“Levoit Air Purifiers for Home 48m with True HEPA Filter”. I have now had this product for over a year. I leave it on 24hrs a day. I leave it on auto, and it does the job. If there are any changes to the air quality like the vacuum cleaner gets too close of something burns in the kitchen it increases its workload and then returns back to normal when the job is done.
I have the unit in the living room and It is quiet in operation generally speaking and you can’t hear it during normal operation.
The cost of the filters is high but I believe they are good quality and I only buy the recommend type and not any cheaper replacements from other manufacturers.
Having returned a noisy bagotte air purifier I didn’t know what to expect… But I was blown away by how much better this one is.. it comes with an actual charcoal filter (with the charcoal beads) it’s powerful, silent, easy to use and to top it all off it comes with a very good air quality sensor. I purposefully put a candle that was smoking a bit near the unit and a moment later the light turned green to indicate air quality is degrading. The fan automatically turned up until the air quality went to blue. I think for the price, this is the best air purifier you can buy.
Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? We have 2 dogs, I have asthma and the dust these 2 ‘ehem’ darlings, bring in to the house is obscene. Since Christmas (it’s now 1st of March this purifier has changed my life (literally). No more waking up with heavy and wheezy chest. No more dust on our furniture, it’s just fantastic. We’ve got 3 more homes hooked on them too.
I have access to an air compressor at home so every week I remove the filters and I blow them clean, just tap or use an old nail brush or similar to brush off and tap on the floor if you haven’t got fed air. Beware, the shock of how much crap these catch is truly shocking!

I brought this for my kids room as my neighbor have wood burner smeell coming to their room. I quickly unbox and set it up. Everytine I smell the wood burning smell I checked the room and it light up as red. Mean it is working. I have them at high once a day and the rest of the day on auto. Thank you
Very pleased with this air purifier neat design and very easy to use. Quiet sleep mode if needed I normally run it in the day I give the main sitting room a boost on high setting each morning then run it on low setting nice and quiet on low you could forget it was on.
The Levoit air purifiers are excellent, I purchased this version for the bedroom (25m2) excellent machine, we use the air purifier mainly during the night, not noisy, in fact it has a perfect 3 mode choice and the night is the lowest sound . cleans the air , I suffer from asthma and I sleep much better when it’s on , I use it while working out from home via zoom in the same room . the other Levoit I bought is excellent too , bigger in size and round and tall , the bigger size has a different filter and is potent enough to cover th 44m2.

Quite loud when on full speed, nice if it was a bit quieter but good job non the less. Not sure if it is efficient enough when on lower speed or sleep mode.
Air quality monitor features are nice to have, should make these available as well.
I wasn’t convinced these air purifiers work but being asthmatic and with a husband who seems to suffer from allergies including dust, pollen and pet hair I thought it was worth a go.
It’s been enlightening seeing the air purifier go into ‘red’ mode when someone sprays either air freshener or anti perspirant somewhere else in the house. I’m Im impressed with its sensitivity. The other surprising thing is how often the air purifier speeds up when people are cooking particularly grilling or frying. This air purifier is in my living room and not particularly close to the kitchen so Once again I’m impressed with its sensitivity.
My husbands sneezing and nose blowing has definitely decreased, I’d say as much as 80%. I don’t seem as wheezy either.
I’m impressed enough to buy another one for upstairs on the landing now.
I also saw a recent news programme about a doctor who works on the Covid wards who, as an experiment, put an air purifier in one of his wards. When tested, it had removed all of the covid from the air as well as other harmful viruses including fungus spores.
To sum up Id say give it a go. It seems to definitely work for us and it does seem to detect changes in air quality from other rooms in the house. May not work for others but it has for us.
One final point I’m due to clean the filter soon and will update with any further useful info and pictures if I think it’s newsworthy
Been doing some home renovation and got one of these to help manage dust levels. On regular checks of the filter you can see it sucks in the dust. The filter inspection door which is magnetic is a brilliant design giving easy quick access. I lightly vacuum the large filter and reuse. Not a cheap unit, but it is effective. I like all the modes on the unit. I wish I had 2 of them. Also well made.
It’s a well made unit with three-stage filtration, and it does the job, judging by the dust and dirt on my filter. The automatic sensor isn’t very sensitive, even after cleaning the sensor. Sleep mode is very quiet but probably doesn’t draw in much air to be worth it.
All in all, I’ve owned other purifiers before around 30-50, and this one works, but is no better than them.
Bought for my dads flat as he has night carers and he smokes. Made it much easier to get night sitters as the unit got rid of the smoke and smell. It was able to detect the smoke on auto so didn’t have to manually operate it. Perfect, so I bought another for my home.

im a smoker but i don’t like the smell to settle on my room, when i smoke i turn it on while smoking and smoke near an open window, then when i finish i close the window and let the purifier run for a while and in few minutes the room feels fresh.
It takes a good amount of energy if you use it carelessly on max all the time and it makes background noise (which i personally like) and is true that the sleeping mode is very quiet but it’s obviously doing less to make your air clean.
Only had this item for a month but it is doing everything that it should, noise level is good and very economically to run , thinking of getting one more for downstairs.
Quiet operation. Detects air quality and if clean then goes to low power setting, if dirty then high power. My slight gripe is it does not detect high pollen so is always on low setting. Filters are cheap. Decent air purifier and won’t go too far wrong buying this.

Got this to replace – yes, an expensive dyson which is now getting too noisy and filters expensive and hard to buy.. It looks neat, operates easily, is good value including filters, the amount of activated carbon in the filter so good for removing odours during the filters life. Its simple to use and perhaps even better than the dyson in operation and for quarter of the price, so it’s a no brainer.
This is the second one I bought although I bought the WiFi edition on the previous occasion. These devices are simple to use, with just a few buttons to operate and the large intake. I have had to clean my first filter and it was so simple to pull the large square filter out and replace it. No fidgety turns and twists to open the unit to get to the filter. Just strong magnets holding the back cover on. So simply pull it away for full access.
So silent at night, I ended up checking a few times to see if it’s on!.
his is a very quiet filter on the lowest settings could easily be left on while sleeping, and the automatic mode is great. removes ‘funny’ smelling smoke quickly but need to change the filter so often if using for that as the filter quickly sucks up the ‘funny’ smell and even when not smoking and you turn the filter on you will smell it and that’s when you know to change the filter currently about a month maximum filter life if smoking but if not smoking the filter would last a lot longer.
Uses good quality filters as would be expected from levoit, quiet running with auto function. Air intake from side. The sensor displays air quality via a colour system only, not numbers like other similarly priced air purifiers. A good buy for those looking for auto functio
I have recently purchased two of these air purifiers, one for downstairs and one for my bedroom. While the quality of the air seems to be very good most of the time, as the purifier is in blue mode, I can still notice that fresh air smell. They definitely work so well as when I am doing my hair in the bedroom and using sprays etc, suddenly the purifier “springs into action” going from blue to green to even sometimes red. It then returns to blue again after a few minutes. Also if my cats are playing around it, it can change . So reassuring to know that the air I am breathing is better.
Also, I have to add, when I had a wee problem in the beginning and had to contact seller, the customer service I received was simply fantastic – sorted out my problem immediately in a friendly, efficient and reassuring manner. I would recommend this product and seller from the roof top. You will not be disappointed.
I have used the smaller Levoit filters for some time, but these struggled to keep my large dining/living room clear of the cigarette smoke (my brother is the source).
This larger unit keeps my room clear of the smoke, and I notice a great difference in the overall air quality. I have had this installed on the floor of my room and switch it on at max power when I get up. After about 1.5 hours the air is totally clear and I switch it to one of the lower settings. If I notice any smoke smell, a switch to max power (still very quiet) and after about 20 minutes the room is again smoke clear.
No idea how long the filter will last with the usage above (I have had the unit for 2 months), but I would find it worth every penny to get a smoke free room.
I was looking for something to clear the air in my bedroom as I also 3D print there. I got a double room and it clear the air in 30 minutes flat.
It is noisy when on full speed but I keep it on automatic detection which is a great option and it works and on sleep mode at night.
Recommended if you have a constant 3D printer (FDM and SLA) working in the background.
Amazing product I’ve been using it every day when I’m home on the auto option,its not noisy at all in this level.
It was for my allergies to my cat and I definitely felt a difference in the air quality after a few days of having it on.
Also when I’m cooking or I re wall papered and had to sand the wall down, it automatically changed functions because it detects something in the air.
I also brought a smaller levoit for my bedroom.
Its definitely doing something not sure what but wouldn’t be without it now.

She couldn’t spend any time in the living room without deep cleaning beforehand or just accepting the puffy cheeks and watering eyes; now we can happily spend an evening on the sofa.
Needed something urgently to allow us to sleep while the people in the flat upstairs fry extensively late at night every night. Our bedroom was like trying to sleep in a chip shop. The device works well on auto, and responds rapidly to smells now I have removed the sensor cover. My only problem is that whoever designed something with touch screen controls on the flat top, obviously never shared their lives with four cats. The kitten tends to reset everything in the middle of the night!
Use this particularly for nights, so the sleep mode and quietness is very important to me. When I’ve used it in a new room, it speeds up a lot to start purifying the air.
We can’t air out the bottom of our stairs since there is no windows, and as a result, all the kitchen smells get trapped there. So we bought this to help combat that. It has worked excellently so far, I must say! The stairs no longer stink with stale cooking smells – if we cook something particularly whiffy, then we just stick this on full blast for a bit until it clears the air.
Only issue we have is that it can’t possibly work fast enough to stop the smells rising and getting trapped in our upstairs bedrooms, but I can’t fault it for that. I think we just need to get another one for upstairs now!
This is a solid piece of kit, the filters are large and the motor is powerful. In ‘auto’ mode it responds almost immediately to cooking odours, more slowly to smoke. This is not really a problem as you can easily switch the fan to high and it clears the room (5m x 9m x 2m) in a few of minutes.
I’ve have no problem with the loudness of the unit: it is very noticeable on ‘high’ (something similar to the background noise on a plane). I find this reassuring as I know it is doing it’s job! The ‘sleep’ mode is inaudible to me, but the air flow is so tiny that I wonder if it is very effective.
All in all I would highly recommend this unit especially if there is a smoker in the household.
We do a lot of laser cutting and needed a backup in case the ventilation system wasn’t up to scratch. This unit sits on automatic and you can’t tell its on, night mode is also ultra silent. When on full fan speed it is noise but quickly clears an entire room of the contaminant. Was skeptical at first but the air inside feels cleaner and any smells from the laser, pets or cigarettes are dealt with instantly. Very impressed.
Chosen because it was a good price for the CADR and for replacement HEPA filters. Levoit is a known supplier (mainly US), so hopefully replacement filters will remain available.
Easy to set up and to use. Looks smart and unobtrusive. Lead is annoyingly short for a device that should be used away from walls/furniture. Easy to lift up and move around.
On sleep mode it is practically silent. Going full blast, you certainly hear the sound of the air, but this is only to be expected. This model quotes lower dB than many of the competitors. I have no means of checking if it is accurate, but the noise level seems reasonable.
I am surprised (suspicious) to see that the display shows the air quality in my room as good (blue) and it is disappointing that this display works in ‘auto’ mode, but not when you set the fan level manually.
I have not used it enough yet to get an idea of how quickly the filter clogs and whether the recommended changing interval is reasonable.
This is a great bit of kit. I was a bit dubious when my wife bought the purifier, but I am a convert now. It’s made a massive difference to my wife who suffers from hay fever and regularly had to get up through the night to take anti histamines. Not any more, the purifier seems to do exactly what it says on the box and is defiantly helping her get a good night sleep. . Brilliant purchase.
I find this air purifier easy to use, really like that there is sleep mode and that the display light can be turned off at night . So I have been getting a good sleep even with it on . On the auto setting , it does an excellent job of detecting when the air quality has dropped and turns the fan up accordingly . The air when , I use it certainly feels purer and as an asthmatic that is important. Great product would recommend.

So I have had this for over a month now and I have seen some differences already. First I have Allergic Rhinitis and very very light asthma which basically means my nose is almost constantly backed up and needs blowing all the time and I mean literally a full nose about 10 times per day along with a dry cough, It has been a massive annoyance to me and it is something that I have just got used to. I don’t consider my flat or bedroom to be particularly dusty or have any special need for something like this however… Since this has been used I can honestly say that I am yet to wake up with anything but a clear nose! I haven’t had a full nose since buying this and I am gobsmacked… Not only that but my dry coughing has stopped too! The actual unit is good looking and super easy to use however I wish I got the app controlled version because I tend to put this in which ever room I am sitting in for a few hours so that would have been a nice thing to have. I have also checked the filter after a month and it was covered in dust!!!
In terms of removing smells it’s average, not amazing but quite good if left for half hour or so however for removing smoke from the air it’s pretty good for that. I see people often asking if this unit is good for cannabis smells and I can confirm that It is pretty poor at that however if you leave a window open with this on full it works very well like that. Overall I’d give it a 8/10.
This unit is brilliant. I keep it in my bedroom and leave the setting to auto in the main. It would come on when it needed, apply a burst of air cleansing then go back to the auto setting which emits a gentle steady cleansing.
When I was painting in the flat, it would come on more often and for longer periods. The blue colour would turn green to show the air needed purifying and it set to work. At night I would use the sleep function.
As an asthmatic, I have noticed a significant difference in my sleeping pattern – not waking during the night feeling stuffy and breathless. My room is 14f x 9f and it always feels crisp and clean air! I have also moved it around the flat and when I have had it in the hall (15f x 3f) it permeates it crispness around the flat.

Really happy with this, we have a house rabbit and my partner is allergic. He was really suffering so after some research I decided to buy this. It has helped no end and he no longer needs to use an inhaler. I leave it on auto mode and when I am changing the litter box or topping the hay feeder it automatically turns up the level of filtration. I want another bunny so will be buying a more advanced model and moving this upstairs!

I have used the smaller Levoit filters for some time, but these struggled to keep my large dining/living room clear of the cigarette smoke (my brother is the source).
This larger unit keeps my room clear of the smoke, and I notice a great difference in the overall air quality. I have had this installed on the floor of my room and switch it on at max power when I get up. After about 1.5 hours the air is totally clear and I switch it to one of the lower settings. If I notice any smoke smell, a switch to max power (still very quiet) and after about 20 minutes the room is again smoke clear.
No idea how long the filter will last with the usage above (I have had the unit for 2 months), but I would find it worth every penny to get a smoke free room.
I was looking for something to clear the air in my bedroom as I also 3D print there. I got a double room and it clear the air in 30 minutes flat.
It is noisy when on full speed but I keep it on automatic detection which is a great option and it works and on sleep mode at night.
Recommended if you have a constant 3D printer (FDM and SLA) working in the background.
Amazing product I’ve been using it every day when I’m home on the auto option,its not noisy at all in this level.
It was for my allergies to my cat and I definitely felt a difference in the air quality after a few days of having it on.
Also when I’m cooking or I re wall papered and had to sand the wall down, it automatically changed functions because it detects something in the air.
I also brought a smaller levoit for my bedroom.
Its definitely doing something not sure what but wouldn’t be without it now.

She couldn’t spend any time in the living room without deep cleaning beforehand or just accepting the puffy cheeks and watering eyes; now we can happily spend an evening on the sofa.
Needed something urgently to allow us to sleep while the people in the flat upstairs fry extensively late at night every night. Our bedroom was like trying to sleep in a chip shop. The device works well on auto, and responds rapidly to smells now I have removed the sensor cover. My only problem is that whoever designed something with touch screen controls on the flat top, obviously never shared their lives with four cats. The kitten tends to reset everything in the middle of the night!
Use this particularly for nights, so the sleep mode and quietness is very important to me. When I’ve used it in a new room, it speeds up a lot to start purifying the air.
Working from home and dust was building up on everything in my office.
Left on auto mode (almost silent) this filter has slowly collected the dust as it is disturbed and now no more accumulates.
After a week it had collected quite a lot, which I cleaned out with ‘Henry’. Now I think it will just be a job every month.

We can’t air out the bottom of our stairs since there is no windows, and as a result, all the kitchen smells get trapped there. So we bought this to help combat that. It has worked excellently so far, I must say! The stairs no longer stink with stale cooking smells – if we cook something particularly whiffy, then we just stick this on full blast for a bit until it clears the air.
Only issue we have is that it can’t possibly work fast enough to stop the smells rising and getting trapped in our upstairs bedrooms, but I can’t fault it for that. I think we just need to get another one for upstairs now!
This is a solid piece of kit, the filters are large and the motor is powerful. In ‘auto’ mode it responds almost immediately to cooking odours, more slowly to smoke. This is not really a problem as you can easily switch the fan to high and it clears the room (5m x 9m x 2m) in a few of minutes.
I’ve have no problem with the loudness of the unit: it is very noticeable on ‘high’ (something similar to the background noise on a plane). I find this reassuring as I know it is doing it’s job! The ‘sleep’ mode is inaudible to me, but the air flow is so tiny that I wonder if it is very effective.
All in all I would highly recommend this unit especially if there is a smoker in the household.
We do a lot of laser cutting and needed a backup in case the ventilation system wasn’t up to scratch. This unit sits on automatic and you can’t tell its on, night mode is also ultra silent. When on full fan speed it is noise but quickly clears an entire room of the contaminant. Was skeptical at first but the air inside feels cleaner and any smells from the laser, pets or cigarettes are dealt with instantly. Very impressed.
Chosen because it was a good price for the CADR and for replacement HEPA filters. Levoit is a known supplier (mainly US), so hopefully replacement filters will remain available.
Easy to set up and to use. Looks smart and unobtrusive. Lead is annoyingly short for a device that should be used away from walls/furniture. Easy to lift up and move around.
On sleep mode it is practically silent. Going full blast, you certainly hear the sound of the air, but this is only to be expected. This model quotes lower dB than many of the competitors. I have no means of checking if it is accurate, but the noise level seems reasonable.
I am surprised (suspicious) to see that the display shows the air quality in my room as good (blue) and it is disappointing that this display works in ‘auto’ mode, but not when you set the fan level manually.
I have not used it enough yet to get an idea of how quickly the filter clogs and whether the recommended changing interval is reasonable.
This is a great bit of kit. I was a bit dubious when my wife bought the purifier, but I am a convert now. It’s made a massive difference to my wife who suffers from hay fever and regularly had to get up through the night to take anti histamines. Not any more, the purifier seems to do exactly what it says on the box and is defiantly helping her get a good night sleep. . Brilliant purchase.
I find this air purifier easy to use, really like that there is sleep mode and that the display light can be turned off at night . So I have been getting a good sleep even with it on . On the auto setting , it does an excellent job of detecting when the air quality has dropped and turns the fan up accordingly . The air when , I use it certainly feels purer and as an asthmatic that is important. Great product would recommend.

After installing this device at home, my blood oxygen level is now %spo2 97/98 – resting heart rate PR 82 bpm.
This is as near perfect as you can get .. and has been a life changer for me.

So I have had this for over a month now and I have seen some differences already. First I have Allergic Rhinitis and very very light asthma which basically means my nose is almost constantly backed up and needs blowing all the time and I mean literally a full nose about 10 times per day along with a dry cough, It has been a massive annoyance to me and it is something that I have just got used to. I don’t consider my flat or bedroom to be particularly dusty or have any special need for something like this however… Since this has been used I can honestly say that I am yet to wake up with anything but a clear nose! I haven’t had a full nose since buying this and I am gobsmacked… Not only that but my dry coughing has stopped too! The actual unit is good looking and super easy to use however I wish I got the app controlled version because I tend to put this in which ever room I am sitting in for a few hours so that would have been a nice thing to have. I have also checked the filter after a month and it was covered in dust!!!
In terms of removing smells it’s average, not amazing but quite good if left for half hour or so however for removing smoke from the air it’s pretty good for that. I see people often asking if this unit is good for cannabis smells and I can confirm that It is pretty poor at that however if you leave a window open with this on full it works very well like that. Overall I’d give it a 8/10.
This unit is brilliant. I keep it in my bedroom and leave the setting to auto in the main. It would come on when it needed, apply a burst of air cleansing then go back to the auto setting which emits a gentle steady cleansing.
When I was painting in the flat, it would come on more often and for longer periods. The blue colour would turn green to show the air needed purifying and it set to work. At night I would use the sleep function.
As an asthmatic, I have noticed a significant difference in my sleeping pattern – not waking during the night feeling stuffy and breathless. My room is 14f x 9f and it always feels crisp and clean air! I have also moved it around the flat and when I have had it in the hall (15f x 3f) it permeates it crispness around the flat.
excellent! runs inconspicuously in living room; settings on ‘auto’ . Impressed as when toast brought in, it ramps up fan speed for a few minutes. Recommended for pollen sufferers.
Really happy with this, we have a house rabbit and my partner is allergic. He was really suffering so after some research I decided to buy this. It has helped no end and he no longer needs to use an inhaler. I leave it on auto mode and when I am changing the litter box or topping the hay feeder it automatically turns up the level of filtration. I want another bunny so will be buying a more advanced model and moving this upstairs!
