The DHR202Z SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer is capable of drilling through steel, wood and masonry with ease. 3 mode operation, rotation only, hammering with rotation and hammering only. With the built in torque limiter, clutch disengages the motor should a bit bind.
Battery protection circuit protects against overloading, over discharging and over heating. Rubber joint construction suppresses transmission of vibration to battery, minimising battery failures due to terminal breakage or poor electrical contact.

Great tool. Wish I had it sooner. It saves all the time and agro of getting power cables up a scaffold to drill one hole into masonry. Must have tool.
Not as powerful as I had hoped, but it has done all I’ve wanted so far.

I have a range of other makita tools and it has lived up to expectation and the brand, good battery life with the 3ah batteries. Drilled solid brick for new toilet waste and also sink waste not a problem. Lightweight and easy to good. Arrived the next day as ordered on prime. Great addition to my tool bag.

I use this in a professional capacity and it’s great. Nearly always 8mm holes and occasionally large and it copes very well. Keep a spare battery charged as it’s quite power hunger especially on the larger holes

Used to break up concrete and drill waste pipe hole through brick walls. Both were a doddle with this. Amazing power.

Bought this for the DIY jobs in my new house, tv brackets etc. Like a hot knife through butter with up to the 10mm bit I was using. Works out very well priced if like me you have the battery.

This Makita is a great tool, as expected from a leading manufacture…I bought this to dig up a concrete path and did an amazing job, tirelessly taking a hammering. I have also used it to drill holes into concrete too, which it does like a hot knife through butter..well you know what I mean. I think this is a great tool for most medium duty pro to ‘heavy duty’ DIY work.
I used to own a corded SDS drill, but got this for more freedom. Feels great in the hand, not too heavy. Also, not loud at all. A quality tool, great for drilling and chiseling. In chisel mode, you can chose the rotational setting of your chisel from a number of settings, thus ensuring it has the optimum angle in relation to your work surface. Another quality Makita tool.

Very speedy delivery and arrived just as I was having a problem drilling through some tough concrete. “goes through concrete like butter.” other reviews say, “warm butter” is all I can add. love it.

If a power tool is weak I would break it very quick I push all my tools far past it’s limits.

Nothing stands in the way of this monster. Be careful when using as it will destroy the wall if your not careful. Really well built drill that will not let you down. Great battery life too.

Excellent drill. Bought it as the battery on my old Dewalt was not holding the charge. I already own a few other Makita 18V LXT tools so this seemed the obvious replacement. I have an SDS chuck supplied with another rotary hammer drill (5 joules output for more serious work on concrete) and I can use that on the Makita to enable me to use some larger masonary drills I own.

Great item! To be honest I will not be using it much as I have a corded hammer drill but some times a battery powered drill is a better option!

Fantastic, powerful drill. I drilled 60+ holes around the house in to the lintels above several windows to fix curtain poles. Extremely easy to use and it drilled as if drilling in to wood. Very pleased and being battery operated (I ordered the 18v 3aH battery – but forgot to also order the charger, so don’t forget to order this too – The unit I bought charges the flat battery in 22mins – using high-tech fan cooled charging technique) it was very easy to use up ladders etc, without trailing cables.
It is a lovely bit of kit for sure and a reasonable price (versus similar). I am a DIY’er (of sorts) and do have the Makita batteries so it made perfect sense. Does what you’d expect but much better. Makes easy work of jobs which is what I need nowadays. Feels very well made and that it will last for years.
Superb drill. Opened up under the stairs and it made easy work of it. Had to charge 4amp battery 3 times when using chisel action. Drilling holes requires no effort at all.
It was used everyday and It lasted 3 years.
N the trigger didn’t work.

Very happy. Very precise and Enough Power for my Tasks. 300 holes drilled. With fresh 5ah it takes no musclepower, but as the battery depleeds the tougher IT gets.

What a piece of kit! A few months of use and it looks 2 years old but I do use it almost everyday. No real quirks to speak of and it’s a beast with a 4Ah! It’s not met anything it can’t do yet. I am so glad I went cordless, spend the money now on this and a 4Ah and you’ll be laughing.

cant go wrong with makita brilliant quality this has been threw a had workout in the past couple weeks putting in 2800 thunder bolts that’s 700 galvanized fence base in to a 50 year old grannet and cement mix floor (very hard) and still working brilliantly

THIS is a concrete drill, made the job of drilling through lintels an absolute breeze to install secondary glazing. Would highly recommend.
Exelant drill and delivered promptly. It was purchased because I all ready had a makita 18v combi and I wanted to be able to swap battery’s around. When compared next to a 24v sds drill the battery can drain a bit quick when doing some heavy drilling even with 4ah battery’s, which you would need as a minimum I would say. But saying that the drill is powerful and well built. I would have no problem recommending this drill.
Great addition to my Makita L-Ion range. If you have use for this drill you won’t be disappointed.

I use Irwin speedhammer drill bits and stunned how easily this drills holes in the hardest concrete with pebbles and stones in it very chuffed!!
Very powerful, goes through brick in seconds. Had been struggling to get into hard brick with my normal hammer action drill, turned this and the job was done in no time. Weight is good and the drill feels well made. Would highly recommend.

Have used it a lot since it arrived the chisel stop is useful have drilled several different types of brick goes through them all with no effort. Only thing I will say as other’s have eats your battery double quick!
