This was my first purchase of a smart light bulb. I love being able to voice control my lighting and confusing the neighbours when they see my bedroom light scrolling though the colours, lol. However I wouldn’t call it ‘easy’ to set up. The main problem being that the lighbulb only works on 2.4ghz WiFi and must home run 5ghz.the simpliest way I found to get round this (and the Internet provides lots of solutions) is to go into your router settings and rename the 2.4ghz band a different thing. By default the 2.4 and the 5 will be called the same thing, which allows home devices to switch to whichever one is performing the best at the time. But not great for if you’ve got a device that needs setting up on the 2.4ghz band first! So when you set up the lighbulb you now have a clearly labelled 2.4ghz to connect to. Just beware though that this may mean you reconnecting some of the devices you have that are further away from of router, as they likely would have been using 2.4ghz and its now been renamed. Any hoo, sounds like a faff, but it’s pretty simple to do, just took me a while to find that solution in the first place!

Very easy to setup, the app is very convenient and easy to use as well. You can change the colours and brightness of the light to ones that you prefer. Works really well and would recommend to anyone looking for a smart light bulb.

The coinciding app needed to control the bulb was also easy to use and install especially for those who are not so tech savvy. The colors are beautiful and makes my bedroom look amazing. I previously received another brand of lightbulb from amazon, but i was disappointed to find out it had no voice control functionality and only worked with a small (easily lost) controller. This lightbulb works with your phone (which im sure is always within arms reach) and with just your voice! There is nothing bad to say about this lightbulb, it can do everything any other lightbulb can do and at a cheaper price!
Some people can suffer with sensory overstimulation, which irritates and sends those with anxiety reeling. This colour changing bulb is perfect for easing those moods and providing a controlled and safe mental environment. Thank you.
Arrived quickly as promised
Took a couple of attempts to set the product up on my son’s bedroom but once done was very easy to use.
He has an app on his phone which allows him to see the colour and brightness of the bulb. The bulb is much brighter than the one it replaced.
It also integrates with our Google home so we can ask it to turn on and off and change the colours.

My eldest wanted a gaming room, he has the LED strip light on his TV and also wanted them around his room but our experience with the strips is that eventually they loose their stickiness and fall down. My sister recommended these bulbs and I am happy I purchased it! The bulb does the same job as the strips and my son now has the effect in his room which he wanted. He loves that you can customise your colour scheme and control everything from your phone. We both have the app, so if he falls asleep with the light on I can turn it off without going in the room. I now need to buy another one for his brother’s room! Lol

I bought this for my bedroom as I wanted something a bit different and easy to use. This is great, I control using either through my phone or by voice command using Google and I’ve had no issues with it.
Well, im using this device with Google Assistant really but i think u can extrapolate. The brightness is pretty much what u can expect of a lamp but the deal for me is really the integration, easy to install and the lamp really stay faithfull to the colors u pick.

Loving this product, controlling with mobile is super easy. Perfect for my gaming space, sets nice ambient light.
Clear instructions on paper took me about 3 mins to get it up and running the light is bright no problems there you can also dim it to your liking with all the colours so party or reading a book it suits all my needs. First day so far it’s great will update in future if I see a problem.
Despite the initial hiccup with installing the bulb, I am very very pleased with it.

Initially frustrated with it not connecting to my Vodafone home WiFi.. but downloaded the home broadband app, split my WiFi bands.. Sorted! Was easy, even for a not overly techy person.. whilst being judged by my 13 year old son! Lol
I have 3 lights on one switch in my kitchen Diner, Instead of getting an electrician to change the wiring. These are a lot cheaper and now I can choose out of the 3 lights which I have on at what ambience
After moving a tall cupboard to a new position we found that it covered a light switch. By leaving the switch on and fitting this bulb, we were able to control the light using Alexa. The ability to change colours is a bonus!

Such an easy bulb to install! Literally just screw it in. The brightness is great and you can choose how bright you want the bulb to be with each colour. I have a Google Home and the bulb was so easy to set up with the speaker.
Initially, I had some teething issues with it not wanting to connect on a BT Smart Hub 2. I found out that you need to go into your hub settings and disable the 5ghz mode and change the Wireless Mode to “Mode 3”. This allows it to connect. Once you have managed to get it to connect and had a play with the different lighting options, you can safely revert back to 5ghz and Wireless Mode “Mode 1” and it should keep on working.
Hope this helps those that couldn’t get it to work on a BT Hub.

Nice bright bulbs too. Very convenient when the young ones keep leaving lights on, i now have control without having to run around after them.
This is my first smart bulb and as a novice, it was so easy to connect. Turned the light on and off several times and the app automatically connected the device. I connected it via WiFi and once connected to the hub app, it adds to the Alexa app. If you can’t be bothered to talk to Alexa you can use the hub app like a remote to change all the settings, I have the scene on so that the bulb transitions like a disco through all the lights. Now when I say Alexa turn on lights, it’s the automatic setting. However if you say Alexa make the light blue, it is capable of doing all theses commands. This will be the first of many smart bulbs I get.
I love it as do my kids. I installed in my bedroom as I suffer with frequent headaches and migraines. Being able to choose a colour and brightness that dosent make me feel worse is a massive help. I’m lucky in the sense light dosent massively effect me. This light has so many choices of shades and colours. Control the brightness of the light. Definitely recommend for anyone’s children who are afraid of the dark. Can be used with alexa although I’ve not used that feature yet but could imagine it would be helpful at bedtimes.
Had a few issues linking to Smart life but it worked eventually and I think that this is a great alternative to buying dedicated alexa smart bulbs. The brightness is great and it is very responsive. Great product.
Easy to set up, works great with Alexa and did the exact job that was described on the box! Overall a great product for the price in comparison to others Iv seen advertised!
The bulb was quite difficult to connect to our broadband at the beginning. Not being very technically minded I thought it was just a job of connecting the bulb and asking Alexa to find it. Not the fault of the bulb but could be easier to connect. It only works on the 2.4GHz broadband wave length (apparently), took me some time to find out how I changed the settings on my BT hub to allow the bulb to connect properly. Other than that, my son seems very pleased. Alot cheaper than other branded models from well known suppliers. How long will it last? Will have to wait and see.
Have previously purchased these and bought more because they work so well. They are really easy to connect to Google Home so now almost my whole house uses these bulbs. The colour range is great. Can’t fault them.

Best value for Money, took me less than 5 mins to setup and connect to Google Home. You need to set router to 2.5Hz which is key for the connection. The colors are brighter and easier to change in the google home app.
I bought this one for my kids bedroom to add some fun for them with multiple colours and brightness adjustment options, all of which I can control using my phone without having to be physically present in that room. The setup took some time for us as our router settings had to be adjusted for the bulb to work, but once it was done it was a breeze! The bulb reacts quick to the changes without any issues and also works well with Alexa, which my kids use to turn on/off the bulb. Overall, I am happy with this smart purchase as it eased my life and has worked well so far!
I love this light bulb it’s great for the kids to get them asleep and it’s great that I can connect it to alexa and can turn off not being in the room I like that I can set it to turn on and wake us up in the morning fab item would definitely recommend it to family and friends
I bought this light for my bedroom. It came very soon. It is very easy to set up and the different colour make you feel comfortable, above all if you are watching a movie or just reading a book.I think it does what expected and at that price,it definitely worth the money

I was really surprised at how awesome this product is especially for what you’re paying. It’s not too expensive at all but does do what you would expect a much pricier product to do. The bulb is bright but not too much. It works lovely and the ambient lights you can have with the use of the app make this product a must have for any smart home enthusiast.
You do need to install the app on your phone in order control the light but it’s very simple and does not take up too much space on your phone. It’s also imperative to ensure that your WiFi connection connects at a 2.4GHz frequency in order for the bulb to work and connect to your phone. This is simply achieved by switching your router on and off whilst connecting the smart bulb to the app.
I personally love the fact that I can control the light bulb in another room and dim or change the colour of the light without actually having to be in the room. It’s clever and fun as well as convenient, especially since I have a newborn baby and sometimes it’s nice not having to physically walk in the room to switch lights on and off.
The app can be downloaded on both android and iOS devices as I have tried both on my Apple phone and my husband’s Samsung.
It’s a fantastic bit of tech if you want the smart home experience. Definitely recommend.
Spending time with the majority of smart home products, especially when it comes to one of the first smart home products – the simple light bulb.
However, this bulb is far above simple.
Being able to simply connect via WiFi, controlling both brightness and colour…. but also being able to set schedules and even turn it on remotely makes this bulb extremely smart
So one of the main things I look for is more than just colour, connection and scheduling. I need more of the “smart” from it. Being able to connect to ifttt and other home control apps and services has allowed me to make this fit into my home much easier. But also much cheaper than the alternatives on the market.
Great all round bulb for the price.
Only negative would be that it could be a little brighter or an alternative higher rated bulb to be on offer from the same make
A super bright LED bulb that is highly functional with a range of features. Set up is straightforward but you must ensure your router is set at 2.4ghz in order for it to work. Many are automatically set to 5ghz.
Absolutely brilliant. The instructions don’t seem to be up to date but abit of perseverance and guess work got it sorted. Very easy to connect to google through. Can change colours and brightness etc by an app or by google. Highly recommend
Took me about an hour and a half to troubleshoot set up. My wifi was a single dual 5gzh and 2.4ghz connection but the lights REALLY don’t like that. I had to seperate the dual channel into a dedicated 2.4 and it was seemless once done.
The kids are absolutely chuffed with them once hooked up to their alexas. Very bright and crisp light. Work really well and tempted to kit the rest of the house out.
Very easy to install, just flick your light switch on and off a few times and it pairs with your wifi. The app is awesome as well, you can pre set color/brightness functions and name them. Then all u need to do is click on the button and your desired settings are applied. Overall very happy
I am so happy with this product. OMG it has created new life in my room with all these colours. Installation is easy if you have little bit understanding of these gadgets. Make sure your router is on 2.4Ghz and not on 5G. As it will not connect with 5G. Good that it came with this special instruction otheowse I would have been struggling to connect it with the Internet till now. Once connected you are good to go. The app is very smart and easy to connect with my Google home. In short 5stars product.
Got this bulb to add to an already extensive smart home setup. Firstly the manual has a QR code to take you to exactly the right place for correct download – always appreciated! Secondly, it just so happened this bulb uses smart life app which is the same as my tv strip lights use so I didn’t have to register for another app. Upon inserting the bulb and turning it on, it went automatically in pairing mode (although if you don’t have this or use it in time there are standard on/off combination instructions for putting it back in this mode) and my iPhone found it instantly. Paired and set as Bedroom Lamp.
Opened the Alexa app and it added first ‘discover’ and worked seamlessly.
Took about 3min total and very easy to do.
Great product, very easy to set up. You set the bulbs up with an app called smart life and also easy to set up with Alexa. I brought this smart light for my bedroom and I would recommend setting these up through AP mode as that’s what I did and it seemed to work that way! I have been using these lights for weeks now and I cannot fault it. You can change the brightness on the app, changed the colour and you can also have it multicoloured like a disco which is pretty awesome and last but not least you can also set a schedule for you lights to turn on/off which is also awesome!
I ordered 2 of these bulbs to start my home smart lighting and I did not want to start with a hub which is what Philips Hue uses, I used amazon Alexa as my control hub and the bulbs work perfectly,The set up was easy and with out problems and would recommend this product to anyone regardless which control system they use either Alexa or Google.
This is an amazing bit of kit , who has ever heard of smart lightbulbs – not me anyway. What I need at present is a smart haircut, in my dreams !
I wouldn’t have a clue how to set this thing up and it even took my daughter about 20 minutes to work it out, however she succeeded and now has a room flooded in coloured lighting of her choice all controlled ( obvs ! ) from her smart phone and Alexa thingy .

Works with Google home, has a range of different colours. Not to the same standard as a Philips hue bulb but for the price it’s good enough as a bulb to supplement your philips hue setup. Can be activated via the app or with voice command and voice commands can change the colour aswell. Happy with purchase.
Exactly as expected its a smart bulb and is great however getting it set up was slightly difficult failing three times before working suddenly without any change although it has been fine since so your mileage may vary
I really love this device as its easy to install and great value for money. it has an app that is easy to use with a huge library of colours. the device it self is amazing however the app did have some limitations, for instance there isn’t a slow rainbow effect that goes through all the colours with a smooth transition and if your an apple user its going to be very hard to use voice commands and you will have to set up each one, individually like changing the colour to red as you cant add it to apple the Homekit app but for android phones you can easily add it to Google Home and control it through there. overall this device is amazing and i haven’t seen any problems within the 4 weeks i have been using it.

The bulbs themselves I have no complaint about but the app is not easy to use and also lacks helpful features.
Want to automate a sunrise or sunset? This feature doesn’t come as a standard option and you have to spend time manually automating it as there is no fade up or down over time feature.
A bit of a faff to set up as have to disable 5ghz range on WiFi (just while you set up the bulbs you can re-enable it once they are set up) as they only use 2.4ghz range but once set up work perfectly, I have 5 of these and will now get some more – all 5 bulbs cost less than one Phillips hue build so happy with the saving there. A note for new buyers in case they are not aware – once fitted you have to leave the light switch in the ON position and the build is turned on and off via the app or Alexa, if you turn the switch off it confuses the Alexa and you have to turn the switch back on and tell Alexa to turn the bulb on – off – on until they get back in sync, this is only needed if like me out of habit you flick the light switch, once I get more used to them then hopefully I won’t keep making this mistake.
Really good bulb, very easy to set up with the smart life app, as are my other smart plug sockets, the app stores all your home WiFi info, searches for and adds new devices, and it’s done, all different devices connected. No problem at all, used all my bulbs features, but mostly scheduling and asking Alexa to turn it off and on, and so far works flawlessly, will add some more bulbs soon to add to my 2 smart plugs, and a smart bulb.
These are LED, which means they do not get hot and are the most efficient bulbs you could run. The packaging estimates they will last over 20 years.
I have a box full of energy saving light bulbs, apparently I don’t need any of them now!
Do not spend more money on expensive products. This is easily better than hue, tplink bulbs especially for the price.
I link mine to ifttt and Alexa routines so that certain things happen when I arrive at home or even when my washing machine finishes.

Very happy with them. Limited enough scenes and the dimming/colour changing is not smooth but jumpy. Very easy to set up and get working with alexa though.
I was almost put off by some of the reviews for this bulb but it turned out to be exactly what we wanted.
We wanted a smart bulb to work with Alexa on an echo dot. It took a few minutes to work through the setup steps but once that was done I never had to touch the settings again, even if the light was left off at the switch for long periods. There are no problems with WiFi connectivity and it is not close to the router.
Now the light can be controlled by voice commands such as:
– Alexa light on
– Alexa make the light 50% brightness
– Alexa make the light blue
What a fantastic product this Led wifi bulb is. Setting up really easy on my Bt smart hub 2 using AP mode, and downloaded app then linked with alexa. I have set up a couple of routines to switch on and off when I am away which is also really simple. Colours and brightness is also very good, wish I bought one years ago. I am definitely purchasing more from amazon as they are much cheaper than the high street, buy some, you wont be disappointed.

Product does exactly as ot describes, Control the bulb from either the app or in my case eco dot. Very fast and easy to set up and pair device. More colour options within the app itself as opposed to using the dot options. Very low energy consumtion which is what i worried about with having to leave the switch on

Easy instructions to install and the app is childs play. Did take me two attempts to get it to work with my alexa but only took 5 minutes. Just read the instruction step by step instead of being too clever to read them properly…… have two of these now and so much better than the one I got from another well known shop for more than double the price. Looks like a normal bulb.
Can operate like the colour of your normal bulb, white or warm, but the nice thing is that you can control the brightness so you can dim the brightness to suit you, or you can choose one of the 8 preset scenes, some with static colour others with interactive flashing colours or or you can choose any colour you like with a touch of your finger from within the app.
I haven’t got Alexa but it works fine with my Google home mini and also from my Android phone with the Google assistant.
Everything seems ok so far, the product is fine so more than likely I will order more for other rooms of my house too, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
There is an issue like sometimes the bulb disconnect automatically from the device and start blinking for new connection setup

Like all Smart Life products, once you have the app registered, it’s just a quick case of linking anything new, works well with Alexa as well, just name ii something simple, as Alexa is rather fussy if you don’t ask the right way.

Bought 4 of these bulbs, decent quality, bright and vibrant. Very easy to install via smart life app, then ask alexa or Google to discover devices. 7watts output same as 60w normal bulb.
Goes from warm white, daylight white, cool white, then you have the rbg colour ring in the app to control colour, brightness, vibrancy.

These did not disappoint…..easy to install. Kids love having control and so do I as I can now turn off their lights when they forget to.

To be fair I’ve not really made much of an effort with the Alexa set up.
Installed one behind my smart TV to act as mood lighting, controlled through Alexa – ‘Alexa, movie night – smart bulb turns on blue, other lights go off. Simple to set up, easy to use through the phone app or Alexa. Good amount of light at most colours to light up my stairs or to use as mood lighting. Fully selectable colours and brightness through the phone all or Alexa. Cant find a cycle mode tho, prob isn’t one built in.

The white light is very bright and great for intricate work while the ‘warm’ light is a little artificial but still does a good job giving that good old tungsten feel.

It doesn’t work. I have spent an hour trying to pair over Wifi on 2.4ghz network and it refuses to connect.
Edit: I managed to connect using Bluetooth and it works well. Sometime there’s lag and but overall the light works well and it’s quite handy to be able to change between studying/working bright white colour to relaxing warm yellow colou
I bought this as a novelty outside light for Halloween so really wasn’t expecting much.
But I can honestly say it’s brilliant and I’ll be buying more of these to go internally.
Easy to setup and the app to change the light colour works brilliantly.

Easy to set up, just follow instructions
Had to use method 2 for set up which is WiFi direct.
If you have dual band WiFi, turn off the 5GHz network for set up. Turn it back on after set up.
Easily connects to Alexa and Google home for voice commands, app is good too as it has a lot of customisable settings etc
Love the item. Took a little time to set up through the WiFi. It runs on 2.4ghz so you may need to change router options so you can connect but once it’s up and running it’s so handy. Plus this kids love it defo worth the money but make sure your on 2.4ghz or have someone who can change your router.
After being disappointed by another set of RGB smart bulbs and how poorly their RGB settings lit up a surrounding room, I did more research this time and decided to test my luck with one of these bulbs.
Put plainly, I was not disappointed. Unlike the other bulbs I bought, this one was very capable of lighting up an entire room no matter what colour setting I chose. It did a far better job of setting a nice colourful atmosphere in my living room no matter where I placed it.
Very pleased with this purchase. The instructions manual definitely had a hint of a language-barrier, but it was nowhere near as unreadable as some of the other things I’ve bought on Amazon. I’ll be purchasing more of this model of bulb for sure.
Attached are a few screenshots of the bulb without a lampshade, sitting in the middle of my living room. As you can see, all light options were able to light the room up adequately, no matter how saturated those colours were.
I love these bulbs. These bulbs are a great addition to my bedroom, These bulbs are very easy to use as well. just pair them up with your phone using the APP. then it can be controlled using the phone. the lights can be switched on and off with the phone. I recommend using a lamp that also has a lamp shade since it will have a nicer and softer look & effect. The pack of 2 are very good value for money.
Doesn’t connect, I’ve scanned via Bluetooth for about 10 times, didn’t work, connecting to WiFi, didn’t work, went ahead to change WiFi channels, didn’t connect.
Edit: I managed to get it working, by opening the door to my utility cupboard where the router is. So I guess it takes strong WiFi connection for it to work.
I’m so happy to purchase them. Great budget option of a bulb if you want to add a nice colour accent to your room or office. Easy to install, works great with amazon alexa. I love that you can adjust the color temperature of the light when it is set to white light. It ranges from soft white to daylight white and allows for very fine adjustments. these lights are multi coloured as well . different colours can be chosen as well. “
I bought this for my sons room to go with his alexa he got for his birthday. Although it is one of the cheaper bulbs on the market if is just as good and easy to programme as the more expensive ones we have in other rooms in the house that does exactly the same job
You have different setting options once you’re up and running from a colour wheel option and white settings, along with different preset ‘scenes’, and you can also create your own. You can also rename each bulb – for me I just gave them room labels. You can also adjust brightness/saturation in the settings, and also switch the lights on or off either manually or by setting a schedule.
You’re also able to connect to either Alexa or Google home without a hub – mine is currently bound to my Echo dot – even more convenience!
To be blunt, I don’t think I have a bad thing to say about them, and only one caveat – they only connect to 2.4Ghz WiFi, so if you’re set on using 5 you may have to rethink things… But other than that, they are awesome, and so simple to use that my toddler has already figured them out..
