Great little interactive book My toddler might still be a bit too young to understand the touching the images etc.. but he lives pressing the little star that lights up and listens to the French song. I’m sure he’ll use the book more as he grows.
Even better than expected I’d heard about this little words book so thought I’d get one for my 15 month old – as she’s just starting to talk and I thought it would be helpful- and what a pleasant surprise! It’s even better than it looked in the description. It’s really clever how she can turn the pages of the book and lightly touch each thing to hear the word. The French part is not needed really – for us – but you can easily switch it off. I do worry she will figure out the switch and be confused by the French, but that’s my only negative. I’ve no doubt her learning is going to increase now because of this great book. Totally worth the reasonable cost. The pages are tough too so she can’t rip them.

I would say it’s worth for the money, as my daughter loves this book and it’s her among her favourite things. It also helped her to learn more words within a matter of weeks.

Attractive, educational and fu This item is colourful, well made and educational. In fact, I have been so pleased with this purchase that I purchased a second one as a gift. Despite enthusiastic use by my very young grandchildren, the pages do not tear and they turn easily. The images are simple and colourful and the sound is clear. It is bilingual because with the flick of a switch, the words are spoken in French. As a former teacher, this gets my vote 100%.

A durable, education, and fun product! We bought this for my son’s birthday because he loves pointing at things in books and having you name them, we thought this could do the job for us! I have lots of good things to say about this and one small gripe.
Volume settings
Two volume settings is great – lots of toys come with these now, and the lower one is usually enough! It’s good to have the options though in case we’re in a louder environment.
Ease of use
You don’t need to read instructions for this – it’s really obvious how to operate straight out of the box. The various buttons (on/off, volume, English/French, song star) are clearly labeled, and our one came with batteries already in it so it was good to go from out of the box.
Durability
This is a big one for us! Our son is 14 months old and doesn’t have total awareness of where his body parts are yet. He squats over this when he uses it and often ends up standing on it. This hasn’t affected the operation at all! It is totally up to the challenge of a heavy child treating it as a seat or stepping stone!
Gripe
My only gripe on this product is that if you leave it alone for a minute or so, it stops responding. You have to turn it off and on again to ‘wake it up’. This is a bit of a shame because it means if my son doesn’t continue to engage with it, he can’t return to it without my help (the on/off button isn’t something a baby could operate). So sometimes he goes over to push some of the pictures and is disappointed and confused when nothing happens. That’s a bit annoying when we want to encourage him to use the thing, so we have to be quick in turning it off and on before he loses interest.

Educational and Interactive Our son enjoys this book, but at the age of 2 he finds it difficult to press the buttons without part of his hand touching a different button. So he could be aiming to press a cow and get the sound of a horse by accidentally tapping it with his hand. However, he finds the animal noises fascinating and considering how many times he’s pressed the armadillo button and laughed at the sound, the button is showing good durability and remaining in one piece!
Takes getting used to but it's brilliant! One criticism here is that the pages are REALLY Sensitive – you basically hover your finger over the page from a couple of mms away and the book will talk to you. So there is a cacophony of sounds and noises with this book which take some getting used to (like a lot of children’s resources). BUT it’s a firm favourite in this house and the buttons and even the slides are easy for small hands to operate.
Brought for the reviews I was seeing this product recommend everywhere! So with a toddler who is stubborn when it comes to using words I give it a go! So far she has fun flicking page after page and the music button. I think in time she will start to press the buttons and hopefully start repeating the words. It’s very sturdy and well made.

Amazing This is absolutely what I wanted. My daughter has just turned 2 and isn’t talking yet. She knows and understands a lot of animal names so I wanted something where she presses a picture to hear the name of the animal and the sound it makes, hoping that it would encourage her to try to say the words. This does exactly that. She’s still not speaking but she will in time. This is a superb learning tool and fabulous fun and entertainment for little animal loves. I love it. Well worth every penny. I actually thought it was very reasonably priced having said that.
