Does what is says. “Levoit Air Purifiers for Home 48m with True HEPA Filter”. I have now had this product for over a year. I leave it on 24hrs a day. I leave it on auto, and it does the job. If there are any changes to the air quality like the vacuum cleaner gets too close of something burns in the kitchen it increases its workload and then returns back to normal when the job is done.
I have the unit in the living room and It is quiet in operation generally speaking and you can’t hear it during normal operation.
The cost of the filters is high but I believe they are good quality and I only buy the recommend type and not any cheaper replacements from other manufacturers.
Hands down the best air purifier for the price Having returned a noisy bagotte air purifier I didn’t know what to expect… But I was blown away by how much better this one is.. it comes with an actual charcoal filter (with the charcoal beads) it’s powerful, silent, easy to use and to top it all off it comes with a very good air quality sensor. I purposefully put a candle that was smoking a bit near the unit and a moment later the light turned green to indicate air quality is degrading. The fan automatically turned up until the air quality went to blue. I think for the price, this is the best air purifier you can buy.
1 word. Superb! Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? We have 2 dogs, I have asthma and the dust these 2 ‘ehem’ darlings, bring in to the house is obscene. Since Christmas (it’s now 1st of March this purifier has changed my life (literally). No more waking up with heavy and wheezy chest. No more dust on our furniture, it’s just fantastic. We’ve got 3 more homes hooked on them too.
I have access to an air compressor at home so every week I remove the filters and I blow them clean, just tap or use an old nail brush or similar to brush off and tap on the floor if you haven’t got fed air. Beware, the shock of how much crap these catch is truly shocking!

Great air purifie I brought this for my kids room as my neighbor have wood burner smeell coming to their room. I quickly unbox and set it up. Everytine I smell the wood burning smell I checked the room and it light up as red. Mean it is working. I have them at high once a day and the rest of the day on auto. Thank you
Well made Very pleased with this air purifier neat design and very easy to use. Quiet sleep mode if needed I normally run it in the day I give the main sitting room a boost on high setting each morning then run it on low setting nice and quiet on low you could forget it was on.
Excellent value , quality and white noise The Levoit air purifiers are excellent, I purchased this version for the bedroom (25m2) excellent machine, we use the air purifier mainly during the night, not noisy, in fact it has a perfect 3 mode choice and the night is the lowest sound . cleans the air , I suffer from asthma and I sleep much better when it’s on , I use it while working out from home via zoom in the same room . the other Levoit I bought is excellent too , bigger in size and round and tall , the bigger size has a different filter and is potent enough to cover th 44m2.

Good produc Quite loud when on full speed, nice if it was a bit quieter but good job non the less. Not sure if it is efficient enough when on lower speed or sleep mode.
Air quality monitor features are nice to have, should make these available as well.
Seems to do what it claims to do! I wasn’t convinced these air purifiers work but being asthmatic and with a husband who seems to suffer from allergies including dust, pollen and pet hair I thought it was worth a go.
It’s been enlightening seeing the air purifier go into ‘red’ mode when someone sprays either air freshener or anti perspirant somewhere else in the house. I’m Im impressed with its sensitivity. The other surprising thing is how often the air purifier speeds up when people are cooking particularly grilling or frying. This air purifier is in my living room and not particularly close to the kitchen so Once again I’m impressed with its sensitivity.
My husbands sneezing and nose blowing has definitely decreased, I’d say as much as 80%. I don’t seem as wheezy either.
I’m impressed enough to buy another one for upstairs on the landing now.
I also saw a recent news programme about a doctor who works on the Covid wards who, as an experiment, put an air purifier in one of his wards. When tested, it had removed all of the covid from the air as well as other harmful viruses including fungus spores.
To sum up Id say give it a go. It seems to definitely work for us and it does seem to detect changes in air quality from other rooms in the house. May not work for others but it has for us.
One final point I’m due to clean the filter soon and will update with any further useful info and pictures if I think it’s newsworthy
Effective and quie Been doing some home renovation and got one of these to help manage dust levels. On regular checks of the filter you can see it sucks in the dust. The filter inspection door which is magnetic is a brilliant design giving easy quick access. I lightly vacuum the large filter and reuse. Not a cheap unit, but it is effective. I like all the modes on the unit. I wish I had 2 of them. Also well made.
Does the job It’s a well made unit with three-stage filtration, and it does the job, judging by the dust and dirt on my filter. The automatic sensor isn’t very sensitive, even after cleaning the sensor. Sleep mode is very quiet but probably doesn’t draw in much air to be worth it.
All in all, I’ve owned other purifiers before around 30-50, and this one works, but is no better than them.
Gets rid of tobacco smoke smell very quickly Bought for my dads flat as he has night carers and he smokes. Made it much easier to get night sitters as the unit got rid of the smoke and smell. It was able to detect the smoke on auto so didn’t have to manually operate it. Perfect, so I bought another for my home.

Low level noise cheap to ru Only had this item for a month but it is doing everything that it should, noise level is good and very economically to run , thinking of getting one more for downstairs.
Decent enough Quiet operation. Detects air quality and if clean then goes to low power setting, if dirty then high power. My slight gripe is it does not detect high pollen so is always on low setting. Filters are cheap. Decent air purifier and won’t go too far wrong buying this.

One seriously good air purifier. I bought a Toyuugo purifier some time ago, and only bought two of this one when I could no longer get filters for the old one. – I am so glad I bought this model.
It’s a big device, powerful, and will fit flush against a wall as it draws air in through a gap in the side panel. – The filters (expensive!) are awesome, but do require cleaning every few weeks to remove the ‘fluff’ build up on the surface.
But I recommend this, just make sure to clean it regularly, including the sensor (easily done with a cotton bud.)
The active charcoal is amazing for removing odours too, but I found they weren’t very effective for air cleaning when left in ‘auto’ mode, always seeming to run a little too slowly to keep the air cleared.

for the ‘smokers’ his is a very quiet filter on the lowest settings could easily be left on while sleeping, and the automatic mode is great. removes ‘funny’ smelling smoke quickly but need to change the filter so often if using for that as the filter quickly sucks up the ‘funny’ smell and even when not smoking and you turn the filter on you will smell it and that’s when you know to change the filter currently about a month maximum filter life if smoking but if not smoking the filter would last a lot longer.

Great air purifier and great service from Selle I have recently purchased two of these air purifiers, one for downstairs and one for my bedroom. While the quality of the air seems to be very good most of the time, as the purifier is in blue mode, I can still notice that fresh air smell. They definitely work so well as when I am doing my hair in the bedroom and using sprays etc, suddenly the purifier “springs into action” going from blue to green to even sometimes red. It then returns to blue again after a few minutes. Also if my cats are playing around it, it can change . So reassuring to know that the air I am breathing is better.
Also, I have to add, when I had a wee problem in the beginning and had to contact seller, the customer service I received was simply fantastic – sorted out my problem immediately in a friendly, efficient and reassuring manner. I would recommend this product and seller from the roof top. You will not be disappointed.
Great for large rooms I have used the smaller Levoit filters for some time, but these struggled to keep my large dining/living room clear of the cigarette smoke (my brother is the source).
This larger unit keeps my room clear of the smoke, and I notice a great difference in the overall air quality. I have had this installed on the floor of my room and switch it on at max power when I get up. After about 1.5 hours the air is totally clear and I switch it to one of the lower settings. If I notice any smoke smell, a switch to max power (still very quiet) and after about 20 minutes the room is again smoke clear.
No idea how long the filter will last with the usage above (I have had the unit for 2 months), but I would find it worth every penny to get a smoke free room.
Got it on sale but still well worth the money! I was looking for something to clear the air in my bedroom as I also 3D print there. I got a double room and it clear the air in 30 minutes flat.
It is noisy when on full speed but I keep it on automatic detection which is a great option and it works and on sleep mode at night.
Recommended if you have a constant 3D printer (FDM and SLA) working in the background.
Freed us from Autumn allergies. Two of our household suffer from allergies to fungal spores in the air in autumn and this year had no problems. Also very effective at clearing very fine dust from air.
Best buy ye Amazing product I’ve been using it every day when I’m home on the auto option,its not noisy at all in this level.
It was for my allergies to my cat and I definitely felt a difference in the air quality after a few days of having it on.
Also when I’m cooking or I re wall papered and had to sand the wall down, it automatically changed functions because it detects something in the air.
I also brought a smaller levoit for my bedroom.
Its definitely doing something not sure what but wouldn’t be without it now.

Really thankful for this air purifier! Needed something urgently to allow us to sleep while the people in the flat upstairs fry extensively late at night every night. Our bedroom was like trying to sleep in a chip shop. The device works well on auto, and responds rapidly to smells now I have removed the sensor cover. My only problem is that whoever designed something with touch screen controls on the flat top, obviously never shared their lives with four cats. The kitten tends to reset everything in the middle of the night!

Great purifie We can’t air out the bottom of our stairs since there is no windows, and as a result, all the kitchen smells get trapped there. So we bought this to help combat that. It has worked excellently so far, I must say! The stairs no longer stink with stale cooking smells – if we cook something particularly whiffy, then we just stick this on full blast for a bit until it clears the air.
Only issue we have is that it can’t possibly work fast enough to stop the smells rising and getting trapped in our upstairs bedrooms, but I can’t fault it for that. I think we just need to get another one for upstairs now!
A Stylish and Quality Unit. This is a solid piece of kit, the filters are large and the motor is powerful. In ‘auto’ mode it responds almost immediately to cooking odours, more slowly to smoke. This is not really a problem as you can easily switch the fan to high and it clears the room (5m x 9m x 2m) in a few of minutes.
I’ve have no problem with the loudness of the unit: it is very noticeable on ‘high’ (something similar to the background noise on a plane). I find this reassuring as I know it is doing it’s job! The ‘sleep’ mode is inaudible to me, but the air flow is so tiny that I wonder if it is very effective.
All in all I would highly recommend this unit especially if there is a smoker in the household.
A great addition to our household. We do a lot of laser cutting and needed a backup in case the ventilation system wasn’t up to scratch. This unit sits on automatic and you can’t tell its on, night mode is also ultra silent. When on full fan speed it is noise but quickly clears an entire room of the contaminant. Was skeptical at first but the air inside feels cleaner and any smells from the laser, pets or cigarettes are dealt with instantly. Very impressed.
Surprised Chosen because it was a good price for the CADR and for replacement HEPA filters. Levoit is a known supplier (mainly US), so hopefully replacement filters will remain available.
Easy to set up and to use. Looks smart and unobtrusive. Lead is annoyingly short for a device that should be used away from walls/furniture. Easy to lift up and move around.
On sleep mode it is practically silent. Going full blast, you certainly hear the sound of the air, but this is only to be expected. This model quotes lower dB than many of the competitors. I have no means of checking if it is accurate, but the noise level seems reasonable.
I am surprised (suspicious) to see that the display shows the air quality in my room as good (blue) and it is disappointing that this display works in ‘auto’ mode, but not when you set the fan level manually.
I have not used it enough yet to get an idea of how quickly the filter clogs and whether the recommended changing interval is reasonable.
Great bit of kit. This is a great bit of kit. I was a bit dubious when my wife bought the purifier, but I am a convert now. It’s made a massive difference to my wife who suffers from hay fever and regularly had to get up through the night to take anti histamines. Not any more, the purifier seems to do exactly what it says on the box and is defiantly helping her get a good night sleep. . Brilliant purchase.
Great product good value I find this air purifier easy to use, really like that there is sleep mode and that the display light can be turned off at night . So I have been getting a good sleep even with it on . On the auto setting , it does an excellent job of detecting when the air quality has dropped and turns the fan up accordingly . The air when , I use it certainly feels purer and as an asthmatic that is important. Great product would recommend.
Fresh I have allergy asthma & I find this since I got this , I am sleeping better & bedroom is much fresher , it’s a beautiful humming noise very relaxing at night , not loud. Relaxing sound. Perfect.
Bionic air purifie I love this machine. Even when I blow out a candle the fan reacts and cleans the air as quick. My husband was doing work upstairs and the purifier turned on to clean the dust particles in the air downstairs.

My allergies have gone and I'm annoyed I didn't buy one years ago! So I have had this for over a month now and I have seen some differences already. First I have Allergic Rhinitis and very very light asthma which basically means my nose is almost constantly backed up and needs blowing all the time and I mean literally a full nose about 10 times per day along with a dry cough, It has been a massive annoyance to me and it is something that I have just got used to. I don’t consider my flat or bedroom to be particularly dusty or have any special need for something like this however… Since this has been used I can honestly say that I am yet to wake up with anything but a clear nose! I haven’t had a full nose since buying this and I am gobsmacked… Not only that but my dry coughing has stopped too! The actual unit is good looking and super easy to use however I wish I got the app controlled version because I tend to put this in which ever room I am sitting in for a few hours so that would have been a nice thing to have. I have also checked the filter after a month and it was covered in dust!!!
In terms of removing smells it’s average, not amazing but quite good if left for half hour or so however for removing smoke from the air it’s pretty good for that. I see people often asking if this unit is good for cannabis smells and I can confirm that It is pretty poor at that however if you leave a window open with this on full it works very well like that. Overall I’d give it a 8/10.
Excellent performance This unit is brilliant. I keep it in my bedroom and leave the setting to auto in the main. It would come on when it needed, apply a burst of air cleansing then go back to the auto setting which emits a gentle steady cleansing.
When I was painting in the flat, it would come on more often and for longer periods. The blue colour would turn green to show the air needed purifying and it set to work. At night I would use the sleep function.
As an asthmatic, I have noticed a significant difference in my sleeping pattern – not waking during the night feeling stuffy and breathless. My room is 14f x 9f and it always feels crisp and clean air! I have also moved it around the flat and when I have had it in the hall (15f x 3f) it permeates it crispness around the flat.

Excellent for pet allergies Really happy with this, we have a house rabbit and my partner is allergic. He was really suffering so after some research I decided to buy this. It has helped no end and he no longer needs to use an inhaler. I leave it on auto mode and when I am changing the litter box or topping the hay feeder it automatically turns up the level of filtration. I want another bunny so will be buying a more advanced model and moving this upstairs!

Quiet and dark sleep mode I wanted an air purifier to use overnight while sleeping. I am not a great sleeper though and needed a product that doesn’t interfere at all.
I crank this one up to max speed for 10-15 minutes to get the air in the room a head start and then switch to the night mode for sleeping. Night mode is a very quiet fan noise, only a slight gentle burr. The screen can also be switched off, so no lights at all. As it is so gentle I can’t imagine the night mode filters a lot, but with the head start I give it, it maintains the air well enough and I have experienced better sleep.
I find it hard to sleep with any sounds including white noise machines so for this to be ok for me is very pleasing. Especially as it is just a few feet from my head at night.
The auto sensor is pretty good too, but I don’t use it much for that purpose.

Arrived as described, too early to tell If i'm a fan (Pardon the pun) >>>>> read o A nice looking unit. I smoke in a room with no windows and am using this to filter the smoke. So far it seems to be doing the job, that said it, like any other air purifier won’t get rid of all smalls. I’ve done some research and smell is much smaller than the filters in these can handle. I won’t hold it against this machine, besides for the same reason i can spray air freshener and it lets the small circulate but not the aerosol particulates.
I am not disappointed so far, but it is too early to provide a full review for it’s longevity/durability etc… This is why i have given it a four instead of a five.
The panel is clear and easy to operate. The fan inside does create noise on the highest setting, though that is to be expected from any fan. No fan is truly silent. It has a sleep mode that I haven’t tried yet, but that seems much quieter than the normal three speed options.
My item was a previosly purchased item so I am essentially the second owner but there were no marks or signs of use. It came with filters still sealed in their packets, the box had been taped up for a second time but it’s only packaging.

What a difference Looked into air purifiers, because I have use CPAP for sleep Apnoea and found the constant air flow overnight was giving me terrible nasal problems… Although this has an immediate effect I have found an even bigger difference after the first week. It is surprising how much rubbish there is in the air we breathe indoors, have noticed less dust etc around the house as an added bonus.
I got this model and a smaller one, I would definitely get one which has the auto feature you can just switch on and leave…These things really clean the ai

We purchased this air purifier in November and so have been using it for about four months. We use it in the kitchen where my husband smokes. We also have two cats who spend a lot of time in the kitchen. We leave it running 24hours a day and it has made such a difference. The air always smells clean and there is much less cat fur picked up from the floor. We took the filter off last week and it was amazing how much debris it had collected. This air filter has exceeded our expectations.
Highly recommended Easy to use and very effective in cleaning the air. Noticed a change in the air quality in the first 30 mins of use. I’m having building work done and the amount of dust and grub this picks up is amazing. Will eventually buy the smaller versions for our bedrooms

Levoit Air purifier. The appliance is relatively light weight and can easily moved around the home. Its top panel buttons for which you operate the machine couldn’t be more self explanatory.
Sleep mode is so quiet that its almost impossible to hear. However because the fan is going so slowly in this mode I am left wondering how effective it is at cleaning the air or in fact it is even worth having on during the night at all in this mode.
What I have tended to do is to just leave it on fan setting one. While it’s obviously audible on this setting its still very quiet and has never prevented me from sleeping. During the day I tend to leave it on auto mode.
Over all it seems to be well made. The filters are very easy to change, although I have yet to change them so I can’t say how often they need replacing, but like many things it’ll depend on what level you have it set on and how high the pollutants in the air are.
I’m sure the room smells a lot fresher, however not having had an air purifier before I wasn’t sure what to expect but I think I was expecting a day and night noticeable difference but I can’t say that is the case. To be fair I think that it takes several days to make a difference on a large room so without having 2 identical rooms to compare, I feel its very difficult to give an accurate appraisal.
I LOVE IT! I tried about 5 air purifiers previously to this, none of them had much suction to them, so I was still left with dust around the units, even on the highest and loudest settings on them i’d still be left with dust around, but this Lovoit one is amazing, the amount of dust it picks up is crazy, and I have bad OCD so my bedroom is spotless, but again the amount of dust it picks up is shocking, I use the handheld dusters on the filter, simply go over the filter with the duster so it picks up all the dust, otherwise i’d already be using a new filter by now! the sleep mode is nice, can hardly hear it, but even on the first setting it still isn’t that loud, it’s a nice white noise to block out the neighbours and so on, so I sleep with it on the first setting, if i’ve been decorating or have had the doors/windows open then i’ll put it on the top setting for an hour or so, overall 10/10 for this product, you get what you pay for.
Money well spent! This is excellent! Well worth the money. I can’t fault it at all. Having developed Asthma I bought this to make sure the air quality in the home is good. I keep my home as dust free as possible. Having this on auto, if it picks up anything it will turn on. I will get more for my other rooms, at the moment I move this from my lounge to my bedroom. It is easy to carry and move, but I will buy more so I do not have to move it all the time.

Noticeable air quality improvement. This has proven very useful, being used in a one bedroom flat, it provides active automatic air filtering based on what it detects. For smoking, small diy jobs etc, it detects within seconds and actively filters until air quality returns. It’s noticeable, I’ve had the unit for a little over a month, I leave it to run on auto over night and the lounge is fresh each morning.

Seems effective, but the auto setting doesn't work. We got this air purifier for a room which has terrible air quality and we have it running pretty much continuously. It seems effective and has caught a LOT of dust and grime in the filter. However, I’m convinced it does anything to remove smells, and it can be quite noisy on the highest setting. Sleep mode is whisper quiet, but also isn’t strong enough to have much of an effect on air quality in my experience.
My main bug bear is that the auto setting doesn’t work and the air purifier will constantly show the air quality as being excellent, even though it definitely isn’t…which seems to be a common fault for most people judging by the comments section. We have 3 air purifiers and I wouldn’t say that this one is any more superior to the others I’ve purchased for less money.
Excellent air filter and purifie Excellent piece of kit. I keep it on the automatic setting and it kicks in as and when required. I live near a busy road in central London and I notice a vast improvement in air quality and reduction in the amount of dust gathering in the sitting room.

I took a chance on this one and was very pleased with the result, really quiet would suit bedroom but powerful enough for living area. The auto setting does a great job, it reads the air quality and increases power when necessary. I also bought the Levoit model which is half the price for the bedroom, but that one is a bit noisy. I would recommend if your going to buy a unit that you go for this one I’m very pleased with it.
Perfectly clean sweet air ...... I bought two of these to help clean the air of our house as I’m an enthusiastic cook and my stir-fries produce quite a lot of smoke. I have put one of the units in my study where I’m permitted to smoke the odd cigar and the unit has been set to automatic. It immediately switches when I start smoking on and cleans the air and switches itself off once the air is sweet and the purifiers exceeded my expectations as they leave the air smelling crisp, clean and sweet, so much so that I have just bought a third one for our hall. Our lounge is large with an open log fire and this purifiers cleans the air admirably. The fact that they can be left on automatic means that they know when to switch on and off and use very little electricity and are extremely quiet when operating.
There are more expensive units on the market but these are fully HEPA compliant units with active charcoal and I cannot see how a more expensive purifier would be any more effective. We’re finding that we’re sleeping better. Also, if you register online then the guarantee extends to a second year which is very reassuring
It works! We were having some building work done and clearing out the loft and my dog developed a dust allergy. We bought this item to help address the issue until the building work was finished and it did the job, going into overdrive whenever too much dust was being created. Now we tend to leave it on night mode at all times, it is virtually silent and the dog is fine. It also alerted us to the fact that one of our vacuum cleaners was creating a lot of dust and needed to be replaced with one with a true hepa filter.
Great product at a good price I just plugged in my new Levoit and i’m very pleased. Looks-wise, it’s a fairly unobtrusive white box about the size of a piece of carry-on luggage. It’s easy to pick up and move thanks to indentations on the sides.
What I really like are the controls on the top. Everything is extremely simple and intuitive. The touch-sensitive buttons are clearly labelled, and the icons are easily recognizable. There’s also a pleasing “ping” sound when you push, so you get immediate feedback. I was up and running in seconds. I’m a bit of a stickler for good interface design, and the Levoit impressed me immediately with its ease-of-use.
Everything else seems fine – i know that these HEPA purifiers are all more or less the same under the covers, so I won’t bang on about the air quality or the fan speed. To wrap up, this is a nicely-designed unit at a good price, and I’m very happy with my choice.
Oh – do NOT forget to open the back and remove the plastic bag from the filters ! There also a bit of plastic on the screen that you can peel off.

I vape a lot and the Levoit sucks it all in and clears the room very quickly.
Great for getting rid of cooking smells in kitchen though it does take a while on medium setting.
High setting is really loud but hardly ever reaches this when on auto.

If you're buying it for cigarette smoke - it works grea I use this to remove cigarette smoke odour from a small room and it works. I would advise changing the filter more often than every 6 months if you’re using it to clear a smoky room. Every 3 months would be ideal. I opened the filters to check them after 3 months. There was no smell of cigarette smoke in there but the top one was pretty dirty so I vacuumed it. Don’t wash then, you’ll ruin them. Vacuuming seems to help them last a bit longer.
FANTASTIC especially if you are a SMOKER ! I cannot rate the Levoit LV-PUR 131 machine highly enough. I’ve had it for a few months now as I wanted to see how good it was before I left a review. You will not be disappointed. There are still a few of us smokers left out there and although I have cut down considerably, I’m still finding it hard to completely quit. I have a beautiful home and I wanted to keep it that way…..even smokers hate what nicotine does to your decor. This is the solution, I use my machine in a small room in the house with the door closed…..perfect. It allows you to have a crafty cigarette without doing too much damage to your home. The Levoit LV-PUR 131 does the job brilliantly, especially on high speed when you smoke. I leave it on Auto for the rest of the time so it will come on if it needs to purify further. This makes it really cost effective, my bills haven’t gone up that much at all.
This machine is really effective and has some great features including a timer, I know it is really good at what it is actually designed for but hey, us smokers need some help too. If you want clean air then this is the one. If you’re a smoker too, then you definitely need this machine. I cannot fault it !

For any of you individuals who think that this product does not work please take a look at the images below of my filter after only 4 months of operation. My apartment is in the middle of a city centre location. Hence why I need this product. The pollution residue on the filter made me feel sick just looking at it but better in the filter than in my lungs. I live in a traffic dense area, carbon pollution is literally killing people. Thank you to Levoit for making excellent products which help protect us from the evils of airborne contaminants and pollution. I would never again live without a HEPA filter as I now know they do a life-saving job.
A little bit of heave I brought this because I’m doing lots of building work and I was struggling a bit with all the dust , I have it in my bedroom and it was the best decision I made , my room is a little bit of heaven with this in it , it’s certainly made a difference in my breathing, I would definitely recommend

“Levoit Air Purifiers for Home 48m with True HEPA Filter”. I have now had this product for over a year. I leave it on 24hrs a day. I leave it on auto, and it does the job. If there are any changes to the air quality like the vacuum cleaner gets too close of something burns in the kitchen it increases its workload and then returns back to normal when the job is done.
I have the unit in the living room and It is quiet in operation generally speaking and you can’t hear it during normal operation.
The cost of the filters is high but I believe they are good quality and I only buy the recommend type and not any cheaper replacements from other manufacturers.

Hands down the best air purifier for the price
Having returned a noisy bagotte air purifier I didn’t know what to expect… But I was blown away by how much better this one is.. it comes with an actual charcoal filter (with the charcoal beads) it’s powerful, silent, easy to use and to top it all off it comes with a very good air quality sensor. I purposefully put a candle that was smoking a bit near the unit and a moment later the light turned green to indicate air quality is degrading. The fan automatically turned up until the air quality went to blue. I think for the price, this is the best air purifier you can buy.

Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? We have 2 dogs, I have asthma and the dust these 2 ‘ehem’ darlings, bring in to the house is obscene. Since Christmas (it’s now 1st of March this purifier has changed my life (literally). No more waking up with heavy and wheezy chest. No more dust on our furniture, it’s just fantastic. We’ve got 3 more homes hooked on them too.
I have access to an air compressor at home so every week I remove the filters and I blow them clean, just tap or use an old nail brush or similar to brush off and tap on the floor if you haven’t got fed air. Beware, the shock of how much crap these catch is truly shocking!

I brought this for my kids room as my neighbor have wood burner smeell coming to their room. I quickly unbox and set it up. Everytine I smell the wood burning smell I checked the room and it light up as red. Mean it is working. I have them at high once a day and the rest of the day on auto. Thank you

Very pleased with this air purifier neat design and very easy to use. Quiet sleep mode if needed I normally run it in the day I give the main sitting room a boost on high setting each morning then run it on low setting nice and quiet on low you could forget it was on.

The Levoit air purifiers are excellent, I purchased this version for the bedroom (25m2) excellent machine, we use the air purifier mainly during the night, not noisy, in fact it has a perfect 3 mode choice and the night is the lowest sound . cleans the air , I suffer from asthma and I sleep much better when it’s on , I use it while working out from home via zoom in the same room . the other Levoit I bought is excellent too , bigger in size and round and tall , the bigger size has a different filter and is potent enough to cover th 44m2.

Quite loud when on full speed, nice if it was a bit quieter but good job non the less. Not sure if it is efficient enough when on lower speed or sleep mode.

Seems to do what it claims to do!
I wasn’t convinced these air purifiers work but being asthmatic and with a husband who seems to suffer from allergies including dust, pollen and pet hair I thought it was worth a go.
It’s been enlightening seeing the air purifier go into ‘red’ mode when someone sprays either air freshener or anti perspirant somewhere else in the house. I’m Im impressed with its sensitivity. The other surprising thing is how often the air purifier speeds up when people are cooking particularly grilling or frying. This air purifier is in my living room and not particularly close to the kitchen so Once again I’m impressed with its sensitivity.
My husbands sneezing and nose blowing has definitely decreased, I’d say as much as 80%. I don’t seem as wheezy either.
I’m impressed enough to buy another one for upstairs on the landing now.
I also saw a recent news programme about a doctor who works on the Covid wards who, as an experiment, put an air purifier in one of his wards. When tested, it had removed all of the covid from the air as well as other harmful viruses including fungus spores.
To sum up Id say give it a go. It seems to definitely work for us and it does seem to detect changes in air quality from other rooms in the house. May not work for others but it has for us.
One final point I’m due to clean the filter soon and will update with any further useful info and pictures if I think it’s newsworthy
Effective and quie
Been doing some home renovation and got one of these to help manage dust levels. On regular checks of the filter you can see it sucks in the dust. The filter inspection door which is magnetic is a brilliant design giving easy quick access. I lightly vacuum the large filter and reuse. Not a cheap unit, but it is effective. I like all the modes on the unit. I wish I had 2 of them. Also well made.
Does the job
It’s a well made unit with three-stage filtration, and it does the job, judging by the dust and dirt on my filter. The automatic sensor isn’t very sensitive, even after cleaning the sensor. Sleep mode is very quiet but probably doesn’t draw in much air to be worth it.
All in all, I’ve owned other purifiers before around 30-50, and this one works, but is no better than them.
Gets rid of tobacco smoke smell very quickly
Bought for my dads flat as he has night carers and he smokes. Made it much easier to get night sitters as the unit got rid of the smoke and smell. It was able to detect the smoke on auto so didn’t have to manually operate it. Perfect, so I bought another for my home.
Life changing for people with allergies
This product is amazing. It filters out allergens from weed/cigarette smoke. I have severe allergy to weed smoke (anaphylaxis) and this filter reduces my reaction if my neighbour smokes.
It also removes pet odour, and the automatic mode reacts really well to: sand dust, flying fur, aerosols like hair spray, art varnish spray.
To much for replacement filters !!!!!!
Don’t buy unless you are happy to pay 41.00 pounds every 3 months for replacement filters. Brilliant product but to expensive for replacement filters.

One seriously good air purifier.
I bought a Toyuugo purifier some time ago, and only bought two of this one when I could no longer get filters for the old one. – I am so glad I bought this model.
It’s a big device, powerful, and will fit flush against a wall as it draws air in through a gap in the side panel. – The filters (expensive!) are awesome, but do require cleaning every few weeks to remove the ‘fluff’ build up on the surface.
But I recommend this, just make sure to clean it regularly, including the sensor (easily done with a cotton bud.)
The active charcoal is amazing for removing odours too, but I found they weren’t very effective for air cleaning when left in ‘auto’ mode, always seeming to run a little too slowly to keep the air cleared.

for the ‘smokers’
his is a very quiet filter on the lowest settings could easily be left on while sleeping, and the automatic mode is great. removes ‘funny’ smelling smoke quickly but need to change the filter so often if using for that as the filter quickly sucks up the ‘funny’ smell and even when not smoking and you turn the filter on you will smell it and that’s when you know to change the filter currently about a month maximum filter life if smoking but if not smoking the filter would last a lot longer.

Great air purifier and great service from Selle
I have recently purchased two of these air purifiers, one for downstairs and one for my bedroom. While the quality of the air seems to be very good most of the time, as the purifier is in blue mode, I can still notice that fresh air smell. They definitely work so well as when I am doing my hair in the bedroom and using sprays etc, suddenly the purifier “springs into action” going from blue to green to even sometimes red. It then returns to blue again after a few minutes. Also if my cats are playing around it, it can change . So reassuring to know that the air I am breathing is better.
Also, I have to add, when I had a wee problem in the beginning and had to contact seller, the customer service I received was simply fantastic – sorted out my problem immediately in a friendly, efficient and reassuring manner. I would recommend this product and seller from the roof top. You will not be disappointed.

Great for large rooms
I have used the smaller Levoit filters for some time, but these struggled to keep my large dining/living room clear of the cigarette smoke (my brother is the source).
This larger unit keeps my room clear of the smoke, and I notice a great difference in the overall air quality. I have had this installed on the floor of my room and switch it on at max power when I get up. After about 1.5 hours the air is totally clear and I switch it to one of the lower settings. If I notice any smoke smell, a switch to max power (still very quiet) and after about 20 minutes the room is again smoke clear.
No idea how long the filter will last with the usage above (I have had the unit for 2 months), but I would find it worth every penny to get a smoke free room.
Got it on sale but still well worth the money!
I was looking for something to clear the air in my bedroom as I also 3D print there. I got a double room and it clear the air in 30 minutes flat.
It is noisy when on full speed but I keep it on automatic detection which is a great option and it works and on sleep mode at night.
Recommended if you have a constant 3D printer (FDM and SLA) working in the background.
Freed us from Autumn allergies.
Two of our household suffer from allergies to fungal spores in the air in autumn and this year had no problems. Also very effective at clearing very fine dust from air.

Amazing product I’ve been using it every day when I’m home on the auto option,its not noisy at all in this level.
It was for my allergies to my cat and I definitely felt a difference in the air quality after a few days of having it on.
Also when I’m cooking or I re wall papered and had to sand the wall down, it automatically changed functions because it detects something in the air.
I also brought a smaller levoit for my bedroom.
Its definitely doing something not sure what but wouldn’t be without it now.

Wife is highly allergic to cats, she loves them so much we have three…
She couldn’t spend any time in the living room without deep cleaning beforehand or just accepting the puffy cheeks and watering eyes; now we can happily spend an evening on the sofa.

Needed something urgently to allow us to sleep while the people in the flat upstairs fry extensively late at night every night. Our bedroom was like trying to sleep in a chip shop. The device works well on auto, and responds rapidly to smells now I have removed the sensor cover. My only problem is that whoever designed something with touch screen controls on the flat top, obviously never shared their lives with four cats. The kitten tends to reset everything in the middle of the night!

Great purifie
We can’t air out the bottom of our stairs since there is no windows, and as a result, all the kitchen smells get trapped there. So we bought this to help combat that. It has worked excellently so far, I must say! The stairs no longer stink with stale cooking smells – if we cook something particularly whiffy, then we just stick this on full blast for a bit until it clears the air.
Only issue we have is that it can’t possibly work fast enough to stop the smells rising and getting trapped in our upstairs bedrooms, but I can’t fault it for that. I think we just need to get another one for upstairs now!
A Stylish and Quality Unit.
This is a solid piece of kit, the filters are large and the motor is powerful. In ‘auto’ mode it responds almost immediately to cooking odours, more slowly to smoke. This is not really a problem as you can easily switch the fan to high and it clears the room (5m x 9m x 2m) in a few of minutes.
I’ve have no problem with the loudness of the unit: it is very noticeable on ‘high’ (something similar to the background noise on a plane). I find this reassuring as I know it is doing it’s job! The ‘sleep’ mode is inaudible to me, but the air flow is so tiny that I wonder if it is very effective.
All in all I would highly recommend this unit especially if there is a smoker in the household.
A great addition to our household.
We do a lot of laser cutting and needed a backup in case the ventilation system wasn’t up to scratch. This unit sits on automatic and you can’t tell its on, night mode is also ultra silent. When on full fan speed it is noise but quickly clears an entire room of the contaminant. Was skeptical at first but the air inside feels cleaner and any smells from the laser, pets or cigarettes are dealt with instantly. Very impressed.

Chosen because it was a good price for the CADR and for replacement HEPA filters. Levoit is a known supplier (mainly US), so hopefully replacement filters will remain available.
Easy to set up and to use. Looks smart and unobtrusive. Lead is annoyingly short for a device that should be used away from walls/furniture. Easy to lift up and move around.
On sleep mode it is practically silent. Going full blast, you certainly hear the sound of the air, but this is only to be expected. This model quotes lower dB than many of the competitors. I have no means of checking if it is accurate, but the noise level seems reasonable.
I am surprised (suspicious) to see that the display shows the air quality in my room as good (blue) and it is disappointing that this display works in ‘auto’ mode, but not when you set the fan level manually.
I have not used it enough yet to get an idea of how quickly the filter clogs and whether the recommended changing interval is reasonable.
Great bit of kit.
This is a great bit of kit. I was a bit dubious when my wife bought the purifier, but I am a convert now. It’s made a massive difference to my wife who suffers from hay fever and regularly had to get up through the night to take anti histamines. Not any more, the purifier seems to do exactly what it says on the box and is defiantly helping her get a good night sleep. . Brilliant purchase.

I find this air purifier easy to use, really like that there is sleep mode and that the display light can be turned off at night . So I have been getting a good sleep even with it on . On the auto setting , it does an excellent job of detecting when the air quality has dropped and turns the fan up accordingly . The air when , I use it certainly feels purer and as an asthmatic that is important. Great product would recommend.

My allergies have gone and I'm annoyed I didn't buy one years ago!
So I have had this for over a month now and I have seen some differences already. First I have Allergic Rhinitis and very very light asthma which basically means my nose is almost constantly backed up and needs blowing all the time and I mean literally a full nose about 10 times per day along with a dry cough, It has been a massive annoyance to me and it is something that I have just got used to. I don’t consider my flat or bedroom to be particularly dusty or have any special need for something like this however… Since this has been used I can honestly say that I am yet to wake up with anything but a clear nose! I haven’t had a full nose since buying this and I am gobsmacked… Not only that but my dry coughing has stopped too! The actual unit is good looking and super easy to use however I wish I got the app controlled version because I tend to put this in which ever room I am sitting in for a few hours so that would have been a nice thing to have. I have also checked the filter after a month and it was covered in dust!!!
In terms of removing smells it’s average, not amazing but quite good if left for half hour or so however for removing smoke from the air it’s pretty good for that. I see people often asking if this unit is good for cannabis smells and I can confirm that It is pretty poor at that however if you leave a window open with this on full it works very well like that. Overall I’d give it a 8/10.
Excellent performance
This unit is brilliant. I keep it in my bedroom and leave the setting to auto in the main. It would come on when it needed, apply a burst of air cleansing then go back to the auto setting which emits a gentle steady cleansing.
When I was painting in the flat, it would come on more often and for longer periods. The blue colour would turn green to show the air needed purifying and it set to work. At night I would use the sleep function.
As an asthmatic, I have noticed a significant difference in my sleeping pattern – not waking during the night feeling stuffy and breathless. My room is 14f x 9f and it always feels crisp and clean air! I have also moved it around the flat and when I have had it in the hall (15f x 3f) it permeates it crispness around the flat.

Really happy with this, we have a house rabbit and my partner is allergic. He was really suffering so after some research I decided to buy this. It has helped no end and he no longer needs to use an inhaler. I leave it on auto mode and when I am changing the litter box or topping the hay feeder it automatically turns up the level of filtration. I want another bunny so will be buying a more advanced model and moving this upstairs!

Quiet and dark sleep mode
I wanted an air purifier to use overnight while sleeping. I am not a great sleeper though and needed a product that doesn’t interfere at all.
I crank this one up to max speed for 10-15 minutes to get the air in the room a head start and then switch to the night mode for sleeping. Night mode is a very quiet fan noise, only a slight gentle burr. The screen can also be switched off, so no lights at all. As it is so gentle I can’t imagine the night mode filters a lot, but with the head start I give it, it maintains the air well enough and I have experienced better sleep.
I find it hard to sleep with any sounds including white noise machines so for this to be ok for me is very pleasing. Especially as it is just a few feet from my head at night.
The auto sensor is pretty good too, but I don’t use it much for that purpose.

A nice looking unit. I smoke in a room with no windows and am using this to filter the smoke. So far it seems to be doing the job, that said it, like any other air purifier won’t get rid of all smalls. I’ve done some research and smell is much smaller than the filters in these can handle. I won’t hold it against this machine, besides for the same reason i can spray air freshener and it lets the small circulate but not the aerosol particulates.
I am not disappointed so far, but it is too early to provide a full review for it’s longevity/durability etc… This is why i have given it a four instead of a five.
The panel is clear and easy to operate. The fan inside does create noise on the highest setting, though that is to be expected from any fan. No fan is truly silent. It has a sleep mode that I haven’t tried yet, but that seems much quieter than the normal three speed options.
My item was a previosly purchased item so I am essentially the second owner but there were no marks or signs of use. It came with filters still sealed in their packets, the box had been taped up for a second time but it’s only packaging.

What a difference
Looked into air purifiers, because I have use CPAP for sleep Apnoea and found the constant air flow overnight was giving me terrible nasal problems… Although this has an immediate effect I have found an even bigger difference after the first week. It is surprising how much rubbish there is in the air we breathe indoors, have noticed less dust etc around the house as an added bonus.
I got this model and a smaller one, I would definitely get one which has the auto feature you can just switch on and leave…These things really clean the ai

We purchased this air purifier in November and so have been using it for about four months. We use it in the kitchen where my husband smokes. We also have two cats who spend a lot of time in the kitchen. We leave it running 24hours a day and it has made such a difference. The air always smells clean and there is much less cat fur picked up from the floor. We took the filter off last week and it was amazing how much debris it had collected. This air filter has exceeded our expectations.

Levoit Air purifier.
The appliance is relatively light weight and can easily moved around the home. Its top panel buttons for which you operate the machine couldn’t be more self explanatory.
Sleep mode is so quiet that its almost impossible to hear. However because the fan is going so slowly in this mode I am left wondering how effective it is at cleaning the air or in fact it is even worth having on during the night at all in this mode.
What I have tended to do is to just leave it on fan setting one. While it’s obviously audible on this setting its still very quiet and has never prevented me from sleeping. During the day I tend to leave it on auto mode.
Over all it seems to be well made. The filters are very easy to change, although I have yet to change them so I can’t say how often they need replacing, but like many things it’ll depend on what level you have it set on and how high the pollutants in the air are.
I’m sure the room smells a lot fresher, however not having had an air purifier before I wasn’t sure what to expect but I think I was expecting a day and night noticeable difference but I can’t say that is the case. To be fair I think that it takes several days to make a difference on a large room so without having 2 identical rooms to compare, I feel its very difficult to give an accurate appraisal.
I LOVE IT!
I tried about 5 air purifiers previously to this, none of them had much suction to them, so I was still left with dust around the units, even on the highest and loudest settings on them i’d still be left with dust around, but this Lovoit one is amazing, the amount of dust it picks up is crazy, and I have bad OCD so my bedroom is spotless, but again the amount of dust it picks up is shocking, I use the handheld dusters on the filter, simply go over the filter with the duster so it picks up all the dust, otherwise i’d already be using a new filter by now! the sleep mode is nice, can hardly hear it, but even on the first setting it still isn’t that loud, it’s a nice white noise to block out the neighbours and so on, so I sleep with it on the first setting, if i’ve been decorating or have had the doors/windows open then i’ll put it on the top setting for an hour or so, overall 10/10 for this product, you get what you pay for.

This is excellent! Well worth the money. I can’t fault it at all. Having developed Asthma I bought this to make sure the air quality in the home is good. I keep my home as dust free as possible. Having this on auto, if it picks up anything it will turn on. I will get more for my other rooms, at the moment I move this from my lounge to my bedroom. It is easy to carry and move, but I will buy more so I do not have to move it all the time.

Noticeable air quality improvement.
This has proven very useful, being used in a one bedroom flat, it provides active automatic air filtering based on what it detects. For smoking, small diy jobs etc, it detects within seconds and actively filters until air quality returns. It’s noticeable, I’ve had the unit for a little over a month, I leave it to run on auto over night and the lounge is fresh each morning.

We got this air purifier for a room which has terrible air quality and we have it running pretty much continuously. It seems effective and has caught a LOT of dust and grime in the filter. However, I’m convinced it does anything to remove smells, and it can be quite noisy on the highest setting. Sleep mode is whisper quiet, but also isn’t strong enough to have much of an effect on air quality in my experience.
My main bug bear is that the auto setting doesn’t work and the air purifier will constantly show the air quality as being excellent, even though it definitely isn’t…which seems to be a common fault for most people judging by the comments section. We have 3 air purifiers and I wouldn’t say that this one is any more superior to the others I’ve purchased for less money.

Excellent piece of kit. I keep it on the automatic setting and it kicks in as and when required. I live near a busy road in central London and I notice a vast improvement in air quality and reduction in the amount of dust gathering in the sitting room.

Difficult to decide which unit to choose when researching online, Which claim that you need to spend at least 200.00.
I took a chance on this one and was very pleased with the result, really quiet would suit bedroom but powerful enough for living area. The auto setting does a great job, it reads the air quality and increases power when necessary. I also bought the Levoit model which is half the price for the bedroom, but that one is a bit noisy. I would recommend if your going to buy a unit that you go for this one I’m very pleased with it.
Perfectly clean sweet air ......
I bought two of these to help clean the air of our house as I’m an enthusiastic cook and my stir-fries produce quite a lot of smoke. I have put one of the units in my study where I’m permitted to smoke the odd cigar and the unit has been set to automatic. It immediately switches when I start smoking on and cleans the air and switches itself off once the air is sweet and the purifiers exceeded my expectations as they leave the air smelling crisp, clean and sweet, so much so that I have just bought a third one for our hall. Our lounge is large with an open log fire and this purifiers cleans the air admirably. The fact that they can be left on automatic means that they know when to switch on and off and use very little electricity and are extremely quiet when operating.
There are more expensive units on the market but these are fully HEPA compliant units with active charcoal and I cannot see how a more expensive purifier would be any more effective. We’re finding that we’re sleeping better. Also, if you register online then the guarantee extends to a second year which is very reassuring

It works!
We were having some building work done and clearing out the loft and my dog developed a dust allergy. We bought this item to help address the issue until the building work was finished and it did the job, going into overdrive whenever too much dust was being created. Now we tend to leave it on night mode at all times, it is virtually silent and the dog is fine. It also alerted us to the fact that one of our vacuum cleaners was creating a lot of dust and needed to be replaced with one with a true hepa filter.

Great product at a good price
I just plugged in my new Levoit and i’m very pleased. Looks-wise, it’s a fairly unobtrusive white box about the size of a piece of carry-on luggage. It’s easy to pick up and move thanks to indentations on the sides.
What I really like are the controls on the top. Everything is extremely simple and intuitive. The touch-sensitive buttons are clearly labelled, and the icons are easily recognizable. There’s also a pleasing “ping” sound when you push, so you get immediate feedback. I was up and running in seconds. I’m a bit of a stickler for good interface design, and the Levoit impressed me immediately with its ease-of-use.
Everything else seems fine – i know that these HEPA purifiers are all more or less the same under the covers, so I won’t bang on about the air quality or the fan speed. To wrap up, this is a nicely-designed unit at a good price, and I’m very happy with my choice.
Oh – do NOT forget to open the back and remove the plastic bag from the filters ! There also a bit of plastic on the screen that you can peel off.

I vape a lot and the Levoit sucks it all in and clears the room very quickly.
Great for getting rid of cooking smells in kitchen though it does take a while on medium setting.
High setting is really loud but hardly ever reaches this when on auto.
A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
I use this to remove cigarette smoke odour from a small room and it works. I would advise changing the filter more often than every 6 months if you’re using it to clear a smoky room. Every 3 months would be ideal. I opened the filters to check them after 3 months. There was no smell of cigarette smoke in there but the top one was pretty dirty so I vacuumed it. Don’t wash then, you’ll ruin them. Vacuuming seems to help them last a bit longer.

I cannot rate the Levoit LV-PUR 131 machine highly enough. I’ve had it for a few months now as I wanted to see how good it was before I left a review. You will not be disappointed. There are still a few of us smokers left out there and although I have cut down considerably, I’m still finding it hard to completely quit. I have a beautiful home and I wanted to keep it that way…..even smokers hate what nicotine does to your decor. This is the solution, I use my machine in a small room in the house with the door closed…..perfect. It allows you to have a crafty cigarette without doing too much damage to your home. The Levoit LV-PUR 131 does the job brilliantly, especially on high speed when you smoke. I leave it on Auto for the rest of the time so it will come on if it needs to purify further. This makes it really cost effective, my bills haven’t gone up that much at all.
This machine is really effective and has some great features including a timer, I know it is really good at what it is actually designed for but hey, us smokers need some help too. If you want clean air then this is the one. If you’re a smoker too, then you definitely need this machine. I cannot fault it !

For any of you individuals who think that this product does not work please take a look at the images below of my filter after only 4 months of operation. My apartment is in the middle of a city centre location. Hence why I need this product. The pollution residue on the filter made me feel sick just looking at it but better in the filter than in my lungs. I live in a traffic dense area, carbon pollution is literally killing people. Thank you to Levoit for making excellent products which help protect us from the evils of airborne contaminants and pollution. I would never again live without a HEPA filter as I now know they do a life-saving job.
