A Chef that makes you celebrate especially when you are making your Celebration Cake! And it didn’t cost too much dough!

Very good and strong mixer. I am very happy with it and I am using it on a monthly basis. Works very well so far. Easy to clean too. A must buy for all of us professional and/or amateur bakers.

We had one of these in the 70’s ? which was passed along to our son and family as with ageing we did not use it as much. However was missed by my wife so bought her this one. Have to say that they are every bit as good as in those days but short on accessories included by comparison !
Don’t think any of the various alternative brands measure up to Kenwood for this appliance.
    So glad we re-invested.

Bought primarily for the bread mixing feature, this machine is really useful.
It is very sturdy (heavy) and doesn’t ‘travel’ when mixing at the higher speeds.
The mixing attachments do their jobs very well.
The size and shape of the mixing bowl is almost perfect (it tapers at the bottom) allowing all ingredients thoroughly. Depending on what you are mixing, you may have to occasionally, scrape the sides down.
The dough hook is my most used attachment, and that I cannot fault.
It also has a handy pouring ‘lid’, attachment. Means no more flour ‘clouds’ or liquid ‘sprays’.
All in all, a great machine, I love it!

I have always wanted a Kenwood chef mixer. I now have one and I am not disappointed. However, it would have been useful to be able to use the 4.6 litre bowl when I am cooking for myself.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe needed a Kenwood Mixer and the dicer attachment in a hurry – like next day! We make soup by the gallon for a local church diner, feeding the hungry and homeless, in our town. We have a “tame” fruiterer just round the corner from our shop, who kindly gave us a good supply of root vegetables for the soup. The only trouble is dicing root vegetables by hand – not a good idea, especially when your the other side of seventy. This was Teusday, and the soup was needed for Friday the same week. We live in North Devon, a lovely remote corner of England – but not a place blessed with numerous white goods stores. Enter Amazon.

Wednesday morning we confirmed with Kenwood which dicer fitted which mixer (and none fitted our over sixty year old Kenwood mixer). The only way to get things quickly in North Devon is to use our most reliable suppier for almost anything – Amazon, of course! We found the cheapest mixer from the Kenwood range that should drive the dicer, which was about 350 from Kenwood, and the same on Amazon, but with Prime delivery Amazon was our first choice. This is one miracle for us – Amazon had a warehouse “damaged” mixer, the exact one, at an amazingly low price – so much so that we could buy the mixer and dicer for the normal price of just the mixer! Ideal for us poor old age pensioners. We often buy Amazon’s warehouse seconds, and have been well blessed by them. We ordered the mixer and the dicer together, both coming from Amazon’s own warehouses, hoping they would come in time for the soup to be cooked on the Thursday evening.

We were just about to eat our dinner at about 6pm on Thursday evening when the van pulled up. Yes, the driver had a delivery for us, although our hearts sank when the big box slipped through his hands off the back of the van with a thump! He struggled accross the road to our house and very helpfully slid the box accross the porch floor. Then we could see the probleme. We did not expect the mixer to be delivered in it’s original posh box, but we did expect a descent Amazon box sturdy enough to ship the mixer. The box delivered was fit for nothing – it was well past it’s best, with no fresh parcel tape to hold it together since it was well torn and pretty near useless. This is the second miracle! On inspection the mixer was found to be perfect with no damage or sratches to the casing – remember, we paid a very fair price for this mixer so were expecting to find some warehouse damage/ scratches, but there were none. So we worked out how to fit the dicer – not easy first time, but we got there in the end. We plugged the mixer in to a power point, swithed on, and – beautiful – so quiet and so smooth. Then we carefully placed the prepared parsnips, carrot, and sweed in to the dicer – WOW – with litle effort diced veg dropped from the dicer in to the receiving bowl. Fantastic! No effort! Marvelouse! BUT – the real miracle was – the mixer worked perfectly inspite of the poor packaging by someone in the Amazon warehouse.

Well, the diner had their soup on Friday morning – and no complaints! What does all this add up to? Kenwood still produce excellent, sturdy, good to use mixers like this Chef XL, and good implements to work with the mixers to make our work more enjoyable and satisfying. And, Amazon. Well no wonder they are the world’s top retailer – they deserve to be – their service is excellent – and they know how to look after customers with exelent customer after sales care. We wont say too much about the err —— in the warehouse – perhaps someone will have a quiet word?

I bake on a regular basis and purchased this Kenwood to replace my old one which I had for 25+ years and I’ve given it to my granddaughter so it’s still going strong. love the large bowl motor is really powerful, the spatula could be slightly longer and slightly wider but that’s the only fault I can find with i

This was bought to replace my old (40 years) Kenwood Chef which sadly died. I have found this machine does not clean the bowl as well as my previous machine and I need to stop it to scrape the bowl with a spatula a couple of times while mixing. The metal bowl is also noisey. Having said all this, it’s a great machine which I enjoy using.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI love this – I actually chose KA stand mixer first, however I had to return that as really unhappy with its performance. HAD to go back to the Good Classic Kenwood Stand Mixers!! I’m very happy w it, since purchasing few months ago.
Just one thing – I bake bread most of the time – the dough hook for this isn’t wide enough to scrape all the flour from the sides. So I always have to put the spatula in whilst it mixes.
Looking for a spare dough hook, but hoping I find one that is wide enough!
A little loud – but understandable that this can be heavy duty.

Still the best standing mixer after all these years. Why change what isn’t broken. All the included accessories feel and look good. Have made pastry, fruit cake and sponge in the machine. All successful. A couple of negatives, the bowl is larger than expected, and the machine is a little loud on the higher speed..

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have wanted one of these for ages and finally got one after our Kenwood food processor no longer worked properly. It is a good solid machine but there are a few niggles; the K beater needs adjustment to scrape the bottom of the bowl properly and the machine can apparently be accidentally turned on whilst the head of the machine is lifted. These are both things that can easily be fixed or avoided but nonetheless are unexpected in such a good brand and in a machine such as this – love it otherwise.

I was surprised to find out the bowl doesn’t have a handle like my other two Kenwood machines especially as it has a larger bowl, I should have looked at picture more closely. I found it hard tipping the mixture out as I couldn’t hold the bowl.
I do love the large brown and the white is classy, everything is perfect apart from the handle, lovely price I had been saving my Amazon vouchers from work so when I saw this on Black Friday and I only had to put 10 to it couldn’t resis

This is a good machine to make bread. It also has several useful attachments which is another reason why I bought it. Just one thing, I did not expect it to make such a noise and at first the shaking worries me. But overall I am happy with its performance.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI have a 1985 Kenwood (wedding present) which is still going strong and has been used on a daily basis for the last 10 years at my place of work (I am a cook for a private family by trade). I decided I’d like my mixer back where it belongs at home with me and have bought this new one for ‘work’, very highly rated. ps my Mother has one that was a wedding present in 1960’ish and its still going strong. A lifetime investment – built to last and serve

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBrilliant machine but i did need to alter the height of the beaters which was tricky, a spanner is needed but not supplied. It comes with a splash guard which was not in the description. I bought the food processor additional which was a bit expensive but seems sturdy and well made so don’t mind investing the money. I use this mixer at least 10 times a week as i have a small baking business. I can mix up to 3 batches at once which is great however is struggles with small mixes but that is to be expected. I would definatly recommend this mixer.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI’ve always wanted a Kenwood Chef and here it is! When I saw the price at 238 I just had to buy it. Whilst a silver one would have been nice, I’m more than happy to have got one in white at that price.

Is it any good? Well, it’s actually flaming brilliant!
It’s made of sturdy metal, it’s heavy and stable, and definitely does what it’s says on the box.

Bread, pizza dough and cake batter made so far, all effortless. Instead of flour everywhere and ten minutes of kneading, I just threw all the ingredients in the bowl, turned it on and then sat watching YouTube for 10mins with a coffee. Once kneaded, you just easily slide the dough off the hook, into the bowl, cover with damp tea towel and let it rise.

Just make sure you read the destructions first before using so you don’t try and go all out on the speed. It’s a fantastic device, but still subject to user error.

I bought the mincer and sausage stuffing attachment, which works amazingly well, plus the blender for smoothies and shakes. I’m looking at the pasta maker attachment next, along with the ice cream maker.
Go on, it’s well worth the money.

Awesome, sturdy machine that does the job fantastically.

Great machine designed to do what it does best – mix stuff.
I have a slight concern that the tilting mechanism lever either hasn’t been installed properly or their is design fault as it tends to stick.

The girlfriend Loves this thing. Cracking. So far so good. The guard and the extra capacity bowl are exquisite . It’s quiet and functions much the same way as our 40 year old one. No need for a fancy looking piece of overpriced crap, this is pretty basic but hopefully will last.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur old Kenwood finally had to be replaced after many long years of use by my wife especially when our children were growing up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave been toying with buying a stand mixer for a while, looking at different makes and models until I saw this on a deal of the day and decided to go for it! I’m so glad I did. Mixing is now a breeze and I can churn out cakes, bread and biscuits in no time at all. I wasn’t sure whether it was going to be one of those kitchen gadgets that you buy, then leave in a cupboard to gather dust, absolutely not, barely a weekend goes by without me turning out something delicious in a snap. An absolute boon for anyone that enjoys baking.

Although I was chuffed to bits with my old Kenwood, the xl knocks it’s socks off. Bigger bowl, and larger ‘k’ beater , whisk and dough hook, wished I’d have gotten one years ago! Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersWe started our stand mixer exploration with relatively cheap model from a well known high street supermarket. It did well until trying to make more pizza dough than normal for my daughters birthday when the plastic gearing insaide failed. After realising that the kenwood was about 10 weeks worth of take away pizzas equivalent price we purchased one!! We have not been let down even on larger batches of pizza dough and are now spreading our wings and using it for a variety of other things! It’s a little disappointing that more attachment s aren’t included for the price but hey you can’t expect durability and all the toys!

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersThis was my absolute favourite Black Friday dal of all time. I don’t think I would I would have been able to buy it at full price because my conscience wouldn’t let me. However I have recently used it and it works amazing it is so steady and powerful enough that I can just leave it and get on with other things (like clean up or greasing tins) while it’s busy mixing batter or beating the eggs. The K beater handle is phenomenal and the Whisk works really well as well.
