The sleep timer is excellent and the radio itself is very easy to use. Didn’t really need any instructions as simple to program. Sound is not bad either.

Only use this for wifi reception, but have tried it out in its other modes too. Small, neat, well-designed; easy to set up; finds network immediately every time. Use it on mains but good to know it works on 4xAA batteries, when necessary. Connects to Frontier Silicon radio portal. used by a wide range of other manufacturers, so this should not go down in the near future – important for wifi radios, which otherwise can be ‘bricked’ overnight. Overall a good buy, I would say.

Good at all required tasks. I miss the added track information available on replaced internet radio but overall very happy.

The product appears to do everything it claims to do. Sound quality could be better but this is a budget item so can’t be expected to compare with much more expensive radios.
Overall, very good value for the money.

Good to be able to have a radio that works as we live in a rural area with practically no signal! Easy to use and sound is good

Easy to setup and use. Only one thing to note, the display is bright so not ideal for a bedroom.

This is a neat little internet/dab radio with good quality sound. It was fairly straightforward to set up for the internet – I haven’t tried the dab function.
Beware the power cable – it takes some force to ensure it is plugged in properly. I nearly returned the radio because I thought it was broken. Managed to set it up using the batteries. Left it plugged into the mains because it is intended to be left on permanently and then discovered that it was running on batteries alone – which didn’t last long. But some firm pushing and shoving of the lead into the radio socket seems to have solved the problem.

Radio FM/DAB signal was getting worse and not sure why, however after research and purchasing this bit of neatly designed kit, the problem has been solved and sound is clear and easy to use.
If in a similar situation to myself where signal is an issue, invest in an IP Internet radio for use via wifi, then go for it! especially this one.

Good radio for the price, easy to set up and use. Compact design means it just blends in on the countertop.
Bought it to keep our puppy settled when she’s asleep (she seems to like jazz) but we’ve ended up using it ourselves. Sound quality isn’t as good as our wireless speakers etc. but that’s not what we bought it for…

Internet radio gives access to a wide variety of stations. I like to re-hear old comedy programmes. The radio receives via WiFi so you need a good signal and decent broadband. It is not difficult to store and retrieve favourite stations. It can operate on AA batteries or on USB power. I think the performance may be better on USB. Setup procedure is fairly straightforward. The Sleep feature is easy to adjust once switched on. Internet radio has pretty well replaced shortwave as a means of receiving a choice of programmes. I took off one star as it sometimes has a problem with a weak WiFi signal. Having said that, it is better than my previous radio which lost the signal regularly.

Connected quickly and easily to the Internet. Sound quality excellent for price. Plenty of presets for your favourite radio stations. I’m using rechargeable batteries. Light easy to carry around the house. In my area the Dab connection was good as well.

what a great unit that has so much crammed inside me and also portable.
The unit walks exceptionally well easy to navigate and use.
The only con I could find is the power button is very easy switched on accidentally
which results in your batteries being run down.

For the price of under 50, this is a real bargain. The reception for FM and DAB is okay. I’ve got it working off my wi-fi and the reception is really good and clear. My only criticism is that the mains lead is too short and I ended up purchasing a longer USB 2.0 A-Male to Micro B Cable. Overall though, I’m very happy

Being an radio anorak, somewhat concerned on this purchase – however well pleased with this radio.
    Contrary to some other reviews:
    DAB reception is fine.
    Internet functionality works
Build quality is OK for the price paid
Menu functionality is somewhat a challenge – however once learnt OK
    Sound quality OK

Overall – good value – recommended if you are looking a cheap but OK internet / DAB radio

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis radio uses the same chipset as a number of the bigger brands with only minor changes to the software that I can see. Knowing that you can probably guess where the cost-cuts have been made. If you pay more you might get a bigger speaker, stereo or a combination of the two. The controls might be more responsive. The radio reception might be a bit better. But is any of that 3x better on a radio that costs 3x as much ? This radio excelled in areas I did not expect at this price. It supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. It gets pretty loud for a small radio. The curated radio station list that it downloads is extensive, searchable and well grouped by category. It supports AAC and higher bitrates, so depending on what you listen to it’s likely to be much better than anything on DAB at the moment. The “Info” button does more than the manual suggests – keep pressing it. It’s also good on power, positively sipping it at 125mA in standby (with WiFi on), 176mA with the Internet radio on (vol=10), 195mA for DAB and 190mA for FM as measured at the micro USB socket on the back. OK, the DAB and FM reception is weak but it was poor on my Pure as well that cost much more than this. But if you’re looking at an Internet radio you have probably given up on DAB already. I was impressed enough at this radio that I bought another from Amazon the next day.

First of all, what does sheerness mean? More nonsense from Amazon.
Bought this item to replace an Amazon Echo, which was only ever used as a radio but was very nosey at all times.
This radio has a nice tone and is easy to operate but its main fault is the intricate way of storing preset stations and the lack of clarity in the instruction booklet. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars overall.

What to say, I needed a radio alarm clock because I don’t like buzzers. I took it just for this purpose. To have a music alarm. And it does perfectly its job. It tunes internet stations, fm stations and in my city gets around 40 dab stations. For the price I have paid it, I’m more than happy with it. It takes around 5 minutes to configure it with the wireless network, but once you configure it, in my opinion there’s no need to listen to dab or fm: you can listen practically to all of them and others on internet. The speaker sounds well for such device, it’s not obviously a boombox, but having the headphone jack you can plug it to a speaker or as I did to home stereo appliance to forget about making playlists. And you can control it remotely from the application undock. Really satisfied, I would buy another one.

Cant go wrong at this price. A good looking radio delivering good quality sounds and access to 20.000+ worldwide radio stations. Initial set up connecting radio to home router can be annoying, especially if the home router has a long password, however once its done youre able to browse and select thousands of stations so theres something for everyone. A great gift for elderly people as the menu is easy to use and it beats watching daytime television. Also battery powered option so can be taken out into garden or anywhere within range of home router.

Well first thank you to all who responded to my question regarding as to what is displayed for each station programme content. I can confirm that this works on DAB but not on internet stations, contrary to what it says in the handbook!

Otherwise, it is an excellent device, particularly when used with the Undock app on my phone. Searching for stations, location and genre is very efficient. Only complaint is that there are not enough presets for all the internet stations I want to listen to! Anyone know how to transfer the unused FM presets to Internet???

Regarding DAB, had no problems. A manual scan found over 65 stations.

    So far, very good!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this as so much cheaper than other alternatives. I got it for some of the internet stations that cannot be accessed on a normal DAB and it does not disappoint. In terms of DAB I have no problem with picking up the stations which I have always been able to in my area. I tend to listen on earphones in bed at night to help me sleep and it is as good as the quality of earphones. The sound through speaker is very loud and clear I have yet to put it up to full volume.
My only difficulties was with the pre-sets but read the instructions so became clearer how to set them. I did have a problem with the clock keep going forward 2 hours every morning but turned off the auto update and this seems to have resolved it.

Overall easy to use and a bargai

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis radio is portable and I like the compactness of it, it has a built in speaker which is decent portable sound, no bass or treble controls or presets, has 3.5mm audio out, Bluetooth, takes 4 AA Batteries, uses micro USB power connection, don’t push in the USB too hard as it could break the connection in the unit, saying that its not too flimsy either. You just need to know when you plug the USB in it may not click and it sticks out a bit hence why you may think it’s not actually in, but it is.

Radio has Internet, FM and DAB, I use the net connection more as the DAB signal is weak in my area, there is FM signal but not the greatest. Easy to use, there is not a remote control unit (would of been handy!)
    – See supplied pics –
Can store 20 presets per input, meaning 20 on DAB, 20 on FM and 20 on Internet.

Radio updates once you connect it to your WiFi upon 1st time power up, follow on screen prompts.

Will check for App to connect as a previous Amazon buyer stated, I haven’t used batteries yet or checked if rechargeable batts can be used and charged by the USB on this unit?

Overal very decent unit. I have it connected via audio out to external hi-fi unit. All good so far.

Small & portable, DAB internet radio

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI own or have owned several Wi-fi radios over the years and for the money this is the best one yet. It’s not as robust as a Pure or Roberts but at the price what do you expect? As a bonus it also has DAB, DAB+ and FM for flexibility. It looks good, is easy to configure and most importantly sounds good. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker although I have not yet tried this facility. As with all Wi-fi radios connection can sometimes be a bit flaky but if your Wi-fi signal is good you shouldn’t have a problem. It has a good collation of internet radio stations, better I think than Pure, Roberts or Tunein ( Amazon devices ). How it will last and perform in the long term is always an issue with technology, it has a three year manufacturers warranty but at this price point if it fails within or after then you are not going to be too much out of pocket. I hope I haven’t talked up any problems!, but at this moment I would recommend this radio.

This is a great radio I would recommend it to any one, batteries last well on high capacity rechargables. Sound is good mono, sounds bigger than it is. Database for Internet radio is very good, better than most. FM and DAB reception is average to good but some radios are more sensitive. If you want a very good and nicely priced internet radio this could be the radio for you.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf your looking for an radio that does everything a smart speaker does, apart from turning lights on and off, this is it!! Connecting to your WiFi is simple, via wps. Dab and fm work great. Bluetooth connects easy and all other features are a bonus for such a cheap price. Sound quality is surprisingly crisp for such a small radio. Take no notice of the reviews that say it doesn’t save your settings when powered down. It does and returns to the last mode, when powered back up. I’m buying another!!!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was looking for a smart radio that has DAB, Internet radio and Bluetooth for my work desk at home.. most of options came up as being too pricey. Thats when i came across this lemega IR1.

For the price, it is a very good option. The build quality is good. I got the grey/white version which looks good on my desk which is white. It has got a nice weight which is good as it is stable on the desk.

I am satisfied with the sound quality, it is clear for the small room. I use the internet radio and bluetooth mostly and both work well. The undok application that you can download also works with this radio, but the controls on the radio itself is good enough for the occasional searching of internet radio stations, recalling saved stations, etc.

I dont live in an area where the DAB reception is great, so as expected the DAB radio reception is not the best, (putting up the antenna does help to an extent) and a scan does not return all the stations (my car radio seems to find more stations somehow)

overall i am satisfied considering the price point and the features which i wanted all in a small package!

  52. Sara Hassan says:

Sometimes I want to just press a button and get some music. Broadcast stations either have adverts or long spells of someone talking. There are internet stations where it’s just music and they’re what I listen to most of the time now. But even with internet stations, you have to find your phone app, and then mess around with its bluetooth. With this box I just press the power button and a few seconds later I get music. And when the internet’s down, you can use DAB or FM instead.

The previous reviewer has done an excellent job summarising the radio’s features, so I won’t repeat any of that.

As with that reviewer, the supplied usb cable didn’t work and caused me quite a bit of a headache until I realised it was the cable that was the problem and all I had to do was dig another one out of the drawer. It’s a shame about that, as I can imagine a lot of people sending it back, and missing out on an otherwise brilliant little box.

The instructions are actually written in a readable font size! What’s more, they’re clear enough for even me to follow. Having said that, I don’t need to refer to the instructions much as the menu system is quite clear.
