This is a great LEGO fun packed adventure for Hogwarts addicts

The eco packaging was OK. I was concerned it would lack the feeling for a gift, but it was fine.
A fun set with nice detail
Some really nice touches like the mandrakes that you can pull out the pots and see their little faces. Lots of play potential. Built with one child and three adults doing different sections but a child who enjoys following the instructions would get plenty of time to build it. I think it’s good value for money although we got ours with vouchers and while it was on sale. Comes with spare wands.

Ein weiteres Set fr die magische Lego Harry Potter Welt um den Zauberernachwuchs in Hogwarts! Im Fokus diesmal: Teil 6, Harry Potter und der Halbblutprinz! Das zentrale Gebude umfasst den Astronomieturm und herrlich nachzustellen aus Roman und Film sind: Die berhmte Weihnachtsfeier des Prof. Slughorn, Prof. Sprouts Gewchshaus-Szene mit den Alraunen, Prof. Slughorns Bro, den Schlafsaal der Ravenclaws (Luna’s Domizil) und die Unterrichtsrume fr den Astronomie-Unterricht. Der Astronomieturm ist von auen wieder sehr detailgetreu und liebevoll ganz im mittelalterlichen Stil gefertigt mit den romantischen Zinntrmen nebst Spitzen, dem gelben Sandstein und den angedeuteten verwitterten Backsteinen sowie den vergitterten kleinen Burgfenstern. Das offene Entree im unteren Bereich des eigentlichen Astronomieturmes und der Eingang des Gebudes daneben sind als historische Rundbgen gearbeitet und lassen den Glanz lngst vergangener Epochen erahnen. Das Eingangstor des Nebengebudes ist als angedeutete massive Eichenholztr dargestellt. Im Erdgeschoss ist das Refugium von Prof. Sprout im Miniformat vorhanden: Ein niedliches kleines Gewchshaus nebst Spitzdach mit lichtdurchfluteten angedeuteten Glasfenstern bestckt, einer grnen Grasflche als Boden und einiger Blumenkbel, welche die berhmten Alraunen beherbergen. Der Eingangsbereich kann sowohl die Unterrichtsrume des Prof- Slughorn als auch seine privaten Rumlichkeiten darstellen, worin er die Weihnachtsfeier ausrichtet: Man erkennt diverse Mixturgefe und Privatgegenstnde von Prof. Slughorm, die wohl auf seine Privatgemcher hindeuten sollen. Ein massiver groer Kronleuchter mit Kerzen vervollstndigt den Antik-Look. Die 4 kleinen Burgfenster unterstreichen den Mittelalter-Touch und versprhen eine heimelige Atmosphre. Die Astronomie-Unterrichtsrume in der 3. sowie 4. Etage sind ebenfalls wieder sehr detailgetreu und liebevoll ausgestattet: Sogar eine verstellbare Armillarsphre mit Saturn-Model, ein komplexeres Fernrohr sowie ein Podest mit einer aufgerollten altertmlichen Sternenbild-Schriftrolle ergnzen die Rumlichkeiten. Als Figuren mit enthalten sind: Harry im Abendanzug, Hermine und Luna im Festdress, Neville in seiner Kellneruniform, Ron, Lavender, Draco und natrlich Prof. Slughorn sowie Hedwig mit ausgebreiteten Flgeln. Lavender ist mit einer Haarschleife dekoriert, welche man mittels zweier Lcher an verschiedenen Stellen platzieren kann. Alle Figuren haben wie immer 2 Gesichter. Neville bringt ein Kellnertablett mit und auch mehrere Trinkpokale bzw. angedeutete Kristallglser sind vorhanden. Dieses tolle Set ist wieder einmal wunderbar kompatibel zur groen Halle, peitschenden Weide und zum Uhrenturm.
My son loved building this, good sturdy pieces, easy to build, and looks geat once built.
Although I personally find these sets expensive, the final product once assembled is great.
Probably the best Harry Potter set after the Great Hall one.

This lego is fantastic, you can not beat lego as a present and if you have a child who loves Harry Potter as well, this set is a must. My daughter had a great time building all her lego and then hours of playing, she loves all the lego figures and the detail in the sets.

L’unico appunto riguarda la confezione: non ho notato differenze tra l’imballaggio standard e quello sostenibile.

This is a wonderfully detailed set with loads of features. The little greenhouse is charming with the mandrakes in their pots and the tower itself is beautiful. Of the three related builds (the great hall and clock tower being the other two) this is my favourite.

Usual Lego quality. I am now used to having to pay a premium for ANYTHING Harry Potter (or other trademarked toy, I guess). But my grandson was happy with it and we assembled part of it straight away the rest is for this week at home!

Lego Hogwarts Castle Astronomy Tower is one of the best Lego Harry Potter sets which you can buy. I would say that it is even more interesting than The Great Hall set.
There are many details spread evenly all around the set. The Astronomy Tower itself consists from 5 floors (including ground floor), there is also Professor Slughorn’s classroom and Professor Sprout’s greenhouse.
There are 8 minifigures in total and they include: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna, Draco, Lavender Brown, Professor Slughorn and 1 animal figure — Hedwig. Please note that Ernie Prang’s minifigure (the older man in glasses, wearing a sand colour clothing is not included — it is pictured due to the fact that my kids had such a great time playing with this set that they mixed up minifigures from several sets and this one was the one I didn’t pick up prior to making photos Now an Astronomy Tower turned into other, bigger project and I cannot re-do the photos 🙂 ).
The set consists of 971 pieces and takes a while to be put together. I would also suggest that the age recommendation (9+) is pretty accurate. It doesn’t mean that younger children should not play with it. It only means that assembly might be a bit complicated and time consuming when you leave a younger child to build it on their own. As always, I think that building with a child is the best and for the advantage of both — a child and a parent.
The set is amazing and due to it’s modular build it is a perfect match for other Harry Potter sets, especially other sets of Hogwarts Castle, like The Great Hall or Whomping Willow.
I can highly recommend this set for every Lego and Harry Potter fan. A price tag can be a bit putting off, but I think it is worth to watch it for a while and count on one of Amazon’s promos or price reduction due to a deal.

My daughter brought this out of her own birthday money and it is amazing for the price especially considering its proper lego! Now it did take a while to build but my daughter who is 7 followed the instructions and buildt it herself!

My daughter and wife are both Lego mad , the prices for Lego can be expensive but I got a nice deal on this set and know my daughter will be happy when she opens this Christmas day to add to her growing collection of Harry Potter Lego, it is nice that it fits in with some of the other sets she has as well so she can build up her Hogwarts castle.

My Grandchildren 7 year old twins loved this and made it themselves with very little help from their parents.
There is a lot going on in this set which makes for a lot of play value. I think my favourite bit is the little greenhouse with the Mandrakes in their pots – okay, so the other half didn’t appreciate me pulling them out and screaming each time but I was playing!
Comes with a lot of little rooms which I didn’t really expect. You get Professor Slughorn’s office and the Ravenclaw Dormitory along with one room for the Orrery and one for the telescope. They are all small but you can get at least one mini figure in each along with their furnishings. There is a central hall portion with some cute shelves but the best bit is the little table with the chocolate fountain the middle.
The build takes time but the instructions are clear, detailed and really are step by step so it feels relatively simple to construct. It is a little bit fragile like all large Lego buildings and you have to exercise some caution when playing. If you are going to leave it built up for game play it may be worth gluing it together but it is sturdy enough for a display shelf without that or for delicate play.

As a special treat for the kids we bought this (though expensive, it was cheaper on Amazon than on another well known store). They absolutely loved the building and there is so much play to be had. I love all the intricate detail – such a lot of time and effort has gone into the the design. Wonderfully it also connects to other sets in the series. We’ve got the Great Hall (https://amzn.to/2PjpE2U) which joins on to this one with the wall that comes with the Whomping Willow set (https://amzn.to/2D2MN7m) – NB there’s no logical way to connect the hall directly to the tower. It looks like the Clock Tower (https://amzn.to/3a0BKHT) connects to the other end of the Hall – but we don’t have that one yet. Maybe at Christmas 🙂
I have no idea why Amazon wants me to rate this model’s ‘thickness’ – but it is certainly plenty thick! I’ve docked a star for the value for money only because I do think Lego is a little overpriced. But it is great for a special treat.

Good detailed piece which took almost 4 hours to build. Lots of different and quality Lego pieces and figures. It connects to other pieces of the Hogwarts castle set, so you have one large set to play with and look at. It’s expensive but worth the time spent building and as a decorative set.
