Lechuza Cottage Cube 50cm Rattan Look White Self Watering Square Planter Pot
Cube Cottage
If you’re looking for a beautiful way to add large plants to your décor, then the Cube Cottage is the perfect planter. This spacious cube-shaped container is designed for plants with bigger roots, such as lemon trees or ficus plants. Plus, the Cube Cottage’s natural wicker finish allows you to seamlessly incorporate it into your home’s current indoor and outdoor furnishings.
Self-Watering Simplicity
Like most Lechuza planters, the Cube Cottage comes equipped with an easy-to-lift liner that makes planting simple. A signature water reservoir that supplies water to your plants as needed extends time between watering. Users can easily monitor their water reservoir levels with the planter’s water level indicator, which shows when the reservoir needs to be refilled. This takes the guesswork out of plant care and lets you go weeks without additional watering.* (*Time varies depending on planters, planter size, and environment.) Also included with this planter is Lechuza’s specially-formulated plant substrate, Lechuza Pon which separates your potting soil from the water reservoir, aerates the roots, provides your plants with nutrition, and helps regulate the water supplied to your plant.
Indoor and Outdoor Versatility
As an indoor and outdoor planter, the Cube Cottage is outfitted with a drainage plug to allow for the removal of excess rainwater when installed outdoors. This feature makes the Cube Cottage ideal for annuals, blooming plants and foliage.

I am fairly new to gardening, and needed a little help to maintain my plants and hedges. I purchased 4 of these to hold my Portuguese Laurel hedges., but will buy two more smaller ones for my plants.
The quality and design of these is the best that I have ever purchased. I also purchased two 50cm ones from a different supplier that was clearly lacking features amd build quality, These Lechuza planters come with everything you need. I did fork out for some quality compost (John Innes Compost) for a 33 Litre bag (7.99). If you pay good money for your planter, do not skimp on the compost, it does make a difference. The compost I was advised to get, does retain the water more than the cheaper ones.
PROS
– The water indicator was one of the prime reasons I purchased these, and they work a treat.
– The inbuilt water reservoir and water level indicator is perfect for anyone with a busy lifestyle.
– Comes with a gravel to assist with drainage.
– Has large drainage channels in the base. To date, I have not found any other make with such large drainage features.
– The internal container has 4 handles, others I purchased only come with 2. When filled these are heavy, so 4 hand,es is a must have.
– Unlike delicate pot planters, these are strong and built to last.
– They add a touch of class to the garden.
– The are relocatable, but you will need a sack barrow to move them. They have left enough space underneath to both allow water to drain away, and to use get the sack barrow plate underneath.
CONS:
None
I don’t write many reviews, but the quality and results led to me to sharing my experience.
You get what you pay for, not cheap, but very good quality and design.
I have Lechuza planters for all of my house plants — I just love these planters and so do my plants! No more yellow leaves and my plants grow big and full. Recently, I purchased the Cube Cottage 50 Planter for an indoor Palm tree. It was the best way to manage the amount of water my plant needs and it looks great. It’s sleek and modern like the rest of my decor.
I absolutely love Lechuza products. This is a perfect solution to a person who kills plants on a regular basis.
I love the fact that I don’t over/udnre water with the test tube device and I think the way it is manufactured
clearly shows a quality product. I am getting ready to purchase another one soon.
*-Note: I didn’t receive my ‘test tube’ in a previous order and called Customer service and it took them
a full month to ship out the replacement, however, they were very gracious (albeit slow in processing the replacement
part).
Beautiful planters. Arrived sooner then expected. My wife loves them.
