I love this game! I’ve played through it once, but am going to go back through again making different choices to see alternative endings/scenes etc.

Super immersive story, beautiful soundtrack and amazing graphics. I found myself lost in this little world for hours and was really sad to come to the end.

It’s a really relaxing game to play, too, more of an interactive story. Perfect when you’re not in the mood for something that requires super high concentration.

This game sounds beautiful, the sound track is absolute bliss.

The cinematography and graphics are lovely too. Game play is a little flat but it’s to be expected for a story telling cinematic game, would recommend if you want something nice to enjoy

Having played the previous 2 life is strange titles I obviously gave this one a try. It’s a really beautiful game. I feel it’s a bit shorter than the first two but I may be wrong. It’s now easily my favourite among the series.

    Beautiful game

Finished the game! It was an amazing experience from the start to the end. Personally, I felt that one of the chapter was very ‘filler’ but enjoyable. I love most of the characters, although some I would love more character development. Switch gameplay wise, controls were good. Graphics at the start was amazing when showing the characters up close and during dialogues. Also, graphics aren’t bad when inside a building. But roaming the town, it’s so blurry and messy. Still enjoyable at least.

I beat this game in 2 days, really cool liked the choices and how they changed the story and it was cheap as well, thought it was a bit short but that’s probably cause I blasted through it. Great story must play

I don’t normally play this type of story driven/multi-choice question game, but I happened to come across a YouTube review on it when it first released to the eShop a few months ago and I thought this sounds interesting so figured that I would wait for a price reduction then maybe give it a punt.

Fast forward a couple of months I found it had a physical version on Amazon at around the 35 mark so I figured let’s give it a go! and wow, so pleased I did, this game will make you think about your own past choices in life and the story in the game is compelling enough to keep you hooked with some exceptional WTF! moments to boot.

Graphically, it’s pleasant enough, though it must be said that visually there are better looking versions on other systems available, but I guess it pulls a few points back for being able to play it on the go, though I only played through it in ‘docked’ mode. The character movement during the actual gameplay parts can at times be a little ‘jankey’ but you soon get used to it.

I should point out that the loading times when going through doors are long, [think Resident Evil on the first Playstation but longer!] As I’ve already mentioned the game is mainly story based with multi-choice questions for you to consider, but there are actual gameplay elements as well, and I personally think the split between the two types of gameplay are about right. If you’re looking for constant hands-on gameplay then this probably won’t be the game for you.

When switching to a new part of a chapter, again be prepared for long loading times, however these things I found only slightly irritating, it didn’t stop me from wanting to know what was going to happen next in the story.

When you put the cartridge into the Switch you will be greeted with an update for the game which is more than 6 gigs, so be prepared and make sure you have the room on your system or memory card for it.

The game only took me about 3 days to complete, probably about 8-10 hrs of gameplay, so at 35 for the physical version this might not seem good value. I’m pretty sure I’m going to play through it again as different answers during the game will reveal new dialogue and scenarios to mull over.

The music used in the game is superb, there are a couple of ‘exceptionally played’ cover versions and there is original licensed artist material too.

I don’t really want to mention the story or anything that happens, I’ve attached a video of one of the tracks if you want to watch, though not a story spoiler, it is kind of a music spoiler, so don’t watch it if you want to discover everything yourself when you first start playing the game.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and will play more, also there is a further expansion of the story available on the Nintendo eShop, well at least it’s a prequel of one of the characters in the game, so that’s another reason to keep it.

Play it and enjoy the experience.
