Well packaged and put together. Perhaps over engineered with more options than you might expect. But it’s a really nice tool set and a joy to use.
How you use it will depend on your needs and style, but whatever you need, it’s in this set.

First impression with this is a slick and smooth set that has a nice finish and is well made. The bits are magnetically stored in both sides of the case as the outer shell is removed they expose themselves, it’s a very satisfying experience.
Using it is a little less exciting, at first it feels nice but in use is more of a novelty, there isn’t much power in the drive and not as much control in the speed as I would like. I’ve found that I still favour doing the tiny more delicate screws by hand with a smaller set and using this for undoing the rest of it until it’s out, the larger case holding screws or tighter board screws are too tight and need more torque and the plastic screws or the thinner boards can crack or split if overtightened at all.

A nice feeling novelty set which has its uses but not that practical and for the price a bit of a luxury.

I have a number of different precision tool kits designed for repairing mobile phones but always have trouble with them as they come with small handles (and I have larger hands). This one gets around this in two ways as the handle is large (to accommodate the battery and function buttons) and has a motor to make things easy.

The pack comes with two inner packets (all cardboard). The main one contains the screwdriver and bits in a metal case. There is also a small magnetic board to stop screws from rolling around. The smaller packet has loads of other tools that are useful for opening mobiles and a USB-C cable for charging the handle. Unfortunately, these are not in any storage, meaning you need to keep them in the box to keep them together. These extra tools are generic type ones that are OK but you will wear them out fairly quickly.

The main holder is well made with the inner holder being held in place with a push clip. Having used this type with some other kits in the past, I recommend these as they hold everything in place well and mean it is all easy to get to when needed.

The handle unit is also well made with a built-in lithium battery that lasts for ages. There are 3 buttons on the side – forward, backwards and one for the ring light at the end. This is a great idea as it lights the area you are working around, making finding the screws easy. Charging is done with the USB-C cable in and connect to a computer or similar – I do like that it uses the newer modern USB-C connector and not the weaker micro-usb. The power of the motor in the handle is low but is more than enough to screw and unscrew mobiles and laptops (I use mine for repairing laptops primarily).

The screwdriver bits are decent and have not ripped or torn, but they are fairly simple ones so do not expect them to last forever.

Overall, a decent screwdriver kit. The only problem I have is that there is nothing to keep all the ‘extra’ tools together. A simple pouch would have sufficed.

    Decent build and works well

This is a very nice screwdriver set even without it being powered. There is a very comprehensive set of bits which should cover pretty much any electronic device. The bits are precisely made and seem to be very durable. They snap securely in to the handle using a magnetic action which holds them well. When not in use they are held in the sturdy case. The handle of the screwdriver has a light which helps a bit in tight spaces and there are two buttons for screwing and unscrewing. It charges via USB C.

I was a bit concerned about the torque of the driver initially but having been using it for a week or two on a variety of projects I have found that the torque is good enough for the smaller bits usually found in electronic devices. The bit does pretty much lock when no buttons are pressed in case you need to free up a stubborn screw or nip up one you are tightening down. The speed is not variable but again it seems to be suitable for the tasks I have used it for, and I am surprised at how much control I feel that I have when using the screwdriver. Not having to rotate my hand means that I am much less likely to slip off of the fastener.

There are some other bits and bobs in the set which do not have a case but may provide useful. My favourite added bits are the magnetic mat to hold small screws and the magnetiser / demagnetiser for the bits. The plastic picks have also proved useful for getting the back off of my laptop to change the SSD.

The only thing I have found to be slightly inconvenient is that there is no way to disable the electronic screw action that I have found and because the buttons are flush and hard to locate it is quite easy to press them inadvertently when you are placing a screw. It also means that it can be hard to locate them when you actually want to use them. Neither of these things are too much of a problem though, rather an inconvenience that you soon get used to coping with.

It is currently priced at around 40. In my mind this is a reasonable price bearing in mind the quality of the screwdriver. Cheaper sets are available but you do get what you pay for and I recommend this set for the enthusiast, hobbyist or technician.

There is a lot to be said for this product, firstly it is finished with high grade materials, secondly, it is finished to a very high standard, anyone buying this kit will know what they are looking for and most likely be using it for watch or phone repairs who do repairs all day to save themselves from wrist strain.
Now the movement and mechanical working of the screwdriver is nice and smooth and easy to control the added led light is great for that extra focus on those fiddly jobs. The machined finish on the case/holder leaves you feeling very satisfied when you get this tool out to use it.

if you are in the market for a premium precise screwdriver set then this really is the pinnacle! I am sure there are probably cheaper or better brands out there. But I honestly wouldn’t look any further this product is of such a high standard and performs as it should, and with the novelty premium design, I would say this screwdriver set would cost you double the 49.99 asking price!

if you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up!

What an absolutely beautiful set of tools. Really impressed. Lovely selection of bits and a fantastic electric driver (even the motor sounds cool – bit like a dentists drill!). Obviously this wouldn’t be any good for any heavy/medium duty work – you will need a proper drill for that – but for unscrewing small items its brilliant. Even the case is well made. The only tiny downside are the box of bits and bobs which don’t fit into the main case – really useful bits for watch repairs etc. Like I say, a tiny downside as they aren’t really what I would expect to be included anyway. The magnetic screw pad is brilliant and I wonder why I haven’t thought of getting one before (wish that in particular slid into the main case, shame).

Beautifully engineered with a deep brushed aluminium surface. The case is a neat bit of engineering too. I fix computers for a living and I’ll earn that b50 cost back in an hour or two. Apart from aesthetics, if you are worried about RSI, maybe invest in something like this – I just like the looks and the centre mounted LED’s are a real help. 10/10

The kit is well presented and has a pretty good range of bits (on front and rear of case).

The handle is smooth, a rubber grip would have been nice plus some options to set the torque for working on delicate equipment.

It has some kind of clutch locking the bit so you can use it as a normal screwdriver (with the limitations of the small diameter smooth handle).

Nice and cool electric screwdriver set.
There are 48 bits, they are in a case together with the screwdriver.
The case is made of aluminum, in a dark gray colour.
The product is very nice to see and touch.
The screwdriver has a small LED light on the tip that allows you to work even in situations of poor visibility.

As a tool set this powered screwdriver set is very well made and comes in a practical and ergonomic aluminum case. All the tools and bits are kept safe and secure and protected from dust dirt and the environment. Opening the set is simply a matter of pushing the end in to unlatch the cental container holding the driver and all the bits

I especially liked the way all the bits are stored. The inner container is magnetic and all the bits are held in place magnetically. There is no fiddly pulling the bits from tight-fitting plastic retainers and you can easily and quickly swap bits when working.

The driver is powered by its own integrated battery that charges via a USB lead, included. The driver has a simple smooth casing with no handgrips and a forward and reverse push-button for engaging the drive. There is also a button to turn on a powerful work light. This is not controlled by the driver switches, meaning you can leave it on for easier location of fixings without the motor running.

The driver has no speed control, but the torque is powerful. In fact, I found it safer to manually loosen a screw before using the driver to save the possibility of turning the head over, if I applied too little downward force on the head. Some form of torque control would be useful here to avoid this potential problem.

The description states “1 AAA battery required. (included)” This appears to be misleading as although the battery may be AAA size, it’s not an ordinary replaceable battery, but a built-in rechargeable one.

The bits are all well cast and engineered to good tolerances. I’ll explain a bit about the materials:
S2 steel is harder than chrome vanadium or 8650 steel, but it is also less ductile and, as such, more prone to shattering. Used in a low-impact driver such as this is an ideal choice.

HRC is the Rockwell hardness rating used for commercial knives and other metal tools. Very hard steel e.g. chisels, quality knife blades will have an HRC of 55–66. This set of bits has a rating of 56-60 designating them robust and hard-wearing for the low impact uses here.

This is a desirable micro toolset, with an excellent range of bits, a good storage case and a capable power driver. IT will suit the professional user, DIYer, and hobbyist alike. Practice using the driver first to ascertain the power torque to downward head interlocking pressure first, and you won’t strip any fixing heads.

Excellent for fast repetitive working with micro screw fittings

Love this yes its not needed and to all those who stated it was pointless WHY BUY IT ? I bought this as I work on laptops a lot and this is perfect. If you care about torque then maybe this is not for you. Its a great bit of kit looks and feels amazing.
I treated myself this is a not a tool for me its an accessory 🙂

I have used a ” drive electric screwdriver for years but this is the first precision one I have tried. The ilabPRO set has a premium feel about it. It is supplied with a wide range of high-quality bits in a metal case. When the end of the case is pressed a tray springs out which contains the driver and bits. The bits are held in the tray magnetically and can be found on both the front and back of the tray. The driver itself is a cylinder 180mm long with a diameter of 15mm. It has a USB-c socket at the end for charging. The set also has a USB-C cable and a number of items designed to help work on small electrical devices such as spudgers and a useful magnetic mat to put small screws on to stop them flying off the desktop.

The driver has buttons on the side to screw, unscrew and switch on an LED light. It also has an indicator to show when it has been charged. It fits neatly in the hand and operates very smoothly. There is a spindle lock so the screwdriver can be used manually; the instructions advise that screws are initially loosened this way to avoid the risk of damage. The torque produced by the screwdriver seems about right for a precision screwdriver but is strong enough to damage smaller screws. It is rated as capable of delivering about 0.3 N.M powered and 3 N.M manually. The screwdriver overall seems well designed. I have one minor criticism about the way the controls are laid out as I often find myself accidentally switching on the LED.

This screwdriver is a quality item. At the current price of about 50 for the set it is worth shopping around for a configuration that suits you best. It is a bit of a luxury if you are not a professional however it is a joy to use and hopefully will last for years.

I got this toolkit for my husband to try, he enjoys repairing electrical items including computers and I thought that this would be ideal for him. This item is really neat and expensive looking, it is a luxury item as the price denotes but if I was purchasing it as a special gift I would pay the price.
The kit is contained in a neat, handy metal slide container, it comprises of the screwdriver and 48 bits in a dedicated slots on both sides of the slider. The screwdriver is tactile and comfortable to hold, it is charged by a USB cable which is included, it has an LED light to illuminate the area. The bits are magnetic , my husband found that some were more magnetic than others but he didn’t find this a problem.
Also included in the price is a useful accessory kit (see illustration ) .
My husband used the toolkit to repair my laptop, he was able to use the spludger (included in accessory kit) to lift the keyboard and the screwdriver to release all the screws, his comment was that it is neat, easy to store, easy to use and transportable if needed.
I will also find this kit handy to use about the house even for such small things as replacing the screws in my specs or removing the screws from the battery compartment of my bathroom scales.

    Neat precision tool ki

I spend a lot of time stripping/fixing electrical devices, laptops, mobile phones, tablet you get the picture so finding a good set of quality driver is always worth the effort, and money. So when I got a chance to try these I jumped at it and I’m glad I did.
In this pack you get all you need to get stripping those laptops and phones. You get the rechargeable driver itself, with 48 bits, all magnetic and as strong as any small bits I’ve used.
You also get a few triangular piece of plastic to help lever open the casing of laptops and the like. Plus, a pair of tweezers with pointed ends. A magnetise/demagnetiser, a long plastic lever, a metal lever, a sucker and a magnetic strip.
The driver is lightweight and easy to use, barely thicker than a good quality pen, having 3 switches, forward, reverse and light on/off — the light glows from the front of the driver, lighting up the area working on. There’s a light on the top end, where the USB-C port is which glows when this is charging the battery.
The case is excellent, a plastic inside where the driver and bits go, and a metal shell to protect all that’s inside. The bits are held in place by magnets so they stay put whilst being easy to take from the packet. With 24 bits on either side of the inner tray.
The bit heads range from your standard flat and cross, together with so many others, torx, security torx and more. All you need for most, if not all screws out there.
I like the way the tray comes out of the shell, press the end in and the tray clicks out, push it back in and it locks in position so simple.
In all, a cracking little screwdriver set which really helps when it comes to working on those smaller machines. Well worth having at your side.

A cracking little box of help when it comes to taking small electrical devices apart.

I like screwdriver sets, I have had several over the years, even powered ones, but I have never had a powered precision screwdriver. This is like the Rolls Royce of the precision screwdriver sets that I have had.

I’ll start with the screwdriver itself, it feels nice in the hand, easy to hold although maybe a nonslip surface would be a little better, but it looks beautiful. Turn it on and you’ll notice that it also has a little light to see into those fiddly areas.

The length of the screwdriver itself is handy, a longer reach than many I have had, and the forward and reverse buttons that power the head are easily accessible. I rarely do any really big precision jobs, I leave the computer, phone or tablet repairs to someone far more technically qualified than I, but for general jobs around the house, removal of battery covers, wiring plugs or connector blocks etc, I think this will be pretty useful.

The case itself that houses the screwdriver and bits looks like anodized aluminium, it seems well made, and the plastic drawer that holds the screwdriver and bits is easily extracted. There are 48 screwdriver bits in total, some of which are longer which is pretty useful, they look to be good quality.

Along with the set comes a handful of accessories, I won’t pretend I will know what purpose each serves, some are obvious, some less so, but if you are the sort of person who this screwdriver set is aimed at, then I am sure you will know what each is for.

There is not a lot that I didn’t like about this set, but the accessories are possible the fly in the ointment for me. Whereas the screwdriver and bits are housed beautifully in a aluminium case, the accessories are wedged haphazardly into a cardboard box, this means that they will easily get lost or damaged, or the the box will fall apart, unless you keep everything together in the main cardboard box. At this sort of price I would have expected there to be a box, even if plastic, to hold the accessories in some sort of order.

The screwdriver is charged via a USB C socket, and there is a short cable included. This is a really nice set but I do think that 49.99 seems to be a little on the expensive side.

This is an electric screwdriver for very precise work, mainly on objects with screws that have small heads. There are so many sizes here I don’t think there will small screw invented that it won’t fit.
If you’re into repairing objects such as computers, phones etc it will probably work well, we decided we really wouldn’t obtain much use out of it apart from repairing our glasses, often the screws on the hinges become loose and we have to take them into the opticians. We tried this and it worked really well, tightened everything thing up in a jiffy with no problem at all. I’m sure it will come in handy when we have other pieces that need a finer touch.
It comes with a USB cable for charging, charging was quick. I would say this is too high a price if you are going to use in infrequently. It appears well made.

    Okay for precise jobs

    ilabPRO Electric Precision Screwdriver Set
First of all, it has to be said that this is an excellent electric screwdriver set, full marks for whoever put this set together. The choice of components is spot on for working on devices such MacBooks, laptops, mobile phones, tablet PCs, spectacles etc. The whole screwdriver kit is stylishly packaged in a compact case within a metal sleeve. The screwdriver is a long slim unit with three buttons one for forward another for reverse and the third one to turn on LEDs in the head that light up the area while you work. All of the 4mm hex bits are held in place by a magnetic backing making it simple to stow them away after use. This kit is in the larger of two boxes inside the printed outer card cover.
In the second box is the USB C charging cable and more tools aimed primarily at disassembling smartphones and the like. These tools are also good quality though more in keeping with the sort of tools you normally get in phone disassembly kits. Also included is a small magnetic mat, about 180 x 60mm, useful for retaining the tiny screws, clips and springs that are commonly found in these electronic devices there is also a magnetiser/demagnetiser should you need it.
The 4mm hex bits in this kit means I can use a whole host of other bits and fittings I already have to expand the usefulness of the device. Despite its small size, the motor of the ilabPRO electric screwdriver is surprisingly powerful and fast.
The electric screwdriver is nice to use, it sits well in my hand with the buttons in just the right position for easy operation. Bits are held in place by a magnet in the tool socket. The only thing I have found that can be a bit annoying is that being round, the screwdriver tends to roll away when I put it down on the bench. I will probably make a ‘V’ shaped gismo to rest the screwdriver in to solve the problem.
The included hex bits are a good choice and very comprehensive, including some security type bits, they are all made from S2 alloy steel which is a tough, hard material very suitable for these types of tools. Other types of bits could easily be added to cover any that better suit your needs. Having said that, the included implements will enable you to tackle the majority of jobs on the devices mentioned and probably a lot more.
The ilabPRO electric precision screwdriver set is certainly good value at 49.99 and I happily recommend it.

This “ilabPRO Electric Precision Screwdriver Set – Electric Screwdriver Multi Tool kit with 48 Premium bits, Magnetic Cordless Screwdriver and Repair kit for DIY and pro Level Repairs” is intended for only the lightest repair or assembly tasks of technical equipment as it is limited to C4/4mm hex bits. The term ‘precision’ is expected to indicate its purpose more than any inherent quality. It is expensive relative to the equivalent unpowered set, some of which may offer additional bit types and sizes and many may find it difficult to justify the expenditure for any limited benefit it may offer.

It is powered by a single AAA-sized lithium-ion rechargeable battery but there is no power switch, just a rocker switch for forward and reverse. There is doubt about its ability to deliver enough torque (0.3 N/m maximum) for difficult situations where a screw is very tight or a product such as Loctite was used but conversely there may be too much for the really tiny screws sometimes encountered. A task prior to the kit’s arrival involved a very tight screw that defied several driver bits from a long-owned manual C4 kit (they also wobble within their driver) – only an expensive and very accurately cut German Philips screwdriver managed to release it. The magnetised bits will help ensure that smaller screws can be safely removed and inserted without loss (hopefully).

While 48 ‘tools’ or bits are included, 6 of which are about 1.5cm longer than the remainder, none were specifically listed on the product page; the 50% shown include selected flat blades, Philips, Torx and other less common ‘security’ bits mostly in several sizes – a full list of types and sizes, where relevant, is provided on the packaging but of no help until received. There are also 12 additional accessories of which half are spudgers to help open the cases of small devices such as some smartphones. They are supplied in a smaller thin card box with no effective means for storage once unpacked and the boxes are presumably recycled – not well considered!

There is further concern for the bits which are described as being nickel plated S2 steel. While supposedly harder than chrome vanadium, it is brittle and inclined to shatter when stressed. Used with care, they may out-perform similar tools made from the low-grade soft steel that is popular with many Chinese tool producers. Time, and a few uses, will tell! However, the fit of the bits within the bit holder is sufficiently loose with the few sampled unacceptably wobbling within the holder; that may damage screw-heads, especially with very small screws, to such an extent that their removal and replacement is impossible – the limited torque the driver provides may then demand the use of a manual version with greater grip and torque possible.

It would have been most helpful if a full list of included bits and accessories was provided up-front so that potential purchasers could ascertain in advance that the kit will meet their specific requirements which, for some, may require tools specific to a particular purpose and product group – it probably does – but are otherwise not so useful. There are a few illogical choices and omissions, e.g. the largest Philips bit is PH2, omits PH1 and then offers PH0 and PH000 and there are others – PH1 is also omitted as a longer-length bit. Regardless of doubts, concerns or unanswered questions, it is likely to be used less often than a year or two ago due to semi-retirement.

The screwdriver is USB-rechargeable (the cable is included among the separately boxed accessories but there is no place for it in the hard storage case) and has a built-in LED light concentrated at the tip controlled by a dedicated switch. The screwdriver’s body is so smoothly cylindrical that it offers no extra grip should additional torque be required in a specific instance or where a product such as ‘Loctite’ was used to secure a screw.

A comparable manual kit has a book-style case that immediately exposes its entire contents, making a choice of bit immediate; it is that style of case that is used for the brand’s equivalent manual kit. The case supplied with this kit is unique and uses a spring-locking closure; press to open and again to close once fully inserted. The drawer, once removed, is double-sided with half the bits on one side and the remainder at the rear. There is a dedicated slot for each bit, labelled for format but not respective size although the individual bits are each engraved with their type code and size.

At first glance you might think this is just an expensive precision screwdriver set but it is just so much more.

I have used may precision screwdrivers in my very long career and would have loved to have found this set much earlier, it is streets ahead of the rest, there might be copycat cheaper ones out there but this set is really at the top of the tree by a mile.

When you open the main box there are 2 white boxes, the bigger of the 2 contains the mains screwdriver set and a magnetic pad, so you can put any screws etc you remove on it and they will stay in place and not roll around, providing they are magnetic of course, of which 99% usually are.

The main substantial aluminium case holds the screwdriver itself plus an amazing 48 screwdriver bits, there is one for any screw head in the ‘precision world’ you will come across such as Phillips, Hex, Tri and Pentalobe (that I even didn’t realise existed !) and they are made of top quality S2 steel with a HRC rating of 56-60 and are all clearly labelled on the case itself so you know exactly where each bit goes.
To open the case you press the bottom in and it then ‘clicks’ out of the main cover with all the tools on display.
To lock it back in you just push it back in again until it clicks again, they actually define it as ‘quick release’.
Both sides of the case contain bits and one side contains the actual main screwdriver body as well.

The screwdriver itself just looks and feels so, so nice and is well balanced and also not heavy, it is very deceiving, you think it is going to be heavy, but it really isn’t !
On the end of the screwdriver is the latest USB-C type charging socket and they provide a standard USB-A to USB-C cable for charging it too in the other ‘smaller white box’, this charges up the built-in Lithium-Ion battery (the best type you can get at the moment), and you should do that straight away before use.

There is a small leaflet, which identifies each component if this set, not fully comprehensive I admit, but it really doesn’t need to be as the operation is so simple and obvious really, but still it is good to have.

On the main body of the screwdriver towards the bottom half, are 3 buttons, the topmost round one, turns the light on and off (which shines from the very bottom of the screwdriver, so you can see exactly what you are working on) and lower down are two ‘arrow’ buttons – the bottom one for ‘clockwise (tighten) and the top one for anti-clockwise (slacken), these buttons feel so nice and tactile, soft to the touch, everything feels just so ‘luxury’ nothing has been skimped on at all, even the main body feels so nice to the touch.
Just pop the screwdriver bit of your choice into the end and away you go.

In the smaller white box, there is a 12-piece repair toolkit which includes everything you would need to dismantle phones and tablets, including a suction cup, precision tweezer set, spudger, scraper tool and demagnetiser… even all of these are of top quality, and not poor quality, like some I have used.
Also, as I mentioned earlier is the USB-A to USB-C charging cable.

In conclusion, this is a screwdriver set I will go to first now, it is just, quality, quality, quality !
It will definitely last a lifetime, but what a joy to use… it puts all my other sets, some of which were very expensive, to complete shame, so don’t think of this set as expensive but as an ‘investment’ – there is nothing in this set that you will have to buy again because of poor quality, that is for sure.

There are very few tools I get excited about these days, but this is definitely one that DOES excite me !
There is absolutely nothing I can be negative about with this screwdriver set, this company is one of the few that has got everything 100% right.
A company to definitely look out for in the future.
5 stars with no problem from me… forget all the others, treat yourself with this set, you won’t regret it, I can’t wait to use it again.
