mich 🙂 ). Das Gehuse ist aus stabilem Plastik und der Halter aus Stahlblech. Der Schlauch ist keine billige Ausfhrung und scheint ebenfalls stabil. Alles recht ordentlich verarbeitet. Bitte beachten es sind keine Anschlussstcke im Lieferumfang enthalten – also separat bestellen und Teflondichtband nicht vergessen. Kann ich ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
Il tubo molto morbido.il che’ mi piace..si pu bloccare il tubo alla misura desiderata fino alla fine per ogni metro che viene estratto. La carcassa di buona qualit.. unica pecca, quando si estrae il tubo dai 13 ai 15 metri risulta difficile il bloccaggio. Solo per questo non do’ 5 stelle. Comunque qualit prezzo ottimo

First I have to say that I do not normally write reviews for products but after receiving and using this product I had to give my honest review. I decided to buy this hose reel because Goodyear Tyres is popular here in the UK, having a good reputation for quality and the price was good compared to other brands that I thought were a bit dear. Upon analysing the reel once received I noticed the licence sticker proving its authenticity, did a full cheque of the reel for any damages, which there were none. Followed the directions to mount the reel in the centre of my garage, which was of ease. I really like the colours of this reel and tested the retractability which worked wonderfully. So far ALL PROS and no cons, I really like this reel and it makes my projects easier having got more mobility to move further distances with my air tools. I will definitely be buying more from this seller as well be recommending this to all my mates.

Nowhere will you find it stated that the hose comes with 3/8 inch BSP male fittings. It will not therefore fit many UK compressors and air tools which are 1/4 inch BSP. You will have to find either a 3/8 inch female to 1/4 inch male adapter, which are as rare as hen’s teeth. Try

I got this retractable air hose even though it was $30 more than other similar products but in this case it seems to be worth the extra $. As the other reviewers stated, it does not leak at all. The spring is very strong, and you need to be a bit careful when you retract the hose or you may find yourself whipped really good! Hope it holds up but only time will tell.
Use hex head bolts to mount it as getting a screwdriver on screws to mount it is hard because of the angle. Don’t forget quick release air fittings – use the standard kits available everywhere.

The hose is supple but strong. Easy to manage, short term use of air is a breeze no pun intended. Mounting this to the Wall Stud (no do not mount to sheet rock, duh) takes the load off of my compressor hardware. Totally love this reel!

Easy to install, the hose is very flexible in cool temperatures, the reel retracts and extends smoothly. I can’t believe that I struggled with a lousy Harbor Freight plastic hose that would stiffen to the point of being unusable below 50 degrees for all those years. Yes, it’s expensive, but it works perfectly. Do yourself a favor, just buy it.

Easy to install, works great. Certainly clears up the clutter. Should have bought this years ago.
I’ve installed this unit but not used it very much. It was on the expensive side and i would consider going one step better in terms of retractor unit next time for the limited difference. It would be nice if the wall mount unit was detachable from the main unit to make mounting it easier and more permanent.

I use this extensively in my garage for the home fleet of family cars. It’s nice to have a air hose that is easy to roll up…

I love this hose real. It was easy to mount on my wall and it extends and rewinds easily. It appears to be well made and looks like it will last a long time. It has made my life easier while working in the garage!

So far so good but it's only used part time. I can't say I would put it in a daily use shop but it might be good for that , was hoping Goodyear had a good name and so far it does good in my book

I bought this reel for my father as gift, he loves it so much as it works quite well in his garage. The hose length and the quality are good, and the reel bracket can be 180 swivel for different directions. Good reel to bring happy work!

So far so good. I’ve had this hose reel in operation for about a month now. I’ve used it pretty regularly for air tools in an automotive setting. My pet peeves with previous hose reels has been a crappy retractor and crappy hose. Both of those seem to not exist with this reel. The retractor is solid and immediate. The hose is more of a pvc grade than traditional rubber so its more pliable and user friendly when working in the tight spaces of an engine compartment. I suspect it will continue to be a 5 star purchase and will up this review if something changes.
