I wanted this bench for stoage and its great looks. It certainly adds to my garden. Very pleased. Bought one for my sister about eight years ago. Keeps it covered in winter. Still looks very good.
After a rocky start we paid to have it put together. Very happy with it. water does pool in ravine at back and when lifting lid when wet water splashed inside, not much but still wet is wet. different plastic now hard. weight restriction but is on everything. Bought cover for it. Everyone uses it so all good.
Was possible to do it alone – but needs two really. If the instruction pictures are followed carefully not too diffucult to assemble. Like the end result – what we needed in the garden, rainproof.
I had quite a lot of trouble with the delivery of my bench when it eventually arrived it was well wrapped and my son put it together for me which was straightforward and looks great in my back garde
Love the look of the product but it was not as easy as it said it was to put together. The hinges are not correct they do not fit very well and almost have the top off kilter to get it to shut. It does not open straight.
The bench is fine, no problem. But the little bag of bits had been opened and the plugs for the back edge of the seat lid were missing.
I’ve emailed twice and received confirmation of both, but no plugs received.
Also the telephone number is no longer working.
This is our second bench . The old one failed because the seat buckled in the middle and leaked water. It lasted 4 years or so.I tried to just buy another seat part but couldn’t find one anywhere. I noticed on the new one the ribs have been redesigned and seem a bit more substantial. For the money it’s ok . Took me about half an hour to put together by myself without any major headaches. The new one has been in the garden a few weeks now and shows no sign of leaking . The seat hasn’t sagged yet despite the fact that the missus and myself aren’t exactly thin people ( hope she doesn’t read this ). So yes for the cash you can’t go far wrong.
I like its style, its weatherproofness, and although it said needed 2 to assemble it l did it on my own in a decent amount of time.
I actually enjoyed putting it together, you hardly need the instructions as it all seemed like common sense.
The one flaw it ” may ” have is the inside floor panel didn’t strike me as very sturdy, and I wont risk anything heavy inside it, had wanted to put my 1800w powere washer in it but I changed my mind after seeing and feeling the flooring.
But otherwise its 5 stars from me, oh one more thing the seat panrl was much darker than the one shown in the promo photos, but I’m ok with it.
This is the second one of these I bought. The first was perfect and was water tight and sturdy. The second and most recent one looked like it was cut into shape with a knife and fork! XD
It also came with a small bit of the underside of the lid cracked off. I couldn’t even find the piece rattling around inside the box to glue it back! Luckily – the broken piece is not noticeable when the lid is down, and the bench is solid and waterproof when built.
For this reason I’m giving it 4 stars.
Note for the manufacturer: please try and get better plastic forming/cutting machines! it looks like you’ve cut the pieces out using a blunt chainsaw!
This bench is excellent for storing your patio cushions or other garden stuff, and keeping them dry. We do use a cover as well, though. Quite comfy for moulded plastic. We use cushions just to soften it a bit. Very pleased with our purchase.
I had been looking for a bench of decent quality for a while at a very good price. It is everything I was expecting and very happy with the product solidity and design. Great addition for storage and sitting elevatorment.
Well my bench has just arrived & within 30 minutes I had it constructed with my leaf blower & chainsaw nicely ensconced within & with loads of room to spare!
The instructions were easy to follow but did say 2 people needed to build, I’m disabled & did it alone with absolutely no difficulty at all, I did have to trim a very slight bit of flashing off & drill a few holes in the base where they were missing, but nothing that was difficult to do.
If you are looking to buy a storage bench I would say, look no further than the Keter Eden Bench! It’s easy to build, looks great, has plenty of storage space, is very sturdy & won’t break the bank!
I read that many people had issues with assembling it – took me 1.5h and if you ever put something together from IKEA you will have no issues with following through the manual. I did make sure the edges of the parts were having no matrixes/melted surplus from the factory with a small cutter I had around the house. For the sturdiness concerns, the seating is very sturdy. We had 2 adults/110kg sitting on it so far and the lid did just fine. The waterproof works, furthermore there is no dampness or moisture inside even after heavy rain. Don’t forget to respect the step of adding the bottom screen and make sure the upper back clips are pushed perpendicularly when inserted. Such a joy to use in the su
This is a fantastic product that is easy to build, sturdy, practice for storage and looks great. Only thing is I found a week after buying it, cheaper in Home Bargains.
I thought when I looked into box that it might be a little light but no when you put it all together it’s great. Love it great seat to sit on also and loads of space inside to store bits and pieces.
Excellent for what I need it for however one flaw is the little drain at the back of the seat fills and when you open the seat lid the water runs inside, not great when purchased to store garden shoes and bird feed etc. simple fix is a small 5mm or so wedge under the 2 front feet only – problem solved.
After using this for over a year now, I can attest that it is sturdy enough to sit outside in all weathers without having rain leaking into it. It holds quite a lot of equipment too. Even when full it is easy to move around.
I’m so pleased with this bench . Very easy to assemble. Clear instructions very sturdy. I use it to put my hand gardening tools, pots and watering cans in and there’s still so much more room
Would definitely recommend
Thank you
I am thrilled with this purchase the bench is great and very sturdy and the added advantage of having plenty of storage space would recommend this to anyone.
Wow. So amazing. Goes well with the garden. No wonder all the reviews for this were so good. Well worth every penny. And the storage is such a bonus for us with no outdoor sheds
There was some slight damage on arrival but this was soon addressed and sorted. A bit fiddly to put together with only me but I managed it and it looks great. The bench is sturdy but lightweight and I can move it easily myself. Some people have complained about water/rain getting inside but I can’t see how as there is a ledge all the way round that stops it leaking in. I watered it with the hose and we’ve had rain and the cushions I store in the base are always dry. All together a great buy.
arrived a day earlier than estimated. Very good for me. it went together quite well and easily. i spent 5 minutes sorting the components and trimming some of the “flash” from he mouldings as some people seemend to find this stopped the components fitting properly. I just trimmed or scraped them off with a sharp veg knife. I just squeezed the joints together or persuaded them to fit with a slap. All assembled and in place in under an hour from delivery. The bench feels quite sturdy and looks better than a collection of recycling bags scattered around my patio. I was convinced that the seat lid was black instead of the brown I had ordered but once placed outside in the sun you can see it’s a nice dark brown wood grain effect. quite impressed with it so far. can’ comment on how weatherproof it is yet, it looks like it will be fine for my recycling but mo sign of rain here.!!
Very easy to assemble – need to be a bit careful with the lid as the lugs in the hinge need a bit of persuasion but can snap if forced – but very solid and watertight when finished
The bench looks good and feels sturdy. Took about an hour to assemble. One down side is the need to cut out some excess plastic from the injection moulding which causes issues when connecting few pieces together but not a big issue, however the manufacturer could improve this a bit. Overall recommended.
Looks beautiful In the garden , very light to move around if necessary. It’s meant to be a 2 seater, but enough room for 3 comfortably.
Does not come with cushions,(although very comfortable to sit on, just found seat got a bit hot) Bought 3 cushions which overlap a little , but still looks and feels good . The seat came damaged. but thanks to an extremely friendly and efficient lady called Kim at Keter after Sales Service, a new seat arrived within 2 days at no extra cost .
This is a great product except the front panel had a production fault which left a hole in the bottom right front corner where rain could ingress. I did not want to take whole unit apart
so simply “plugged” the hole but future purchasers should check all panels before assembly!
The seat was easy to assemble and looks good. Only complaint I have is the same as for all Keter Garden items. That is the plastic Moulding needs to be addressed because where the Mould joins when they cast it in the factory there is nearly always a small sprue of plastic that needs trimming off. It’s easily done with a sharp knife and it sometimes helps with assembly as well as the appearance.
A little fiddly to assemble but at least it comes with screws rather than Allen keys
The instructions for assembly are nice and clear. This is a handy occasional seat and storage item for patio or garden. Not vey comfortable but this can be resolved with seat pads and a couple of small cushions.
Care needs to be taken when snapping pieces together as this can be tricky particularly in the early stage of snapping the back support and lower back upright section together. You need a tool with a handle and large blunt end to force the snap together at this stage. Protruding bits which are left attached by the manufacturing process can hinder the snapping joining process. I had to remove these small bits carefully with a stanley knife before they would fit and snap. The rest of the assembly was straight forward. Happy with the purchase. Delivery was very fast. Thank you.
Looks good once assembled but a pain to do so on my own. Took me around two hours but a hour was removing all the plastic from holes etc from the bad manufacturing! Though it would have taken half the time if I’d used a modelling drill, or like, with a de burring attachment Some parts still gap a bit but nothing serious. It’s fairly weather resistant, we’ve had a few downpours lately and it’s still dry inside. I found the back rest a bit uncomfortable though, maybe use a cushion or fix two computer wrist rests to the top of the backrest One thing I did notice, if you have it against the wall and your place has tiles with moss in or between them you may find green moss appearing on the seat. It appeared on mine within a week, easily rubbed off though Hope this was helpful and have a nice day
so easy to put together. the bench i got help from my other half, but really it was so simple and quick. the trunk i did on my own which is important because i have ME/CFS and it maybe took about 10 minutes…?
they hold a lot – i didn’t think they were going to be enough for all my garden junk but there is a lot of room to spare. they manage to keep out the rain well, too.
i’m just over 15st and both hold my weight comfortably.
I would highly recommend. No regrets!
The end product looks great lers hope it lasts.
But it wasn’t the easiest to put together the beginning with the metal stripe was not the easiest to put into the arm..
Took 2 of us about an hour or so
Looks good in the garden, sturdy, just need a bench cushion now..
Storage is great
Be careful if it’s rained, when you lift the lid all the water runs of to the inside storage..
Make sure you wipe the seat lid off before opening after rain.
This product came flat packed and was able to put it together in the best part of 20 minutes. It’s lightweight, easy to move and seems to be doing great outdoors. Posties are loving it as they no longer worry about where to leave parcels and the inside is very spacious. It is water proof and so far even in heavy rain has kept water out but I do notice that water on the seat will pool at the back when you lift the lid. That’s not been an issue but one I am keeping an eye out for as I don’t want that to then overflow into the compartment and damage anything. I haven’t got much use out of it as the weather is too cold/wet still but hopefully once Summer kicks in will be sitting outside a lot more! Compartment can also be locked with your own padlock/combination lock which is nice too.
KETER is a class brand and I love their products. A definite recommend for me!
While I can appreciate the reasons for some of the negative reviews of this Keter Bench Seat/Storage Box, if it arrives (complete) without being damaged and care is taken with the assembly, there is nothing really left to criticise. The instructions are clear and do recommend that two people are needed for one part of the assembly process – that said, I managed the whole process single-handedly and in a relatively confined space! Yes, there are some parts that are extremely tight fitting and care must be taken not to try and fit them incorrectly or some parts may split/break, but careful checking against the instruction sheets for correct Left or Right handed parts and their orientation is a ‘must’. The only tool I used was a standard cross-head/Phillips screwdriver and despite some of the pre-marked ‘holes’ not actually being holes (there is a very thin layer of plastic obscuring some of them), no drilling or trimming with a knife was necessary at all, any surplus untrimmed plastic was easily removed by hand. The three steel sections were all a perfect fit with their cut-outs to allow for positioning, all correctly aligning with the plastic mouldings to which they are secured. The two metal plates that comprise the means of adding a padlock can be omitted altogether – the instructions recommend fitting a padlock but my guess is that this is as a deterrent to very small children who might be tempted to use the box for ‘hide & seek’, so as there is no danger of tots being in our garden, I have left the brackets off. After rainfall, water does tend to lay on the seat and if you lift the lid quickly, then it will undoubtedly run down into the storage area – the secret is to either wipe the surplus water off first or to lift the lid SLOWLY so that the drainage gutter that runs along the back edge behind the seat/lid isn’t overwhelmed by the amount of water being poured into it, otherwise the storage area remains perfectly dry even in heavy rain. In summary, this bench/box looks good, costs substantially less than than a ‘cheap’ wooden bench (which will not be anywhere near as rigid or loadbearing as this is) and took me about 30 minutes to assemble. We will probably buy a second one.
Delivery was prompt and the product was well packaged. I found the storage bench to be very well engineered, easy to assemble and I was able to assemble it on my own. The instructions were very clear, and the parts were clearly identifiable and cross referenced to the instructions. The bench is reinforced with steel where required and on completion looks and feels robust enough to last for years. I cannot yet vouch for how waterproof the storage compartment is but have given this aspect 5* because from an engineer’s perspective and based on what I’ve seen of the design and assembly I have every confidence that it will perform as you would expect.
We got this for seat cushions and to collect rain water for cats water bowl
This bench is perfect for a nice relaxing corner of the garden the plastic is easy to maintain just wipe it down and it always looks lovely plus the storage is handy below
This bench is just what I needed for my outdoor storage needs.
I bought it to house my jet wash and cleaning products for my car/bikes and they fit in nicely.
The bench has a water run off similar to the boot of a car, where the water runs down the bench and then on to the run off, keeping the inside dry.
The bench lives outside and the weather of late is absolutely sombre, with rain at a constant – doorstep to the Brecon Beacons is a glorious place during the one day of summer, but the waterproof claim of this bench is well and truly put to the rest due to the rest of the year being absolutely soaking. I’m glad I bought it.
Value for money
I’ve paid 103 for a useful bit of outside storage I wouldn’t pay Any more.
Bench was easy to assemble and had done without rushing in 20mins.
Parts are clearly labelled so no mistakes with wrong bits.
Storage is great, fit all my bbq fuel and gear and still half the space left for more bits.
Sitting it seems sturdy, I’m about 90-100kg and certain spots have a bit of flex, seems like there is space for braces inside but none were in box.
Doesn’t detract from value of product imo, paid 93 seen them range from 80-140, and I’d still be happy at 140.
At a glance doesn’t look too plastic at all
Assembly instructions were good but you do have to pay attention when assembling Keter products because any moment of inattention can lead to a mistake and two heads are better than one.
Once assembles the product looks good seems sturdy and weatherproof and holds quite a lot.
Delivery time was good.
Very sturdy storage bench. Not too big. Exactly what I wanted /expected. Best price I found for the same bench in other stores. Arrived very promptly. Delivery driver very nice , helpful man.
Easy to assemble comfortable and sturdy , keeps out water quite well .
Overall once this is constructed, it’s not bad. It seemed so flimsby at first, but once the final parts go into place it works as a sturdy bench. Some of the plastic plugs for the back section could be improved. One didnt work too well, but it holds together. You have to be carefull with those. The sitting area takes my weight okay. When stacked with stuff like cushions, sometimes the lid distorts a bit at the front. But the rain keeps out. Just don’t over pack it. As for keeping the cushions dry, clever little canal at the back that drains water off to the back. Lids plastic, it puddles here and there, but just lift the lid slowly to drain.
In general once I have thrown a full swing cushion on, its comfortable. Plenty of areas to tie the cushion in place.
Loved the seat already had one which we bought 2017 which is still great but unfortunately the new seat collects water on the seat when it rains which didn’t happen with the first seat not a big problem but annoying .
This garden seat/storage bench is well worth the cost but, the assembly instructions could be a little easier to follow. However, once assembled it certainly looks the part and performs (if that’s the right word) very well. Have received some excellent remarks from visitors to my garden since it’s introduction so, very pleased indeed.
very easy to assemble ,looks lovey and brilliant for storage.
This product is great for storage, more than I expected & perfect for garden toys in my case. The instructions are clear and everything included bar a screwdriver to put it together butas well as screwing the sections need to click into place. This was a pain and in the end I’d given up in places. However once it was screwed together I found I was able to go back and click the areas I was struggling with. Note : don’t use a mallet! I did this and ended up cracking the side which I’ve had to superglue together. Sounds worse than it it and in the whole I’m happy with the product.
Very easy to put together instructions good water proof very sturdy
We are very happy with our purchase it looks very nice & is very sturdy with plenty of storage
Nice looking fitted together well and would recommend to any one looking for a solid sea
Very easy assembly & strong. Dry storage for cushions in summer.
This is the third one I have bought over the years for outside diffrent caravans, its a bit fiddly to assemble but follow the instructions and its fine, quite sturdy and its great to store the sunloungers garden chairs etc and use as a bench as intended would deffo recommend.
I am very pleased with my garden bench, it is comfortable and has storage space.
This product fits really well on decking outside my static caravan. Provides good storage for smaller cushions from patio furniture. Really please with purchase.
Bench is great for the allotment, waterproof and very comfortable. Good value for money and easy to assemble. Good buy.
The middle hinge on the seat section should have a plastic or steel bolt instead of the plastic snap shut…thats exactly what it did do is “snap off”
It was easily remedied by a simple drill hole and my own bolt insert …but others may struggle to fix it.
Other than that its s good piece if kit.

Just what I wanted somewhere to sit and store garden stuff. Excellent. Made a cushion to sit o
Our bench also doubles as a parcel box, we liked this so much we bought another for our back garden, we use for locked storage, highly recommend.
delivered very well packaged with instructions to assemble from flat pack. one of the box clips for the lock was different to the contents list (2 the same supplied) but did the job when fitted. Assembly is probably not for those with no experience of flat packs, but only requires a Philip’s head screwdriver although 2 people are recommended for some stages of assembly. The box bottom appears to be a sort of reinforced carboard type material and would not take heavy loads (71lb max quoted). The fitting of the bottom is critical to hold the whole thing together and to make sure the lid/seat fits well – care is needed to overlap the bottom at both ends of the bench sides to allow sufficient material to attach the screws that pull in the two ends. The finished bench is reinforced with metal bars and is both very sturdy and gives a waterproof box and good seat.
Love this benchplaced for early morning sun and so useful to store cushions but also used a side table when entertaining!
I recommend this bench. It goes well in the garden although at first I was shocked that it was a plastic type of material. Now I’m glad that it’s this plastic material because that’s the reason that it’s portable and lght and perfectly rainproof. It’s just as attractive as the metal bench that it sits next to and actually a bit more comfortable to sit on because the seat is larger. I’m very pleased with it.
Excellent bench and lots storage but waiting for a small
Part and cannot get any reply from meter which is really unusual as they are usually really good!
Pretty sturdy for sitting on. I am only small so yet to try with someone heavier. Some drill holes weren’t obvious. Didn’t take long to put together on my own. One side of bench catches on on of the arms so take care to put everything in the right place. Locks well. Looks good.
This seat/storage box is good looking not really used it for sitting on as yet due to weather but it will serve its purpose eventually. Storage is good very compact.
Despite some people finding this difficult to assemble it is not! I am a 60 year +woman who assembled this in less than 30 minutes by myself. The instructions are easy, if you read them first! Each piece is clearly stamped and all bolt holes are in the correct place. I’ve used this to keep my recycling boxes in. Despite the heavy rain we have had everything kept bone dry. It was on sale for 89 and is an absolute bargain. Comfortable to sit on without cushions. I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Held back purchasing after reading some bad reviews, bought after price drop. Only having small balcony, and wanting storage too. This bench was spot on, well pleased. Assembled on my own in about 45 mins, no problem at all. Seems sturdy enough, looks good. So am a happy bunny as they say !
No problems putting it together
Did it on my own
No leeks even with the recent storms.
Usual shed padlock fits ok.
Cheaper than DIY stores.
Managed to build on my own in 45 minutes taking time. So I would rate as easy to assemble and very light to move. However, strong enough for two 15 stone adults. Slight seat redesign since my first chair but colour matches perfectly.
There was a small crack in one of the legs but doesn’t affect it pretty simple to assemble and good that it can be locked pleased with item
Nice high seat, so very comfortable. Plenty of storage space. The clips are a bit difficult to press together but the instructions were very clear. Over all, once its together, its a very nice garden bench
I like the price productivity and appearance. Easy to put in place. note that PI and PII pieces are part of plastic conjuncture that you need to break free.
This is a nice quality product but, when putting together, you need a sharp blade to make sure the interlocking “click-in” bits are clear of thin bits of plastic from the moulding process. This made it a bit difficult to just assemble, having to check every hole etc to make sure it would go in. Once together, it is sturdy and watertight and looks good on the decking. A bit more effort from the manufacturers quality control would make this a much nicer experience.
