I like this tarpaulin which my friends set up in their garden for a shady spot. I struggled a bit with the instructions so make sure you get help from someone who used to be in the Scouts. Good quality and well made.

I was impressed by the reinforced attachment points and the general quality of the fly.

Did a great job of providing shade, which is why we got it.

We were able to comfortably cook, chat and enjoy ourselves despite the deluge that came after.

It was easy to set up— I recommend attaching the guylines to every other strap using a bowline knot, then coil up so it’s not a tangled mess when you pack/unpack.

This is light weight, strong and easily stuffs back into the bag when the trip is over.

    Definetly worth i

A good addition to my camper van!
As we are getting ready for our summer camper van trips ,we trying to sort out everything we may need to get the best experience.
We didn’t though about a tent so far ,but this year is different with two small kids around so we thought one of these might be useful to protect them when they sleep from the sun and why not from the rain.
The tent looks strong and durable , the fabric looks resistant and will probably last is more seasons.
It is not the easiest thing to install ,but we are quite used to tents and the first time is the most challenging anyway.
Size wise is pretty good and will meet our needs.
Once folded can easily go on its own carry bag and it does not require too much space ..Important!
Overall it is a good option out there ,definitely handy for our camping days!

    Estremamente utile e confortevole

I didn’t request this to go camping, but to use in our garden. We have a really nice shady area between two trees that is perfect for slinging a hammock. There’s just one problem: wood pigeons like to sit in the branches above and where they sit they also create rather large deposits, landing on the hammock beneath. This allows us to use the hammock without it/us gaining unwanted pigeon attentions.

This comes in a practical storage bag, with a drawstring at one end and a grab handle at the other — so if you did want to take it camping, it’s quite portable and practically packaged.

The set consists of the tarp, with a series of webbing straps with reinforced metal ringlets in them at its edges and corners; 6 rope sections; 6 galvanised tent pegs; and the storage bag.

The instructions for setting this up could have been better, there are a few shape configuration suggestions (which don’t make clear that pole fixings or something to tie this to are required to achieve these shapes), and a few close detail images of the ropes being affixed to the tent tarp. These are small, rather grainy, and show green rope and green tarp edges against a background of grass, so the contrast is pretty dire — it would be a lot easier to see what they’re trying to show if they’d just shown the product against a white background instead of photoshopping in grass. This is fine if you’ve set up similar structures before, not so much if you’re new to this.

This is a waterproof camping tarpaulin with UV protection.

It is ultralight, equipped with 6 aluminum nails that are easily fixed to the ground, and 6 ropes.

It protects from rain and sun.

Besides making it useful in camping, it can also be used to protect cars, animals etc.

It is very resistant. The seams are strong and well made.

    Convenient to carry, highly recommended.

The tent comes in a bag with all that is needed to be set up. I am not very sure about the anti UV light and the fabric is not that thick, but it is waterproof which is most important for me. Very easy to set up, my partner actually build a tent frame in the garden for the kids and we use it from time to time with the tent and it work amazing. Great value for money

The Lynker fly sheet is a great piece of kit for the right situation. In the middle of a field (i.e. no trees, poles etc. to hand) it’s not really going to be much use – you need things to string it up from/to. If you are using it with a hammock – camping – changes are there are trees around you so there are likely to be appropriate anchor points. It is supplied (as clearly shown) with six pegs and six guy lines.

Since there are actually eight webbing points (which are robust) – one at each end, four on the corners and one at each mid point on the edges – I would add two lengths of cord to the “kit”. This would allow tying off of the end points (e.g. to trees) as well as having guy lines and pegs (six provided) for anchoring things securely.

For rain protection – this will do the job (as with most camping however, wind and rain coming sideways will likely be an exception) – and if you’re somewhere sunny the UV layer provides a great sun screen.

Packing things back into the bags they came in can be a challenge – this is no exception although all told it’s significantly easier than some. Two bags are provided so the flysheet goes in one and pegs/ropes in the other. In terms of utility versus weight – at just over a kilo in weight it’s not a hugely heavy addition given what it provides.

This tarp is constructed with 210D oxford rip-stop fabric and PU 3000mm waterproof rating, which will provide many uses.

What I disagree with in the add is the use of the word ‘tent’ given there are no poles included. I also object to sellers using photoshopped images on their adverts and wish Amazon would stop allowing these.

As a tarp, it is a decent bit of kit to have when camping. It can be used as a ground sheet or, it you’re in an area with tree supports you can use it as a makeshift shade. I’m waiting for an opportunity to go to the wood and set up my hammock – this comes with 6 pieces of cord so should easily be attached to trees. Once I have photos, I’ll upload them to this review.

Based on initial inspection, the product is very well made and should serve the purpose I need it for.

We got this multi-purpose tarp tent by lynker mainly to add a bit of wind resistance to one side of our gazebo — and it does the job well. This item is basically a largish tarp measuring 3 by 3.2 metres (10 by 10 feet) that can turned into a sort-of tent or other covering by using the supplied stakes and ropes. It is made from decent 210 Denier Oxford fabric with a PU 3000mm waterproof rating, which is light-weight and also offers some UV protection – it is supplied in a handy storage/carrying bag. Currently around twenty-seven pounds from Amazon this tarp tent is quite useful if you think the design works for you, and offers decent value for the quality of the material. A clever design but not really a proper tent whatever you do with it — four stars.

We have used tent flys or “tarps” similar to this for years when motorcycle touring and camping as well as “base camp” camping while hill walking. They add a lot of covered space to fight sun and rain compared with the size and weight carried. This one was ordered for a slightly different reason, to keep the rain away from our patio while doing DIY work there, but I am sure it will now be a part of our camping kit.

So far I have been impressed. It is without doubt more solidly constructed than any tarp we have used in the past and although a little heavier it is still light enough to back pack if needed. It comes with some pegs and guys but to make it perfect we have always used our walking poles inverted as poles as it adds a lot more useable space.

If you are a camper using a small tent thes is the easiest way to add useable space without a lot of extra weight and this tap seems a good quality option.

I’ve been looking for a good tarp tent for some time having already used a few which proved to be too lightweight, flimsy, billowy or simply didn’t stand up to a British rain shower. This Lynker tarp is better than the other 5 I’ve used and has given a very much more reliable performance.

The tarp sheet measures 3.2 x 3m, is medium weight, not flimsy, with a hydrostatic head of 3000 meaning it will handle light-medium showers. It is well made, stitched securely, has reinforced corners and strong loops for pegging out using the 6 pegs supplied along with 6 high-vis yellow guy lines.

We are year-round leisure campers with an outdoor lifestyle, using both a self-build camper van and I also driveway car-camp while caring for frail relatives. We’ve used the tarp as a campervan awning, fastening the tarp loops around the van’s roof-bars to provide a rain and wind-resist canopy for outdoor cooking or sitting. On my car, I create a temporary rear canopy by fixing the tarp to the opened rear hatch, securing it with magnets which hold it in place without creating any damage to my car’s paintwork. This allows a rear extension for weather-proof cooking or, when the tarp is fitted to the side opening door, it forms a side tent for cooking, sitting or changing clothing etc or, in the right weather, an improvised shower.

Other uses include creating a tent over a micro-camper to provide shade in summer or prevent the drumming or rain on a tin roof.

The tarp is so versatile that it can be used to create an awning or canopy for a car or campervan, create a simple ‘ridge tent’ shelter with the use of a 3m pole (two fully-extended walking poles will suffice) running along the centre, hammock canopy, groundsheet or rain/sun shelter.

It is convenient to carry, especially if you can fold it back into its drawstring bag – which I have not yet managed and is lightweight at 1.1kg.

For 29.99 this provides excellent value and I would definitely recommend it for a wide range of outdoor uses whether camping or simply need a temporary rain or sun shelter.

Durable versatile tarp ideal for camping, car-camping, campervan awning... so many uses

3m x 3m Hammock Rain Fly Tent Tarp from SAMIT

Compared to my other camping tarps, I find this product decently made as the materials are of good quality, but I can’t say that it is excellently made, more mediocre. Eight metal rings support the paracord. The metal rings attached to the corner ties are not integrated into the trap, which is better as it can be flexible when blown by the wind. I was able to use it when I had camped in the Lakes, and I am happy to say that it is waterproof.

However, it could have been helpful if there were more metal rings to support the sides, especially when the wind gets stronger. Tho, I am glad that the edges are sewn professionally clean. Overall, if you look around, you’ll find better options in the same price range.

This Lynker Tent Tarp is supplied in a brown box which also contains two storage bags to keep the tarp and its fixings in. Inside is six tent pegs, six guy ropes and instructions. Although shown as a tent configuration this requires the ridge to be supported by ropes and there is no poles or rigid support at all.

The ropes with the tent and used to close the bag are made of reflective rope which is easier to find at night. The tarp is good quality and waterproof measuring 3m x 3.2m and with a heat reflective inner layer. As well as a cover or shade it can be used as a ground sheet which is my primary use.

While the quality is good, at nearly 30 this does feel a bit expensive without any poles or rigid support looking at alternatives on Amazon. However it does pack away well and seems to be well made so if you are looking for some portable protection from the elements this could be useful.

This is a good budget versatile camping tarp , great for fishing , wild camping , Bushcraft or for using as cover for a hammock.

I like the green colour , it will blend in very well in the woods or as a tarp tent on grass.

It’s 3000hh waterproof so it’s completely waterproof as a rain shelter , with it being 3×3 it’s really good cover for a hammock or you can use it for different tarp set ups , leen-to, A frame shelter , plough point shelter.

At just over 1kg it’s not the lightest tarp out there bit you get decent quality guy ropes and pegs , so you are all set to go , you just need a ridgeline or trekking poles to set it up.

The stitching and reinforced tie out points seem strong and well made , it’s currently available to purchase for 19.99 with the voucher , I think that is good value.

It’s a good budget option for a first tarp , it’s not the lightest but it’s big at 3x3m , it’s a nice natural colour and well made , for the price it is great.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
This tarp set-up offers decent value for money at the current price of 29.99 given that the tarp itself is well made and likely to last.
The edges and tie-downs are well stitched and reinforced, the supplied ropes and stakes are of useable quality, you might want to upgrade the rope to some paracord but what is supplied is good enough to go straight out of the pack.
The tarp is 3.2 x 3 metres which is useful and manageable unless there’s a strong wind in which case you really need two people.
Some sort of poles are necessary to get the most out of the set-up, walking poles would work but some collapsible tent poles are best.
Lightweight and not taking up much space, it’s a handy thing to have in the car for emergencies also.
(Do check the page for vouchers to save money, at the time of this review there a 10 off voucher but only valid for 24hrs.)

The size of this is great. It measures 3.2 metres x 3 metres and the material is a decent thickness and fully waterproof.

It’s extremely easy to set up out of the supplied storage bag. Six stakes and six ropes are attached that go firmly into the ground (with a bit of force and a little hammering). They hold in the ground really well and don’t allow the tarp to move too much in high winds.

I really like the natural looking green colour as it allows me to be camouflaged when camping.

This review is for the lynker Hammock Rain Fly Tent Tarp, 3m x 3.2m Camping Tent Tarp Shelter Waterproof, Lightweight Camping Tarpaulin with 6 Stakes, 6 Ropes & Storage Bag, Anti-UV Hammock Tarp for Outdoor Travel Yard

32.99 at the time of review.

This is a good quality and well finished tarp. The ropes look good as well and the separate bag for the rope and pins is handy too.

It is easy enough to set up if you have help, but I wouldn’t want to do this in a wind as it just flies about. The hardest part though is folding it back up to make it small enough to fit back into the bag it comes in.

One illustration show it suspended off the ground with the ridge holes being held up by the ropes (attached to trees). I don’t normally pitch a tent underneath tress as the water from them constantly drips on your tent, so suspending this tarp above my tent using trees isn’t likely to happen. I would also want to suspend it above my tent with a decent clearance, rather than resting it on the top of the tent which isn’t a great idea. Another illustration shows it opened at an angle to the ground with poles holding the top of the tarp up. You just can’t do that with the supplied items alone.

So what I think is missing from this setup is two poles, one for either end, that you could use to hold the ridge up when you don’t have handy things to tie the ridge ends to. Similarly, if I want to use it in the middle of the garden to shade me from the sun, how do I hold the ridge up?

The material and workmanship is excellent, but the illustrations are a little misleading as they make you think the ridge can be held up when it can’t. 4 stars for this tarp then and make sure you can use it the way you want to before committing to buy it.
