Built for Aggressive Work
JELLAS – Designed Tools Seed New Stories. While there are many types of sanders out there, using the wrong one will make your sanding job a nightmare. Sanding is an important aspect to great wood floors since the electric sander can help repair, restore or refinish hardwood floors.
In a nutshell, Jellas 750W 75×533mm Electric belt sander is on the powerful side, able to strip down a piece of wood in a short amount of time. Smoothing and shaping wood best on large, flat surfaces, and can strip off not just wood but coating materials like paint and metal(Should use corresponding sheets for metal sanding). If you’re looking to strip down and finish entire planks, the Jellas wood sander is a good choice because it will offer pretty uniform results across the breadth of its sanding surface. And it is easy to control.
When installing the sanding belt, please keep the arrow on the belt in the same direction of the arrow on the machine, which enables the belt a longer service life, avoiding leaving scratches on the board.
Carbon brushes are a very important part of the 750W sander machine. Jellas high-quality carbon brushes make the electric sanders have a longer service life.
The dust bag has higher dust collection efficiency than the dust box, and the dust bag has air permeability to prevent dust from entering the motor again, so that the service life of the belt sander is longer.
The 75×533mm electrical sander comes with 10pcs Belt Sander Sanding Belts (2pcs 40 grits, 2pcs 60 grits, 2pcs 80 grits, 2pcs 120 grits and 2pcs 180 grits aluminum oxide sanding belts), they satisfy more needs of the change of the bands.
The belt sander includes a 2 in 1( 32mm and 35mm) vacuum adapter to connect to a vacuum cleaner.which can increase the dust collection effect and facilitate cleaning.

Warmly Tips
√Always ensure that the machine is switched off and plug is removed from the power point before making any adjustment.
√Run the sander for a minute or to ensure correct alignment before using the sander on a workpiece.
√For longer periods of use or on large pieces of work, it is advisable to use a suitable vacuum cleaner. (32mm and 35mm vacuum cleaner ports both fit Jellas Belt Sander)
Steps to attach a sanding belt:
Step 1, Select the required grade of sanding belt.
Step 2, Pull the belt tension lever
Step 3, When attaching a sander paper, please slip a sanding belt by the direction of arrow shows on the sander.
Step 4, Fold down the lever
Step 5, While the belt is running slowly, adjust the tracking adjustment knob to align the belt to the centre of the roller.
Do not continue to use the sander with a sanding belt that is overworn or damaged. Do not use the same sanding belt for wood and metal. Metal particles become embedded in the belt and will scour a wooden surface.

Great belt sander well pleased with glad we bought it got belts with too great price would recommend weren’t sure to buy it with it not been a named make i have heard of before but glad we did
I am not a professional and used the product only a few times since i bought it; however, it seems to be doing it’s Job well so far. I like that can be mounted to the work bench up said down. It comes with extra motor brushes and various grit belts. I would recommend for beginner woodworkers like me
Very good unit better than i expected, gets ot underneath so use for 20 mins then let cool down a bit otherwise heat will affect motor. Use for no more than 20mins a time to prevent white finger syndrome. Complete floor sanded in a day.
Great price
Does what it says it should do
Using as a bench sander with clamps to hold in place
Great machine and came with spare sanding belts
Only down side for me is it is a little noisy
I sanded 4 old youngerman boards in one session really pleased no overheating of the motor . A great sander at a great price just be careful you put sanding belts on properly or you will get a injury . I would buy again and recommend to friends and family
This is a very good machine and made my life a whole lot easier when sanding some rough sawn wood for an outdoor project, the variety of sanding belts was excellent and made easy work of it. Would definitely recommend.
A very powerful tool does not need a stronger Misa
Very good value and feels nicely made. Cheaper and looks better built than my two previous belt sanders of same belt size and by well-known makers, both of which went wrong fairly quickly, so fingers crossed for this one.
So far so good but I haven’t really used it yet but it’s a pain getting the belt to run true but will try different belts.
Good value sander for the amateur/occasional user. The metal clamps that are included allow the unit to be securely mounted upside down on a workmate etc for sharpening knives and fine wood sanding.
The only downside I could find is that the drive wheel seems to be plastic, rather than metal which may shorten it’s useful life.
Good for the price.

A total revelation, never used a belt sander before this one, but what a difference it makes. Really easy to use and infinitely cleaner than my previous attempts with an orbital sander.
Didn’t know what to expect but having used on a variety of projects I am extremely pleased.
Great value and works well, what more could you want?
Highly recommended.
I like this sander, made short work of preparing my sub floor ready for vinyl.
This sander is great value, its big and clumbsey. It works good on flat surfaces.
I got this sander on a whim. I was making some windows and while I usually disdain belt sanders, I thought for 49, what have I got to lose. It is a real bargain. Belts included, bench stand, adjustable speed. It lasted through making 11 windows without missing a beat. It does have a belt adjustment feature and tracked well. The belts even last a decent amount of time. The only fault I found was the dust bag. It doesn’t really work. Not the first time I have had a belt sander with this problem. Not much of an issue as I used a vacuum.

here are lots of reviews about this.
it is good, especially for the money
if i was to be picky, i would say it could do with a longer flex.

Really good for the price..doses what it says on the tin..
I don’t review stuff often, so it takes a lot to move me to do so.
Bought this to sort a floor out, see photo. There were patches of bitumen-like material stuck to the floor from when our property had been two flats and this room had been an upstairs kitchen. It’s a sander, not a miracle worker, so it can’t completely remove the marks where the oils from the material have soaked into the grain over time, but you can see it’s done a stand up job overall. We have now largely reclaimed this floor from oblivion and tbh the odd darker patches give it some extra character.
Very happy with this purchase, easy to use, supplied with a variety of belts. Not as expensive a household name brands, but it does the job nicely. The dust extraction works damn well too! I was able to ditch the ventilator for a bit it was so effective!.
It is quite portable and powerful, as described by the seller. However the belt very easily slides to one side during the sanding, but it will return back to the right position when pressure is released – not sure if this is a single case or common issue.

Made easy work of sanding damaged floorboards. A very easy to operate tool.
Had I had more strength in my wrists and hands, this would have been a good purchase. I bought it to replace an old belt sander, which is much lighter but very old now. It looked like a good product, but I am unable to use it, so unfortunately I had to return it.

Jellas 750W Belt Sander 75533mm with 10Pcs Sanding Belts and Dust Bag
I’m not by any means a professional carpenter or anything like that, but like lots of people, I do like to occasionally attempt to turn my hand to one task or another that might require a little more than can be achieved with just basic tools. I’ve had more than one job where I’ve been messing about with sheets of sandpaper or rasps and files, and a power sander of some kind would be useful.
Enter this sander. It’s actually a pretty simple concept. The wheels of the sander rapidly move the sandpaper strip, rather than you having to do the same thing with your hands. It’s actually incredibly easy to use. There’s a lever that loosens the belt, allowing you to take it off to swap it with another one, and then you just flick the lever back to tighten it again. The speed control is a simple dial that I think is pretty self-explanatory, and then there’s an on/off button. That’s it. Even an idiot like me can figure that out. You just turn it on and then run it over the thing that you want to be smooth, and it does its thing. I recently had to build a new base for my mum’s bird table, and a few minutes of work with this had it nice and smooth.
And if that wasn’t enough, as a nice little bonus they include a couple of clamps with it that allow you to attach it to a workbench to use as a table sander if you so choose, and a dust bag to catch all the bits. If you need to sand something, this seems like a reasonably priced way to do it to me.
Easy to use ,came with a few belt so could use straight away
So far works very well has a bit of weight about it good value at teh mome
Was blown away by the quality for the price of the item, even came with extra belts, clamps and vacuum attachments! They’ve thought of it all! I sanded for 30 minutes none stop and it handled it no problem…
Spot on great product managed to do the job I bought it for in no time thanks to this sande
Problem with my 1st belt sander but was quick to receive a replacement
Used the belt sander which saved me hours of sanding.
Regret never buying a belt sander before.
Belts easy to change and the fact that you can attach the sander to a bench upside down is another great feature
used to sand 2/3mm of bottome of doors……perfect for the money. Attached vac, course belt and set to maximum speed…….job done just the same as expensive makita
This belt sander is just what I wanted. A reasonably priced sander complete with spare sanding belts of differing grit coarseness, dust collection bag and variable speed. Already used it for preparing the top surface of patio wall sleepers. Now ready for exterior varnish treatment. The surface was really uneven but this sander has worked a treat. The dust collection bag works pretty well too. Perfect choice!
Sander is good for the money but you could put more sandpaper in the as it is hard to get them as I found ou
My existing sander burnt out before I could finish the work. I ordered this on line and it arrived the same day enabling me to complete the work. This is a a good machine for the price with the added feature of being able to clamp it to a bench and use it as a linisher.

Gritty belt spins round wood gets smooth. And it does it very well. The clamps to turn it to a table sander are a great extra, works well easy to use.
I have two large wooden gates to sand. They are larch that I bought new and protected with wood wax. The wax soaks into the grain, it’s sticky so it attracts dirt. Over the last 5 years it set hard.
Sure wax preserves the wood but it looks horrible. Used my jet wash to shift the bulk of wax. Hours with belt sander then finish off with detail sander. This belt sander has been marvellous. It’s affordable, easy to use, changing belts is simple, the dust bag works very well and the supplied belts are quality. Very impressive. Gates now look beautiful. As it moves a lot of material face masks and protective glasses are essential.
Review for Jellas 750W Belt Sander 76533mm with 10Pcs Sanding Belts and Dust Bag, Bench Sander with Variable-speed Control, 2 in 1 Vacuum Adapters, 10Feet (3 meters) Length Power .
Having several orbital sanders already this is a belt sander I have the opportunity to evaluate being familiar with other products from this brand. This offers the flexibility to be both a travelling as well as static belt sander by inverting and clamping to a bench or table using the supplied clamps. This is a corded model which has a 3m long power cord, and featuring and extra front auxiliary handle for added stability during use. Included are several strip of various grade sand paper so you can start to use the sander straight out of the box. The sander has a dust extraction port which can either be used with the detachable dust collection bag or a suitable vacuum cleaner attachment. I recently needed to sand longer strips of floor boards which an orbital wasn’t ideal for, this gave a much more even and consistent finish for long strips of wood. Overall a well made, versatile, practical and well priced belt sander tool.
Great product vv good for diy and probably professional use also extremely pleased with i
All the features and usefulness of a more expensive model.
Good job, straight in and resurfaced a table with it.
This is a really good idea rice if kit. Only slight downside is a small piece of white plastic broke and fell off from inside. Can only assume it snapped as the sanding belt tracked.
Still works fine – so fa
This replaces an old Titan sander. It works a treat and is less noisey. Dust collection is good using the bag but better with a vacuum albeit more clumsy.
Brilliant for thee money. Used it when doing decking and erecting my arbour, easy and great to use.
A nice size sander with a sturdy body . Well pleased with the finished item the sander made.
Recent restoration job on old sash windows & this proved invaluable!! Cut through layer upon layer of old paint with this & they now look like new!! There’s a lock on button so you don’t need to hold the trigger the whole time & an adjustment dial to help keep the belt running ‘true’. Set up correctly, the belt wants to sit in the middle & run happily, but if this is poorly lined up, the belt will start to wander. Too much pressure will see the belt start to stray as well, but lift it off your workpiece & it’ll quickly recenter itself. The key, is really not to use pressure, the speed does the cutting, pressure just puts unnecessary strain on the motor & slows it down!! There’s a few belts included, these work well & as expected (just don’t go fast on paintwork, it’ll melt/burn & clog the belt) & there’s a dial speed control so that you’re not being too aggressive to the workpiece.
Clamps are included, so this could be flipped over & fixed in place, letting you use this as a bench sander, an excellent inclusion!!
It’s a fairly bulky machine, but it’s pretty powerful at the same time, so not for tight workspaces.
There’s around 2 meters of cable attached.
Definitely worth considering, if you’ve some heavy sanding to do, but if it’s your 1st time with one of these, a little practice on some scrap wood to get used to it would be my suggestion.
Really happy with this. Very easy to use and change belts. Love the feature that it can stand on its own. Overall very happy.
Well made and sturdy. Works very well. Easy toi change belts.
Very easy to set up. Sanded two pallets and belt has not slipped once. Dust bag collects dust well. Recommend using safety glasses. Variable speed is useful and effective. Recommended.
Very good while it lasted, but just over five months after I bought it, the carbon brushes disintegrated and motor overheated. The Customer service staff replaced it within three days, excellent service.
A good heavy duty looking machine and has enough power to sand old pallets smooth on no time, not changed the belt yet but looks easy very impressed
Very easy to use i sanded old timber for most of a day and it was brilliant. Excelent for shaping timber. The belt was like new when i was done. Also you get 10 belts with it. It can also bolt onto your bench and use it upside down. Sanding sharpening shaping it will do anything. Best buy of 21
I have been using this for two months now and could not be happier. Once I got myself acquainted with using a belt sander (youtube), it was easy to set up and use. The speed control on the forward handle is very nicely placed by the thumb. I have used the two clamps so i can use this as a bench top sander and it was brilliant, a lot of other manufacturers do not offer this feature. Once i had done my research this one one of the reasons why i picked this model to make full use of the sander. I am a confident DIYer and have been sanding down pallets to make some back garden furniture and it has not missed a beat, although i have gone through a load of belts but that is my choice with the amount of sanding i am doing. I could have easily bought a top brand belt sander but this is spot on and does the job, i look after it and clean it down after every use as the dust gets everywhere, so a bit of preventative maintenance goes a long way to look after my purchase so it will hopefully look after me. Belts are easy to change just follow the guide if not youtube it as there are loads of videos on how to set up your belt sander. I would recommend this product without hesitation.
For large jobs this has all the power that you need – pretty heavy compared to my usual palm sander though and it takes a while to get used to handling it and keeping it on target – but once you get there it does a great job. Easy to change the belts and the dust bag catches quite a lot – better if you can attach suction to it though. Not sure I will use this for normal rounding or smoothing jobs, palm sander is better. However for working on sheets of wood or long runs of stick wood this can’t be beat.

Time will tell if it’s value for money, only used it a bit,to try out,so far it seems to be a good purchase.
Solid machine, only part that feels a bit plastic are the clamps
This is brilliant i use it fixed to my workbench it is a bit noisy but all sanders are it’s no worse than my saws all said its a great product for the price.
I found this awkward to use holding it at an angle, due to the weight of the machine. It works fine if sanding a horizontal surface with good support underneath. On the plus side, the dust bag was good at collecting the dust.

I purchased this sander as it was considerably cheaper than the Bosch one (although I do normally buy Bosch. Sorry Bosch!!)
It has everything the Bosch one had plus brackets to attach to a bench.
Buy it if you want a good but cheaper sander.
I waited a while to write this review to get a good feel for this belt sander.
This is a really excellent tool, its solidly built, well balanced, easy to control, and streets ahead of more well-known brands which I’ve used and found disappointing.
Great value, I’d recommend based on my experience to date.
I picked this up via Vine, but my original need for it went away.
However, I’ve used it recently, so can add some comments.
The unit is nicely made for the money and looks like it would last well in the hands of a DIYer (assuming a not excessive amount of use) and it works well.
It’s fairly easy to change the sanding bands and, while I didn’t use this feature, the ability to clamp it in places a stationary belt seems potentially useful.
My only, mild, complaint is that the sander is quite heavy, making it hard to sand at any angle but horizontal (maybe they assume you never will) for more than a few minutes unless you have strong forearms.
Overall, though, a decent sander.
Purchased to renovate my old coffee table which started losing paint and veneer cover on top with sharp edges poking out. I’ve tried to use small sander but it was not powerful and effective enough to sand whole top surface. This sander works much better as belt is moving very fast instead of user moving small handheld mouse sander in circular motion or back/forth. Assembly is pretty straightforward and it have 2 clamps to fit it to bench/table whilst many power tools have only one clamp provided. It’s easy to put sanding belt on (following guidelines and arrows on inside of belt) and I’ve used only 2 of them in total to finish whole table. It’s a big time saver and noise is not much louder than my mouse sander. I’ve connected output to my vacuum cleaner to reduce dust during sanding and it worked well. I’m sure I will use it again as doors and door frames need refreshing around my flat.
Great product. I’m no expert but a few hours work turned my dining table from a dull piece of wood into a lovely piece of furniture. I’d Never even used a belt sander before. Comes with plenty of belts in various grades too, so ready to use from the box
Just sanded my new outdoor table with course sanding belt then the fine before oiling – brillia
Not as powerful as I’d expected but it does the job. I would recommend this item.
Great price and does what it says on the box.
I bought this to sand 5 x 30cm bannister boards back to bare wood. It did an excellent job, and very quick and easy. A few seconds to adjust the belt tracking, and rarely needed re-adjusting. It seems quite rugged, an excellent tool I should have bought ages ago.
This is a very well built heavy duty solid unit which feels good in your hands.
The belt is easy to replace, just make sure you tighten the knob to centralise it and tighten it enough so it doesn’t move around side to side.
The sander comes with different course belts and also comes with some clamps.
You can attach a dust bag easily to collect the saw dust.
The sander has speed settings for different applications.
Make your sanding jobs much easier with this sander.

Excellent product, a good price, AND you get 10 belts with it – a bargain. Wear a mask!
Great for sanding down or stripping wood. It does have attachments for fixing to a desk, but this seems to be in an upside down position other than horizontal. Great that it comes with spare belts. Very easy to replace.
Very good sander to use, plus the fact it comes with clamps to use it as a bench sander, which really helps to shape your timber to the style you want.
The belt veers off centre easily requiring regular tracking adjustment, which can definitely be an annoyance. Overall its a solid bit of kit and worth the money
Very powerful and completely effective as a sander, particularly like being able to clamp to a worktop and use as a fixed sander. The only negative for me was the dust bag, totally useless, the zip does not work and as a result could only give 4 stars. I can’t be sure whether it was delivered faulty but when I came to empty the bag the zip would not bind despite numerous attempts and careful ‘zipping’. Given the large amount of dust the sander generates a bag is vital and I now need to find a homemade solution.
Very good firm ,customer service excellent as I had a few problems with product which they sorted out for me ,product excellent for the money j.lamb
This is a good bit of kit, Easy to use and very effective for what it is.
My sander arrived in a poor state but once I contacted Jellas they were very helpful in quickly rectifying the issue and the new sander is very good and well worth the cost. I would highly recommend the company and their products.
Good value, some belt miss-alignment at first but that’s me not the machine!
Good heavy sander so doesn’t need much pressure on it. Well built solid bit of kit. Not had it long so can’t comment on longevity but very happy with it so fa
For the price point this is decent. The fit and finish of the plastics is fine and you get a good length of cable with a UK mains plug. It is heavy but you get the two hand-grips and the speed control is right under your thumb. It’s quiet noisy though and ear-defenders are a must for extended use.
I found the belt ran true and removed material very quickly. The stands would be handy to bench-mount this.
All in all, a good machine for a reasonable price.
Decided to use mine for a few weeks before posting my assessment of it. I’m a keen DIYer, but had not previously owned a belt sander, having to borrow a mate’s very expensive one when the need arose. But you know, in comparison to the high-end one I’m used to, this performs very well indeed. I’ve used it to smooth the faces of a wooden work bench I’ve recently made, and I also found it useful for removing paint from some reclaimed hardwood timber. I thought it’s 750 Watt motor was powerful enough for my use, for those who require something a bit more punchy, Jellas produce a 1000 Watt version.
This sander usefully comes with a 3 metre power cable, with a UK three-pin plug. It’s easy enough to use – to get the most out of it, check out the many available YouTube videos on the subject. I like that the drive belt is made of rubber, so should be long-lasting. I also like that it’s very easy to change the sanding belts themselves. With the unit, you additionally get 10 extra aluminium sanding belts, 2 each of 40, 60, 80, 120 and 180 grits. When handling, it does feel as though it’s been solidly built. I can appreciate that some may be put off by its plastic construction, but you’ll find many of the far more expensive belt sanders from the ‘big name’ brands have now resorted to making similar plastic-bodied units. I really can’t fault this sander from Jellas, and believe it represents excellent value. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this product to you. Thanks a lot for reading my review, I hope you found it of use.
This is a good sander but a touch heavy.
It has a powerful motor and would be ideal for sanding large areas eg. doors, floorboards.
Price is on par for sanders in this range and the belts are readily available from the usual stockists.
Recommended.
This is a great value well put together sander. It compares well again my branded item of similar proportions and whilst being less powerful is better for it as I can be more accurate with this one. It comes with a set of belts variable speed control and a dust bag that works better than the one I have. FOr the money this is not only good value for the DIY hobbyist but likely to be getting the big boys to look over their shoulder.
Perfectly adequate for the price. For the casual diyer more than capable. Belt wanders a bit but easy to correct.
This is a good solid all rounder and for the money is a good quality budget belt sander. The body is solid and easy to hold, the 750w motor is plenty powerful enough to use on hard wood and did not slow when I applied pressure. The dust extraction is ok but it does create a lot of dust that escapes, to be fair though all sanders do.
Started with this on the gate outside then moved to a table and I enjoyed using it, the clamp release is easy on the belt, lining up takes some practice but is simple enough and can be adjusted with a knob.
You can tell that it’s a budget sander but it’s actually really good, good set of instructions and there’s nothing flimsy about it.
It’s much better than both the own brand or cheaper sanders and it performs better than my Bosch lower end sander. I don’t think you’ll get much better for the money.
I make a stuff from pallet wood and do a lot of sanding. It’s the only part of pallet wood projects that I really don’t enjoy, so anything that speeds up the process is very welcome. Previously I’ve been using a quarter sheet sander or a flap disk. The latter are great as they strip the wood very cleanly, but the downside is that you can only work on a very small area at a time. A belt sander on the other hand, has less finesse but sands at a very quick pace, and with coarse grit paper can be used to level uneven planks very quickly too.
Despite being rated at just 750 Watts, I found this belt sander surprisingly powerful. My first project was sanding a pallet wood table that had become stained with epoxy, the 80 grit whipped the epoxy off in literally a few seconds, then a 180 grit belt renewed the smooth finish I’d previously had on the top. The job was completed in about a minute.
Belt changing is very simple, just lift a lever which loosens the guide, slide off the old belt, slide on the new one and push the lever back. Whilst there’s an adjuster to ensure the belt is running straight, I found it wasn’t needed, the belt was running true immediately after replacement.
The sander is well made and quite weighty, which is a good thing as like all belt sanders, it does have a tendency to try and run away from you. Keeping a firm grip is essential, especially when applying more pressure with coarser papers.
I like the feel of it in use, it’s very comfortable to handle, and the table clamps are a nice touch. It ships with a bunch of belts in a standard size and various grips. Another positive for me is being able to use it without reference to any manual, always a sign of a good design.
The only very minor negative is the dust bag, which doesn’t achieve its aim. The only real choices are to either let the dust spread around, or attach a vacuum.
Overall, a highly capable belt sander at a good price. It will be well tested in the spring when “pallet season” opens…
So it came nicely packed in the box, with more sanding paper. There was also manual book.
The belt sander is quite powerful, aswell as you can adjust speed.
Also it has very long cord (3 meters) so its easy to use on big surfaces (like table)
Altough its quite noisy.
The quality looks really good, no damaged seen aftef all, looks really well, already started to upgrade kitchen table and I can see that there is still plenty of work, but this machine saves you hours and hours comparing if you would need to sand everything with hand.
Value looks woth if the item for me 🙂
This is both one of the best belt sanders I have used and also one of the cheapest – it really is a great sander.
In the box you get the sander itself with an 80 grit belt pre-fitted. There is around 3m of flex so you can use the sander quite a distance from the power socket. Also, inside is a dust bag (with zip to make emptying easier), adapter for connecting to a shop-vac, 9 other sanding belts (from 40 grit to 180 grit) and 2 clamps for using the sander upside down.
The sander itself has a trigger handle and a knob on the front for steadying the sander in use. The handle has a button to hold the trigger on, whilst the knob has a dial to alter the speed of the sander (from 120rpm to 400rpm).
Fitting the belts is easy – just release the belt clamp and slide the belt on. Then with the sander running adjust the yellow side knob to ensure the belt runs straight. I found it best to do this on the slowest speed and gradually adjust until the belt was true. The belts are slightly larger than some but there are plenty of different options available here on Amazon – just search for 75×533 sanding belt.
Using the sander is very simple, although the first time it is used, you may find that the sander tries to ‘run away’ and the belt pushes it forwards. Once as small amount of pressure is placed down on the sander though, it is very easy to control and sands quickly and easily. As can be seen in the photo, I have some boards covered in tar, which a normal sander has not removed. This belt sander quickly pushed through the tar into the wood itself, leaving a smooth flat finish (the boards are slightly warped too).
Overall I am very impressed with the sander. It is a budget model so is not fit for use over long periods of time, but for the average hobby user, it is ideal. If I could change one thing about it, it would be just for there to be a blow-moulded case to store it in rather than having to use the cardboard box it came in.
Used this to strip old bench, absolutely brilliant, use 40 grit first the upto 120grip fast easy brilliant finish
This comes in a fairly sturdy plain box – no carry case, just the various bits well wrapped and packed (spare sanding belts, dust bag, clamps, manual). Useful for keeping them all in one place on the shelf.
The manual is surprisingly good, with photos as well as text to help with setting up the belts tension and when changing belts required.
The sander itself is a solid, apparently well made appliance, with comfortable rubbery grips. The controls are easy to access (right handed) and it feels well balanced in use.
Like similar appliances, the dust collection bag or vacuum attachment is better than nothing but don’t expect too much from this (or indeed any other similar diy market sander).
So far this 750W model seems up to the job, for my current tasks at least, but I see that Jellas make a 900w model too which might be worth thinking about if you anticipate some heavy duty work.
I’ve not used it as a work bench so far – others seem to think it works well, so an added bonus.
It seems good value and certainly good compared with the B&Q / Screwfix own brand competitors.
This is fantastic! I use it a lot. I already own a belt sander that cost a lot more money than this, but I find myself using this more.
I actually use this with the clamps as a bench sander. It works brilliantly and is really stable. It sands even and the belt doesn’t have much movement side to side (once set up).
The plastic casing is cheap, but to be honest it doesn’t bother me. It is a great little machine and it comes with more belts, which is great!
Can’t complain at all, brilliant for the money.
This couldn’t have come at a better time. My son and I are renovating a property and were just starting stripping and cleaning the doors. The sander is a cinch to use and ergonomically well made. The actual sanding belts are a standard size and we immediately bought some finer grit ones on Amazon (180 is the finest supplied with the tool). Changing the belts is simple using the clamping lever and then adjusting the belt tracking to run centrally is easy with the adjustable knob. The machine comes with two clamps allowing you to fix it to a table if you want it to be static and use the belt as a static bench sander, though I haven’t tried that. The sander is multi-speed which is really useful and has saved us so much time. There is a dust collection bag and it works OK but doesn’t stop a lot of dust being generated outside the machine. The cable length is 3 metres, which is excellent, and gives an added degree of flexibility. Overall we are very impressed.
When it comes to belt sanders this one is one of the best I have used. Without a doubt.
The main body is 340mm long by 160mm 150mm tall made of a good, strong plastic and the grips feel a little like rubber, but firm.
It has 6 speeds (12rpm to 400rpm which are great for giving better control over the sander so that you don’t ruin the wood you’re working on.
The trigger sits on the side of the rear grip and is easily reached with your thumb, (right handed that is)
It’s a bit of a heavy beast and needs both hands to do the job properly, but this weight does help the power to smooth your wood with very little effort, and it does it much faster than I expected, comparing to other machines of this type I have used.
What I like about this belt sander is the way it can sit upside down so it doubles as a sort of bench sander. The top section, between the two handles, has 2 strips of plastic which, when the sanders is turned upside down, level off the entire machine in a worktop. They’ve even thrown in a couple of clamps to secure the machine to the worktop.
It comes with several sanding belts, 9 in the pack and one already fitter.
Fitting a new sanding belt is so simple. Pull back the lever on the right side of the machine. This narrows the gap between the 2 ends, loosening the belt. Then simply slide the old belt out and slide the new one on. Finally, push the lever back into place to stretch the belt and ends. Job done.
It has an extraction tube, which is standard, but they’ve thrown in a bag too, which measures in at about 220mm by 150mm.
The bag attaches to the tube sticking from the left year of the machine, and drags away all but the most stubbornest of sawdust.
In all, this is a fine belt sander and will not look out of place in a carpenters/joiners toolkit.
It’s strong, designed to last and does exactly what it’s supposed to, with ease.
This is very good value at the price, under 50 at the time of writing, and should prove ideal for the DIY occasional user. It’s weighty and solidly built, though it lacks the polished, fancy finish of more expensive well known brands, but does that really matter it is up to the job? And it certainly does a good job, especially when sanding on an horizontal surface, the weight of the sander lending its own helping hand here. On a vertical surface of course it needs a little more muscle from the user, but it still works fine. The tool is well-balanced, and there is no travel with the sanding belts across the runners.
It comes in a fairly substantial cardboard box (which will probably last a while if you are careful), along with the various accessories, which include a selection of sanding belts.
This heavy and powerful sander is exactly what I wanted. I am building up my workshop, having got back into woodwork projects after many years absence. I try to get a good finish and anything that helps is necessary as far as I am concerned.
This belt sander has a lot going for itself. Firstly at 750w it is powerful enough for just about any job, and being quite a good weight it feels right in the hands when sanding and shaping. Coming with 10 sanding belts is a bonus as it covers just about all needs. For me a HUGE benefit is it comes with brackets so it can be fitting to a workbench and used as a bench sander – it does this very well indeed.
This versitile sander has already become well used after just a few days use and I cannot imagine being without it. Also I have been using it to clean off rust from some old chisels, and giving a new edge – with some proper sharpening/honing they have come up like new!!! Another big bonus.
I am more than happy to recommend this belt sander, especially in its other capacity as a ‘bench sander’.
This belt sander is supplied in a branded box which contains; the sander itself, two “G” clamps to secure the sander to a bench to use as a fixed sander, a dust collection bag, a vacuum cleaner adapter suitable for 32mm/35mm vacuum cleaners. ten 76533mm sanding belts with the following grades 2xP40,2xP60,2xP80,2xP120,2xP180 and instructions. There were no carbon brushes included with mine that are mentioned in the comparison listing but not the main description. There is also a warranty card offering a 24-month guarantee.
This is well balanced and compact for a belt sander with an ample 750watt motor. There is also a 1000watt offering from the same company for a modest premium but this will be fine for most applications. I used it on a tabletop I was making out of pallet wood and it had plenty of power and produced a smooth finish. It is quite noisy in use but most of the dust was collected in the dust bag which was easy to empty.
The sander is fitted with a generous 3M cord with a moulded UK plug and is C E marked. One belt is already fitted but you need to run the motor off-load to ensure it is centred and to get the correct tension. The tension is adjusted via the yellow knob on the side and I found this was fairly easy to set up. It has an ABS plastic body with rubberised handles. The motor has 6 speeds from 120rpm to 400rpm which should cover most requirements and had plenty of power when sanding my pallet wood. The versatility of being able to use it as a bench sander for edging or shaping wood is a bonus although I have not tried this
Overall this is an effective belt sander at a very reasonable price which is ideal for jobs where extra power is needed.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. This 750 watt belt sander is a budget model retailing at 49.99 with a 5% discount voucher valid until the end of December 2020. The quality of the plastic moulding of the body isn’t to the standard one would expect from a premium model, it’s a bit crude, but functional nonetheless: simply something a buyer should be aware of. In operation the sander is well balanced in the hand and well insulated from excess vibration, though it is rather noisy.
It comes with a fitted UK plug, a pair of clamps to allow the sander to be inverted and used as a bench sander, a dust collection bag and an adapter to allow connection to a vacuum/extraction system, along with a selection of sanding belts.
It took me a little while to get the sanding belt correctly aligned on the machine but once in place I found it to be quite powerful enough for paint removal and for smoothing some rough timber. It has a lockable trigger and speed adjustment, both of which work satisfactorily but again a little less smoothly than a premium brand item.
I think this belt sander is good value for what you pay for it: it would suit a hobbyist/DIY person very well, but if you used your tools daily you’d probably want something built to a higher standard (but you’d pay twice the price).
Overall a good budget belt sander for a reasonable price.
