I have a 7 year old and they love Lego.
They had a few small sets from Lego Friends and Lego City but I wanted a big box of more traditional bricks so she can build much bigger structures. This was perfect.
Was the best choice for the money and has loads of really nicely coloured bricks inside. Keeps my 7 year old busy for hours… and I still enjoy playing with it too.

(This was going to be for Easter but circumstances mean that they have received it a few weeks early). I am very glad that I had this on hand to help occupy them.
My daughter has loved building the included projects, the ones in the leaflet and the ones on the website. Whereas my son is more of a freestyler and has just loved building whatever his imagination comes up with.
There is an awful lot of space in the box though, once you’ve opened the bags. I’m thinking that we will amalgamate some of the other lego sets we have which now have missing pieces, so it has given us somewhere to store the bricks. Like that this is a plastic box, so hopefully it will prove to be durable.
Overall – love it, and will definitely be getting more classic lego in the future.

This was a valentines present for my husband, the only thing I would say is that it’s not the same size box as the storage boxes. Anyone who looked at it would probably know that, I just really want to build a sofa with the storage boxes so was a little disappointed. All my own doing. Great price.

This was exactly right for my little granddaughter. We bought it as a starter pack . It comes with a booklet showing how to make about 8 different models all of which can be made from the box without having to dismantle previous models. Each took her about half an hour – just right for her attention span. Apparently if you look online there are other similar suggestions. I’m sure she will soon be making her own inventions but it has given her lots of ideas. There were lots of ‘eyes’ which pleased her and some wheels to make cars and an engine. She loves it. Probably best from 4 years but she is actually only 3

Interesting selection of Lego bits and pieces – a larger proportion of standard size bricks would enable one to build more simple structures, rather than the multitude of fiddly items suggested in the enclosed leaflet. This would also reduce the empty space in the huge box!

Great but needs a bigger base
Went down very well with a 4 year old boy who loves to play lego when he visits. Handy yellow case for transporting and loads of pieces, but the green base is super tiny. Luckily I had a bigger one he could take home.

Nice big box of legos! We use the box to store other legos and completed items and there’s plenty of roomZ we use the lid and the 8 compartments to separate the legos that we want to use for our next built. It keeps pieces from gettting lost and it’s more organized that way. It also helps that we store the color groups in individual self seal plastic bags, it’s just easier to sort that way.

My niece loves this gift! The box is really handy for storing the Lego in, and there is plenty of room to add more Lego, the box looks a bit empty if anything! There are quite a few easy models to make, and of course you can just make it up too. Great fun for kids and big kids.

This Lego box (10696) contains 484 pieces. I couldn’t seem to find this information prior to purchase. That said, I paid a great price and, although I had to wait a month for the item to come back in stock, my God-son will be so pleased and it’s arrived well in time for Christmas. To compare, Lego set 10692 contains 221 pieces. Amazon service excellent as always, in my opinion.
