Certainly does the job it was designed to do. Assembly was mostly straightforward and simple. Affordable price without doubt. One slight glitch that prevented us from giving it a 5-star review: our lawn mower appears to squeal for a split-second when getting up to speed, though this may be normal, if say, a belt is slipping or something like that. But it doesn’t affect the cutting action in the slightest. Thank you.

It’s early days but on its first outing on my undulating hillside “lawn” it was very responsive and not once got bogged down even though the grass was quite long and damp. Time will tell ( had to return 2 flymo hover mowers already this year as they didn’t survive) but so far so good.

It cuts ok and does the job but after a couple uses I noticed it had a very noisy squeaking sound when starting up which eased off when at full running power.

I’m struggling to tighten the bolts sufficiently on the lower part of the handle meaning the the angle the handle is at keeps decreasing.

Other than that it does the job

It does a great job, be careful not to cut long grass or your blade may get faulty. Other than that, it does it’s job and yeah… I’m not regretting buying i

Arrived today, assembled, tested late afternoon. Assembles easily noting larger washers go to centre; the two screws which attach the two tubular frames to the body are self-tappers, these will only screw up so far before extra force is required, the holes in the tubular are pilot only and the self-tappers cut their own thread. In mowing I needed to use extra cable, but this isn’t a problem to me. It’s worth noting that I found this machine to be excellent in use straight away. –No ‘having to get used to this-and-that’ –it all works so naturally–and I’ve never used a Hover mower before. My expensive petrol cylinder mower cannot cut some stubborn longer grasses and just flattens them; I’ve previously had to use long clippers to remove them–with this hover I was delighted that it was shearing them to order–this was without spacers–it’s obvious that the spacers would be needed for a finer cut. I especially like the double triggers; very unusual, if one hand gets tired squeezing, then change to the other hand! There’s a cord restrainer at the handle of a type I haven’t seen before–very sensible. It’s all put together with good materials and should last well–I’ve really got to say it’s a well-built job. At 96 decibels I think that’s about normal, but I’m doing what the makers suggest and am wearing ear defenders. The Instruction manual is in good English with accurate diagrams–only the four washers are illustrated wrongly–the larger pair supplied going to the centre. (they’re all the same size in the picture) Please note that these are early findings and not a long test–but I’m extremely pleased at this stage. FURTHER INFO’ After second usage of mower and changing blade height, I would recommend putting two layers of gaffa tape over the very sharp blades, just in case the plastic spanner could slip off (and it does) PLUS wearing thick leather gloves. I also found that when mowing uphill the mower can hover downhill quicker than expected, so I’m keeping the power cord well behind at all times. As previously stated, I’ve never used a hover mower before, but, at another attempt I’m still delighted with the product. I am adding this info’ purely out of conscience regarding safety for others–just watch that sharp blade!

I bought this as my old mower was bulky & hard to manoeuvre. This is lightweight & hovers nicely & cuts the grass as it should.

It’s not all plain sailing though. The first one I purchased had a faulty wing nut which did not tighten so I had to send it back. The replacement went together easily, but again, the wing nuts don’t seem to want to tighten again easily after loosening to fold down the handles for flat storage. I have space to store this upright, so it isn’t a big issue for me.

As long as you don’t mind gathering up your own grass cutting with a garden rake (available on amazon) it is fantastic and powerful machine
Although the first arrival had no bars to increase the handle height it was easy to return and another arrived the next day.

Cheap and good. Mows a larger than recommended lawn without a problem.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA perfectly good piece of kit for mowing a small to medium lawn. I bought it for a newly laid sloping front lawn and was torn between this and a fly-mow as I have had before. I was looking for a mower with a metal blade but not too heavy and it fits the bill. For me, the only thing I don’t like is the padded handle which makes the grip less definite. Other similar mowers without that feature are, in my opinion, better as they are that bit more controllable. Otherwise, a good product.

I love it. Im disabled and have major joint and mobility problems. This was easy for me to build and works brilliantly. It does hover over bumpy ground and does a good cut. I’m really pleased and highly reccomed especially at this price!

I really can’t fault this lawnmower. It’s very lightweight, but powerful and does an excellent job. It is perfect for what we wanted it for – a steeply sloping, awkward shaped lawn. It made short work of what had previously been a tedious, time-consuming job. I really couldn’t be more pleased.

Easy to set up. I have a small grassed area to cut and this mower suits me fine. I’m pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe motor is very powerful and the machine does properly float on a cushion of air. Thus it is easy to manoeuvre and do a reasonable good cutting job.The assembly is however fiddly .Firstly you have to insert the two down tubes fully into the plastic moulded tubes on the mower body such that the holes in the steel down tubes align with the holes in the plastic holding tubes. Then you can screw in the two self-tapping screws to hold the metal tube ends in the plastic tubes on the mower body. This you get a firm solid fit.Secondly the two brackets midway joining the third and second handle tubing ARE supposed to allow the the third handle to move slightly up and down as you mow .They are not meant to be rigid as they would be on other machines Lastly you may find as I did that the securing plastic headed nut for the steel blade takes superhuman effort to get it to loosen so you can add further spacers.Persevere ,it does give eventually but be careful not to injure your hands on the blade as you do this. I did !

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFabulous mower, really pleased with my first cutting. My lawn is extremely lumpy and the grass was long, but this mower made short work of it.
I took my time and went over some parts a few times, and now my lawn is manageable again.
The instruction manual is thorough and although I’m stiff with arthritis, it was straight forward to assemble and use.
