Purchased this to replace a old junction box that had started to let water in after a few years. Did a bit of research on Amazon and this looked good according to reviews. Installed this a few months ago, good size box and looks to be good quality (but time will tell). has the 20mm knock out holes which is ideal if you need that. Price was not bad, so far so good.

JB008 product ordered (IP66) but when opened the instructions state it is IP55 rated
I ordered this to provide a waterproof connection between two SWA cables, so wanted an IP66 (minimum) unit, however the internal instruction paperwork stated it was an IP55. Looking more closely at these instructions, they appear to be for a product ID of JB55, and hence are incorrect for the actual product. Hence I’m hoping that I really do have a product suitable for an IP66 rating.
Great weatherproof junction box!
Don’t know what other posts received, but this box is great. You have to DRILL out, not snap out, the cable inserts. Works exactly as described. Completely weatherproof, even when sprayed with garden hose. Top job!

Well made and watertight. They were used to distribute garden and shed power, also a good size to put remote control switches for external lighting.

Really well made product for all weathers.
Just big enough for the cctv camera connections on outside walls. Everything fits but you will need to make the bottom hole knock out bigger for the joy stick type cctv connection.
But easy resealed with some silicon seal around the bigger hole.
I wanted a solid box to make a switch unit for a motor controller and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was easy to cut holes for the switches and incoming cables (although I did make a mess of two of them, as per the picture, which was totally my fault!
Lovely and deep so I could fit the large switches, wire them up and still have space to remove and refit the lid with the cables beneath.
Easy to cut and with helpful push outs for the cable glands.
It’s rated IP66, which I have no reason to doubt but I’ll be using it indoors.
Great quality adaptable weatherproof box
I used this in an underground cable installation, plenty of room inside for cable glands and connection block. A minor criticism is the lid securing screws have started to rust after a month.
Good size for my purpose
Looks pretty good, had a bit of difficulty to knock out the holes, had to drill one of them, but overall looks good.
Used with CCTV camera
Ideal for use with CCTV to store excess cables. Rather than drilling a large hole, i cut a small V on bottom where it connects to lid. Quite soft so a sharp knife works OK. Also lid is ideal size to attach CCTV warning sticker on.
Strong & well constructed
Thoughtfully made with plenty of options on entry points for cables and box securing holes with watertight covers. Able to easily get bag of 20mm cable entry glands to make a watertight (early days yet) and professional looking job for the CCTV.
If your looking for a quality product and is well made and waterproof this is it.

Garden electric cable connector box
This worked well for me. No complaints. Weatherproof. Used it to connect an electric supply cable to a nice long pond pump cable. The box is tucked away at a safe distance from the pond.
Great box with lots of options
Excellent box, cannot fault it. Thick enough material but easy to work on.
Perfect for junctioning outside.
I really like this box. It has lots of clear marking for where to put your screws, the top fits on very snugly and it’s still dry as a bone inside after all this torrential rain. The wires are unrusty too, so not much vapour is getting in. There’s not limitless space inside, so you can only reasonably junction two or three mains cables, but with the careful application of a drill and some hot glue, you can make holes wherever you like 🙂
Very easy to put up, and nice and easy to fit the cables into. The fact it’s rectangular helps, because the junction strip will tend to fit one way or the other. Better than the circular ones, that’s for sure!

A nice simple box that appears to be well suited for the external task.

Good project box
Perfect for what I needed. I got the x-large one to house a power supply I’m building. It uses 10mF capacitors so wanted something that could at least help contain the explosion should the worst happen. Can confirm the box is easy to use and was well packed
I use these for many projects (usually involving low voltage electronics or cable splicing) and really hate spending good money on project enclosures. However, I have learned there is absolutely no point in buying cheap alternatives from China.
These Knightsbridge boxes are solid, made from proper plastics and will drill easily (but with care). The lid has proper rubber gaskets to make a good seal. I have used these outside and have had no problems at all.
You can buy the same sizes from China for about 1/3 of the cost but they are just a joke and so flimsy that a seal is impossible to achieve and no protection would be afforded. Conversely, the Knightsbridge boxes are stiff, glands fit properly and they inspire confidence..

Needed to house a transformer outside and this was perfect.

Very nice but when I had to drill the holes for the wires it just cracked but I glue it back togeather and then it worked.

Pleased with this item very tidy although is quite big, but saved me from having a lot of wires inside the house.

Big and roomy connection box.
Had nine lighting switches to light 9 different sets of lights all run in flexible conduit, ran all the circuits back to here and connected them all up in the false ceiling. The box already had knockouts for 10 entries so worked a treat being big and roomy the fact that it weatherproof will never be tested unless we get a leak.
Bought along with the smaller JBAV005 IP66 weatherproof junction box. It’s HUGE. Almost nearly two and a half times as big, but it doesn’t seem as well made as it’s little brother, and it doesn’t have the internal connectors. Also it’s lacking the rubber screw covers that help keep the box safe from the weather and water ingress. Sorry, but I’ve had to knock a star off because it’s not as well equipped as the smaller version.
Ordered Saturday p.m.. Delivered Sunday a.m.. A decent box for the price. I scored the knockouts with a Stanley knife and they came out OK. I also drilled it for another connector, no probs.
