KEYBOARDThe Impact LX+ has a 25 note, full-size velocity sensitive keyboard and lets you choose between 4 velocity curves that cater for different playing styles including a soft and hard touch. Dynamic and expressive, it is calibrated for all styles of music. Dedicated buttons for octave and transpose buttons as well as pitch bend & modulation wheels are within reach, so you can quickly shift the keyboard or apply additional articulation as needed. Better still, the 4 buttons can be assigned to control additional functions such as Global MIDI channel, MIDI program or LX+ user preset select. | POWERFUL CONTROL CENTERImpact LX25+ features programmable real-time controls: 1x 30mm fader and 8x potentiometers. Each control is fully programmable to send unique MIDI messages and can be stored in any of the 5 user presets. So you can control up to 5 different devices and switch between them seamlessly, in addition to DAW integration. If you switch “Null” on, any parameter values are stored when you change presets so you avoid parameter jumping. Used with Nektar DAW integration, the control options increase substantially, providing flexible pre-mapped DAW control giving you the best of both worlds. | PADS FOR BEATS & GROOVESThe 8 pads are great to play. Dynamic and sensitive, they are ideally suited for finger drumming. Assign sounds or MIDI notes to the pads is quick and easy with Impact’s unique âPad Learnâ feature: Activate, just hit a pad to select, and press a key on the keyboard to assign the MIDI note. Done! You can save your setups in 4 Pad Maps for recall at any time. With Nektar DAW Integration active, the pads are automatically mapped in Reason or Bitwig for instance and provide a true drum machine feeling, including visual feedback using the pads’ colors. |

Nektar DAW Integration takes Impact LX+ way beyond the functionality normally offered by USB MIDI controller keyboards: Give the mouse or trackpad a break and navigate projects, control the mixer or tweak plugins directly from Impact LX+. To help you make the most out of your screen real estate, LX+ also has shortcuts for opening and closing your DAW’s mixer window. And the best is, that there is no complicated setup or programming: Our powerful pre-configured setups take care of mapping everything for you. DAW internal devices are pre-mapped, and factory maps for many popular 3rd party instrument plugins are also included. Simply install and start making music!
DAW INTEGRATION SUPPORTS:
Bitwig, Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, GarageBand, Logic, Nuendo, Reason, Reaper, Sonar & Studio One.

TRANSPORT & NAVIGATIONNavigate your projects: The 6 dedicated transport buttons are always within reach and mapped to control Cycle, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play and Record. Dedicated Track up/down and Patch up/down buttons are located below the display. Press “Shift” to get access to alternate functions such as Goto L, Set L, Set R, Undo, Click and Mode (implementation details depend on the DAW). | MIXER CONTROLPress “Mixer” and the 8 Impact LX+ encoders are assigned to control 8 DAW mixer channels. The alternate Bank up/down function moves assignments to the next or previous group of 8 channels. Channel mute can be controlled holding “Mixer” and pressing one of the 8 pads. Pan for the selected group of 8 channels is handled by holding “Mixer” while turning the 8 pots. Fader 9 adjusts volume for the currently selected mixer channel as well as master volume. There are even shortcuts to open and close your DAW’s mixer window from Impact LX+, so you can make the most out of your screen real estate and instantly see what’s going on. | INSTRUMENT CONTROLIn “Instrument” mode, you can control virtual instruments directly from the hardware. Nektar mapping takes care of assignments automatically. Many DAW devices and plugins are pre-mapped to match the screened blue control labels, so you can start tweaking right away. The knobs are assigned to typical oscillator and filter parameters, but when you hold “Instrument” while turning a pot, you can also tweak amp and filter ADSR envelopes. In many DAWs, the Page button gives access to a second page of knob assignments. Nektar “Grab” lets you assign parameters to controls instantly: Simply hold “Shift” while moving the instrument parameters you want to control, followed by moving the knob you want them assigned to. Done! Some DAWs even support saving grabbed parameters to a Nektar map for future use. |

Good quality. Nice real size keys but they are weighted so for beginners it would be hard to press them down but good to develop finger muscles. The drum pads have a good sensitivity to them. Easy to connect with the DAW that it comes with. Overall pretty happy with my purchase.
I love it sooo much love the way the keys feel and I can travel with i
Love this. Sort of works with my studio one 4 daw, but not 100%
Keys feel OK, lots of knobs and buttons.
This is my new favorite midi controller! Great deal and features at a killer price point.
Super einfach! 🙂
Sturdy build, great plug and play compatibility. Used with Garageband straight out of the box and it’s been superb.
This is my first MIDI keyboard so I have nothing to compare it to.
– extremely light weight.
-keys feel far better than any inexpensive keyboard I have played.
-Pads: never used pads before but from what I can tell they are reasonably responsive and feel great.
What I like most: How much DAW control it offers and that it downloads control presets for different DAWs. I was worried I would have to program it but its super simple to use. Really love using it to mix faders becouse Garageband doesn’t have an actual mixer window.
Right out of the box I could tell this controller was more my speed. It comes with a manual that breaks down all of the default settings and provides tons of detail about the midi functionality of the device. The included software didn’t require any addition DRM software (like iLok). Just register the device and use the included license code to download the provided DAW.
The full size keys have a very pleasant action for a keyboard novice like myself. The difference is night and day. I don’t miss notes when pressing lightly any more like I did on my other controller.
This controller is geared more towards production than performance, with lots of built in controls for your DAW. I haven’t delved deeply into the included software, but I can say that I was hoping there would be at least 1 VST instrument included.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this device and can’t wait to master it.
Amazing MIDI keyboard ! Very good size and price is decent , bit expensive for shipping (but more then the price for it self) but on the other hand I got it within 2-3 days so I’m satisfied ! 🙂
I love it but I instantly wished I bought the larger model.
Great product for any beginner wanting to tap away on the pads and keyboard though the drum pad felt a bit stiff maybe that is intentional in drum pads since I’ve only used 2 in my life
I like the midi very much. I just don’ t like Bitwig 8 track interface. I want to know if I can use another interface?
Studio controller. Does an incredible amount of stuff for little outlay. The savings comes from the lightweight materials used in the build. Would have to think twice about it for gigs but just fine for studio.
Had tried Alesis and a Novation in a shop and returned the Novation as one of the keys kept catching. Tried this as the reviews looked promising and I’m glad I did. Feels and looks great. Keys are solid and the pads and switches are firm and look like they’re made to last. LED’s are all working fine and I’m really impressed for the 80 I paid on Amazon, nice one Nektar.
its awesome now i just need to learn how to use i
Got this a couple days ago from Amazon. It really is a nice controller. I have had no issues and works great with FL Studio.
It works, that’a all I gotta say its a must have for someone getting into music production! I used it with FLstudio20 and it worked just fine, it helps you get started with a booklet that comes with it.
This is the first controller I ever bought. I needed for a music production intro class I was taking in college. The size is great as it doesn’t take up much space on my desk and gives me all of the function I need. I’m not much of a musician, mostly a hobbyist, so the stiffness of the keys that other reviewers mentioned didn’t bother me. In fact, I didn’t really even notice it — but that’s probably because I’m such a newbie. Anyways, this is a great value for anyone just starting out and I highly recommend it.
I first used this keyboard with Ardour, which is a low cost DAW, and it worked fine. I’ve since upgraded to Cubase, and again the LX25+ works great. The full sized keyboard makes it easy to play and the transport controls are convenient when doing recording sessions. You can keep four different MIDI mappings for the drum pads and assign the pads to a different MIDI channel from the keyboard. I have not been using the eight knobs, but those can be used to control synth settings or adjust a mix. The unit is very solid. All power is from the USB connection. Nektar’s web site has the DAW-specific installation packages you will need to make full use of the unit. Those become available after you register the product.
This keyboard fits to my needs because the few This product meets my needs because the space I had available in my “home studio” is restricted, keyboard keys and pad for percussion is sufficient. Moreover, the provided software “Bitwig” works rather badly on Linux. I got the software “Ardor” even if the integration with the keyboard is less complete.
Works well, complicated to set up. Not as simple as people make out, needed a few YT videos. Feels good, pads could be better.
Only used minimally since I do most of my production on mpc but love having the keys and pads in one place. Full sized weighted keys are what sold me. Easy setup in FL studio as well
Ottimo prodotto!!
I love the standard key size! The keys have a nice springiness that mimics the feel of weighted keys. It’s close enough that you get used to the difference rather quickly. Reacts well and maintains the velocity. Haven’t had any problems with it!
amazon always comes in a brown cardboard box regardless of what it is, this did not. so just beware of that.
***Pros:
-compact, small foot print on my desk
-full size keys
-touch sensitive controller pads
-no power cord, USB powered
***Cons:
-a bit to big for portability, but that is not why I bought it.
For me, as you can see, the pros out weigh the cons.
I would consider this an all around good buy and would recommend, I would also buy again.
Hab damit keine Probleme soweit.
This is my first MIDI controller, apart from an old Yamaha keyboard. I suppose I should have found one with some easily available ProTools integration, which this one does not have (other DAW, yes, per the list one the page). Nevertheless, I enjoy the feel and playability. Bend and modulation wheels feel solid and work smoothly.
I have the Nektar Panorama P6 and wanted a smaller keyboard to take with me on trips. Unfortunately it is just a smidge too large to fit in my hand luggage bag, but I now find myself using it away from my main studio all the time, it has the same integration with Logic as its larger sibling and I love that when using my laptop. Definitely recommend this keyboard, quick access to the transport, full size keys and quite portable, for the mobile studio its brilliant.
It’s a great product and works well. I gave it a 4 because the instructions are pretty confusing for a beginner, it’s easier to google them.
I am in love with this. Looks are awesome. I bought this after returning faulty Novation Launchkey.
Great product, very nice build quality for the price, it feels pro.
Full sized keys are nice, great keyboard for music productio
I bought this to use with my portable recording studio while traveling. I use it with Propellerheads Reason and it integrates nicely with it. I’m not actually a keyboard/piano player, but this allows me to lay down melodies, bass lines, and drum tracks. It seems well built and is a real bargain at $99 and it fits in my suitcase.
I use this keyboard for recoriding midi and it works great. I like the size of the keys and the pads are nice. This is a great keyboard for beginner producers!
Pretty big for a small version but has all the bells and whistles of some more expensive keyboards. Personally love it. Although haven’t used it much ye
Doing some research, this one seemed like the Reaper community’s control keyboard of choice. With manufacturer supplied DAW support, it’s excellent. A few quick setup steps gets you where you need to be — register the device with Nektar, they’ll link you to a zip file with an executable and some Reaper-specific doc. Run the executable, follow the simple steps you need to make in Reaper’s config, and you’re off. Easy — takes less than ten mins.
As for the device itself — brilliant. USB powered (so no power cables to add your under-desk spaghetti). But with no need for a driver install. Works out of the box. Feels solid, with professional quality resistance on the faders and pots. Nice keyboard for the price; not weighted, but springy rather than flabby. I’m using the default sensitivity curve since I unboxed in and it’s good and subtle, but if you want to change the velocity sensitivity, there are five choices of curve. And you can load user or default instrument maps (default drum pads worked straight away with the Manda Audio MT Power Drumkit VST, for example). So no more config required except for advanced tweaks. You can save five user preset maps in the keyboard itself — but Reaper’s “learn” functions and the ability to save unlimited instrument or device maps via Reaper dialogues essentially means you can set up anything with a bit of patience.
Nice navigation too — you quickly learn some easy shortcuts, like changing the octave of the keyboard, or speedily navigating to the mixer. You can control the mixer’s volume or pan using the pots for eight tracks, and jump to the next eight using a quick shortcut. You can display a VST instrument GUI and hide it with button combos, and manage the playback.
Very configurable, very functional, productive straight away. What an excellent device. I recommend, especially for Reaper users although I’ve heard good reports for Ableton and Pro Tools users, too. I can’t imagine what I would have got for less than 100 that would have been better. Good work Nektar.
EDIT: Just updated slightly to correct some atrocious typo’s.
Una joya de aparato por 4 cosas:
Oh how I love this midi keyboard.
1. Build quality is amazing
2. Knobs are frim and feel premium
3. The drum pads are really sensitive and the texture is perfect for finger drumming
4. Compatible with most DAWs
5. The bigwig daw that comes with this is also quite nice
Works well with FL Studio. Has a lot of features for a small price. I needed it for live tweaking parameters on some of my plugins that I couldn’t do with a normal keyboard. Wouldn’t imagine playing anything for real on this thing- but good for testing samples/presets and then record on a full sized keyboard, use knobs on this for tweaking parameters.
Keyboard arrived quickly and provided me immediately with a great number of beats and instruments. I look forward to learning as much as I can about this so I can utilize it to its full potential.
A fantastic MIDI controller at this price point… Works well with Cubase… Sturdy build… Good response on the keys… Works well with mapping all vst instruments…
The angels in heaven would surely give their wings for but one Nektar IMPACT LX25+ MIDI Controller.
Best 25 key midi keyboard/controller. Works well with reason 10 daw
Construccin solida.
Knobs, botones y ruedas regulares.
A bit complicated at first since I am integrating it with FL studio so to get use to it is a learning curve. It detected this beautifully but follow the instruction on the FL Studio manual.
Should have gotten a full one to start. It’s a good product though.
Works well, great product. Showed up in its packaging and was left on my door, nothing hiding it, so be careful when it’s going to arrive!
-8 encoder rotativi ovviamente programmabili
Merci beaucoup . Jean 34 .
It immediately made friends with Reaper (after a download/install from Nektar’s website), allowing me to use the transport controls and the fader as if it were a control surface. Pretty neat!
Keys feel good to me as a non-pianist. The drum pads feel good and sturdy as well. Knobs all feel good, although they’re definitely in that budget-gear range of quality. The housing itself is sturdy, but plastic. The mod and pitch wheels offer an acceptable amount of resistance, and the transport buttons feel about the same as my FaderPort, which means they’re just “fine”.
One thing that I have to commend Nektar for is the inclusion of a full-color, full-size user manual that goes into detail about every function that this keyboard is capable of. That’s becoming way too rare these days, so I really appreciate the extra effort that they put into the manual for an entry-level piece of gear.
So far I’m a big fan. I wasn’t expecting much out of the drum pads but they’re very responsive so far. Seems like this should be at least $150 dollars so at the price and quality, I’m very happy.
I’m new to Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), but I wanted something simple and inexpensive to make noises and record tracks using my home computer. I also needed a midi controller that comes with the DAW software. The Nektar Impact LX25+ comes with a code for a download of the Bitwig 8-Track studio software (lite version), which is sufficient for my needs.
One thing I especially like about the software is that it isn’t “bloatware”; downloads are straightforward, the installation is clean, and there’s no other drivers or other annoyances to download. One big shortcoming, however, is that I haven’t found a quick-start guide for the complete noob. If you’re new to DAWs, this can be very confusing. Configuring the software to make any noise at all can be frustrating. The manuals included with the keyboard controller aren’t helpful. The on-line documentation is far better, and after some reading I started to figure it out. I’m attaching a video which may help other beginners.
As far as the controller itself, it is solid, and the keys, knobs and pads have a nice feel. The keys are full size. If I had a complaint, it’s that the keys are too stiff and springy, I was really hoping for a lighter touch. But at a $100 price point I wasn’t expecting a Steinway.
I haven’t really begun to explore all the features of the keyboard controller and software, but so far I’m very pleased.
– it has full-sized keys
– it integrates rather seamlessly with most DAWs (I mainly use GarageBand–told you, I’m not a professional–but have toyed around with Cubase and Bitwig)
– it can be powered by an iPad with the appropriate Lightning to USB adapter
I also considered the Novation Launchkey 25, but it was bigger and more expensive.
I mainly bought it around to “doodle” on, but also to do note entry in Finale. It works well for all of these, and due to it’s relatively small size, I can pretty much bring it anywhere. It easily connects to both my iPad and my Mac, with little to no configuration required.
The only cons I have experienced are minor:
– it would be nice if the keys were piano weighted, but that would make it heaver, obviously
– the keys themselves are a bit wiggly, but operate well
Overall all, though, this is a great controller, and great bang for the buck.
It’s larger and sturdier than I expected. Negative side to that is it won’t fit in my backpack easily like I thought it might, especially with my laptop in there as well. That’s on me for not researching the dimensions though. Overall this is a great deal for a compact semi-portable midi keyboard.
It controls Studio One very well. Great for traveling. It fit neatly in my carryon luggage, along with my interface and Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The keys are pretty good considering almost no midi controller on the market truly has a good keybed. (No… Akai, Novation, MAudio, none of these are a good keybed. Even Novation with the Fatar keys is not good. Want proof? Play a real workstation like a Yamaha Motif, Roland Fantom, etc etc… those are good keybeds.) But I’m very happy with this purchase. I would sell off my Akai Advance 61 if I didn’t like the VIP software.
The price is also a steal.
