Worth the money
Upgraded from a K2 which was awful and glad I did. This is so much better quality than the K2 and weirdly easier to put together. But the real test of course was using it. So much more powerful than the K2. Definitely recommend this model – worth paying more for the better quality.

Powerful washe
Bought this to replace an old Karcher K2 that had finally failed. This is much more powerful and easy to use. Requires a bit of simple assembly. The variable pressure lance is very useful. It cleans very well. Only minor complaint is storage of hose is a bit of a pain as it doesn’t coil easily.

Excellent upgrade.
Upgrading from a well used K2, which was ideal/safe for car cleaning and could be used for light garden work.

K4 is definitely powerful enough for a professional grade car cleaning, and routine garden maintenance.

While the K2 was relatively “safe” to use on cars, I definitely get the impression you could do some damage to the car with the K4 if used too close on high power.

So the performance is great, but be cautious.

I also believe unlike the K2 the K4 is water cooled rather than air cooled, this results in a much nicer sound level, it’s not quiet but the dogs no longer bark when I use it so that’s nice & I feel far more comfortable using it for prolonged periods of time and don’t feel as if I’m “burning it out” in anyway where the K2 never failed me I often felt I may have been pushing it.

Good reliable Machine
Bought this to replace a k4 machine that had started leaking, It was 8 years old so I cant complain, The Karcher works well and does the job with ease, One thing I would recommend is to throw away the standard hose which is rubbish and replace with a better quality non tangle item.

Good quality pressure washe
I have only used the washer with the vario lance to clean cars so far. I also have a ProKleen foam gun to use with the washer; this works better than a borrowed Karcher foam gun I had tried out, though it does cost 10 more.
The washer itself is the first in the range with a water cooled motor, and it is notably quieter in operation than washers I have used in the past. It should also help with durability.
The washer is easy to move around, and the 8m pressure hose gets round my 2 cars (just) without having to relocate the washer; don’t buy one with a shorter hose – you would regret it!
So very happy so far.
My 4* rating is due to the hose. It is very stiff, and keeps trying to coil itself up, so you have to be very careful not to put a kink in it. Unfortunately I put my first kink in it when feeding it through the aperture during assembly! On the plus side, when needed, replacement hoses are relatively cheap and available from several sources – I would definitely go for a rubberised one when getting a replacement.

Solid machine
It’s a Karcher and is obviously a nice machine, but there are some niggles. The hose is too long. It arrives tightly curled and tries to strangle itself all the time, and you end up having to spin the gun end to avoid tangles. Given you have to move the machine regularly I’d sooner have a small hose, or a better design for holding it. It means when I put it away I didn’t tightly curl the hose and it’s taking up masses of space. It’s just clumsy. But it worked well on very dirty paving slabs, and I used the variable speed gun to do the greenhouse glass and some painted woodwork, which was useful. It wasn’t good on the car – if you make the pressure ‘safe’ for cars it means the dirt remains… but I don’t buy if for car cleaning. Nice machine, but needs some ergonomic redesig

Great jet wash that should last a long time.
I needed a new jet wash as my old one started to leak water. I was unsure which one to get but in the end I went with this one and I’m glad I did. My favourite thing about this jet wash is the lance that spins the water (I’m not sure of it’s name). It makes jet washing my patio and rubber so easy without any effort at all and it’s never looked so clean. The standard lance is ok for washing my car and giving things a general clean but it’s not overly powerful but it still does the job well. The patio cleaner fluid that came with the set is very easy to install on the jet wash and it smells really nice once applied. The small bottle has done my garden 3 times so far and I could easily get another one out of it. I’ve also brought the car shampoo and snow foam attachment separately which I would also recommend because it makes cleaning the car alot easier. Over all I’d recommend this jet wash and I feel like there is no need to get the latest models because this one does everything I need it to do at a high standard and it’s a lot cheaper too.

No braine
I replaced my old Karcher with this one and would never buy another brand. Reliable, powerful and easy to use. It transforms my outdoor space every spring and is worth every penny. It’s very, very heavy though and would be great if it had an extendable handle (like a suitcase) to make it easier the wheel around and move though.

Good would recommend.
I’ve had a couple of good pressure washers. This is as good as any. Recommend.

Pull up handle is a bit flimsy but good enough.
Powerful with a selection of heads. Tried it with the rotator on an old garden chair as an experiment. Tore the fabric.

Quite a bit of assembly required. Straightforward though.

USE THE APP FOR ASSEMBLY much clearer. The instruction book is next to useless and the PDF is just the instruction book.

Pipe is stiff and inflexible. It would be better if rubber and flexible.

Karcher k4
Easy to put together powerful and does what it’s supposed to do

Brilliant replacement for my not so powerful k2 pressure washe
Hard to assemble, easy to use and setup once assembled, the hose and the wands and accessories are cheaply made, I can see them breaking or cracking with a lot of use, I’ve upgraded straight away to 1/4″ quick connect trigger and lance using the Krcher k series quick connect, I’ve just purchased a anti kink rubber reinforced 10 meter high pressure hose with Krcher connectors online from a reputable manufacturer in the UK who do them specially for car detailing and commercial environments, the hose has linked several times winding it in.

As for rest of the accessories and Krcher shampoos I will not be using them on my car or patio as I don’t want to damage my paintwork or my brick work with something that doesn’t tell you what it contains. I just don’t want to run the risk.

I will use them for bicycles and scooters and outdoor toys and areas that’s not visible all year round.

As for power it’s very powerful and does the job no chemicals needed, makes my k2 look like it’s been used daily for 20 years it’s that powerful. 130 bar is enough to clean a patio and car without damaging it set to the right setting.

Pretty good.
The only fault I’d give this product is there’s nowhere to coil the hose reliably, the picture is quite deceptive.
Otherwise, it’s transformed car washing and made the garden path look like new; just be very careful about which pressure / attachment you’ve chosen for what’s about to get blasted… have ruined some garden furniture with the strongest attachment which is really for things like stone and brick.
I would recommend an angled attachment (I got the VP 180 S) for car underbody cleaning.
I wouldn’t recommend the Karcher snow foam lance, there are plenty of better products on the market designed to fit a Karcher which have brass fittings and deliver better results.

Easy to use and does the job!
Basic machine fine. Detergent applicator system seems to be an issue. Very variable application depending on how ‘thick’ the actual detergent is. Trying to use general detergent could get no flow when set up as indicated. Trying to press bottle in further resulted in receptacle cup breaking. Only way to get a flow was to remove all cap Fittings and use just the bottle. With the detergent this works however with glass finisher with fitting in bottle nothing flows. Taking out fitting the whole bottle goes through in about 1 minute use. So as a basic pressure washer works fine but needs a much more reliable attachment to use any cleaning products. Do the manufacturers ever test their products before offering for sale?? In this case it would seem not!

It works!
It cleans grime off my sandstone patio as hoped for / shown, and brick walls, the car, the drive, wheelie bins, windows, and anything you can think of. It works brilliantly. The pressure – 130bar/1880psi – is perfectly adequate. Recommended.

he benchmark
I have this and a battery operated one from a different manufacturer.
The battery one by comparison is weaker but easier to hold and far more portable.
However when it comes to function, its hard to beat the Karcher.
I can clean the driveway, wash the car and clean the patio in half the time.
As a result its hard to beat the Karcher, at least in my limited experience.

Brilliant and well priced power washe
Admittedly, this is the 2nd Karcher K4 I’ve had, as the first one gave up after 2 years at the hose support clip on the back. The first models were made with a plastic elbow on the back, and this is where the leak failed.

On the newer models (such as this one) I’m pleased to say that this poor design flaw has now been replaced with a metal elbow.

The newer design also has an updated version of the gun, and a longer hose (which complaints were made about on the previous models)

I’ve since used this one on both the car, and the patio, which is fantastic and easy to use.

One tip for car users would be to replace the bottle with a better one. If I’m able to recommend one on this, it would be to look for Autobrite Snow Foam Lance, which has variable controls (and no. I don’t work for Autobrite, or get any money for recommendations)

Definitely a good buy in all ways, and would highly recommend this

In a class of its ow
For me pressure washing is a necessary evil. I really hate doing it, I always end up cold, wet and splattered with dirt. This Karcher K4 model however is in a class of its own and really elevates the experience compared to my old clapped out machine (also a Karcher). There are a few design elements that make this one much more pleasant to use.

First of all, it’s really quiet (for a pressure washer). Second, the hose is really long at 8 metres. It means I don’t need to keep moving the machine about so much. In fact I can do virtually all my patio area not move the machine at all. This is a huge bonus as I always end up with the hose pipe, the mains water hose pipe and the electricity cable all tangled up. Third, the handle is really comfortable to use and allows the user to select various pressures. Fourthly, there are a selection of heads supplied for different tasks including a beefy rotating spray for cleaning paving, which cuts down the amount of spray and dirt thrown around. It’s much more heavy duty than my old one.

WIth a 1.8kW motor, this is a powerful machine. It’s noticeable that my paving isn’t as wet and flooded as it used to be with my old one – I put that down to the power being greater so it doesn’t need as many passes to get clean, hence using less water overall.

There’s a receptacle on the main machine for detergent, a patio cleaner is supplied with the unit and a car cleaner is available separately.
The app support mentioned is basically a glorified instruction manual, this isn’t a smart item that links to the app in any way. It’s useful to have though.

The only draw back with the long hose is that it’s a pain to store. The pipe has mind of its own and doesn’t willingly coil back up to rest neatly on the little holder built into the machine. The cord storage pouch isn’t that great either. So it does look a bit of an untidy mess after each use.

This is a heavy item, with a retractable handle to drag it around like a suitcase. Not an issue for short trips but if you have a lot of steps in your garden, or you travel with it and lift in your car a lot you’ll notice the weight.

In summary this is really useful and powerful washer. For anyone who is maddened by less powerful jet washers like me it really is worth the extra power, hose length and general build quality.

Excellent company to deal with
Bought the K4 pressure washer to replace an old and worn out Black and Decker one, and so glad I did. It did the job of scrubbing my concrete driveway 100% better than the B&D.
I did have a minor problem with one of the parts, however I contacted Karcher via email with a couple of photos attached and within 7 days a brand new part was delivered FOC, no argument.
What a quality product and what a quality company to deal with.
Other companies should take note of how to deal with customers.

A bit awkward to store hose but brilliant at doing its job
I would give this 4.5 stars if I could as it’s almost perfect, but isn’t. If it were easier to assemble (or even came fully put together) and if the high pressure hose were easier to wind up and store, then it would be a straight 5. But while it works brilliantly, removing dirt from our patios with ease, this lack of attention to storage is irritating. The hose has a mind of its own and resists being rolled up neatly, leaving sprawling lengths of hose all around the place when not in use. When in use, though, it is a joy and I would strongly recommend it for larger household tasks.

Very good once built but assembly instructions poo
Once assembled, a very effective piece of kit. Surprised at how poor the instructions were, based on previous experience with Karcher products. Quite intuitive assembly, but admit to a quick youtube check to figure out some steps! On first use, the hose between the unit and lance needed some work to unravel and it wanted to remain in loops for some time. The adjustable lance display is useful. Cleaning the car is a joy and the maximum setting for paths and patios is very effective. This is the third Karcher jet spray I’ve used and very satisfied to date.

Very easy to set up and foolproof cleaning
I have a smaller Karcher power washer and prior to that, I’ve used another brand model for some years. Both worked well; the Karcher I bought to replace a heavier and more bulky cleaner I’d been using for some 15 years. I love the Karcher. It’s lightweight, easy to operate and effective. It cost me less than 100 ( as a lightning deal) so I wondered how or whether this K4 smart washer would compare.

I’m blown away! It takes power hose cleaning to a different level. Firstly, with the App, it miraculously understands the surface to be cleaned and adjusts the strength accordingly. I don’t have to mess around adjusting nozzles or spray width to remove the gunk. But the cleaner tool is incredible. Instead of being splashed by residual spray, this dedicated cleaning head contains all the water and directs it to the area to be tackled. There’s no wet feet or legs from backsplash and it sweeps across paving slabs and concrete, bringing both to crisp new fresh state. If required, a bottle with cleaning solution can be attached quickly. I’ve only used cold tap water and it’s worked very well.

This cleaner is more costly. Is it worth the extra? I’d have to say yes because it takes away much of the manual effort of the smaller and lower powered version. Given the brand, I’m confident that I’ll get year# of use from the cleaner and can add a wide range of accessories I I wish. It’s an all round winner.

Works well
I had a K4 full control before but it had the plastic connection for the hose which continually popped off when the water tap was turned on. This is the newer model with metal connections and now no issues, much better hose connections stay on. Make sure you get a newer model with metal hose connection. Also this is the Full Control
Model and NOT the smaller Compact K4. All works brilliantly. Would highly recommend.Karcher provide a water cooled motor which allows the unit to be used for a longer period of time without cutting off due to excess heat.
I had used it for every task under the sun ,Boats ,cars.patios,roofs and the block paving drive at the front of the house.
Only fault is that the hose needs to be less plastic and more rubber. Apart from that excellent product. Power great, even gets the 20 year moss off with minimal effort.
My previous, smaller, Karcher power washer developed a leak inside the sealed unit which I assumed would be irreparable. I note in the instruction booklet that an ‘aqua-lock’ connection must NOT be use on the hose connector to the device – could this have led to the ‘leak’ issues on my old model? My only concern now is that my new K4 is very heavy to lift, which must be done sometimes. Time will tell how reliable the K4 is!

A1 quality , 130 bar is a good pressure but wouldnt go any lowe
The patio cleaner isn’t great , but that depends if you removing heavy moss but its ok on lightly soiked slabs . The hose needs to be rubber and not the very stiff plastic . Its awkward to unwind and constantly wants to follow its natural coil when in use
