    The next best thing to an actual Pizza Ove
    As many have stated you kinda need to ignore some of the instructions to get the results you want,

    1) ignore the temp gauge (get yourself a laser thermometer)

    2) Heat up with your lid closed if you can (on gas powered bbq

    3) Pizza takes 3:30-4:30 ish to cook I was turning every minute or so

    4) I also cooked with the BBQ lid closed as it seemed to retain heat better

    5) I would recommend grated mozzarella over cows milk mozzarella balls as they leave a pool of milky water on the pizza

    6) Purchase a good pizza peel

    7) Allow time for your pizza slab to get up to temperature don’t rush in as first pizza won’t be great

    Using the methods above I got to 300 Celsius / 570 Fahrenheit, this gave us amazing pizza at a fraction of buying a pizza ove

    Great, but ignore the temperature gauge
    1st time followed the instructions and it took 10 mins + to cook a disappointing pizza.
    Followed advice from friend – get it as HOT as you can. Wow – 2-3 mins and amazing pizza!
    Longevity of the oven at higher temps I can’t comment on as only use it 4 times.
    Semolina is your friend, as is a decent pizza peel. Otherwise it’s really difficult to get in the oven without losing most for your toppings.

    Good quality
    With closed bbq the temperature reaches the wishing levels much faster. I have doubts only for the base under the stone. The temperature there is very high and the material is not stainless still. I used it 3 times and for now everything works grea

    I used mine today for the first time to cook 18 pizzas for a party, really easy to use and great tasting pizza’s. i used it on a gas BBQ which made it easy to regulate the temperature. I found it worked best when the temperature was just in ‘hot’ and regular turning to get it cooked perfectly! Would highly recommend.

    Fantastic product and a fraction of the cost of others
    Unless you have room to build a real pizza oven in your garden, this is the next best thing. I had an Ooni and while it was fun and simple to use, using gas or pellets doesn’t give the real flavour of a wood-fired oven.
    I’ve been using this over my BBQ using logs to heat it for the last 12 months and I can honestly say I love it.
    It cooks the pizzas beautifully and quickly, and has no moving parts to go wrong etc.

    Flaws:
    If I was to be picky, I’d point out that the open design means the entrance is a little narrow, so getting the pizza off the peel requires practice. I’d also point out that the temperature dial on the top is useless, and spins round and round as it heats. But that’s a great excuse to get a cheap laser thermometer. Lastly, it doesn’t cook a pizza in 60-90 seconds, it’s more like 2-3 minutes. But it’s cooked PERFECTLY.

    Tips:
    Learn to make a proper pizza base, knead the dough properly and let it rest/rise. Then you’ll get a properly ‘inflated’ crust.
    Don’t overload the base. Neapolitan pizza is meant to be basic.
    Heat it properly. Wood is best.
    If you’re looking for a BBQ to use, Argos sell an oil drum BBQ that it fits like it was made for it.

    I strongly recommend this oven.

    great item
    Nice item and well finished, easy to fit on my gas bbq. I heated it up for the required time to get to the mid point in the heat range and popped in my pizza, it was cooked in a few mins to perfection. It does what it does , so what more can you ask or say about it. Being made from stainless steel it should last for a long time or at least till the stone is dropped.

    Came fully assembled, is well built and has produced perfectly cooked pizza a number of times already. What a brilliant idea and far more cost-effective than buying a purpose built oven.

    Highly recommended.
