It is actually a very clever little toy and we have all enjoyed.
My daughters only negative response “i wish it was black and Purple so it looked more like a real cauldron and a real wand thats like wooden looking”

You need to charge before use and we didn’t knew. It takes too much to full charge. But is amazing, I highly recommend and my kiddos enjoyed so much!
Bought for 4 y.o. for Xmas. Really magical and even leaves the grownups scratching their heads!
Very easy and simple to do. Make sure you charge it for 60-90 minutes before use and that it is on create mode. My daughter’s loved putting in the ingredients.
So follow the instructions and bam a mist of smoke appears and then this thing appears in the pot. And you can do it again and again as they have refils available or you can just do it with water. Anyway we did it 3 times the firat day coz we was having fun with it. You get a box aswell so you can put your own bits in it and do the spell to reveal your box instead of the fluffy toy thing. Anyway give it ago.
So expensive only to be used once and that’s the fun all over. Unless you pay 25 for refill its of no use after the the pixie is out. Would not recommend

This made such a great Christmas present for my daughter.
Although some of it was a little repetitive it kept to adults and a child in suspense until the end. We have played so much with this and bought many add ons for it as well. Fantastic!
My neice absolutely loved this and demanded to re do it about 15 times till the battery died (should note it was fully charged before hand BUT the magic mist was still going strong!)
It was ok. Instructions aren’t great but it did work my 7 year old was very happy so that’s all that matters. Needs to be cheaper for what you actually get. But I guess worth the smile on the kids face
Did as a previous reviewer said and charged it straight away before starting it. Easy instructions, great step-by-step fun, the mist had a fragrance but wasn’t terrible and no fire alarms went off. Mixie popped out as it should and I had one very happy and excited 7 year old! Cleaned the cauldron out easily too so can reuse it again. Great fun!
Good for leaning science and mixing different liquids. Fun and interactive.
We got our kids this for Christmas and bought it well in advance, I think we paid about 45 for this which I think is just about acceptable but I think 60+ is probably more than its worth.
Saying that I’ve no hesitation in recommending this but with a few caveats.
So you get about 5 mists out of it from the box plus a refill vial that will do a few more. However the ingredient is vegetable glycerin which is cheap and readily available. We just kept hold of the vial and you are able to pop the top off with a fingernail which allows you to refill the vial and in turn refill the magic mixies. This means for an additional 2 or 3 you can do around 50 mist spells.
We make an occasion of it and ask the girls what they want then pick ingredients from the garden and kitchen to use in the cauldron. We use things like bath salts, bath bombs, crackling crystals, food colouring then put a surprise in the included box. Just normally things like sweets or chocolate.
When the cauldron does its thing and reveals the sweets the girls are so excited with it.
Our girls are 3 and 5 and obviously very imaginative. We do the couldron maybe once a week and I imagine they’ll still be asking to do spells in a couple of years from now.
We all had fun Christmas Day with this! It’s great that it can be reused (without the little toy) to make potions, it did leak bright pink water at the end but it didn’t ruin our fun!
My grandchild loved it. It was magical the first time but only enough ingredients for 2 tries. A refill pack has to be bought and given at the same time.

Even following the video this was tricky to use. Recipient very excited by process but toy was stuck inside and had to be dragged out! Not great value for money as only a one off process. However, recipient really enjoyed it .

A tad pricey for my liking but it made my daughters face light up when she unwrapped it. She had great fun following the Spells and loves playing with it still. A good sturdy well made toy.
Truly magical watching my granddaughter (6yrs) helped by my daughter, doing the spell, the lights, the music and wow the mist. I have to say we didn’t find a volume control. I think that’s because we were so engrossed and excited making the spell. It is really worth taking the time to do each step slowly and see the wonder in your child’s face. I bought further spells, would be nice to be able to get other little toys for the complete magic. So awesome that her other Grandma is going to buy it for another granddaughter.

Our 7 yo daughter absolutely loves this. The first time she used it was so magical and she has used it again so many times to show friends and family. The mist is still working from Christmas day so we’ve not had to use the extra bottle yet, and if your child uses their imagination can have hours of fun playing with it.

Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She’s nearly five. She got very involved in the preparations and nearly burst with excitement with the big reveal! The little toy is cute and lovable – a great success!
The magic mixes was better than I thought it was going to be and it was great to see my granddaughter’s face light up while she was using it.
The mist fluid is a pretty standard item you’ll find in most commercial fog machines (although this one is vegetable based). When used CORRECTLY there is no smell and the mist is just that, MIST. It isn’t smoke and therefore DOES NOT set off amoke alarms. There are very clear warnings that using the WRONG SIDE (i.e. by not resetting the inside of the cauldron) you may indeed cause problems, but that’s because you’re literally pouring water into a speaker!! This is probably the best value ‘reveal’ toy I have ever purchased, and has kept my 9yo and her friends entertained for days now.

2. You can use the gem case supplied to make other toys and belongings ‘appear’.
You can use it with just water by switching the ‘spell’ mode (it won’t flip over or produce mist)

5. AND you can play with the plush separately.

In a nutshell it’s great as a gift and fun to play with , This set gives you all the ingredients to use once . The smoke will work 20 times afterwords and there is a small amount of refill given for 20 more smokes . The refill packs sold are 10 but again give you two full spells and a further 20 mists / smoke in a vial . I’m planning to make small bath bombs to use as ingredients and dissolvable paper charms also. I did some research and the smoke / mist liquid is just vegetable glycerin which is sold on Amazon for 5-10 for a lifetimes worth of smoke . It’s the same liquids used in smoke machines for clubs and artists etc. A great toy but you need to be savvy with the refills to keep the spell magic going.

My daughter wanted this and to say it’s impressive is an understatement they have played with it all day every day since receiving it, it takes a while to charge but apart from that it’s amazing when they make their toy it mists and steams and is so interactive a must have for any little witch

It lit up when it was meant to, made the music and noises when it was meant to, loads of smoke came out of it and the magic mixie arrived by magic it was brilliant. We enjoyed it so much I’m buying another one for her magic mixie to have a friend
I think this is a great toy! It is expensive and probably should be around the 45- 50 mark but my daughter and niece are fascinated by it! The best magic is the first time you see it, the same with all magic acts! But it isnt a one time toy. You can purchase refill positions and you can create the mist and spells as many times as you want- just read the instructions!! Obivoisly it only produces the mixie toy once! But it comes with a little box that you can put your own things in to magically make appear for friends and family as well! Also the mixie toy it creates does spells with the wand and has feelings and you to keep it happy/keep its energy up!
People with negative reviews are either just being negative, havent read the instructions or just simply dont have an imagination. The kids love it and thats what it’s all about.

The magic mist – there is a lot of it and yes it does smell but it lasts a couple minutes and it’s perfectly safe. It’s the same as used in any stage production and pantomimes! A toy manufacturer isnt going to release a toy that’s harmful baring in mind it has to go through numerous quality checks!

Purchased for 7 year old girl for Christmas. My daughter had seen this on YouTube and asked for it. I told her they’re only in America, so she will be thrilled on Christmas Day. Can’t properly review. Watched YouTube and looks quite good. Similar to a hatchimal but you can reset it and redo the ‘magic’ if you purchase extra packs. When she said it smokes I thought it would just be the magic of marketing but it really does. Looking forward to doing it with her.
