Good lower price produc
Works well and does what it says. Good option if you want the reliability of a known brand but don’t want to fork out for expensive hose options, autorecoil etc.
Good value
I bought this to replace my old Hozelock reel and it is so much lighter and easier to wind in the hose. It is also pretty good value. Most of the assembly is very easy but make sure you watch the youtube assembly video for this model. Excellent product.
Works well
Bought this primarily as a reel for a hose not really thinking about long term placement but I would have loved to have been able to fix it to a wall. Works well and the hose quality is great!
Very good hose for the price.
This is a like-for-like replacement of a Hozelock reel that I’ve had for at least 15 years so confident it will last. It was beginning to show its age though and recently had to cut off split sections so was starting to get shorter than I need. It’s still fine as an extension though. This is a bit more discrete colour than my old bright yellow hose on green reel, so looks better left out but time will tell if that means I keep tripping over it!
The only other difference between them is that the tap connection hose now clicks on to the reel with a connector rather than permanently linked which means it will be easier to connect the second hose to it.
Easy to assembly – I managed it fine without having to bother with undoing the screws. No leaks. Just take the whole hose off to get the parts.
I was hopeful as I trust this brand but I’m sad to say I’ve had a small tear in the outer part of the hose.
It may well have been my fault, I left it out in the sun and connected to a sprinkler. When I came to put it away at the end of the day, the end connected to the sprinkler had bulged and contorted in a way that caused this small tear. However I would think this is still within normal use so I’m rather surprised.
It hasn’t started leaking yet so I’ll probably just cut this section out and just shorten the hose slightly.
Evening else in the kit has been fantastic.
You get what you pay fo
A recently purchased item, of smart appearance, well made and of a decent size but compact also. I was especially pleased with the build quality of the hose which has a rib on either side which improves its lifespan with less chance of it splitting. Item was easy to assemble comes with the various connections needed, so up and running In no time. Overall a good purchase, there are cheaper similar items out there but personally I would rather pay the extra for the quality.
Strong hose but it comes disassembled and difficult to rewind.
First thing to note is that the hose comes packed for the buyer to assemble. This involves cutting off a small length off the hose for connecting to the tap, and then routing the main hose through the reel to the internal connection. It’s a bit fiddly and I think that some people could certainly struggle with it. The hose itself is fine, but can be prone to kinks. Winding the hose onto the reel is also not easy due to the fact that the hose is heavy and the reel is light and can take some time. A pain to do every time you use the reel. Next time around, I might get an auto-rewind reel.
I gave this hose a 5 arrived on time every thing was as it should be. The instructions are diagrams only. I am an old age pensioner and after looking at the diagrams twice assembled in 20 mins, no problems.
