First of all, the compressor is extremely quiet. ideal for home use but doesn’t quite have the capacity for continuous high volume spraying. One use I put it to was to spray a number of fence panels using a VEVOR Commercial Paint Pressure Tank spray unit, a fantastic product if you need to spray lots of panels without the need to keep refilling a spray gun. I just about managed a continuous spray action by reducing the pressure slightly. I wouldn’t recommend buying the compressor if you were thinking of spraying car panels for example, but, for average DIY stuff it is the perfect compressor for home due to its quietness and low power consumption of 750W. It would also struggle if using any air tools that rely on a continuous operation above 60cfm. Perfect for Air staplers, 1/4in socket wrenches where an intermittent but high pressure air supply is needed.
I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, and I changed the connectors to suit my airlines, but that’s a personal thing. It does all I need and it’s very compact.
Really pleased with this!!
Super quiet running, very easy to use, good power for its size and weight 10/10
Very quiet
Works well
Good for riveting and other air tools
Useless for air cutters though as you need a bigger tank capacity for tha
When I received the compressor there was slight damage to a little box that holds a round dodah and this was held on with some bent steel.
The switch is hard to pull to get it to work but is very quiet.
Just thrown together.
It took me less than 15 minutes to put it together. The only complaint is the power lead is far to short but easy to replace.
Just not powerful enough couldn’t run my air tools but they are heavy duty air saws probably be ok for light weight tools
Amazing how quite this machine is . Not had it long enough to know reliability yet
Like the fact it comes with a water seperator, always something one needs with a compressor.
The dials are easy to read and it comes with the euro fittings already fitted
Nice piece of kit

Only use with airbrushes at the mo set between 12-35 PSI with no problem. Nose level acceptable within a Garage/Shed in garden. Got mine under bench.
The only niggle is when finished you have to drain the air out. Cant leave air in over night problems with switch control will happen I’m told. The releace valve is underneath the tank in the middle. Would be nice if the valve was at the front in my case.
Maybe an extension release valve will help.
..
Great unit, runs really quietly and builds pressure quickly. A couple of minor points; the wheel spindles are not a flush fit but it’s not a heavy unit so won’t matter. The second point is that the on/off toggle feels a little flimsy. It works fine but I’m concerned that over time it might snap or fail.
Neither issue is worthy of dropping a star though. Worthy of the 5 stars
Very quiet and compact
Completes its charge in just a minute and it’s hassle free.
Very pleased with this product 5 stars
I am extremely happy with my recent purchase of a hyundai air compressor from amazon and I can honestly recommend this to anybody considering this purchase.. and the delivery from amazon was first class ..
I really like this compressor. It’s my third one, I’ve had a Wolf 3 years lifespan then gave it away still working. Got a Titan, used it 3 times and a seal went inside. So splashed out on a bit better quality. Wow, it’s so quiet, and feels quality. DIY use, mainly car tyres and tubeless cycle tyres, some spraying fences etc… Happy I bought it.
This compressor is so much quieter than my old one.
After researching for a new compressor, I was hesitant in purchasing another ear splitting model like my previous compressor. It was loud enough to wake the dead!
The Hyundai completely exceeded my expectations. It’s so quiet I can hold a conversation whist standing next to it.
So far it has performed brilliantly, effortlessly inflating tyres and air nailing.
I would certainly recommend this product.
I hoped it would be quiet and although not silent I can’t believe how quiet it really is. Provides plenty of air for the small workshop tools as well
Having just purchased a new Hyundai car and so very pleased with it, I thought I would go again with them to purchase this compressor for my home workshop.
I have not been disappointed again. I cannot believe how quiet the motor is in operation. It’s virtually silent and vibration free. The built quality is perfect and is very neat & tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend this quality compressor to anyone.
Got this at 17% off as a replacement for my old one that quit! Needed a quiet one due to location of the shed to neighbours, and was a bit sceptical about it being silent, running at 60dB, you can double the capacity for the same price for piston driven, but they run around 90dB!
Very Very pleased with this compressor, it is surprisingly quiet, takes a couple of minutes to reach pressure capacity, but once there hold’s really well with no leaks.
Left it unplugged and pressurised for 3 hours to test it, with no pressure loss, then plugged an open airline connector and timed the drain down time, 47 seconds, so can presume while running it will keep up with pressure requirements of most air tools.
Blowing up balls I’ve had to replace the part that goes into the ball as broken off just ordered a new part yesterday
I originally meant to purchase the 8 litre model for use with an airbrush but accidentally selected the 24 litre model. I was intending to return it but on receipt it was so compact I thought it worth trying out and could possibly also run some other air tools that I have. It was so quiet running that I could use it inside so I decided to keep it. I have not regretted that decision. Recommended.
Quiet, well made. If you have continuous airflow then the motor will run constantly but I have it in my kitchen and the noise level is fine even at night.
Very quiet a pleasure to work with, however lead way to short and hopefully built to last.Could of come with spare rubber washers for drain plug.overall good value for money.
I purchased this on an Amazon warehouse return.
It was meant to be in good condition and just a damaged box, which it was – apart from like a lot of reviews, one of the dials were smashed on arrival. Not a major issue, had a quick chat with Amazon’s customer service and they sorted it and I was able to purchase a new gauge.
The original gauge body is plastic so quite easy to break, replacements are cheap enough and have a metal body which is an upgrade.
The unit is pretty heavy and appears to be solid construction, good job it has wheels to help manoeuvre it around.
Once all put together with the muffler attached to the intake and it is impressively quiet. Trying without the muffler and there is a huge difference in db (an iPhone decibel app showed about 75-85db without and in the 60’s with depending how close you measured from.)
It doesn’t come with any accessories so had to purchase things separately, but the attached quick connection worked fine with the accessories I purchased and no air leaks that I could hear.
This is my first air compressor and I’m super happy with it.
Just taken delivery of this machine. As I bought it as a Used/Returned item I expected it to be one of those returned with a broken pressure gauge. Surprised to find that was not the case and everything that was supposed to accompany it was included.
Once the wheels were on I decided to put it through it’s paces. The red on/off pull switch was very stiff to open up ans I had to lever it up to turn it on. Maybe after some use this will free up a little bit.
Compared to my old machine this is virtually silent (relatively speaking.) I no longer have to worry about disturbing my neighbours or getting heart failure when it recharges unexpectedly.
I toyed with the idea of deducting a star because it is less powerful than by other one, but, I decided that the “silent” mode if worth the sacrifice, and to be honest, I never used the more powerful one to it’s full capabilities. The various tools I have tried with it worked as expected. They may not work as efficiently over a lengthy work period, but for short periods they worked well.
Although it’s early days yet I am more than happy with my purchase considering that not only was it discounted as a returned item but Amazon had an extra 20% discount offer on these, a saving of 42. Bargain.
Came with a couple of fittings – however the bag containing these (wheels etc) had swung about in transit and had damaged the gauge. A quick visit to the support site saw genpower send out a replacement gauge. The stop button was locked down – probably by the bag again, and took a bit of prying up to allow the unit to operate, but since then it’s as advertised. It will just about inflate my Volvo XC90 tyre from flat on one tank, but compresses sufficiently quickly that it’s no problem to leave running and complete inflation to 40psi on a large tyre. I’ve not used any air tools yet, but haven’t seen any concern that the smaller tank would cause problems. Compressor is not super silent, but certainly isn’t loud – didn’t worry my dog in the slightest.
overall its a good compressor, not too noisy and since the updated change in the position of the outlets so now it is possible to use both its a good machine, The problem with it is the packaging. the box is too flimsy and is easily damaged, as with alot of other people the main pressure gauge was smashed and the dial bent beyond repair. this is due to two factors, 1 the box is as flimsy as hell and offers no protection to the machine and, 2 the wheels are in a bag that is cable tied to the handle but to fit it in the box the wheels are positioned directly on the face of the pressure gauge and the slightest knock to box puts it through the dial which is why so many are arriving broken. for me not a major issue as connected to my existing regulator set up so wont bother returning and i suspect that if i did exchange it the same damage would happen.
Up against some pretty stiff opposition from China, this manual still manages to be streets ahead the worst I have ever seen.
A half-dozen pages describing in detail the standard safety symbols in common use internationally and warning people not to stick the compressed air pipe into bodily orifices, followed by a short paragraph telling you to fit the wheels , anti-vibration mounts and air filter then switch on the compressor to see if it works.
I mean, that’s literally it.
There are a couple of thumbnail size pictures of the air filter and the wheels and NOTHING else in the way of a parts identification or overview. Switching on involves grabbing a red bottle cap and hauling on it with way more force than you feel is necessary to rip the thing right off the unit.
One final insanity is the instruction for releasing air pressure that describes a ring-pull on the safety valve, which no longer exists because apparently it was removed because overuse of the valve causes excessive wear. The new instruction for releasing tank pressure (found after searching the internet) is to remove the drain plug from the tank! Pardon me for not wanting to unscrew a drain plug on a pressurized container at 100psi, I just don’t have that sort of absolute confidence in my own immortality. I’ll think of some alternative involving a vent tap in the air line. (Were they trying to save money on the build or did no-one really think about this necessity?)
Still, the compressor itself appears to work very well indeed out of the box and I can’t possibly complain at the price. Time will tell how reliable it is.
I pondered for a long time about this – for the same capacity/power, a ‘normal’ compressor is closer to ~100, so spending ~180 on this for it to be ‘silent’ was a tricky thing to justify as I’m just a hobby woodworker. I’m so glad I did – it really is far quieter than I could have hoped for, and certainly won’t disturb my neighbours when working from my home garage.
The user guide is, frankly, appalling. Luckily, it’s relatively easy to assemble – screw on the filter (and insert the little plastic pipe into the hole at the top of the filter – this isn’t mentioned in the manual). Bolt the wheels on, and you’re good to go.
The knob to adjust the output pressure has a two-stage locking mechanism – first a threaded ring locks on the bottom, and once that’s unscrewed you have to lift the knob in order to turn it. It took me far longer than it should have to realise this, and I first thought that it was jammed.
I’ve used it mostly just to blow dust off things – both when working on a lathe to clear out the shavings, but also to clean machines – my bandsaw looks like new, this clears out far more debris than vacuuming alone can!
I’ve also used it with an air nailer, and to inflate car tyres. Really useful, and I’m so glad I did spend the extra to get the silent model. Time will tell how reliable it is…
What can you say about a compressor, they all do (size for size) pretty much the same thing, but wow this is so quite. Worth the money.
The compressor looks to be quite well made. It is quiet and quick to re-charge. It is a bit awkward to wheel around because the weight is concentrated at the wheeled end and it wants to tip on its end when being pushed. An inconvenience. The instruction booklet is useless without a diagram showing where the component parts are located. I eventually worked it out! Otherwise would have awarded 5 stars. You will need to buy ” accessories as the compressor is bare.
using it for air brushing light use it come on for 45 seconds an hour bot listening to a little one buzz all the time for blowing things off and filling tires not a large capacity but for my needs it works well
It’s silent, it’s a great price, it’s light and it holds more than enough air for the tacking and cleaning I do.
But the manual! Oh my goodness, it is SO poor. There are only two photos in the whole book.
Manufacturers need to understand that not everyone has an engineering degree and for many this is an entry level machine – so will never have used one before.
Stop getting your manuals proof read by the people who make them – try getting the people who are going to use them to read them too.
Frankly if it wasn’t such a good little machine, I would have shipped it straight back to them
Having owned the smaller Hyundai to this one and being very happy with its performance, I decided to upgrade for that extra bit of air.
Sold my smaller unit to a friend who is extremely happy with that to.
They are very quiet that in itself is a good feature.
I bought this product because I was looking at electric nail guns and found the cost of a compressor and pneumatic nail gun was the same price as just an electric one.
The first unit had to be returned due to a broken on/off switch cover leaving exposed electrical connections. Amazon customer service was impeccable and had the faulty one collected next day and a replacement delivered the day after that. Unfortunately, the replacement was also damaged with a cracked gauge but I couldn’t take any more delays, hence the loss of 1 star.
The product itself is very quiet indeed and after a few minutes to build up pressure it was more than adequate to supply air to my nail gun and it takes 20-25 nails before needing to recharge the tank. I find it light enough to carry but it also has a handle and wheels for those that may struggle with it.
Great compressor, good balance of size power and cost. Very short mains lead.
I like the look of it, it’s quiet, the on off switch was quite stiff? The quick fit couplings we’re different from the ones on my air line, so I had to swap them. I’ve only used it once so far for pumping up my car tyres. The length of the plug lead could do with increasing, I had to use an extension lead but it’s not the end of the world. I have bought it to do some light paint spraying, but I need to find the right spray gun to suit it.
A lot quieter than expected and really good compressor.
Only down side is the power lead is way too short! (About 2ft, have to tip it onto back wheels or hold it up to reach a socket)
It really is super quiet and only takes around 2mins to fill up with air.Very happy.
It is amazing how quiet this air compressor is. It was a bit noisy when pressure was first build up but after that was almost no noise from it. Absolutely fantastic!
The low noise level is excellent. The compact design is great.
But the instructions, if you call call it that are woeful. Attaching the wheels was a pain and thankfully I had large washers to do the job.
This is my first home/workshop compressor although I used them at work.
I bought this in early December but
Unfortunately my workshop was not fit for working in anymore and had to be replaced.
So now with new workshop taking shape I found using the compressor was/is a god send. I did find attaching the air line hard to start with but obviously the valves being brand new gave me satisfaction.
Overall I’m very happy with my purchase
Holy cow ! I know it says it’s quiet but I wasn’t really prepared for just how quiet ! Perfect to have in my garage – fantastic
Excellent small compressor for the diy’er, really quiet, def recommend and two year warranty
I use this for painting a car and it was perfect. Super quiet and does exactly what you wa
Great bit of kit I used other compressors which were really noisy in comparison to this one I make garden planters in my shed and think the neighbours a happy lol would highly recommend
It’s not silent but it’s barely any noisier than the 110v transformer next to i
This thing is great. I can now hear my self think with this running in the background of my workshop. Easy to use and nearly maintenance free, you just need to release any condensation build up which is easy to do.
Recently had a requirement for a compressor – one which I could feasibly use indoors without breaking either the bank or my eardrums – and found this one.
Like most compressors it comes with a choice of reservoir size – I went for the 24l version as it’s more flexible without taking up too much space in either use or storage, and still light enough to easily transport. Build quality is excellent as is the finish. Some assembly required – but that’s straight-forward and only amounts to fitting a filter and attaching the wheels, literally just a ten minute job and it’s ready to go.
So, to the main reason for buying this compressor in particular – the noise level. It is absolutely as advertised. Yes, you can hear it, but if you’re using it indoors, you will not be entertaining the neighbours, and possibly not even anyone in the next room! I would describe it as a ‘soft thrumming’, over which you can converse at normal volumes, rather than the sound of an angry dumper truck in heated argument with a troll over who can shout the loudest. Obviously the former is more desirable – though the latter would be more entertaining.
Summary.
If you need a quiet compressor, this one truly fits the bill, it’s well made, well finished, and it’s very good value for money (in my opinion).
Easy to set up quiet running looks well made very good piece of kit knocks spots off my old one
