Good quality. Nice real size keys but they are weighted so for beginners it would be hard to press them down but good to develop finger muscles. The drum pads have a good sensitivity to them. Easy to connect with the DAW that it comes with. Overall pretty happy with my purchase.

If you have any doubt related to installation you can DM me on instagram @jotmusicals. It would be my pleasure to help you.

Super einfach! 🙂

This is my first MIDI keyboard so I have nothing to compare it to.

    – extremely light weight.
-keys feel far better than any inexpensive keyboard I have played.
-Pads: never used pads before but from what I can tell they are reasonably responsive and feel great.

What I like most: How much DAW control it offers and that it downloads control presets for different DAWs. I was worried I would have to program it but its super simple to use. Really love using it to mix faders becouse Garageband doesn’t have an actual mixer window.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this as an upgrade from an Akai MPK mini MK2. Everything about this controller is superior. I still plan to use the Akai as well, but I’m still trying to find it’s niche in my setup.

Right out of the box I could tell this controller was more my speed. It comes with a manual that breaks down all of the default settings and provides tons of detail about the midi functionality of the device. The included software didn’t require any addition DRM software (like iLok). Just register the device and use the included license code to download the provided DAW.

The full size keys have a very pleasant action for a keyboard novice like myself. The difference is night and day. I don’t miss notes when pressing lightly any more like I did on my other controller.

This controller is geared more towards production than performance, with lots of built in controls for your DAW. I haven’t delved deeply into the included software, but I can say that I was hoping there would be at least 1 VST instrument included.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this device and can’t wait to master it.

Had tried Alesis and a Novation in a shop and returned the Novation as one of the keys kept catching. Tried this as the reviews looked promising and I’m glad I did. Feels and looks great. Keys are solid and the pads and switches are firm and look like they’re made to last. LED’s are all working fine and I’m really impressed for the 80 I paid on Amazon, nice one Nektar.

This is the first controller I ever bought. I needed for a music production intro class I was taking in college. The size is great as it doesn’t take up much space on my desk and gives me all of the function I need. I’m not much of a musician, mostly a hobbyist, so the stiffness of the keys that other reviewers mentioned didn’t bother me. In fact, I didn’t really even notice it — but that’s probably because I’m such a newbie. Anyways, this is a great value for anyone just starting out and I highly recommend it.

I first used this keyboard with Ardour, which is a low cost DAW, and it worked fine. I’ve since upgraded to Cubase, and again the LX25+ works great. The full sized keyboard makes it easy to play and the transport controls are convenient when doing recording sessions. You can keep four different MIDI mappings for the drum pads and assign the pads to a different MIDI channel from the keyboard. I have not been using the eight knobs, but those can be used to control synth settings or adjust a mix. The unit is very solid. All power is from the USB connection. Nektar’s web site has the DAW-specific installation packages you will need to make full use of the unit. Those become available after you register the product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally happy I bought this…it works perfectly with the included Bitwig software (you literally install it, attach the Impact LX25 by USB, and everything is already set up) and FL Studio (plus it should work perfectly with other DAW’s), plus the online (and included) instructions for using it and maximising it’s functionality with your preferred software and just general usage are easy to follow and understand. It looks great with the coloured pads also and everything feels and looks premium! I don’t think there are many other midi controllers at this price who match this for functions, ease of use, value and design!

I love the standard key size! The keys have a nice springiness that mimics the feel of weighted keys. It’s close enough that you get used to the difference rather quickly. Reacts well and maintains the velocity. Haven’t had any problems with it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAmazing quality, exactly what I expected. Great for a beginner. I’m not happy however with how it arrived. It was shipped in the actual product box. This was a problem because the box was pretty damaged by the time it got here and it was also a birthday gift. It was supposed to be a surprise for my boyfriend, but he was the one home when it arrived. So he found out two weeks early what it was. Everything I’ve ordered from
amazon always comes in a brown cardboard box regardless of what it is, this did not. so just beware of that.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis midi controller seemed to check all the boxes for me.
    ***Pros:
-compact, small foot print on my desk
    -full size keys
    -touch sensitive controller pads
    -no power cord, USB powered

    ***Cons:
-a bit to big for portability, but that is not why I bought it.

For me, as you can see, the pros out weigh the cons.

I would consider this an all around good buy and would recommend, I would also buy again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt was either this or AKAI mini mkII. I purchased this since it has more functions as I do not care about size. Integrates nicely with FL studio.

This is my first MIDI controller, apart from an old Yamaha keyboard. I suppose I should have found one with some easily available ProTools integration, which this one does not have (other DAW, yes, per the list one the page). Nevertheless, I enjoy the feel and playability. Bend and modulation wheels feel solid and work smoothly.

I have the Nektar Panorama P6 and wanted a smaller keyboard to take with me on trips. Unfortunately it is just a smidge too large to fit in my hand luggage bag, but I now find myself using it away from my main studio all the time, it has the same integration with Logic as its larger sibling and I love that when using my laptop. Definitely recommend this keyboard, quick access to the transport, full size keys and quite portable, for the mobile studio its brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersI purchased this as a control surface for GarageBand and picked it over the Akai and the similarly-priced units because it had transport keys. So from the door those transport keys, among other crucial functions, didn’t map properly. Frustrated, I emailed Nektar and didn’t expect a response immediately. What I got was a response the same day. They told me my software had become corrupt and offered a fix…I had to clear out the corrupted installation files and reinstall. That’s it. Two minutes later everything worked the way it was supposed to. You can produce an entire song with this unit and never have to touch your computer, that’s what I was after. I’m somewhat of a beginner and the LX25+ was easy to figure out and came with a physical manual as well as an online one. The only thing I would consider a “negative” for some people is that it’s not really portable. It’s a big, solid unit. But you’re not going to put it into a backpack and stroll off with it. It’s meant to be stationary in your home but it’s not THAT huge, you could easily pack it up and take it with you…just not in the same laptop bag that your computer is in. Btw the laptop in the pic is a 13″ MacBook Air, and that makes the LX25+ look larger than it is since it’s such a small computer. All-in-all this was a great purchase and I’m very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI have two old hardware synths and Reaper. Although my synths are great at making incredible noises, they can also be used as MIDI keyboards. But it’s clunky; I can’t get a five octave keyboard on the desk (so they’re not conveniently sited), and these keyboards can’t control the play back or mixers, and they don’t have drum pads. Functional, but not ideal. What should I do? I know; why not buy a modern two octave controller?

Doing some research, this one seemed like the Reaper community’s control keyboard of choice. With manufacturer supplied DAW support, it’s excellent. A few quick setup steps gets you where you need to be — register the device with Nektar, they’ll link you to a zip file with an executable and some Reaper-specific doc. Run the executable, follow the simple steps you need to make in Reaper’s config, and you’re off. Easy — takes less than ten mins.

As for the device itself — brilliant. USB powered (so no power cables to add your under-desk spaghetti). But with no need for a driver install. Works out of the box. Feels solid, with professional quality resistance on the faders and pots. Nice keyboard for the price; not weighted, but springy rather than flabby. I’m using the default sensitivity curve since I unboxed in and it’s good and subtle, but if you want to change the velocity sensitivity, there are five choices of curve. And you can load user or default instrument maps (default drum pads worked straight away with the Manda Audio MT Power Drumkit VST, for example). So no more config required except for advanced tweaks. You can save five user preset maps in the keyboard itself — but Reaper’s “learn” functions and the ability to save unlimited instrument or device maps via Reaper dialogues essentially means you can set up anything with a bit of patience.

Nice navigation too — you quickly learn some easy shortcuts, like changing the octave of the keyboard, or speedily navigating to the mixer. You can control the mixer’s volume or pan using the pots for eight tracks, and jump to the next eight using a quick shortcut. You can display a VST instrument GUI and hide it with button combos, and manage the playback.

Very configurable, very functional, productive straight away. What an excellent device. I recommend, especially for Reaper users although I’ve heard good reports for Ableton and Pro Tools users, too. I can’t imagine what I would have got for less than 100 that would have been better. Good work Nektar.

EDIT: Just updated slightly to correct some atrocious typo’s.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI give 4 stars and not 5 because probably Nektar Impact LX25 is not the best 25 keys keyboard in the marke. However, I’m very happy and I have received what I was looking for. The integration with Bitwig (I make music on that software) is really good, which it means it has improved my workflow. Sensitive keys is what I expected too because I used to make music with the Nektar Panorama. Pads are also sensibl, but useless for me because I use the maschine to make the groove. Having said that the price/quality is very good, the product is also good finished.

    Great quality/price

Works well with FL Studio. Has a lot of features for a small price. I needed it for live tweaking parameters on some of my plugins that I couldn’t do with a normal keyboard. Wouldn’t imagine playing anything for real on this thing- but good for testing samples/presets and then record on a full sized keyboard, use knobs on this for tweaking parameters.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat price for small keyboard, basic functions easy if used with Apple Garage Band, works on plugging in. Immediately from plug-in tested it with the Roger Waters’ echo-bass part for ‘cut you up…’ Then switched over and played piano stuff from Hamilton. Nice feel. Rather complicated with inadequate instruction book if you intend to use it outside of a turnkey midi app package like garage band. If have a newer MAC you NEED old-to-new usb adaptor.

    Construccin solida.
    Knobs, botones y ruedas regulares.

This controller + basic software is all you need to start making your music right away (I use Ableton). Keys are small if you have big hands (I wear XL gloves) but totally playable plus how else can you fit a sufficient number of keys on such a compact keyboard. 8 drum pads and the up/down arrows are plenty to play basic drum beats and fire music music on Ableton. Great for beginners like me.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSpedizione velocissima, arrivata il giorno successivo all’acquisto.

    -8 encoder rotativi ovviamente programmabili

    5 stelle meritatissime

Golden Review Award: 74 From Our UsersConsidering its price, I can’t help but give this little board 5 stars. I’m no pianist, but having a MIDI controller on my desktop in my home studio is really handy to drive drums, synths, samplers, etc. It even has transport controls on it, which would be even cooler if I didn’t already have a FaderPort for that set of functions.

It immediately made friends with Reaper (after a download/install from Nektar’s website), allowing me to use the transport controls and the fader as if it were a control surface. Pretty neat!

Keys feel good to me as a non-pianist. The drum pads feel good and sturdy as well. Knobs all feel good, although they’re definitely in that budget-gear range of quality. The housing itself is sturdy, but plastic. The mod and pitch wheels offer an acceptable amount of resistance, and the transport buttons feel about the same as my FaderPort, which means they’re just “fine”.

One thing that I have to commend Nektar for is the inclusion of a full-color, full-size user manual that goes into detail about every function that this keyboard is capable of. That’s becoming way too rare these days, so I really appreciate the extra effort that they put into the manual for an entry-level piece of gear.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to get into working in DAWs. I had zero experience prior. I used the included copy of Bitwig 8-Track and found it pretty easy to use. The device itself is solidly built. The knobs/keys/pads are able to be assigned through whatever DAW you’re using. Definitely recommend if someone is new and looking for something small to start with. I also recently started playing with Reason 10, it was not detected section but I have been able ot use it just the same.

So far I’m a big fan. I wasn’t expecting much out of the drum pads but they’re very responsive so far. Seems like this should be at least $150 dollars so at the price and quality, I’m very happy.

Golden Review Award: 56 From Our UsersThis review is for the Nektar IMPACT LX25+ MIDI Controller keyboard.

I’m new to Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), but I wanted something simple and inexpensive to make noises and record tracks using my home computer. I also needed a midi controller that comes with the DAW software. The Nektar Impact LX25+ comes with a code for a download of the Bitwig 8-Track studio software (lite version), which is sufficient for my needs.

One thing I especially like about the software is that it isn’t “bloatware”; downloads are straightforward, the installation is clean, and there’s no other drivers or other annoyances to download. One big shortcoming, however, is that I haven’t found a quick-start guide for the complete noob. If you’re new to DAWs, this can be very confusing. Configuring the software to make any noise at all can be frustrating. The manuals included with the keyboard controller aren’t helpful. The on-line documentation is far better, and after some reading I started to figure it out. I’m attaching a video which may help other beginners.

As far as the controller itself, it is solid, and the keys, knobs and pads have a nice feel. The keys are full size. If I had a complaint, it’s that the keys are too stiff and springy, I was really hoping for a lighter touch. But at a $100 price point I wasn’t expecting a Steinway.

I haven’t really begun to explore all the features of the keyboard controller and software, but so far I’m very pleased.

Deserves 4 stars just for doing what it’s supposed to and being fairly priced. I gave it 5 stars because I had a question for tech support and Nektar was on top of it immediately.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI am not a professional musician, though I do gig a bit, nor am I a pianist, so consider this review within that context. That said, I really love this MIDI controller. I was originally going to go with the AKAI MPK mini, which is quite a bit more transportable, but this won me over for a couple of reasons:

    – it has full-sized keys
    – it integrates rather seamlessly with most DAWs (I mainly use GarageBand–told you, I’m not a professional–but have toyed around with Cubase and Bitwig)
    – it can be powered by an iPad with the appropriate Lightning to USB adapter

I also considered the Novation Launchkey 25, but it was bigger and more expensive.

I mainly bought it around to “doodle” on, but also to do note entry in Finale. It works well for all of these, and due to it’s relatively small size, I can pretty much bring it anywhere. It easily connects to both my iPad and my Mac, with little to no configuration required.

The only cons I have experienced are minor:

    – it would be nice if the keys were piano weighted, but that would make it heaver, obviously
    – the keys themselves are a bit wiggly, but operate well

Overall all, though, this is a great controller, and great bang for the buck.

It’s larger and sturdier than I expected. Negative side to that is it won’t fit in my backpack easily like I thought it might, especially with my laptop in there as well. That’s on me for not researching the dimensions though. Overall this is a great deal for a compact semi-portable midi keyboard.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI’ve only spent 2 days playing on this and I already want the 88 key version.
It controls Studio One very well. Great for traveling. It fit neatly in my carryon luggage, along with my interface and Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The keys are pretty good considering almost no midi controller on the market truly has a good keybed. (No… Akai, Novation, MAudio, none of these are a good keybed. Even Novation with the Fatar keys is not good. Want proof? Play a real workstation like a Yamaha Motif, Roland Fantom, etc etc… those are good keybeds.) But I’m very happy with this purchase. I would sell off my Akai Advance 61 if I didn’t like the VIP software.

The price is also a steal.
