Feels sturdy. Instructions are terrible.
Do yourself a favour and find a UK based YouTube channel to give you the lowdown on how to assemble and set up. The included instructions are lacking.
Everything feels sturdy so far. Fingers crossed as reviews suggest a good number of units don’t last long.
Early indications are that this has doubled the electricity usage for my detached house. Be advised.
Fantastic
Omg what a spa ! I have fibromyalgia as does my husband. My husband set it up and it was easy , it heated up to 40 in less than 24 hours with cold water from the hose .when we used it omg amazing , I love the hydro jets the best , the built in cushions are comfy to , for us with fibromyalgia it’s heaven ! I totally recommend this amazing spa !
Fabulous produc
Bought this to replace a broken Miami hot tub. Very easy to assemble and great to use. Just that bit larger internally for 4 people comfortably.
Has been great fun and great value
Loved the product, put away as the weather got too cold but will be back out in the spring
The closest inflatable hot-tub you'll get to a solid spa.
Very happy with the Maldives Spa. Build quality is excellent. Packaged very well. Heavy, but easy to set up following the instructions. Inflated fully and after filling and heating, became very solid. As an owner of an Coyote Spa some years ago, I am impressed and think that this model is the closest we are likely to get to a solid spa with inbuild seats. Temperature takes approx. 2 days to get back up to 40 degrees in the Winter. Lid has needed inflating a couple of times but the tub remains solid after 4 months. Very happy.
Perfec
Perfect hot tube for home use, size is decent, easy to use, the best buy
superb !!!
ive had a few hot tubs and was worried about a few bad reviews , fear not …THIS IS THE BEST THING IVE EVER BOUGHT !!!!!
Having had Lay z spas before I have to say this is the best.
Inflation is simple. It does not have a separate outer skin to line up as my previous one did so it was much easier to inflate.
The base is very soft and comfy and feels padded somehow.
As it is 6 inches less in diameter than my previous one it takes less water and is much quicker to heat up. Also it feels bubblier, also due to the smaller size.
The freeze shield is a ni ce feature as I keep mine on all winter.
Brilliant Hot Tub
Wait months for this to come back on stock and was worth the wait. Easy setup. Looks cool. Really relaxing.
Best hot tub
Had 3 hot tubs now and this one is by far the best!
Stays clean for longer. Great value for money
Very easy to set up and looks great, I set mine up on some 10mm play foam mats with a bit of spare waterproof laminate flooring foam underlay which is really comfortable when sat in Spa, and I bought a good quality patio table cover to go over the lot to help with the heating and it really helps, the heater is not on nowhere near as much as before, i also got a round swimming pool blue bubble wrap sheet for the water surface before the inflatable cover goes on just to help keep the temperature up when not in use. I am really glad I bought this Spa and would certainly recommend it, The thin wall design is a very good idea and makes the tub a nice size inside. Just take a bit of care setting it up and dont over inflate it and it works a treat.
Better than I expected.
I was reluctant to buy a lay z spa as I actually wanted a proper hard sided hot tub. As a quick fix we decided to buy this one, I’m impressed. It’s really big which is what I wanted as some of them look really small inside. I like that it doesn’t look like the traditional lay z spa, in fact a guest who came over didn’t realise it was an inflatable. They thought it was real wood. Takes a bit of time to heat up so you have to be prepared. But I would recommend it.
Well pleased
It is easy to assemble and comfortable to use it really helps too rejuvenate my leg after my stroke so relaxing
Brilliant!
Brilliant! Glad we got this model! Worth the money! Feels like a really hot tub would recommend this model!
Maldives HYDEOJET Hot tub
Lovely item, our 3rd Lay-z-spa hot tub. This is so comfy.
However been trying to register warranty with Lay-z-spa and keeps being rejected, not happy due to cost of item we want to register the warranty.
Read the instructions & check out YouTube videos, because the instructions are really quite poor. However, once you’ve worked it out, installation is really simple & quick. The quality is very high, with the plastic being thick & durable. Connecting the inflated liner to the heater/filter unit is easy, and when running with the filter & heater switched on, the noise levels are low. The power cord is long, and it has a cut-out device built in to protect against electric shocks. The plug is small enough to fit a standard external socket & close the lid.
000
Changing the filter is simple, and a floating device makes adding chlorine painless & easy.
The display is easy to understand, but the locking button is a bit of a pain. You have to give a long press to unlock the controls, and it can get a little tiresome after the hundredth time of unlocking!
The filter is efficient, and the bubbles very good and energetic. It heats up fairly quickly, it went from 16 degrees to 40 degrees in around 24 hours, and it maintains the temperature well. The lid is large & sturdy with an inflateable inner that helps stop heat escaping. The buckles require two hands to open & should dissuade younger children, but if you have arthritis you might struggle a little – but the lid will remain in position without buckling up.
This is a large hot tub, it will take 4 adults without the need to keep your knees up around your ears. Some of the smaller models claim 4 adults can use them, but that’s an incredibly tight squeeze – this model is genuinely large enough for 4 adults.
A good quality, large hot tub. If you want a reliable hot tub with plenty of space, this will do the job very well
Pros: Quick to set up once even. Pumps up and heats quickly. Dead sturdy. Alexa feature is good, simple to set up with the skill. It’s amazingly comfy and relaxing. Great value for money as it was just under 400 when I bought it.
Cons:
1. Bit of a fiddle to get it even in the liner.
2. The manufacturer made a packaging error and the box states 120 jets on the 2021 model but the product on Amazon and Lay-z-spa website states 140 jets.
Convinced I had the wrong model Took a week and returning 1 used spa, (having had to drain and clean) to Amazon to get to this conclusion from the parent company, BestWay!
Poor ambience lighting
Best hot tub for the money in my opinion, very comfortable, loads of room, the seating is great, hydros are amazing.only downside to this is the ambient lighting, you only have it while the hydro jets are onwhich is such a shamewe bought additional underwater lighting pods from eBay.cheap and do the trick.
All in all though.this spa is really worth the money
I was a little rushed for time having to set this up and thought the worst it was going to take a couple of hours. Completely the opposite, We had it filling up with water in less than 30 minutes.
Instructions are fairly good, although some of the pictures did have us lining up the wrong pipes but it was obvious. Some text would be good.
Comfortable and relaxing. A good size and comfortably gets in 4 people with a nice amount of movement.
Build quality is very good.
As is does mention it will take 15-24 hours to heat up fully
Easy set up. Just follow the instructions.
Had one before. That good and larger than most. Bought another.

Good eady to set up
It was easy to assemble, fill and work the only thi g i find is the seats go down and so does the cover gor ever putting air i
First off I love this thing and had no problem getting it inflated, filled and running. The instructions aren’t great and despite the manual all being in English only has some unclear pictures for the important bits, however there really is only one way to connect everything so not that hard to work out.
I couldn’t get the wifi to connect with my Samsung phone so i pulled out my old iPhone and it connected first time with that. Really not sure who’s to blame for that one but something to be aware of. Once it was connected the app works fine on my Samsung phone though.
Finally this is only a six person hot tub if you’re filling it with toddlers. Two adults is comfortable; a third stops anyone really stretching out and relaxing properly; and six would only be feasible with a significant level of intimacy.
We debated endlessly whether to buy one of these and I did lots of research on the different brands and models available and read carefully various feedback given online.
I would highly recommend you take the plunge and buy one. So easy to set up, arrived in a small (but heavy) box and inflates in minutes. Takes a while to fill up, and a few hours to heat up but within an afternoon we were in and enjoying it.
Solid construction; soft comfortable base to sit on; pump/bubble machine is very quiet; comes with a decent length and robust cable and 3 pin plug; and the bubbles are really nice.
I think 6 adults would be a squeeze (but not impossible at all), but I couldn’t find one advertised with significantly larger dimensions that wasn’t solid and into the many thousands of pounds.
We love it. Go for it!
Totally amazing
he St Moritz Hot Tub is amazing and easy to use..great for a late night dip to help you relax and chill..and for having family and friends over to enjoy…
This is our first venture into a hot tub and we and the family are impressed. Works well, fits about 4 at a push, certainly 3 with ease and is not too big for me and the missus to enjoy either alone. I rested it on two layers of flooring. The Lay-z-spa and some garage / workout foam flooring to provide thermal protection below.
Costs to run… well I reckon just ticking over with no use, covered etc at 35oC, about 1.50 a day (it’s outside and in Yorkshire so depends on ambient temp!) rising to 4-4.50 when being hammered by the kids that don’t pay the leccy bill at 38oC +) for 10+ hours. We will probably empty it October to Mid-Spring as I suspect costs will outweigh the pleasures.
As for hassle… it’s like having another pet. Keeping up to the filter and chemicals is definitely worthwhile.
Brilliant fun item
Went with this model which is one of the more expensive inflatable options for my first delve into hot tubs as I was unsure about the inflatable element. I have to say very impressed. Instructions are reasonable, though could be more detailed. Relatively simple to put together and inflate. Once setup and filled with water though it’s brilliant.
Very sturdy, heater is good and efficient and jets are nice and powerful (don’t get me wrong this doesn’t have the fancy massage options of the expensive types) but for the money it’s great and all the family love it. We have used it every night so far. And just trying the timer option as busy for a few days.
Chemicals are a bit of a chew to get right, but I think that’s hot tubs in general. I would advise investing in foam mats underneath to protect and insulate for costs.
Suitable for kids as well (mine are eight and six) one of them has sensitive skin and no adverse reactions at all
Great easy to set up Spa for 2-4 adults with great features such as hydro jets!
I was surprised how easy it was to unpack and inflate. It’s a good size but I do not think it could comfortably have 7 people in it possibly 4 adults. Cannot fault it at all but would recommend you buy the Clearwater starter kit and look to social media such as Facebook where there are Lay Z Spa groups who are very helpful. The maintenance of the spa – filter and chemicals seemed daunting but I have soon got the hang of it. The LED lights took a while to work out how to install as you have to remove 2 of the jets and replace with the LED versions. Also recommend a skimmer and aqua vacuum and little sponges to draw any oils.
Fantastic
Really happy with our hot tub it arrived 2 days ahead of time and was easy to assemble
We’re in it everyday at the moment with this great weather so relaxing after work in the evening highly recommend i
My old Vegas hot tub had come to the end of its life so this is the replacement.. The hydrojets make such a difference to the overall spa feel. Sometimes I don’t even put bubbles on and just use the hydrojets.. very powerful
The side walls seem a lot better than the old vegas hot tub, they seem a lot more sturdy.
The only thing I’m a bit disappointed with is that it lacks a WiFi-connected pump, for a 2021 model it really should be coming with a WiFi pump so you can remotely turn the heater on and off but it’s only a small issue!
I bought this spa after being really disappointed with another make that broke shortly after buying it. My daughter with SEN loves water so I needed to find another reliable spa by a recommended manufacturer; I’ve found it with this model!
The set up was quick (instructions could’ve been a bit clearer [ended up looking on the internet to clarify some details]) and once it was filled with water, I left it on overnight and by the early morning, it was a wonderfully warm temperature and ready to use.
The jets are powerful and massaging, the spa appears sturdy and overall it is easy to use. The inflated lid is an added bonus to maintain the waters temperature and keep electricity bills affordable! The filter is easy to clean and the chlorine attachment is an added bonus.
It’s definitely worth paying the little extra money for a decent spa and I would highly recommend this model and manufacturer.
My daughter and I love it and have used it everyday since it was set up.
Brought at a brilliant price. We are a family of 5 it fits all of us in and have space to move round not all crushed in like ants. Easy to set up easy to put down
Highly recommend for a big family who want a hot tub. Loads of bubbles loads of room loads of fu
Wow! Awesome product.
This is a very impressive product for the price – amazing jets that radiate round the whole pool. Water heats fairly quickly and seems to maintain heat well. Very very easy to put up and install. Taking a while to get used to chlorine levels / management but overall this is an absolute great buy. I did think it might be a glorified paddling pool but it’s not at all – really lovely to sit in. It says 2-4 people and I think you’d have to be very friendly with each other to get 4 adults in but with 3 of us in my family (son is extremely tall!) It’s fine.
Rub a dub dub, thanks for the tub
We were hesitant to get a lazy spa and we’re going to pay quite a lot more for a proper all singing and dancing hot tub. However, I am so happy we didn’t. The Maldives is absolutely top. The seats are so comfy and the jets are really relaxing. The led lights give it an extra vibe in the evenings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a way to chill out after long days working.
Ok…….as with all inflatable spas you will get mixed reviews. My experience……it’s a big box and the components are heavy, 2 people required to lift into place. Once in place this thing is very easy to setup with one person. The inflation function makes short work of getting everything setup. It’s robust, you can sit on the edges. Once up, fill with water and then let it heat. I let the tub go up to 37 degrees celsius which I did in about 8hrs and then decided to give it a test. Turned it on…..airjets lovely, then hydrojets on and BOOM you’ve got a proper hot tub. Couldn’t test the lights as I think they need to charge up via the water flow and I tested during the day. So….after an hour and a half use the water temperature dropped to 34 degrees celsius from 37 degrees celsius. You can’t run the heat and the hydrojets at the same time, but this is normal for a plug and play hot tub. If you want to do both then spend 5k and wire in a 32 amp hot tub. However you can heat with the hydrojets off and the airjets on and it is lovely. so…. 1.3k vs 5k……no brainer!!!!!!!!! Costs….get your timings right, heat during the day when the sun is up and it is the same as running a small oil heater. It cost me 4 to get it up to temperature. Lost 3 degrees celsius during the night. I’m sure winter will be more of a challenge but shield the tub with a pergola and keep the wind off and I would expect a small rise in costs but manageable. Quick tip: Buy the headrests and the drink holders and relaaaxxxxx.
Excelle
Excellent pieced kit. A little fiddly to inflate all the internal parts seating etc. But worth it.
Great sized lay-z-spa
It says 5 to 7 people, but personally, I would say no more than 4 would be comfortable (and just 1 or 2 people in it is great!). It was very easy to set up and is really comfortable (I actually prefer the idea of these “cheap” spas over the hard sided expensive “proper” ones as you can sit how you like and the edge doubles as a comfortable head rest). The only downside is all the other stuff I have found I then want to pay money out on to go with it (eg – a good solid gazebo to give it some protection from the British weather through the year, an outdoor electric socket, drinks holders, towel rail etc). Chemicals much easier to manage than I feared. Really wished we’d splashed out on one of these long ago.
Glad I bought i
Bought just before 2020 lockdown and it’s being inflated and operational since then ( apart from 3 monthly water changes) , we have it inside a outbuilding and have enjoyed both summers and winter in it . Had an issue with the coupling failing on the suction after a few weeks but it was due to the inflatable and the pump not being lined up exactly and the strain caused the failure . But Bestway sent us a replacement part in 2 days, so can’t fault them for that . Apart from that the unit has run perfect , have noticed that when the water change happens I do now get a drip from the circ pump until it warms up , but then it stops so suspect a pump housing seal gasket is due. In the next few months .But not bad for 15 months continuous operation .
Fantastic produc
So much better than my old Wave hot tub in every way!
Once assembled and the cofusing instructions are deciphered it is a very good product
You have to anticipate the weather 10-12 hours in advance though,
Grandkids love it so worth the money also bought it with grey under mat and chemical start pack as an amazon package, found out the manufacturer don’t support the package they send with i
It’s lovely, the tub is strong and the jets are amazing. It’s very expensive on the electric to run it especially when you use the jets/bubbles. 2 to 6 a day depending on how many times the jets are switched on. I don’t think it’s big enough for 4 people unless they’re really small, skinny people!!!! Comfortable with 2 people in it though. Having said that it is a luxury item and it is very luxurious, relaxing, and sensational when in the hot tub.
I bought a spa to make 2020 a little more bearable. The lay Z Spa, Maldives hydrojet pro was the only one I could find that would be delivered from stock, so it was an un-researched purchase and I had to pay over 50% more than the “normal” price due to high demand. I couldn’t be more happy, the spa is spacious. It is set out for 2 or 3 people to enjoy, with 2x inflated lounge beds and an inflated stool (allowing outstretched legs to be in a curtain of bubbles). I have no doubt you could get up to 7 people in it (it is marketed as a 5 to 7 person spa) but it would be too cosy for me. The air curtain around and through the centre if the spa and 8x hydro jet feature works well and the 2x interchangeable multi colour LED hydro jets are a nice touch.
It is easy to put together and get started, i did it alone, I am 60yrs old (not one of these marathon running 60yr olds) and other than moving the delivered package to the site to install it there is minimal effort required.
2 points I will draw attention to, as I am prone to scantily read instructions, and these 2 instructions are easily missed. I assumed the inflation hose was missing a gasket so made one from the packing foam to prevent air escaping and enable a rapid inflation of the spa. The escaping air, I later read, is deliberate and prevents accidental over inflation. After a few (6) days of use the spa stopped heating up, the spa has a timed function which steps in once you reach 90hrs continuous use and gives the machine a rest.
I prefer the ability to stretch out and sit where you want to the sculptured hard plastic expensive models. The walls of the inflatable spa are however in risk of puncture and I would imagine an adult cat treating one of the corners as a scratching post could cause a puncture.
Absolutely brilliant! I upgraded to the Maldives hydrojet model for this yr after having the Miami last summer. We wanted a bigger spa and decided to go for the hydrojet to see the difference and wow so glad we did ! Easy to set up even comes with a mat for underneath so no need for the ugly jigsaw piece foam mats. I half filled with cold and half with hot water from my kitchen taps and it was up to 40degrees within 3 hrs. The pump on this is much quieter and the quality is ten fold u def get what you pay for. So we finally got in it this evening for the first time and OMG the hydrojets are amazing exactly like any acrylic spa we have used i cannot fault it at all. It’s huge my other half is 6ft 2 and could still stretch out. It’s super deep and the built in seating is perfect. This is definatly worth every penny and most definately a big upgrade from the Miami I can’t wait to get in it again tomorrow.. the LED lights which work via the jets are also brilliant we just LOVE it ..happy to be in lockdown now 🙂
This hot tub is so easy to put up. Is very very sturdy. It looks great the hydro jets are an added bonus there is actually nothing I can fault it for. We have had it up and running for a month and a half now and it just keeps getting better and better. It is quite high on the electric But that is to be expected for the amount of water it has to heat up and maintain the temperature. It’s going 24/7 as we use it every day.
The top cover is going down all the time and when it rains the cover sags down in the middle I think there is an air leak in the white air bed under the cover cos it won’t keep the air in other than that money well spent am very happy with i
This was more robust than we thought and are really pleased with it. The only minus side is that some parts were tucked away underneath the lid of the pump/heater which we didn’t realise and thought that some parts were missing. One of the lights gave up after a couple of days.
I just love the Maldives, it’s so spacious and comfortable. The hydro jets are amazing. Would highly recommend this tub, well made and can sit 6 people comfortably. I upgraded from the Vegas which I loved and now being used by my daughter.
