Like to have a shower that works. Replaced Mirs Sports shower with Mira Sports shower.

Bought this to replace an old Grohe Tempest 100 shower, did the installation myself in under an hour, the instructions are really detailed and after change the water and electrical connections from left to right, fitted like a dream, fixing holes were different but that was to be expected, but new unit being slightly larger covered all of the previous holes, so looks great and works really well. Did not give five stars because after only a month the shower head cradle started slipping down, but simply tightening the screw resolved this issue

Bought this to replace my mobilityplus + shower unit that had stopped working after seven years.
It’s footprint is slightly larger than the original unit which meant I didn’t have to worry about it being the right size.
Had it professionally installed and was told that it is a very good model to have. Took him just over an hour to do the job and that included two phone calls, so very impressed.
Have set the water pressure on econ and adjusted the temperature to one that suits me, which was easier than on the original unit.
Overall I am more than happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.
Don’t forget to activate the guarantee.

Bought to replace an Aqualisa which died after 3.5 years. This model was recommended by a plumber. Easy to install and looks smart too. Very happy

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe had had a Triton Shower for many years and had to replace a few times due to mainly heater issues. So took the risk and went to Mira. Bought the Multi Fit which claimed it could replace nearly every other brand/Model. So got a plumber to come to fit. After a bit of faff the plumbing side was done, but the mains supply was short..
Electrician later sorted and a great showerif anything to powerful and too hotbut happy family

Bought as a replacement for a long standing MIRA, this was straight forward for a DIY enthusiast, although this was a first. It has proved to be an ideal shower unit in the en-suite bedroom for when the family visit.

I have been using Mira showers for a long time. Mira is a good brand previous one lasted 5 years then developed a fault decided to replace instead of repairing. This is a new model they all come with 2 years warranty. As always impressed with this shower good pressure flow and heats up really quickly.

I purchased this to replace a TRITON shower, cost more than twice the price but was well worth it, it looks good and the water delivery is good, my wife loves it, what more could you ask for !

I replaced my old shower after the thermostat went on it, this new one is fantastic compared to my old one, it has far more pressure the water gets hotter at higher pressure too, it’s exactly what we wanted.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersNightmare. My shower, a ten year old Mira Sport model, stopped working and I was advised by a plumber friend to get a new one. And so, looking for one that is supposed to fit very easily over old models, I bought the latest Mira and I am mostly impressed. The pipes and feeds are in exactly the same place as the last one so fitting it was easy for my plumber – it was simple unclip, unscrew, unwire, job to take it down and the reverse to install it. The instructions are detailed though, of course, it’s always best to get a professional to do it. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a four setting power shower head, significantly better than the old one had. This, in itself, is probably worth twenty pounds.
It’s a stylish, minimalist looking unit that looks neat on the wall and, after a bit of silicon around the edge, it was ready to go. This is where it loses a star. The old model would need to be on ‘High’ and near full power to please hot shower user Mrs Pugh – if she tried the same on this, she’d have second degree burns. The settings are strange and take some getting used to – the low setting is adequate though not especially forceful, the Eco requires you to go to full ‘red’ on the dial to get proper hot water. But for power and heat, the ‘High’ mode is the other extreme and I would advise some kind using some kind of fire suit while testing it – my plumber scalded his feet as it came on as if this was some kind of ‘Final Destination’-style judgement against him. On the whole though, once the temperature control is achieved (half way on the dial, High mode is sufficient unless you want to try and poach a lobster) it’s a good unit. Definitely excellent value for the under 200 I paid for it.

It has excellent power and control and was simple to install and commission for me as a non plumber/electrician. Replacing an 11 year old mira advance shower that was equally fantastic

Easy to install. My old one broke so I bought this to replace. Took about 1.5hours to install and ensure everyone was working.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe shower works alright regarding wetting you at a controllable temperature. However, because of mains water seasonal variations the spray pressure is very low during winter even at high temperature setting and I couldn’t possibly have it set on eco or less. Regarding “sheerness”, you can’t see through the body of the shower at all but can easily see through the water spray because of its low pressure. If your replacing an older sport model don’t expect a straightforward installation because the fixing points are in totally different positions.

Sent a part back years ago had a phone call from one of their engineers that the plumber put the part in wrong way around but not to worry they’d send us a new one which they did with written instructions from the engineer for my plumber – never forgot that level of service and never been disappointed with Mira showers – this one lives up to expectations – can recommend

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy husband installed the shower without any previous experience. The replacement shower had multiple options to install, utilising the previous connections making it super easy. Although, the old shower breaking was an inconvenience and unwanted expense, as a family we are glad it did because the new shower is far superior. Would highly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAfter my long serving Gainsborough 10 yrs plus failed I searched google as you do , found a Gainsborough replacement , which didn’t exactly fit as I though it should, but I got there , only to find 8 months down the line the water pressure turn to a dribble , on contacting service department , and explained what I had done to prove my water supple was ok , they said the engine (basically the whole of the shower under the cover) had failed and would send a replacement , after this was fitted it lasted another 13 months and went again , my choice was to order a replacement engine for 80 or a different shower , so I went back to google and YouTube , checking installation positions , knowing my cables and feed pipe were on the right hand side , and the bulk of suppliers are made on the left hand side , then I stumbled on multi fit showers , being a bit worried I carried on reading about them , then found the MIRA version , after studying the layout and knowing the name MIra have , I went for it , I got a reduced price one on amazon which made my choice even better , read a few reviews , which after taking an hour to fit myself , I came to the conclusion some were right , ie has a big foot print , which does seem to cover all holes in the wall no problem , as this was my third unit in the same place ,I had a few holes , which I filled with sealer, and some were just written by idiots , as the name “multi fit” refers to the pipe and cable layout , about 6 or so options for pipe and cable fitment, not to the mounting holes as some think they should of fitted also “these said I reduced my rating on the shower as the screw holes didn’t line up and I had to redrill the holes ” total idiots in my eyes …. after removing the old shower and lined up the pipe work marked the new holes to be drill , changed the red stop end and the black filter over inside , also moved the cable connector over , and connected up , job done ….. less than an hour I was up and running , the only slight issue I have is the same as a few others , the drop rail for the shower head is now to close to the shower and wont come all the way down , as I’m tall I can live with this , wish there were more models to chose from , having said this , the one I have is superb , the sport model ,and was nice to install and cover all the old marks on the wall , with 4 head settings, its the best electric shower I’ve had to date , so I think I made the right choice … despite the negative reviews , really powerful and a pleasure to use again .

    MULTI FIT , Superb idea

I am more than pleased with the Shower, it works very well easy to operate, And it was fitted where my old shower was without demolishing any tiles at all. The head is large enough to give a nice relaxing but more than powerful enough Shower.

I bought this multi fit shower option as it was meant to replace my old shower- which it did very well! I had to slightly alter the existing entry water pipe and cable length respectively and the the new ‘multifit was installed without too much trouble. It is good to have the shower working! I also ensured I registered the new shower.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought and fitted over Easter. We have had problems with previous showers due to poor water pressure. The Mira has 0.7 bar rating which is better than the previous Triton and it seems to be working well with our water pressure. The key selling point for this shower is that you can retro fit it to replace most older showers. This is achieved by having several alternative inlets for water and two positions for electrical connection. Provided you can match your previous connections to the new shower you can fit this shower without the need to employee a plumber. However, you need to check a few things out before committing to this path. First this shower is quite a bit larger and in particular wider than many showers. This is so that any unsightly holes from previous installation are covered by the shower. You need to check that there is sufficient room to fit the shower between your wall and the water inlet. I had about 2 cms to spare. The electrical connections are well placed but if your previous connection was cut a bit short you might have trouble. I was able to use the lower right connection for my wiring which although previously left hand my wires would not reach up to the left hand connection on the Mira. The instructions are reasonable but you do need to make sure you are doing things in the right order. Check your main shower circuit breaker before you start. Mine is 30 amp so is okay for the 9 kw but not the 9.8 kw. The shower head itself has 4 useful settings and gives good control over temperature. The shower accessories are also relatively easy to fit and you should be able to reuse holes from previous fittings. The shower head holder is good but the soap holder is a bit basic. Overall we are pleased with the Mira Sport and it is great to have usable shower again.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is our third Mira Sport Shower as they seem to last on average about seven years. In our area anyway, with its very hard water.

The shower was fairly easy to fit as the water and electrical connections are on the left side ( as you look at the unit), in almost exactly the same position as the two previous ones. However the three fixing holes are in completely different locations, meaning three more holes in the tiled bathroom wall. Other reviewers have commented on this and it’s a bit odd on a supposedly multi-fit product.

Be careful with the shower hose, as it comes with two easily mislaid fibre washers, one for shower head connection and one for the wall unit. If you don’t fit them, the connections leak fairly profusely, possibly a problem for the future. My other caveat is the quality of the shower rail wall brackets, clamp bracket and soap dish. The resulting assembly is, to me, rather flimsy for a unit at this price point.

In use the shower is good, easy to control with a reasonable flow rate. It’s also attractively styled and would, I imagine, fit into any modern bathroom.
