Very light chair to move around and is ideal for my wife to sit at the sink or in the shower. Not sure if it would be sturdy enough to support anyone over about 12 stone.

Bought this for an elderly grandparent and they couldn’t have asked for a different one as it’s so perfect. It’s easy to put together and only takes about 10 minutes max. It’s perfectly comfortable and has padding unlike some others which is just hard plastic and doesn’t move around at all even when wet as it uses suction to hold it in place. If you want to move it, it will take a little bit of force to pick up as you have to release the suction pads, but it is perfect for a shower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased in order to use shower while lower leg and foot in plaster (fibreglass) after complex midfoot reconstruction surgery (with use of LimbO sleeve as well)
Six to twelve weeks of non- or partial weight-bearing.
Took about 10minutes to assemble from very compact and neat packaging, but I imagine some might struggle a bit, despite relatively clear instructions.
Overall, a very worthwhile purchase, even if for temporary use. I would not hesitate to use this if I had a longer-term need for such an object.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSimple to assemble with no tools required. Aluminium construction so it will not rust. Sturdy rubber feet to prevent slipping. It certainly seems strong in construction and is lightweight.
When building remember the 5 long screws secure the tubular sections to the base, and the 4 short screws hold the backrest. There are 8 curved washers and 1 flat washer, the flat washer goes on the central screw.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe shower seat is a good idea for those who need it but unfortunately it’s too wide to fit into a standard size bath tub under the shower so would recommend this be a product only used by people with large stand in showers or extra wide tubs

While my partner was pregnant, her iron levels were low, as was her blood pressure (just the way she is built). As an added safety measure in a warm shower, I got her this chair – which was met with some fuss, but has now become an essential shower accessory.

It needs to be cleaned every so often, as like with most bath and shower accessories, it has bits where mold can grow. However, it is a great item and this should not be considered a drawback.

It is adjustable, however this does not translate well into maneuverability – its a bit awkward but I think that just comes with the territory as not many folks tend to put chairs in showers!

If you have a pregnant partner, it could just make them comfortable as well. I have used it after some long runs and just sitting in a shower after going 10k is a nice feeling.

This shower chair is excellent value. It is sturdy and safe, fits easily into the shower cubicle and is light enough for my husband to lift out when he needs to shower, then replace ready for me to use. It has helped me to regain some independence quickly after recent surgery. It was fairly easy to assemble but needs a strong grip on some of the fittings. I am pleased that we will be able to disassemble so that it can be stored for future usage. I would recommend this product without a doubt.

Took me about half an hour to put together – I did make a couple of errors. Recommend you do it on a table. Instructions do not mention screws much. Seat upside down, fix leg supports crossways in grooves, screw short screw in the middle. Don’t screw in other screws like I did. Move seat to edge of table and fit back supports ( pointing at the floor, not upwards like I did ) using the four long screws. Don’t tighten screws too much till you are happy. Fit back rest using other four short screws. Not used it yet but looks sturdy enough for my Mum who is about 14 – 15 st.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this for my mother who bathes by standing in the bathtub and showering, she doesn’t want to replace the bath/get a walk in shower, but she gets cramps in her legs after standing in the bath for about 5 minutes and as she gets older worries about slipping as she tries to get out/in etc. She currently weighs about 125kg/280lbs and I was concerned this wouldn’t hold that much weight regularly, I’ve had it several months now and there’s no sign of it bending or struggling under the weight and she simply rotates on her bum and slips off the chair onto the floor on her feet, no fear of stepping over the bath wall or slipping on the floor of the bathtub!

Set up was easy, super easy if there’s two people, but solo it only took me 4-5 minutes, the shower head holder on the sides of the chair are fantastic! I’ve used the chair myself to test and being able to simply put the shower head in the chair holder to get a closer wash is great, and the back rest makes showering a breeze, it’s no longer a daunting task for my mother.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe chair arrives in multiple pieces ( at least 34 ) and requires the buyer to assemble it. The instructions are dreadful. What would you make of “Depress the marbles”? There are many similar riddles. In addition the instructions require you to wipe and dry the chair after use. Well – the adjustable feet will slowly fill with water, if only though the adjustment holes so this requirement seems to offer a good way of avoiding legal action. “So it broke – well you didnt dry it properly.
As for the chair as assembled, It seems to be strong, stable and fairly light. We will find out more when my wife uses it.

Good quality seat which was easy to put together once you figure out that there are different length bolts to use for different jobs (instructions could have been better here). The chair was easily assembled by my husband, it is very lightweight and feels reasonably sturdy when you sit on it. If the legs are made of strong enough material to take mum’s weight all should be well, only time will tell. Mum likes it. I suggest you always attach the back as I think that has something to do with strengthening and keeping the legs in place (I noticed a small number of reviews show photos of collapse with no back in site)

Having just had a knee replacement taking a shower was top of my list. This chair is ideal. It is sturdy and stable, with the place for the shower head allowing me to test the water temperature, without getting the whole of the shower area covered in water. I had to get someone else to assemble it, which they found easy, but for me this was impossible with my limited mobility. As I have a second knee replacement to cope with, and I live alone, then the chair will be my companion for some time to come. I have no problem taking a shower. My initial difficulty was getting out of the shower, which is some 9 inches higher than the bathroom floor. This was solved by borrowing a Zimmer frame to give me added security when exiting the shower. A good tip for anyone else with a similar high shower.

This has been a god-send for my Mom. She’s never enjoyed showers as she always felt unsteady standing in water, so having the stool has totally reassured her. Its solid, sturdy and has a generous seat for comfort. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI ordered this shower stool for my mother who has diminished mobility and balance but wants to shower independently. I had to pack it in my suitcase and take it abroad. It arrived within the expected time in good packaging. It was very easy to assemble. Lightweight and yet sturdy and steady. My mum doesn’t need the tote bag but it could be handy for those who may need it. All in all a very useful purchase, in my view.

I had to search for a strong and safe stool as it needed to support twenty stone and this does the job. It was very easy to put together, with clear instructions and it is very comfortable to sit on. The stool arrived within three days so excellent service. I would certainly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for my disabled wife and she is very pleased with it. Even though I also bought a stick on hand support, my wife is able to rise up from the seat with very little difficulty. Excellent value for money.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe stool is easy to assemble, sturdy and height adjustable. The seat is cushioned by what appears to be sorbo-rubber and is quick drying. There are various receptacles built in to hold brushes etc. and a nice little touch of a free hanging bag to keep shampoo, shower gel and nail brushes reachable. One tip on assembly, the instructions have the slanting feet facing inwards. This is the opposite way to how it sits firmly in the bath. I turned the rubber feet around to face outward, it looks wrong but it makes more solid contact with the slope of the bath sides.
