Worth Every Penny
I like these Keter boxes, it’s used to keep recycling in, it’s our second one in 6 years. The old one is still usable, but the sun has weakend the seat after 6 years. (It can get really hot). Can sit on it and it looks really neat.
5.0 out of 5 stars My 2nd purchase of this item..
These outdoor storage boxes are simply first class and I would not hesitate to recommend. Easily assembled in less than 40 minutes without assistance, good clear instructions. They are completely waterproof and have stood up to the worst weather without failing in any way.
Very pleased
Pleased with the item – it seems to keep things inside dry and good value for the price. Assembly is more involved than expected, but not difficult.
Metal bars support the frame at the top which adds strength.
I put this together myself, with a little help from my son who pushed the sides in for me. Replaces an ugly, large, old storage cupboard. It takes up much less room and also loiks decent. We have had a lot of rain but contents seem dry for now.
Sturdy and waterproof
Delivery was quick and efficient. The box was easy to assemble and feels quite sturdy. With all the rain we have just had everything is still dry inside. It stays open without having to hold the lid which makes it easy to load and get things out .
I haven’t tried sitting on it but it looks strong enough to take the weight of an average adult.
Well pleased with this box. Arrives flat-packed, but the instructions are straightforward and parts well-labelled, so assembly was straightforward. A couple of minor niggles due to flash blocking screw holes (easily drilled clear – if you’ve got a drill) and the slot for the gas strut needed filing out to allow it to fit properly. You’ll definitely need screwdrivers, a mallet or hammer & block of wood and space to construct it in.
Once assembled it is a good solid construction, with a tight fitting lid that has hasps for a lock. The base is the weakest part – effectively hardboard, so needs to be kept off the ground (just ensure the weight is borne through the plastic sides and corners) and potentially limits the weight that could be placed inside, so no good for sacks of cement!) Otherwise it swallows a vast amount, looks like it will last and looks smart and tidy.
It is large, which is good. It does protect the contents from the weather. Importantly, the lock (where you put your own Padlock through) is metal so it’s more difficult for thieves to break open.
Assembly is not just clicking it together, it is a lot of screws. Still only a one person job and took me about 30 minutes.
Best purchase
Perfect for my outside furniture cushions
Does exactly what it is made for!!!
Well designed, easy to put together (for something like this), but...
… it really needs a flat place to rest, given that the plastic warps with weight, if the base is not flat, the lid may not close.
Otherwise, great outdoor storage chest. After a year of use, I bought another I was so impressed. The first is still going strong.
This product needs a simple clear large instructions on how to put together. The box once made is sturdy and has plenty of room.
It’s really simple to put together I spent ages overthinking it, reading reviews and the pdf instruction in information section which is so small I couldn’t see it. Instructions are really bad and could be made so much simpler
First of all It doesn’t matter which way the bars are fitted the big holes can be facing or the small holes can be facing There Is a round hole, line this up over the screw hole you don’t need to put a screw in it. The hole is too big. It’s just so that you know you’ve lined the bar up properly.
1)First put the bars on the front panel with two brackets on each end using the large screws. The bar should overhang exactly the same each end.
2)On the front side attach the padlock lock using a large screw. The plate doesn’t go flat against the panel there is a gap but as long as it is screwed as tight as you can that is okay. See picture.
3)Then fix bar the same on the back panel again with the large screws.
Most large screws are used for the box the small screws are for the base apart from one that is used for lid padlock lock.
4)Get one end of the box lay on the floor and stand on the front side into it they only fit one way if the bar is not fitting into the hole and it is not lining up with the slots then you’ve got the wrong end. Push down and it clicks into place quite easily
5)Do the same with the back side keeping the end on the floor and the two sides standing up. Now slide floor down make sure end slots are clicked in place.
6)Put the other end on the floor and turn the box on top line up and push down it clicks in easily.
7)Use all the small screws to secure the base this will keep the box together.
8)Now you just need the front lid lay on floor upside down and fit holding hinge. You have to slide it in very tight and push it as far as you can so that the two screw holes line up, tap Gently with a hammer to slide into position , fix in place with two small screws.
9)Then fit box lid at the front with the padlock lock with small screw.
10)Lift lid onto the box and with the plastic ends slide into the end of the lid. Make sure all the holes are lined up so it’s slides in. If they are not going in then you haven’t lined them up properly. They are left and right so only fit one side.
11) Now screw The other end of the holding hinge bracket with large screws onto the back box panel.
12)Now using a large screw, screw the other side of the hinge into the single screw hole on the box panel at the back. Again The hinge doesn’t go flush with the back panel as long as the screw is tight that’s fine.
13)Now just slide in the bar to hold up the lid and line up the hinge bar holes and slide the bolt in. It has a small release which needs pushing in when inserting. The end of my bar was slightly twisted but you can turn it straight to line up.
14) finally just clipping the two ends on the front of the lid.
It should take you about an hour to do. I am 67 female and did it all myself.
Good size for 4' x 2' seat cushio
I have had 2 keter garden storage boxes for at least 10 years and they are a bit battered now, but were always waterproof and are now still used for garden tools. I purchased this slightly bigger box (weatherproof yet to be tested) as my new seat cushions were 2-3 inches too tall/wide for the old boxes and they fit this box perfectly.
If I get the same longevity from this box, then it is cheap at the price.
Decent box for the price
Seems robust enough for what I need it for (to store the recycling in) although one corner seems to be sticking up a bit, however will go down into position quite easily, have placed a small weight on the said corner to help keep it down, I’m sure when the sun eventually comes out it will settle into place. No issues with water ingress.
Great value for money.
I use it to store things on my terrace. I can put 3 medium suitcases. Football and some other stuff. It is sturdy. I build it in 30 min. It is waterproof. I am happy. It works.
A good storage/sea
It’s great for storage , you can use it as a seat aswell easy to assemble but remember to follow instructions

Easy to assemble and seems waterproof
I was a little tentative at first over the purchase in view of several adverse comments on the difficulty of assembly. However, I found assembly to be straightforward and didn’t need any assistance. The finished article appears robust and waterproof, although I have only had it about a month. Good size to store outdoor furniture cushions with room to spare.
Very sturdy
Brought for someone else but I put it together. Not a lot of instructions but only took 45 minutes. Works well
Great buy
I’ve bought 3 of these over the last few years. Good size and sturdy. Great for extra seating in the garden when needed too.
Good purchase
Plenty of room for items, easy to assemble. We use a pad lock to keep locked. purchased when weather was good, but since bad weather found keeps everything dry no problems just be careful when opening so any drips of water do not fall into box. Exactly what we wanted pleased with our purchase
