We have a gas stove/oven which we use frequently and I have been hesitant to simply cover the knobs. I took them off, but they ended up getting misplaced or were hard to put back on. I crossed fingers and ordered these and I love them. They are clear so they aren’t an isor. The spin so my toddler can’t grip them to remove. You can open them with one hand and they stay on so you don’t have to worry about where to put them, or if they get put back on at all. Best part, super inexpensive!

We installed these on our stove in January. The installation was very easy and the product has held up well. Unfortunately, one of the covers had a small piece break off and no longer closed properly. I contacted customer service and they sent out a replacement immediately. I’m not sure what caused the piece to break, but I am happy that it was resolved easily.

I would not hesitate to purchase from this company again!

Super easy to install, easy enough to open to use (no keys or difficult latches or anything) yet still totally secure when the little one tries to get them off. Highly recommend if you use your stove frequently but have a curious, trouble-seeking little one.

Good buy. My wife and son accidentally turned the gas knobs while cleaning and did not notice the gas smell. Luckily I did on both occasions and decided I need to do something for or safety. I purchased this product and haven’t had an incident. I highly recommend this product for your safety.

The black terror managed to jump on the gas stove at midnight and ignite it, in a poor attempt to kill us all in our beds. But what he didn’t bet on was the clicking sound of the ignition would wake me! We foiled his plan and turned the oven off!

Put these things on the knobs and he cannot do it again. He will have to devise a new plan of death!

Popped right on and work great.

Excellent product. Easy for an adult to open front of cover to turn stove dial but not for a child. My 18 month old grandson can reach these and has not been able to open to access the stove dial.

I had to remove the ring behind my stove knob and put it inside the knob cover first. Since these rings have an adhesive on the back I had to be very careful when prying off not to scratch the stove. Once I did that they went on very well.

hey fit perfectly for my stove. very easy to “install” (they just snapped on) My husband has Alzheimers and this product protects him (and the house) by keeping him from trying to cook or boil water by himself

Great little knob covers. My toddler had started trying to mess with the knobs on my stove so I got these before she managed to turn it on. You have to pull the knob off, put the cover on, and then put the knob back on. Easy to get on, and if my toddler pulls the cover off, the knob will come off too, making her unable to turn the stove on.

I put these on the knobs to my gas stove and oven so my toddler can’t turn to gas on. I purchased something similar for when my older kid was a risk to accidentally killing us all, but the covers we purchased weren’t big enough to cover the knob to the oven, and the knobs that did fit had broken by the time #2 came along. So I was very happy to find these that fit ALL the knobs.

I love these! They are so simple yet do the job! We have a gas stove at our new place and my 21 month old can very much reach the nobs and thought it was funny to turn them when we weren’t looking…I’m not trying to get my place blown up here! We were having to completely remove the nobs any time we weren’t cooking, but then you have little sharp unsightly silver sticks protruding out, not pretty, but better than getting blown up lol. With that being said, I purchased these and they were an instant life saver, they don’t make it inconvenient to cook, in fact, very easy and I know my house is safe and my toddler too! On top of that (BONUS!) they came with four corner protectors which worked out perfectly. They were clear and soft and definitely did the trick to help our active little guy stay that much more safe! So I’d say it’s a win win. Would definitely recommend and would definitely purchase again!

The “easy to use” received 4 stars as it’s a bit big for our knobs (understand that it’s a one-size) so it gets in the way of easily opening/closing our oven. Everything else is awesome about them. It’s easy/convenient enough for us to adjust the knobs but tough enough that the kids cannot open them.

These are wonderful! We actually bought them because our dog likes to counter-surf and has turned on the burners before… scary! So when we started giving him the free reign of the house, we wanted to ensure he didn’t blow it up! They would work well for kids too! Easy to take off and on to clean, too.

I am so pleased with this purchase. We just switched from electric to gas stove, and I was worried my small grandchild would mess with the stove knobs. And of course, she has, but these great covers have kept her from turning on/of.

Effective toddler proofing. But hangs too low over my over so I have to take all the knobs off to cook. Not my favorite.

They spin around the knobs. The plastic is great being clear but it isn’t very thick and I feel like if I squeeze to hard it will crack. It does keep little fingers from turning in the burner.

Son accidentally bumped a nob on the stove and turn on gas one evening. Caught it early but wanted to take precautions. First time that has happened in the 3years we have lived here.
    Pros: Easy to put on
Kids investigated them when first put on but have no longer showed interest
Cons: Would like a type adhesive to keep it in place but it’s not really a hinderance except for my husband on occasion when it’s spinned in a different direction to ope

These clear stovetop knob covers are perfect! I have a gas stove and the knob accidentally got turned by the kids one day causing gas to leak in the house. Thankfully, we figured it out and quickly aired out the house before anything bad happened. I bought these and they have kept that from happening again. I am very happy with this purchase.

These work wonders for Labradors who like to counter surf. I came home to find my gas range on due to her trying to get to the baking sheet I’d left overnight. As I turned off the flames, and threw away my burnt pan and melted spatula, I ordered these knob covers. They arrived the next day and thus far we have been fire free. 5 stars from me. Probably only 1 or 2 from her.

No kids, but cats and dogs … cats that constantly walk across the stove … and dogs that counter / stove surf. I purchased based on reviews and love the product. I like that they are clear, looks good against stainless steel and they are very very east to install – didn’t have to read directions … it was obvious and took about 30 seconds. I have a gas stove – I don’t push the covers to light the burner … instead, I pop the cover open — super easy to pop open and snap shut. One added bonus: less cleaning because no more splashes, grease, etc gets down into the knobs! So far so good, have only had them about a week. Will update if something changes. Yes, purchase these!

My husband has no sense of smell. When he gets items from the cupboards above the stove he does not notice that he has turned on the gas. These covers keep the gas turned off no matter which way he moves. I honestly believe they have saved us from a disaster. They are extremely easy to put on and very easy to open when I want to cook.

I purchased these because my precocious 1-year-old kept turning the stove knobs. We installed these knob covers when he was 13 months old; he is now 16-months old and these are still effective. He enjoys spinning the plastic knob covers but can’t get to the stove knobs. Make sure you follow the recommendation on the package not to let your child see you opening the knob covers! I’m sure my kid would easily figure out how to open them if he saw me doing it a few times, as they are easy to open if you know how.

Our cat had managed to fumble his way across the stove on two different occasions, using a knob as a foothold. The first time, it engaged just the ignitor so we heard the constant “click click click!”…the second time, he somehow managed to bypass the ignition portion of the dial and go straight to pumping out gas.

We bought these within minutes of discovering what had happened (nobody was hurt!). They’re clear plastic, super-easy to install, and if there’s ever a time where we become pet-less again, they’d be easy to take back off.

Highly recommend! They keep your human-babies and/or fur-babies from potentially burning down the house!

Our cat liked to turn the stove on at night… so we got these! PROBLEM solved. My only gripe is that it now makes turning on the stove slightly more difficult because my knobs are placed fairly close together and these are fairly bulky things.

My daughter figured out how to turn on the stove and we were not excited… I found these on Amazon and decided to give it a go. They fit perfectly over our knobs and are easy for us to open/close while giving our daughter an impossible challenge. We’ve been using them daily for weeks and the clasps are still tightly closed and unwarped. Highly recommend these to parents before your kids experiment with the stove top. Hindsight is 20/20 but these will prevent future issues.

These are fantastic, and absolutely worth it! Our toddler almost started a fire in our kitchen before we realized these things exist! They pop right on and are easy for adults to use but little ones can’t figure it out. After our toddler realized she can’t open them, she completely lost interest in the stove! If you have a stove with accessible knobs for little ones, these are an absolute must have! They’re great quality, and can save you big time!

My rough little boy of two years old uses all his weight to try and pry the cabinet doors open but the 3M tape has held up very well to keep the cabinets closed. We also purchased the stove knob covers and they work perfectly. After awhile he seems to have given up trying altogether. Would definitely recommend to any parent of a child under 5.

These knob covers are just what I needed. I don’t understand why GE would design my new stove so that the knobs could so easily be turned on by bumping them. The knobs push in and release gas into the air. The knob has to be turned further for the electronic ignition to ignite the burner. So if you lean up against the stove, the knob is easily turned without knowing and gas is emitted into the air for a time before anyone will notice. Very, very dangerous. Terrible design. These knob covers are literally a life saver. I don’t know how many times I have left for work and had to turn around because I reached for something in the cupboard above the stove and wondered if I accidentally turned on the gas . These knob covers install easily after pulling off the stove knobs, pushing on the thumbprint on the cover to open the knob cover and then putting the knob cover in place and replacing the knob and closing the knob cover. When you need to use the burner, just gently push on the thumb print on the knob cover to open the knob cover and turn on the knob. Once installed, they even look like they belong there, not detracting from the look of the stove.

Got these after first set became unavailable. These are the same style, just snap on over door knob which is simple. To actually tuen the door Knob, however, is a bit harder than the first set o bought. There’s something about the shape of these knobs – rounder, wider – that makes gripping the door knob through the holes more difficult. It can still be done but is more difficult for me, but still functions perfectly.

  34. Phil Hornshaw says:

Easy to install but, they do not fit tighly around the knobs. I actually have to watch for them because the oven door hits them when opening and closing it. And they are pinch to open so, since they spin freely on the knobs I have to look for the spot to pinch them and that’s a bit annoying. But,they keep the baby for messing with the knobs so I keep them on anyway.

My son hasn’t figured out how to burn down the house yet. Thank you spinny, locky stove knob thingies! You make it harder for me to cook, but that is probably because I am a kid at heart…..at least that’s what I suspect since my wife keeps calling me by my given pet name of man-child.

I thought that the material was soft, silicon like based on pics but it’s actually hard clear plastic. The covers are easy to install and work well at defeating a 1.5 yo’s hands. The frequent open and close actions make me feel like the plastic hinge or notch will eventually break but time will tell.

I love them! We got a new gas stove, and I sleep safe at night knowing that we didn’t accidentally bump the knobs or that my toddler didn’t play with them. Bought these knob covers because my cat has taken a liking to turning the stove on randomly. Easy to install, fairly easy to open. They kind of just hang and jiggle on the knobs, but it doesn’t bother me much. Didn’t come with any adhesive to keep it still. Gets the job done, anyway.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFive standard plastic knob covers for a gas range we purchased the day we bought our new stove as my almost 2yr old is interested in playing Chef. Delivery came next day. You have to open the cover, pop off the knob, slip the cover over the post and pop on the knob. One of the covers we received is hard to open so we just put that on the oven knob since we don’t use that as much as the stove top. First thing our 2yr old did was try them out and they work good.

I bought these for my stove to protect the knobs from little hands. My mother in law saw them and immediately bought a set of her own. They’re easy to use, easy to take on and off, and easy to clean. The only downside is they hang a little low off of the knob stem so the oven door hits them when it’s opened or closed. Otherwise no complaints!

These have been great to keep on our gas stove knobs. Our almost 2 year old is into everything and knowing that he can’t accidentally turn on the gas stove is one less thing to worry about. They easily snap open and shut. They do feel a little flimsy and the one thing that is a little annoying is that depending on how it is turned they can get caught when you try to close the oven underneath. You just have to lift it up slightly to get the door shut. One minor inconvenience that I can handle for a little bit of piece of mind.

This product is great at keeping a toddler from accidentally turning on the stove if it has the knobs in the front. The only issue is that they hang down a little and for my stove that’s just enough to bump on the oven door a little every time we open and close it.

This product definitely helped keep my toddler from trying to turn on the stove top/oven. However, it did scratch against the stainless steel and removed the hi/lo lettering on the stove top knobs that I used more frequently. Nonetheless, I’d rather have scratched off wording than a burnt toddler.

Are you tired of running to the stove every time your toddler is near it, and saying “No, HOT” in your sleep? When toddlers can walk they are into everything, and especially curious in touching, pushing, turning, etc. When they reach those little fingers up to the stove knob-it’s not always that difficult to turn. These safety stove covers are literally life savers. They are so easy to open and close with one hand for adult but not child. They are easily seen through while cooking and can be easily put on and removed without leaving a trace of anything or marks behind. Best child proofing ever, and you can’t beat the price!

The knob covers are pretty basic. The installation is easy: you need to take the knobs out, place the covers, and then put the knobs back to its place. They are a little bit oversized for the knobs, 4 stars because the covers move around instead of staying on its place.

This product helped keep our toddler safe in the kitchen. We had tried other brands but this one is much better quality.

-Very easy to place on knobs
    -zero damage (renter friendly)
-adults can quickly and easily open these to access the knobs
    -can be removed for cleaning
-my toddler can’t turn the stove knobs even though he tries 🙂
    -high quality material
-grandparents were able to easily use

I highly recommend these knob covers not only do they work but because of the quality they will also last.

I have a deaf cat… and no kitty stay off the stove doesn’t work, she can’t hear you. These knobs eased all my fears of her falling off the stove and knocking the button to on (yes, it happened). My worst fear was a deaf cat running around on fire. Super easy to put on and very easy to pop on and off when I need to use the stove. They’ve also worked great for visiting toddlers for those of you looking for kid proof. Cat mom approved.

These clear stove knob covers are very easy to install. There is no adhesive, you just remove the stove knob, place the plastic in the spot, and reinsert the knob. Since they don’t have any adhesive, it moves around (especially with a toddler reaching out for it), but it definitely stays closed and does its job. For the few years that we have to use these, it’s not so bad.

A five pack for my 4-knob stove means I get an extra in case one ever breaks.
The only real downside is that when they are open they interfere with closing the oven door. I did close one in the door and it came apart, but it didn’t break and was easy to snap back together.

We do not have a baby or small child in the house. I bought these for the fact that I woke up one morning with the house filled with gas. We had not even used the stove in days. One of us adults had appearantly got against the knobs and turned the gas on. I hate having gas and one day this problem will be gone. So these are a wonderful safety device even for adults because we get in a hurry and make mistakes but this kind of mistake could be deadly. I recommend these for all gas ovens and all ages. You just can’t be safe enough around gas.

These knob covers are a bit large for my oven and they bang a bit when I open/close the door. However, they keep the knobs secure and 100% safe which is exactly what I need them to do. I have a 14 month old who is getting in to everything and one of our biggest concerns was the oven. We bolted the oven to the wall, secured the oven door, and these knob covers give us peace of mind that she won’t accidentally turn the gas burner on when we are not looking.

The knobs have child safety features and are easy to open/close.

They’ve been a lifesaver with my extremely curious 2 year old, who always learns the hard way for everything. I no longer need to worry about him messing with my stove knobs! My stove has the gas knobs on the front face at a 45 degree angle, exactly at hip height (I’m tall). I installed these covers to prevent myself and my kids from inadvertently turning on the gas (which happened several times) by bumping into the knobs. They did not come with any adhesive, so I left them dangling on the knobs, but they work fine. I would recommend them for protection from kids or adults. Thy are easy to open when I use the stove.

I’m a real mom with a real two-and-a-half-year-old that is the size of a four-year-old, (and a brand new gas stove.) These are universally-sized, installed in under a minute, and my Tiny Suicide Machine, (read: the toddler,) cannot open them. Even if we were to leave them slightly ajar, it would delay her long enough and cause enough noise that we would be alerted that she was up to something.

These are super easy to install and my kid can’t open them (but he does enjoy spinning them so it took some adjusting on my part). They do slide in circles and it can make opening them quickly a challenge sometimes. But worth the price to baby proof our gas range.

We recently moved into a home with a gas stove. Having 2 toddlers, we were worried about the gas knobs. We ordered these, and they were exactly what we needed. Installation was simple, just pull the knob off, slide the guard on, put the knob back on and close the guard. That’s it!

We’ve had these for about 2 weeks and so far it has prevented a few curious hands from turning the knobs. That right there is a win. The 5 pack is perfect. We only have 4 knobs, but having an extra is great!

My 96 year-old dad lives at home and he has an older gas range. The knobs are loose and easy to move to an on position just by brushing past. Without moving the knob to the ignite position, gas comes out without a flame, and it’s easy to not notice that the knob was moved. We put up signs in the kitchen saying – CHECK THE STOVE – because it happens so frequently. THESE COVERS stop anyone from accidentally turning on the stove. They’re great.

These are doing exactly what they are suppose to be doing keeping my 2 and 3 year old grandchildren from messing with the knobs on my gas stove!
Then only annoying part is when ur cooking multiple things and using ur oven if u leave the caps open they block opening ur oven. So I have to shut each one even when using them to use the oven. But I have no idea how this could be fixed. So it’s worth the extra effort.

  63. Anonymous says:

The only reason I knocked off a star is because the cover gets in the way of the oven door closing so we have to lift the covers up to close the oven door. My son has been able to pull the cover (and actual knob) off a couple times too, but that’s more an issue with the knob rather than these covers.

Great and easy to use product. Bought these for my curious toddler who just realized there are knobs that turn on the stove! They are quick and easy to install/apply and I like that I can pop them open to turn on the stove and not have to remove them entirely. Haven’t noticed any issues with them heating up with the oven or stove on. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with small curious children as they are baby proofing their home.

The first set I got from another company were not large enough to cover the oven knob and the others just barely covered and were so hard to open. I hated them. So I got these and what a difference- they fit with room to spare, and a toddler will never get them open. They are very easy for an adult to open to access the stove knob. Good idea when you have a toddler who is like a magnet to everything that is inherently dangerous.

I bought these because I live in apartment and most apartments thrive on small kitchens to where there is very little room between a stove and a refrigerator. Often times I would open the fridge and bend over to fetch things out and my wonderful back region would somehow turn the knobs on the gas stove on. Since getting these I do not have to worry about accidentally turning on the gas stove. I used to find myself running back in the house just to check that i didn’t turn them on accidentally while running around doing stuff before work. I am glad i do not have to do this anymore. I can also be sure my two pups who are curious wont accidentally turn the knobs on the stove either. The only thing I can complain about is that the covers, even when opened obscures the temperature level indicators on the stove. The plastic is clear but the shape of the plastic makes it hard to make out what temperature it is set to.

My oven in my new rental was extremely easy to turn on, guests have leaned on my oven and the knob slightly turned, my 3 year old son was also drawn straight to it, making my anxiety awful anytime anyone was around my oven! These are easy to install, pop the knob off and click them on and done! They protect it nicely and I am extremely relieved I can relax a bit more! I plan on leaving them for the next tenant as it’s a potential life saver! Couldn’t find it stores, thank you so much!

It’s a little inconvenient to open up to turn on and off the stove but it is definitely effective. My 11 month old was turning them and this put a stop to that right away. My stove only needed 4 so I used the extra one on my dryer, he liked to turn the knob on that too. These are easy to put on, clean, and keep my baby safe.

I kept banging in to the knobs on my stove and turning the gas on. My cats climbed the stove and messed with them too. These were easy to install. The caps open easy enough for an adult. I like to leave the caps open while I cook and then close them when I am done and turn the burner off, because I have accidentally left my burners on and needed a signal to check them. I am happy with this purchase.

Does the job! I like that the knobs are clear so you can see if the burner is on, or what the heat of the burner is set to. And the clear design is just prettier to look at. They click closed pretty nicely, and I actually have to grib and pull with a little force when I need to open it. The one-year-old will reach for one and it just spins. Good preventative for now. The only thing I dislike is they get in the way when I need to open/close the oven, but that isn’t a big enough problem to bother me.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe other day I broke a house rule by setting a box full of groceries on my glass top stove unknowingly and accidentally pushing the burner control knob with my body just enough to turn the burner on to high. I walked away for a few minutes to take care of something else and thank God my wife and my brother smelled the smoke before things got really out of control. The box bottom burned pretty good but catastrophe avoided! This is not the first time this stove has accidentally been turned on by leaning up against the control knobs. Yes, you do have to push them in to turn them on but even so this “almost fire” prompted me to purchase Jool’s Clear Stove Knob Covers. They work as advertised and hopefully future accidents will be avoided. Toddlers can be dangerous but so can adults! I was looking for a way to make my stove safer and these seem to be the answer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son was reaching for the knobs as soon as he was able to walk and talk enough. These covers did the trick by making it impossible to turn the knob without opening it which should be and is difficult for a 13 month old. The only improvement I would make on this product is this and perhaps this is just me but because of the way the logo is embossed on the front of it, sometimes from a short distance it looks like the knob is in the on position. To be fair the logo is not colored and is transparent although to a lesser degree than the body of the cover. The horizontal writing on it makes it look like the stove knob is not vertical in the off position from about 10 or so feet away. I would suggest reducing the size of the logo to one of the corners. Other than that false illusion, which again could be just me and my many OCDs, this is perfec

I don’t have any babies around the house, but with two very active kitties, I was afraid they might accidentally turn on a range burner. The knobs are ULTRA easy to install and look fine. I can’t address their durability, as I’ve had them only a few weeks. I don’t routinely fasten them because they don’t seem to snap closed an open too well. I just make sure the hinge is at the top and they work fine. Bonus: they’re easier to keep clean than the uncovered knobs.

These were really easy to install and do the trick. My toddler went from being obsessed with turning the gas stove on to not caring at all (because now he doesn’t get a reaction out of us!)
The only down side is the ease of use. You have to open the plastic to turn the knob, but I don’t know what a workaround would be. What if the material were more like a silicon where you can pinch it to turn the knob on?

I love this product and it serves it purpose spot on. I would buy them again if I needed to. Great price. My only dislike is how to open it. It is a bit hard until you use it more then its a little easier its like you have to break it in the pushing mechanism. Other than that great.

These are a bit smaller than the ones I ordered initially that hung down too low preventing our stove door from opening. Very easy to install, easy to open to use the stove and it has a simple design on the front which is nice. I would recommend these knobs for child proofing, pet proofing or general safety.

Works perfectly. My son was getting very interested in the stove knobs, so we purchased these and put them on and he immediately went to try and play with them, but as soon as he realized he could no longer turn the knobs, he stopped and moved onto something new. Good size, doesn’t get in the way of the oven door. Also very easy to use. Great deal for 5, as my stove has 5 knobs. Most packs came with 4 and were more expensive.

We just moved to a new location where my children have access to the stove knobs and that was a problem for me. I reasserted for a solution and came up with these knob covers and I order these in. The arrived in two days undamaged to our new home. I immediately installed them and I am super happy with it! It is very easy to open and close when using the stove. There is no need in taking them off and on when using the stove, they just stay on which is great.
Very happy and will recommend to friends and family.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these after I accidentally bumped into my oven and didn’t notice the gas turned on. I’m really happy with them and how they can prevent that from happening again as well as defer my toddler from twisting the knobs. They don’t stick to the oven, but they don’t need to.

The only thing I’m not crazy about is the company name and “baby product” being embossed on the front. I’d rather they be completely clear, but that’s just me. They get the job done and I’m glad I made the purchase.

Easy to use, keeps you and your family safe!

Served their purpose as little man is now able to reach the knobs and turn them on. The only issue I have and it could be because of the distance between my knobs and oven door is that I have to push the covers up when closing the door. The other day I didn’t and one popped off and fell into the oven. Thank goodness it didn’t melt!

The product is well made and the hard plastic appears to be very durable. The installation was simple enough but I needed to add an additional overlay to prevent the cover from shifting. The center hole is larger than the knob so the cover would move around. I cut an additional piece of sheet plastic so that the knob would fit snug up to the cover and not move around.
    Thank you

I needed a fast solution for my new gas oven. I have three young ones 5 and under and they’re all curious. I keep the opening at the bottom so the kids are further deterred from attempting to mess with the knobs. A far better solution than my mom’s of removing the knobs. I definitely recommend them.

Hi, we use these for my mother who has dementia. It’s allowed her to stay in her home while keeping everyone from worrying that she might hurt herself. Her nurse and myself can open them easily to cook her a meal, but they’re enough of a deterrent for her not to use the stove when she’s tired and likely to make mistakes. Really great product!

My German Shepard mix loves to jump on my stove. Once he jumped and thankfully I was there to notice that he had turned it on due to the sudden smell of gas but since then I have been terrified he would do it again without me being there. We have been training him not to jump slowly; thankfully this product allows me to do so without worrying that my dog would burn down the house!

I love these! I do not have kids but my stove is an island insert. People constantly talk across the island and often lean on the stove (small kitchen). And so they were constantly hitting the knob and turning on the stove. After something melted on the burner I looked for a solution. These are perfect. Easy to open and close. Not too distracting from the look of the stove. The oven door hits them if they’re in the open position but it opens and it’s not a big deal.

    Excellent product.

My knobs can be accidentally turned on by leaning against the stove. Ive done this a few times and didn’t realize it until I smelled gas. These knobs covers keep, the knobs off until I turn them on. Very easy to put on. The only problem I have is once I open the cover to light the fire, I have to be sure the cover is not opened toward the next cover or it is hard to turn the knob. But that is to be expected and is really a slight problem. Safety first! Also, since the covers are clear, I can see if the knob is turned on without having to open the cover.
Overall I’m very pleased with their product. I’ve o lay had it a few days so I’m. It sure how durable these will hold up. The material didn’t look very heavy duty, but so far they are great. So glad I got these.

I bought these clear covers for my LG 5 burner range. The LG range has extra large knobs and the diagonal positioning of the knobs makes it easy to accidentally turn the gas on when putting items into the OTR microwave (speaking from experience…). After doing some research and thanks to another reviewer who took a picture of these clear covers being large enough to fit over the large LG knobs, I purchased this product. So far it does the job. I’m a little worried that over time and use of squeezing the plastic to open, the clasp that connects the top and bottom pieces will crack. However, these are inexpensive to replace anyways and so far they are an answer to an even larger safety concern. For now, we just don’t clasp the covers.

Our electric stove knobs are located at the front. These safety caps are super easy to install. Positioned the flip down notch pointing up which majes them very easy for an adult to open. If toddler tried to fiddle with the knobs, the safety caps just spin – toddler is not able ‘turn’ any of the knobs.
I took 1 star away because there is no hinge on the cap. The plastic cap bends open and close, and I am not sure how many times you will be able to use these before the cap breaks off from repeated bending.
Good solution for front knob electeic stove. Hope they improve the ‘hinge’ design.

These stove knob covers have done a great job of keeping little hands from turning on the stove burners. I like that they don’t require adhesive-you just pull of the knobs, insert the knob covers, put the knobs back on and close the covers. They’re a little annoying in that when one is open it blocks proper opening and closing of the oven door, but still well worth it for safety.

We haven’t tested these yet as far as how they hold up to the heat in the stove. We did attach them to see how they’d look when the time comes that will have to use them. They were easy to install and honestly easy to open for use as well. They seem to work great and are an awesome idea for child proofing. Overall we are very happy with the purchase as they look clean with the kitchen decor and appliances.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWe have a 40-year-old commercial Wolf range. The knobs are very difficult to pull off, making installation of these knob covers doable, but not exactly easy. Once on, the configuration of the stove front — it flares 45 just under the knobs — means if you replace the knobs securely — that is, push them all the way back on — they are so tight and the knobs are so close together that one can still turn the knobs inside by turning the covers. The solution is to replace the knobs somewhat loosely. Then they serve their intended purpose. As for durability, we haven’t really used them yet, so cannot offer an opinion on that. These are not for child-proofing, but for cat-proofing. At the end of the day, I think these will work.

My in-laws who are elderly would always lean against the stove top, (short like me), to use microwave or clean stove and press against the knob and turn on burner unknowingly and house would smell of gas! These covers did not work for our stove. It may be universal but there are always a few that won’t work. Customer service for jool baby had contacted me to know how I liked my purchase and within minutes of emailing them to say it didn’t fit they contacted me back. Golden Review Award: 111 From Our UsersOkay. So. Let’s get one thing straight. I’m a real mom. With real children. I paid real money for this, I’m not being reimbursed, and I have high expectations when it comes to my children’s safety.

My $10 safety gate failed the moment my little boy learned how to climb over it! I decided it was time to really get down to business with making my home safe for my babe when he started the stove and burned a pan of food that was cooling off after dinner.

Not only am I 10000% impressed that such an affordable product WORKED, but I’m pleased with the fact that they look good on my stove! Baby proofing doesn’t have to be ugly. Shoutout to the seller for including 5 covers instead of 4. I have a 5th knob for my oven, and some people even have a 5th burner.

Very easy to install. Popped our counter top knob off, and enclosed with the cover. Little one can only reach the first two, so we didn’t put the other three on yet, but we will as she grows. Just be careful to measure how close your knobs are together as these will certainly add width. Not a problem for our setup. Now when the little one messes with the knobs, these plastic covers just spin around, and when we want to use the front burners, we just pop them open and turn the dial.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersFirst, thank you for the pack of FIVE (as we have 5 burners). Children have not been able to outsmart these in the week or so hat we’ve had them (unlike doorknob covers, le sigh), but I find them easy enough to quickly flip open and closed with one hand myself. Was scared they would melt with the heat of the gas flames and burners in close proximity (our knobs are on top of the stove, right in the middle of all the burners), but they’ve not shown any signs of that yet- even after being exposed to “high” heat many times over the past week. Make sure when you open these, you turn the cover AWAY from the burner (caught husband just in the nick of time). Lastly, these are quite attractive and food splashes clean up pretty easily.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersWe love our gas range. We also love our house, cats, dogs, and all that good stuff. We also happen to have a person with reduced mobility and no sense of smell in the house. He bumped into the stove on the weekend, turning on the gas. We caught it quickly this time, but figured better safe than sorry.

The knobs on my range are deeper than many other knob covers, which is why I picked this particular set of covers, and they’re perfect. They open easily enough to not be an inconvenience, and don’t obstruct my oven door. That said, they are large. Check your knobs and their placement on your appliance to make sure they’ll work for you. If they don’t, it’s hardly a failure of the product, it’s just a compatibility issue. Personally, I think they’re great.

    Not just for childproofing

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersWe installed these on our gas stove because our 1 year old thinks it’s funny to play with the knobs on the gas stovetop. We have caught him turning the knobs past ignite, so the gas just comes out (filling up the house, if allowed to). So we felt like we had to do something because he’s fast and it’s something we could easily miss. These shipped immediately, arrived undamaged, and were as-pictured.

I should have measured the knobs on our stove and compared the dimensions. While these knob covers do their job, they make it very difficult to open the oven part of the stove. The door opens downward, and the 4 knobs block/catch the door whenever I’m opening it or closing it. It is very difficult to open with these things on it. I guess that’s the price we pay for the security of knowing that our 1 year old won’t mess with the gas stovetop and unwittingly blow up our house.

Aside from the sizing of these knob protectors, the sellers of this item are review-beggars. I understand Amazon’s ranking algorithm is ultimately encouraging this bad behavior, but the sellers will email you pestering you to review the product. Here’s my review, please leave me alone now.
