This is a really great docking station and does literally everything you could want. I do think it’s rather pricey but I can’t fault the design or quality. One thing I dislike (and I’ve noticed it’s common iwth most docking stations for the new Macs) is that, when plugged in, it takes up both USB-C ports on the side. But only has one USB-C port on the docking station. I actually have a great deal of equipment that uses C cables now so would prefer at least two…

Considering the scope and connections this adds to your Macbook without having to faff about with taking cables and drives in and out it makes a massive difference in terms of convenience as well as opening up your performance and output options and is especially good for use with creative programmes that required additional inputs etc. Works perfectly and is good value compared to many offering the same capabilities so would recommend as very pleased with it.

I have tested different Docking Station from this brand and they’ve always been brilliant.

But this particular one has been absolutely fantastic.
The speed of data transfer is amazing. All the ports works up and beyond my expectation which is absolutely amazing.
I am so pleased with the build, its solid and sturdy.
I have no regret in performance of this product.

Brilliant performance, well built and sturdy.

My review will not list the product details, measurements and features listed in the product description, but will cover the more practical aspect of the product usage.

This docking station is excellent and provides you with a lot of ports to connect various equipment to. This wide range of functionality is reflected in the price. My advice is that you go over what you need and purchase a docking station that can support these or else you will be paying for extra functionality you will not need.

Things I like in particular are: (1) the 12 ports (2) the docking station has a cable which is designed to connect to the two ports in your MacBook as opposed to various hubs that have the connectors attached directly to the port (3) you can connect your charger to the docking statio

This is the 3rd item have owned by the MOKiN brand, and all have been brilliant including this 12 port docking station. What I particularly like about this MOKiN, is that my MacBook Pro has an additional hard case, and many docking stations don’t fit due to the plastic case, however, this MOKiN one does, there are no issues with having to remove the case of my laptop.

I also like that this dock has the ability to charge whilst in use, a feature you don’t get with every docking station by other brands.

I’ve been using this for nearly a month now. I have to date tested the following ports, I have used the HDMI to connect to two LG 28″ monitors for dual display, a USB-C for my Jabra Headset, and the USB 2.0 for an external portable hard drive. All worked perfectly.

The quality of the design, and the finished product really is worth spending the money on. I therefore highly recommend this to you.

This is such a useful little addition to my home office that I am not sure how I managed without before now.

It offers 12 connections from this one device and has enabled me to be able to use so many more items simultaneously than I have previously been able to.

It seems a little expensive but when I consider that it has great build quality and is so easy to use from my MacBook Air and what it gives me, it’s actually a fair price. All the ports work fine, and it’s literally plug in and you’re ready to go. No messing around.

It’s so small and light you wouldn’t even know it’s there. I keep it with my MacBook and when I travel for work this is one of the first things that goes in my suitcase. I think that goes to show how important this is now to me!

This docker comes simply packed in a small box and foam bag. Installation is a doddle with the two gold plated USB-c ports. It fells quality and looks the part too when attached to your Macca Pacca. All the ports/readers/inputs including ethernet, USB and HDMI you could possibly need. You will probably struggle to use all of them unless your name is Sheldon Cooper but even if you do I’m pretty sure it will still work well.

I find it hard to think of anything more I might want from a hub. It sits on my desk with everything I need connected, including power, ready to be plugged into my MacBook. I have three HDDs and a printer on the USB ports, a display on an HDMI port, and Ethernet. I’ve tested both SD slots and they’re good too.

I use a short USB-C extension that enables me to put the hub and nest of cables at the back of my desk instead of next to my laptop, to keep my desk tidy. Well, tidier than it might be!

Charging is 5-10% slower via the hub than when I connect the charger directly to the Mac, but I can live with that. The only thing to consider, really, is whether the ports are conveniently positioned around the hub for your configuration, so that you can keep the cabling as neat as possible. Port layout varies quite a lot between docks.

This is well made and durable, as far as I can tell. It isn’t cheap, currently 60.99 less 10% voucher = 54.89, but that’s competitive for a dual-monitor dock offering 12-in-1 versatility.

If you read the description, you’ll see that it has just about every socket you could want – ethernet, DP, HDMI, USB, USB C, Power, Headphone, SD cards, etc… They all work. Better used at home unless you use a case for your laptop as it’s quite big. Good value and quite solid.

So pleased with this usb c MacBook docking station. We have a MacBook at work for general use. A number of us have a log in. We often need to add an external drive or projector or printer etc. Now we can without having to disconnect everything else. Excellent having more than one external machine attached is very useful. Arrived well packed works right out of the box. Good clear instructions. Very pleased.

I like my MacBook Pro but it is limiting with four usb-c ports and only a headphone jack.

This takes up two usb-c ports but in its place gives me one usb-c back, 4 USB3 ports, two HDMIa 4K screen connector, Ethernet, headphone point, and a mini sd card and full size scared reader.

Works seamlessly and seems faster than my previous docking station.

Come in the same aluminium and colour as the MacBook, which is nice.

Really does increase the usability of my MacBook Pro.

MacBook Docking Station from the MOKiN Store

This is for MacBooks only because the sockets are different, and so will be useless for anything other than a MacBook.

It has two slots, say USB3, very good for data transfer, and two USB2, suitable for connecting a keyboard or mouse.

It has two HDMI, which boasts 4k quality, and that sounds awesome – even if the quality lessens when two monitors are attached, it doesn’t matter because, as a millennial, the bar is low. It has a display port – for another computer monitor. It has an ethernet port to manually connect to the wifi – pretty valuable in my opinion as I can never trust the wifi signal. There’s a jack for audio/mic, card reader for big ones, and small ones. There’s a USB-C type port to charge the dock.

The spacing between the ports is just right even for chunky ports.

So, all ports seem to work smoothly. It’s convenient because it provides for almost all the connections you will need, except the cables, of course. The only disadvantage is if you don’t have enough space on your desk. You’ll have to put it on a table because the cord to the hub is short, and there are ports all around. Other than that, it’s sleek, transfers data efficiently, and charges my gadgets in no time.

Fast and efficient transfer of data

Designed for MacBook Pro 2016-2020, MacBook Air 2018-2020. No need any drivers or software, just plug and play. Convert your MacBook usb c port into 12 ports: 2x4K 60Hz hdmi, dp,gigabit ethernet network, 4xusb, sd/tf card reader, 100w pd and 3.5mm audio.

It’s a solid little docking station, which works as it should. A bit pricey, but it does everything you could want and works like a charm!

This is a sturdily built unit that is much smaller, and thus neater, than I had expected from the product information. Everything is economically set out in efficient format and the inclusion of an SD and micro SD card reader is extremely useful alongside the other options. The outer casing on the one I received was disappointingly scratched, but it is otherwise a well made and (hopefully) resilient unit that should last a long time.

I don’t know a lot about macbooks. I have an ipad and iphone but only a chrome book laptop.

My son uses his MacBook for his work and it gets a LOT of use as he runs three businesses.

This piece of kit is not big – about the size of a portable power bank for topping up your phone or tablet when out and about.

the gadget works with MacBook Pro/MacBook Air, but not with M1 Macbook -presumably that is an older model.

This gadget allows you to connect a variety of other tech gadgets to your macbook to upload or download or many things described in the product description.

My son tells me that it is a very useful piece of kit and is a good quality and easy to use.

    PAP = Plug and Play

My daughter is using this at university, she has a Macbook Air (with the M1 processor) in rose gold so not cosmetically matched but she doesn’t mind.

This might have 12 ports but it’s possible to buy others with more – this offers enough, however, for most needs. It looks and feels well-made and it should be; it’s not cheap. It does offer huge versatility.

Of first interest to me were the USB ports, and despite the generous options on this device, I can never have enough of them, it seems, This has 2 USB 3.0 ports providing 900mA output, and 2 extra USB 2.0 for (say) a keyboard and mouse. If this was mine, I’d actually be a bit frustrated because I need to connect two phones, 2 tablets, a bluetooth speaker and a desk lamp. Thankfully my daughter’s needs are lighter so this Mokin docking station suits her just fine.

These devices can never be perfect and we’ll always find a shortfall somewhere, but in fairness this is amazingly small and convenient for the flexibility and connectivity it offers.

    Rockin' Mokin - just PAP

A very handy addition for a series of MacBooks made more for those power users, who need to connect microSD, SD cards, Ethernet cable, USB type A and C, HDMI and many more.

It’s made well, sturdy, all ports are well made, data transfer speed is pretty decent as well, tested on USB A 3.0.
    Power delivery supported as well.
Unfortunately the cable came bent right from the box and I don’t know how long will it be still able to work with no issues.
4 stars only because of that cable.

MacBook Docking Station, MacBook Pro Dual HDMI Adapter USB C Hub , Thunderbolt 3

This hub works extremely well on the MacBook Pro Air. This is one of those hubs that I don’t want to disconnect, ever! It has everything I need built in, I’ve actually got this set up on the desk with all the external cables plugged in so that when I need to go in the office I just simply plug it in and all my external devices are immediately available as well as my 96W power supply!

This hub comes well presented in the minimalist amount of packaging, the product itself has a metal exterior, feels strong and sturdy, looks very good quality indeed. The connection cable has a thick outer sheath ensuring no damage will come to it, the connector plug is a solid bit of metal, well the casing is, it gives a firm connection into the MacBook. The cable length is about 20cm long and has good flexibility.

Moving around the hub, we have, on the left hand side, PD power port which I have a 96W power supply connected to charge up the Mac, a USB 2.0 port capable of handling 480Mbps which is suitable for keyboards or mice and two HDMI ports which can mirror or extend the display, one thing to note is that even though either of these HDMI ports can dish out 4K@60Hz, if you use both the HDMI ports simultaneously then the resolution will drop to 4K@30Hz. Again, this is depending on your actual machine if it will handle the extended and/or mirrored displays.

On the end of the hub is an ethernet port which can handle 10/100/1000Mbps, this works really well and offers a good stable internet connection which is useful in my case because my WiFi router isn’t the best thus have got ethernet connection in most of the rooms. Next to the ethernet port is the DP port, unusual to find on a hub to be honest, this can give you the possibility for 3 external displays when used in conjunction with the 2 x HDMI ports, I haven’t tested the DP port as I have no need for it.

On the right hand side are the SD/TF slots, I occasionally may use the SD card slot for transferring photos off my digital camera, especially when the WiFi is playing up and the camera is taking for ever to upload the photos, so this is a welcomed port. The final three ports are 2 x USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, I would’ve preferred all of these ports to be of the USB 3.0 standard, as such the USB 2.0 gives me limited data transfer of 480Mbps, therefore it’s just useful for using a keyboard or mouse, I’ve got a thermal printer permanently connected into this port. The USB 3.0 ports allow me to transfer data, especially from an external hard disk enclosure.

The much needed 3.5mm headphone jack sock is situated next to the cable in, this works fine offering stereo output.

So I basically have most ports in use at the same time, most definitely the PD port to power up the Mac, 2 external hard drives, the printer, ethernet cable and one HDMI port for the bigger monitor. It all works like clockwork, no issues whatsoever, speeds are as advertised, it may get warm but that’s to be expected.

To sum up, here are the ports available:

    2 X USB3.0 port, 1*USB2.0 Port
1 X SD Card Slot, 1*TF Card Slot,
    2 X 4K HDMI, 1*PD 100W charging
    1 X Gigabit Ethernet Port
    1 x DP port
    2 x USB 2.0 ports
    1 x Headphone socket

For the price of 57.99, you are getting quite a lot of connectivity, you can buy cheaper but with that may come slower speeds and connection issues, especially if like me, you like to use nearly all the ports, I have got a few cheaper hubs but they don’t perform well when all ports are in use.

    Very happy to recommend!

Plenty of connectivity from this hub - Very impressive!

Connected this to my laptop to screen and works perfectly without any issue.

When plugged in, I would recommend putting your computer on a flat surface since there would a risk of damaging the type C connector if you caught it on your lap. This is due to it only having one point of connection, which will mean this is a real risk.

So far I haven’t had any issues with a USB data stick.

I got this because of these quality controls: stable output, temperature protection, anti-over-current and anti-short-circuit; Certified by CE, FCC, RoHS

Overall, it is a small, portable and very useful device that has allowed me to connect a lot more to my MacBook.

This docking station seems pretty solid for the price, so far anyway. I much prefer the connector like this, where it plugs in via dual USB-C connections but then has a cable leading to the main unit.

I have found that other units, which directly connect to the MacBook with no adjoining cable, initially look tidier and more compact but prove more fiddly to use, and seem to lend themselves more to random bouts of disconnecting because they’re more likely to be jostled around as you move your laptop.

When you have the unit away from the connector like this, it makes it more convenient to use since you can lift the unit up and look at the connection when plugging stuff in, rather than getting your eyes down to the level of the table in order to sort things out.

The connections work well and seem stable. I haven’t yet had an issue with any disconnections, and I’ve tried all the connections apart from the HDMI since I don’t have any cables for that. The unit itself looks relatively smart and feels quite solid. I think it’s a plastic casing but it does look more or less like the brushed aluminium that Apple offer. My MacBook is a rose gold, so it doesn’t match. Can’t comment on how it would match other Apple laptop colours.

I would happily recommend this docking station based on my experience with it alongside my MacBook Air 2019.

This hub is amazing. It’s incredibly versatile and from a single connection on the MacBook, it provides a whole raft of connections in an instant. It’s truly multi purpose, there’s even an sad card reader incorporated along with USB ports, Ethernet connection and more.

It’s literally plug and play. There’s no complicated set up and from the single unit, you can charge or use other devices whilst using the MacBook.p and data transfer is fast with no hiccups. The card reader is brilliant and the overall build quality of the hub is excellent. An excellent investment and made to perform and last.
