Love the battery level display, love the rain delay function and these are good irrigation timers but 1 of the 6 that I have bought so far is faulty so have just throw it away after only a few months use. It would be great if the rain delay could be programmable for more than just 1 day of delay. I hope the remaining 5 timers all work as they should do!

I bought seven of these units to replace units from a major brand, as I have a large garden. They are easy to program and more efficient / flexible with the watering durations. My only gripe, and it happened twice this week, Amazon delivered the items without an envelope, and this particular box was opened and left open by other tenants at my flat. Why should everyone know what you bought? More ‘ save the planet’ excuses rather than a respect for privacy and protection from prying eyes. Not happy Amazon.

We have been using cheap timers for some years, you know the ones, roundish with 2 dials to set duration and frequency. They generally last between 1 and 3 years but after that they fail. We have now invested in this brand of timer and they work faultlessly. No more fiddling with batteries or cleaning terminals to get them to work. They shut down the screen into “sleep” mode and also have a battery warning light. As our garden has expanded we now need one more timer, and yes it will be one of these. The only advice I would give to users is to keep the instructions somewhere safe.

It took me a few goes to understand the timer and when I wanted to use water with no timer. Now that I’ve done it a few times it’s easy to use. Just follow the instructions in the booklet, it will make sense. I used it for my plants when I was away on holiday, 2 weeks, and I was very happy with the results. I’m still using it in a corner of the garden so I don’t have to water that space. Wish I’d got one years ago

The only drawback is that there is pressure loss between a direct tap connection and connecting your hose through this device.
Otherwise, it’s perfect. Ran 25m soaker hoses and rectangular and circular sprinklers off a 4-in-1 adaptor that connected to the output of this via a HozeLock Pro connector. Gave them an hour every few days in the morning and the tomatoes seemed to love it. I’m in East Anglia where it doesn’t rain much so regular watering is a must to avoid getting split fruits.
Manual and delay features are great to navigate going away but would be nice if there were more customisation settings for a longer time period. But it’s so cheap that maybe that is perhaps asking too much of whatever micro-controller they put inside. It lasted a year (and counting) without a battery recharge through record breaking temperatures (at both ends) so I’m one very happy bunny.
Great timer at a reasonable price.
My last timer (Hozelock AC1) took those big C batteries, and required the entire back to be unscrewed to put them in. It was therefore a huge relief to find this takes bog standard AA batteries, and it’s super easy to open the battery compartment. The rubber seal forms a tight fit and looks like it will be waterproof. Easy to program, the instructions are clear and straightforward. Fitted and tested it this afternoon and it seems to be functioning perfectly. No complaints so far, I’ll amend my review if it suddenly stops working!

I needed to put a sprinkler system in as we had recently had a landscape company in to do our back garden and they laid some new turf. As we was going away for a few weeks and wasn’t going to be in this product is amazing and has done wonders and does exactly what it says on the tin. Definitely recommend.

It does what it says: a reliable one channel watering timer. If you want to water outside the schedule you have to disconnect the system. So can be a problem for some.

Great Time
We bought this and a sprinkler in an attempt to save our plants whilst we were away on holiday during the recent hot weather. It was super easy to set up although a little fiddly attaching it to the thread on the tap but I got there in the end. It was easy to program and most importantly did its job. After 2 weeks away we got back to plants that were still alive and that were thriving !
As I said this does what it says on the tin and I’d 100% recommend this.

We needed to replace our Hoselock water timer and thought it was time for a change. Looked around and this Kazella water timer had pretty good reviews. So far it has done the job extremely well.

I have today sent back to Amazon the DEWENWILS Sprinkler Timer, that I purchased 2 weeks ago.
This timer is absolute rubbish, impossible to ,stop leaking, mainly because of the rubber grip ring were you screw it onto the tap spins when you only apply moderate pressure. So you can’t tighten it sufficiently stop the timer leaking from the tap

I saw most reviews complaining about the battery life so I got really good batteries just for this and it’s been over a month and the battery gage is still reading full.
I like that the manual water setting is also timed so I can go move the sprinkler, set it and forget it. Or when I’m hand watering it keeps me disciplined.
The only thing I wish I could change is being able to set a start and stop time for the programs
For example: start at 5am and run for 15 min every hour until 10 am
To be honest I haven’t played around with it enough to see if there is a way to make that happen but doesn’t seem that way.
Still believe this timer works great and better than the more expensive ones at the store
BRILLIANT, more than one use of watering......
Took a gamble with this little smart device. I am struggling with wildlife attacks on my pond. I bought 2 automatic water jets to repel a Heron. They work well but its ruddy annoying getting soaked every time i walk in the garden. So, i did some research looking to adapt or make something as i’m an Electrician to act as a timer to turn the water on and off. Was surprised to see this advertised. Found this advertised for watering but appeared to have the functionality i wanted. Actually its brilliant! With the timer you cannot have it endless which at first i thought was not good, but after thinking more about it i thought actually YES this is a good idea. If the device was to go into fault or fail the water could run forever and you end up with a flood and huge water bill. The maximum time setting is 11hr and 59 mins. No problem, you simply add more timers on your phone app and duplicate the time settings. So now i have 7 timers running back to back leaving it energised from 11pm to 6am. Worked on the Heron have it on camera……Now i don’t get wet going into the garden during the day 🙂
Easy to set up. Battery operated no wires to fiddle with. You need to plug in a blutooth adaptor to your domestic socket. Mine is 6m away in the kitchen. Install the app and away you go. You can set loads of timers on and off. Manually over ride it. Does what i want it to and would recommend it. No problems with loosing connection it just works i have forgotten about it. Only complaint which isn’t really a complaint……I wish it had longer battery life. Battery life isn’t bad and if you want compact you have less battery power. Can’t have everything you want in life. This is the only reason i won’t give it 5*, but well worth 4*

Two days before going away, my yellow branded watering timer died. Forced to find an alternative brand that could be delivered next day, I chose this with it’s orange fitting. If you are familiar with clocks and timers that require a press of a button to move through the settings, you will find this a doddle. The time settings are much more precise, and I am very pleased with it … my plants were still alive when I returned home so that has to be good. The manual over-ride is great … I occasionally have to use my sprinkler(), I like that it can be set to water for a precise number of minutes then shut off, it works for me as I often get side-tracked. If you need a watering timer this is a great addition to the garden.

I bought this to replace a cheap analogue dial one I bought last year, the old one leaked, was hard to set and looked ugly, this doesn’t leak, is easy to set, and look pretty good, just what I needed.
Works well but not intuitive to program
Once it’s set up it’s fine. I have my timer set to come on twice a day. It’s fine setting up the time and one timer but adding any more needs the instructions. It has a manual override but again the instructions are needed to set how long you want the manual override to come on for. Once you get used to it then it’s fine.

I bought this in conjunction with a Hozelock Micro Irrigation kit to water the large pots and Hayrack in front of my house. I chose this timer after seeing another Amazon reviewer who had disassembled one to check the build quality. It certainly does seem to be sturdily made. There’s a plethora of timing options but it’s all pretty simple to set up and even overide if required. I also like the rain detection sensor which I tested and it works. The Hozelock micro kit comes with an adapter that screws into the top (tap) fitting on this timer which means a) you don’t need to have the timer attached to the tap, you can locate it wherever you want and b) you can snap the hose on and off for use with other things (jet washer etc.) which is convenient.
My only gripe is that there is no physical security option for theft prevention, mine is at the front of the house and visible to the street, and it looks ‘attractively valuable’. I have cable tied mine to a pipe but it would be nice to see some kind of security ‘ring’ for a lock, or the ability to screw the timer down?

Had used for over a month now and it’s never gone wrong, unsure if the battery indicator works correct as I used new batterys but it said they were nearly dead, still working a month later though! Great value especially with the rain sensor which has worked no problems
So easy to set up
Used to water pot plants while away on holiday. Very easy to instal and by far the easiest timers to program I have come across. Very simple to override the timed program. At first the connection to the water tap leaked badly, but adding the brown washer (supplied) gave a really firm and dry seal. Overall, very pleased.

I have used a number of water computers over the years to keep the plants in my greenhouse hydrated. This has got to be the easiest unit I’ve ever programmed, although I accept my requirements to have it running twice a day for twenty minutes are fairly simple. Time will tell how robust it is, which I will update in a future review.

Easy to programme
Bought 4 to replace the cheaper types of timer with no LCD screens… which, only last a couple if seasons before they begin to fail… which can (and have) distress our hanging basket and window box displays.
They are easy to programme and the display screen tells you exactly what you’ve done.
Early days but they look solid and well made and I’m hopeful.

Easy to set and fit replacing Hoselock unit. Worked while away on holiday and continues to work and water the garden. To be honest it’s set and I don’t mess with it. It comes on twice a day and that’s all I ask.

First one was a bit faulty in that it leaked from the body, bought another which is fine needed a better o ring to be effective seal. will use the faulty one when I have sealed it with mastic (couldn’t be bother to send back for replacement)

Works well. A bit fiddly to set up and esp once installed as it is of course necessary to be able to view the screen directly – not easy when my hose connection if only 3′ off the ground. But a good product and has worked reliably for 4 months now. Rain sensor works by conductivity so any inadvertent drips of tap water onto the sensor will mean the unit will not operate until the water has evaporated. Good product. A bit pricey but it does what it says
Easy to read digital water timer and quite well made.
Needed a new digital timer for my microbore watering system. I wanted to get system working as going on holiday and had various pots and baskets to get watered. The Kazeila was perfect for the job. Easy to set up and read and quite well made too.
Did what I needed it to
I bought this to continue watering my lawn whilst I was away for two weeks in July. The system was easy to set up, I had a few issues with drip leak from the threaded connector, but a bit of PTFE tape sorted that. Easy to override the timer to manually water when required. The built in rain sensor is a great function and automatically pauses the timer until it is dry again and just resumes the program. My only gripe is the LCD screen has gotten a burn what looks like an ink stain on the lower left hand side. Considering it is connected and pretty much left to do its thing. It’s barely 3 months old so wouldn’t expect that. But it still does everything it’s supposed to do and is still readable. Would recommend overall

Great holiday watering assistant.
Perfect to water my plants and vegetables when away for a week. Plants and vegetables thanked me as it was a heatwave!. My investment in my plants and veg would have been a disaster. Thank goodness I got this. It has a rain sensor too, which helps minimise waste on water.

Absolutely fantastic. Wanted to try a unit that would water our pot plants whilst we went away for a few days during a heatwave week. We collected the pots together and left centrally in the garden. Set the timer for watering 7am and 7pm for 15 minutes each day. Brilliant unit and very cheap. Worked superbly. Easy to set and easy to bypass to manual leaving the unit on the tap.
Thread can be tricky to mount on garden tap.
All working week after initial issue with fitting it in. I had other garden accessories with same thread diameter, but this one didn’t want to fit immediately. But after I fitted it to one of adapters I had lying around fit to tap no issues. Working wery well. And easy to programm.

As my ratings indicate, this is a sturdy device that is easy to programme, if you follow the instructions (RTFM). I have been testing it under various conditions and mains pressure levels and it performs really well. I have connected it to a leaky hose now to check how it performs over an extended period of time.
A good product and good value for money, but it does have some downsides. You have to have it in programme mode in order to override it and turn the tap on. So you can’t have it not running and programme and simply turn the tap on.
Second issue is the straight through design means that if you tap is relatively close to the ground, then it can be very difficult to read the display – meaning you have to crouch down to see it. Just something to be aware of.
Well made though and it is easy to use as well.

Had hozlok a few years ago and the battery compartment got contaminated (rust). Hope this lasts longer. Has 3 programs, using 2, 1 morning & 1 night and no problems so far.
Excellent customer suppo
The water timer is easy to connect and set up, you fit a washer inside the connection to the tap, add the batteries (not supplied) and connect it to your wwter outlet system – a set of soaker hoses in my case. I had to use PTFE tape on the tap as it’s been well used, but had a water leak from the top of the unit. Following some support diagnostis from the seller a new unit was quickly shipped and this one has worked great. I have to say you can always get a faulty unit but the sellers support and response was first class. Signing off – a very satisfied customer.

I couldn’t believe how straight forward the setup was… I was, frankly, dreading it as these things can often be confusingly complicated… But this was a doddle. Easy to connect, easy to programme, easy to b*gger off for a week and not worry about the plants all desiccating… Marvellous!

Easy enough to install. As a basic model it has just one timer pattern. I set it up to water once a day and it worked. Also straightforward to water manually. Not obvious how to stop it (eg when the watering can is full) but soon learned.
A strange feature is turning the timer off also prevents you using the manual function. I’ve had to set a fortnightly one second period…

so i have bought gardena and claber timers in the past – that do exactly the same thing – havent lasted and cost 2-4 x as much
i use a gardena 6 way water distributor so need a timer that is compatible
this works perfectly does exactly the same as the other more expensive brands

Very simple to program and operate. Excellent idea for watering your garden during the day on an automatic timer. The rain delay sensor works with a light downpour and delays the watering as requested.
I have used this timer to replace a much more expensive branded one that has stopped working after 5 years.
This Kazeila Timer does exactly the same job but costs a lot less . It arrived very quickly and is intuitive to use although good instructions come with it . If available I will buy a couple more for next summer season to replace some of the older ones I am currently using because overall the Kazeila Water Times is good value and to date works very well.

The best water timer in the market currently if you want total control. You can choose any timing up to 300 minutes and choose how often if comes on, so ideal if you’re going away. Also has a manual over-ride at the touch of a button if you need instant watering. I looked at soooo many and read countless reviews before choosing this one and delighted I made the right choice!
SUMMARY:
High quality construction left me very impressed, so much so I have bought another unit to expand my system. Large clear display and big easy rubber buttons. Menu system is straight forward for anyone capable of programming a VCR or central heating timer. No leaks. Some minor caveats – see below.

The water timer is made from very durable black plastic and weight in at a hefty 410 grams. Power is supplied by 2 off AA 1.5v alkaline batteries, housed behind a press fit (toolless entry) water proof battery cover. I would like to have seen the cover have a retaining string to ensure that it cannot get lost, however the fit is perfect so it would not come off unless removed. The front of the unit taken up with a large display which is very clear and well sealed against water ingress. The lower half is for buttons. These are made from rubber and have a good feel to them. Removing the 6 retaining screws in rear of the case allowed access to the internals which reveals more high quality design. The whole unit is weather sealed and the electronics are housed in their own compartment away from the water valve (and view) and further sealed behind white silicon. The valve uses a latching solenoid valve which appears to be servo assisted. Servo assistance relies on water pressure to open the valve. This means the unit must have at least 2 metres (0.2 bar) of head minimum in order to operate reliably. No problem for mains water supplies but would be an issue if you wish to use it with a water butt for example. If you wish to water from a butt you may wish to consider something with a motor actuated value such as Hozelock AC Plus as this does not have any minimum water pressure requirements. I’ve had several Hozelock timers and this is higher quality (Hozelock are by no means poor either!). Comes with Hozelock quick connect adapters and screw fittings for 1/2 and 3/4 inch standard outdoor taps.

I like the product and it does what it says on the box, however, instead of on/off times over a 24hr period, having a start/stop limit to exclude night time watering (if applicable) would be helpful. Otherwise a good robust and well made produc
Good time
I have previously used a more “analogue” automatic waterer, which didn’t have a screen but a couple of knobs for setting the times. I went for this model because the screen should make it easier to set and monitor the settings. I must say I am impressed. It’s very good value, doesn’t seem to leak, and does work. My concern with these things is always whether it will fail at some point while open, meaning gushing water over a long period of time… if that does happen I’ll update this review but for now I’m very happy.
Easy to set up and attach to external or internal water tap as long as tap has usual fitting .I had a small problem as my tap only had two threads do it was necessary to tern the fitting unit of the meter upwards over the tap itself to connect but it seems to work I wanted it as I was having a lawn relaid and it will need continual watering if there is no rain .It was easy to set for automatic watering as you may require either hourly or daily and the number of times required .It also has a manual function override so you need not change the settings if you want to turn it on outside the set time or times .It is also said to be waterproof but it does say not to expose the unit if possible .this is not possible in my case but it is reasonably sheltered so we will see if it stands up to rain over a period
