These are great! Easy to light, even if they’re wet, we provide them to our Scouts when lighting fires and I use them at home for our open fire.
They’re dead cheap compared to other firelighters, don’t smell and burn for quite a while with a hot flame. Highly recommended.
These are great. I use them to light our Woodburner, chiminea, BBQ & pizza oven. I find that only 1 is needed in the Woodburner – I pop a sheet of newspaper (or Amazon packing paper) in the bottom (on top of any existing ash) then the fire starter topped off with a small jenga of kindling & logs. In the BBQ I pop a couple under a BBQ chimney with the charcoal in the top part. I only use 1 in the Ooni pizza oven & 1 in the chiminea.
Sometimes the twists fall apart a little, but they are just as effective with a heap of loose bits.
Was sick of hands smelling of fire lighters when lighting the wood stove so thought I’d try these.
So pleased I tried these even the smaller size fire lights are just as effective as the larger ones to start a good fire, will definitely be buying again once I’ve used the 500.
These fire starters are fantastic! You only need one to ignite a fire, and it’s great that they’re all-natural. They come in various sizes, and though I didn’t count them, I’d easily say that the box hit the 500 mark. I purchased a box over a year ago and still have plenty left, so this was just a refill. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Now, had to reorder firelighters after the first seller cancelled my order, basically refused to deliver the product. Anyway moving on to these, firstly they vary in size, considerably. But then again not too concerned they are a natural product. Had firelighters in the past, so build quality looks good and no adverse smell. Will update once I have used a few times.
Bought and used before and will buy again. Always excellent quality compared to some others. I find you only need one with a little kindling on a wood burner to get a good fire going, so great value for money. RECOMMENDED.

Work really well and like that we have now not had to use the paraffin starters, no smell, light easily and burn slowly so make for a good start to the fire in the burner.
Very quick to light, no odour, clean to the touch and they don’t evaporate once the box is opened. I use two at a time and a box of 200 lasts a winter. I’ve tried others that are more dense and compacted but these are much better.

Assorted sizes mean it’s much easier to light a fire with the fat stubby ones rather than the longer thinner ones. Slightly annoying as you end up using double the amount.

What can you say about firelighters?
Well I have been using these for a few years now with my stove (wood burner) and I can say they are brilliant.
2 of these, a little kindling and the logs are burning happily in no time.
Light very easily and burn well with no unpleasant smells.
There simply is no reason to use those awful “traditional” firelighters any more! Just buy a box of these.

Does what it says, lights fire every time…no failures..no smell and no going off. Only problem is wee straggly bits left over, but hardly end of the world. Would definitely recommend these.

These firelighters work brilliantly and unlike some others I’ve used, you don’t need to use lots to get the fire going. I use them in my woodburner and they do a great job. Got them on a deal so good value as well.

These firefighters are very efficient at getting the kindling alight even when there is a lot of cold air coming down the chimney. Would recommend and will definitely be buying more.

These firelighters are such a good product. So much better than traditional firelighters. There are no horrible chemicals left on your hands. No unpleasant, pungent aroma. A big box works out significantly cheaper than the same number of chemically firelighters. There’s no faffing about remembering to pick up a box in the supermarket, no nasty plastics, no concerning chemicals… and they light really easily. A single larger-size box contains more than enough firelighters to keep us going in wood fires, barbecues, and bonfires for over a year.
These are by some way the easiest firelighters we have ever used: they ‘take’ easily, and burn well but for a nice, long time. Indeed, using these in combination with locally sourced, kiln-dried logs and we find there’s no need for us to buy kindling. Have been using these for a couple of years now, and definitelywould not go back to chemical firelighters.

The only complaint I have is the box was not taped up very well so by the time it reached me the box was open, not sure if I lost any in transit, but I’m not going to count them. one star was lost for this reason alone.

If you’re still buying those white petroleum-based firefighters then stop. These are just as effective, they are far more environmentally friendly, they don’t dry out. We use them for the wood burning stove and BBQ.
These fire-lighters are great. No smell, long burn, excellent for lighting logs without the use of kindling. I bought a huge box and I have barely made a dent despite lighting a fire every night.
Compared to most firelighters these are great. No stink of paraffin, and they do not dry out from one season to the next, so worth buying a larger quantity if you have a shed or garage to sore a bin bag quantity for six months.

Not sure why they wanted scent reviewed as there is no scent! Maybe compared to block fire starters they are great as I can’t stand the smell of them. These fire lighters are great value for money. Easy to store and are very effective. I’ve been using them for 2 years + and would not go back.

These firefighters are no more expensive than the paraffin ones you get in the supermarket, but they light up at once, get your stove going in no time and never make your fingers stink.

A very clean, quick and easy way to light the fire in my log-burning stove. For years I’ve messed about with smelly ‘tradition’ lighters but these are SOOO quick snd easy to use – a roaring fire almost immediately! Very good value for money too!

We put one under the kindling and, in cold weather, one on the top of the logs. We light the one on top first to heat the flue to avoid a possible thermal blockage and five minutes later light the one under the kindling. Good start to the fire every time. Excellent heat and duration and, unlike conventional paraffin based fire lighters, no unpleasant smell smell.
Fantastic firefighters. Thicker than our last ones so ignite easily and carry a good flame to the rest of the logs, very happy with them.
