Not had time to use it fully but have tested it out found it easy to use, on different metals the different types.

Easy to use and assembly and great way of of get out in to the country side .
Lite weight easy to use needs a little practice to get used to tones and various sensitivity settings. I buried a few things in the lawn and let my partner find them.
We had this detector set up and ready to go in minutes. It was easy to assemble. It looks good on the eye and it feels comfortable and stable to wear. Quite lightweight. An arm strap holds it snuggly in place. The stem is adjustable accomodating people of various heights. The various settings are controlled from the bright display which is simple enough to get the hang of. We haven’t been very successful yet with any major finds as yet but the good weather is coming. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with it. Quite a good buy for a cheap price. Under 130. I would recommend it until you want to fork out hundreds.

Despite being a middle-of-the-range detector, this unit is surprisingly beginner friendly, the controls are intuitive and the LCD screen is easy to read and understand.
Great fun when walking down the beach, I often bring the dog with me and let him run about whilst I search for hidden treasures.
Next week will be heading to a beach to explore lost treasures in the sand as I tried hiding gold under a soil to see how it works and how deeply it will pick up so I’m looking forward to my new Hobby
Took one of the grandkids out at the weekend wellies on in a field looking for gold never found any gold but found a old half penny and my grandson thought it was amazing treasure, I told him it was worth a lot give him 5 pounds he was soooo happy lol.
It’s great fun and gets us out together in the countryside seems to work great so far we are loving it

The SUNPOW is a fairly basic and entry-level metal detector that can provide hours of fun for both kids and adults. Although simplicity is at the core of its performance, it has 4 search modes and a colour LCD display to help beginners get a head start on learning how to detect.
The maximum detection range is decent, the advertised depth is 25.4cm which has been consistent with my findings down on the beach. The stem is adjustable to allow users of all heights to effectively and comfortably use the device, this ranges from 36.2″ (92cm) to 47.2″ (120cm).
The SUNPOW metal detector offers unparalleled value for money, we decided we needed to get back into shape after the last lockdown and concluded it would be both entertaining and educational to take the kids on long walks down the beach looking for hidden treasure!
This detector is relatively simple to use, even for beginners such as my kids, although if you wish to use the detector to its full potential then it’s worth learning about the more advanced modes.
It also comes with a couple useful accessories, including a pair of headphones, shovel, carry bag and a pair of good quality 9V batteries. Well worth the money that we paid — would recommend!

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson for Christmas and he loves it although it did take a bit of getting used to the different beeps and what they mean.
It was very simple to assemble and is light enough for him to use and although he hasn’t found any treasure yet he has found a few coins so heres hoping.
I’ve never owned a metal detector before so I was expecting it would be difficult to get to grips with, thankfully that was not the case. This metal detector is very beginner friendly and took no time at all to set up and get going.
Accurate and easy to use, we’ve took this to the beach numerous times and enjoyed seeing the junk and treasure that people have left behind.
Bought this back in September. Not used it much due to the poor weather, but have had fun when I have. I find it easy to use. Still getting used to how metal detectors work and enjoy expanding my knowledge albeit slowly.
From what little I know of metal detecting I would say that this is certainly is good for beginners. It appears to be a nice bit of kit and does what it says on the tin. Haven’t found a Roman hoard yet, found plenty of nails, ring pulls, bits of discarded metal, but here’s hoping.

The setup is pretty straight forward, you just need to attach a few rods together with the main detector on the end.
It can be adjusted at the arm depending upon the size of the person using it. Since the device is lightweight it is pretty comfortable to use too.
It detects the usual metals in the ground without any problems, making a nice clear noise when it does.
In summary it seems to do what it is intended to do quite well 🙂

The detector takes seconds to assemble and is very simple and easy to use. It has a nice digital display and a menu interface that’s easy to navigate. It has 4 different detection modes, pinpoint mode is especially useful for knowing exactly where to dig and the fact it can tell you the depth is a very beneficial feature.
I live in Scotland so the fact the device is waterproof is a great plus, it rains here 90% of the year and anything used outdoors for long periods of time needs to be waterproof. The device is easily adjusted so that my niece and nephew can use it aswell as myself and it’s a fun day out for both adults and kids.
Love it comes with the accessories too, makes it a good value for money bundle.

I’m glad I ordered this when I did because the price has increased. I bought this metal detector to go out with my sons treasure hunting. We have the permission to go to the local farmers fields to to and chance our luck. There is a Pictish standing stone near to our house so I think the best place to try would be the fields close to there. This metal detector kit is definitely more sensitive than my son’s which is half the price. We tested it with various coin distances and this detector was so much more sensitive. You can reduce the sensitivity of you keep getting false signals. It is well designed to carry. It is lightweight and water/ weather proof. So far we have found a lot of metal bolts and pieces of metal bits – likely farm tractor equipment. We will persevere and feel lucky that we’ll find something good soon.
