Great for kids
Very easy and simple to do. Make sure you charge it for 60-90 minutes before use and that it is on create mode. My daughter’s loved putting in the ingredients.
It’s was fun to use and the children loved it but it’s very expensive and even more so because you only have one go and we can not find any where that sells another toy to match the original, you get two sets off chemicals and can buy more. You could buy a toy from anywhere but it would be nice to get matching ones because it is a very nice toy
Ok now im a 40yo man and i enjoyed this as much as the kid did. Ive just read that bit back and i might need professional help.
So follow the instructions and bam a mist of smoke appears and then this thing appears in the pot. And you can do it again and again as they have refils available or you can just do it with water. Anyway we did it 3 times the firat day coz we was having fun with it. You get a box aswell so you can put your own bits in it and do the spell to reveal your box instead of the fluffy toy thing. Anyway give it ago.

So expensive only to be used once and that’s the fun all over. Unless you pay 25 for refill its of no use after the the pixie is out. Would not recommend
Purchased for my 6 year old.. we love it.. please watch videos on YouTube how to use this.. it took some time to get it going. It says not to charge it up as it’s charged. My advice is charge it up for a hour..

This made such a great Christmas present for my daughter.
Although some of it was a little repetitive it kept to adults and a child in suspense until the end. We have played so much with this and bought many add ons for it as well. Fantastic!

My neice absolutely loved this and demanded to re do it about 15 times till the battery died (should note it was fully charged before hand BUT the magic mist was still going strong!)

It was ok. Instructions aren’t great but it did work my 7 year old was very happy so that’s all that matters. Needs to be cheaper for what you actually get. But I guess worth the smile on the kids face
Read some reviews before purchasing and was a bit skeptical but my daughter had saved up money to get one so we went ahead.
Did as a previous reviewer said and charged it straight away before starting it. Easy instructions, great step-by-step fun, the mist had a fragrance but wasn’t terrible and no fire alarms went off. Mixie popped out as it should and I had one very happy and excited 7 year old! Cleaned the cauldron out easily too so can reuse it again. Great fun!

We got our kids this for Christmas and bought it well in advance, I think we paid about 45 for this which I think is just about acceptable but I think 60+ is probably more than its worth.
Saying that I’ve no hesitation in recommending this but with a few caveats.
So you get about 5 mists out of it from the box plus a refill vial that will do a few more. However the ingredient is vegetable glycerin which is cheap and readily available. We just kept hold of the vial and you are able to pop the top off with a fingernail which allows you to refill the vial and in turn refill the magic mixies. This means for an additional 2 or 3 you can do around 50 mist spells.
We make an occasion of it and ask the girls what they want then pick ingredients from the garden and kitchen to use in the cauldron. We use things like bath salts, bath bombs, crackling crystals, food colouring then put a surprise in the included box. Just normally things like sweets or chocolate.
When the cauldron does its thing and reveals the sweets the girls are so excited with it.
Our girls are 3 and 5 and obviously very imaginative. We do the couldron maybe once a week and I imagine they’ll still be asking to do spells in a couple of years from now.

We all had fun Christmas Day with this! It’s great that it can be reused (without the little toy) to make potions, it did leak bright pink water at the end but it didn’t ruin our fun!
Include refill pack.
My grandchild loved it. It was magical the first time but only enough ingredients for 2 tries. A refill pack has to be bought and given at the same time.

Better than expected
The magic mixes was better than I thought it was going to be and it was great to see my granddaughter’s face light up while she was using it.
I have no odea what some of these reviews are going on about – obviously didn’t read the instructions or have poorly supervised children whilst using the toy.
The mist fluid is a pretty standard item you’ll find in most commercial fog machines (although this one is vegetable based). When used CORRECTLY there is no smell and the mist is just that, MIST. It isn’t smoke and therefore DOES NOT set off amoke alarms. There are very clear warnings that using the WRONG SIDE (i.e. by not resetting the inside of the cauldron) you may indeed cause problems, but that’s because you’re literally pouring water into a speaker!! This is probably the best value ‘reveal’ toy I have ever purchased, and has kept my 9yo and her friends entertained for days now.
1.You can put your Mixie plushie back into the compartment,
2. You can use the gem case supplied to make other toys and belongings ‘appear’.
You can use it with just water by switching the ‘spell’ mode (it won’t flip over or produce mist)
4. You can buy spell packs and mist refills (a spell is a single use, 2 in the refill box) and mist refills are about 5 ‘creation’ spells (where the bottom flips and you can make something appear).
5. AND you can play with the plush separately.
The cauldron comes loaded with the mist fluid, plus an extra bottle, and refill packs have another bottle inside. In terms of reuse value this toy is fantastic, and the refills are reasonably priced. Brilliant!

My daughter wanted this and to say it’s impressive is an understatement they have played with it all day every day since receiving it, it takes a while to charge but apart from that it’s amazing when they make their toy it mists and steams and is so interactive a must have for any little witch

It lit up when it was meant to, made the music and noises when it was meant to, loads of smoke came out of it and the magic mixie arrived by magic it was brilliant. Can’t properly review. Watched YouTube and looks quite good. Similar to a hatchimal but you can reset it and redo the ‘magic’ if you purchase extra packs. When she said it smokes I thought it would just be the magic of marketing but it really does. Looking forward to doing it with her.

Edit: we gifted this eary due to granddaughter having to isolate and missing an event she had been looking forward to most of the year, so I can now give an updated USER review!
Firstly follow instructions
! Really, follow the steps and charge for an hour before use too. I can’t emphasise this enough. Our granddaughter was able to follow each step easily, she was so excited, when the mixie popped up at the end she did get a bit of a shock but loved it. The whole process went as it should do and as claimed. Mixie itself is cute, slightly annoying a Furby kind of way. We experienced no dye or leakage. From other reviews, whether verified purchase or not many have claimed it to be a one trick pony, well not in our case, I suppose it depends on the child. Granddaughter is having a lot of fun with this, she’s done as I thought she would and cleverly found items that can be hidden in the compartment where the mixie goes and revealed them (house keys, notes etc). She’s used her imagination to create her own spells adding different items to the pot, it really depends on your child’s imagination if this is a one trick pony, for us it’s not a throw away item. And of course you’ve got the mixie itself, it interacts with the wand and is possible. The option is there to purchase more refills, not necessarily needed as it can be played with with out them. Really pleased with it
Original review:I can’t really comment on if this toy works as we’ve popped it away for the December holidays ( you know what I mean) but I’ve seen a few YouTube videos on it to know how it works and that our magic loving granddaughter will love it and use it again and again, unlike other suprise or animatronic toys that end up at the bottom of the toy box you can use this again and again and extra pack is also available which we easily bought for 9.99. But I believe you can use it again and again without the magic mist packs, it would just be a surprise reveal, through a trap door compartment I guess, leading to the ability to magic up other small items that would fit in, again only a guess I’ve we’ve not used it yet. Do remember to charge it with the cable provided for an hour before use. I don’t normally buy into the hype of the hottest toy of the year, but I believe this has quite a lot of play value, and when your young a little bit of magic is a wonderful thing.
