    Easy set up..
Bought this product as stated free storage where I was paying for my other cctv cameras. But 2 days in keep getting reminders 13 days trail expires and 2.49 to boost to record more than 12 seconds. Doesn’t state i MUST pay to keep using at 12 seconds record, but looking at reviews afterwards its a new charge that others have to pay. Not sure if it’s one charge for all 3 camera’s or each… we will see.

    Value for money
After 7days 1min free recordings is no longer available, you’ll get 12 secs. If you want 1min you have to pay a subscription.
I wouldn’t say it captures every motion but most. Make sure you have a good WiFi connection as you find that at time’s you’ll get an unable to connect message.
I mainly use it to see where deliveries are left and when they arrived.

    Great for the price
Great little budget cameras, so easy to set up and good for the price. The night vision is actually great quality and far better than my more expensive logitech cameras. The only negative is the short cable that come with the camera. It is just barely long enough to reach from the plug socket to the camera if you are mounting at the top of wall just below ceiling, they are also thick and white so not ideal if you are trying to set the camera up to be unobtrusive

Good features hardware and software well designed and manufactured
Hooked up a power bank that lasts a day if power is lost. Really great features using as a security cam the only thing I would say is that what is the point of haveing an SD slot that could record two weeks or a month like other cameras which are a fraction of this value camera to just record 12 second clips, which wipe however long? Might last decades or a century. That is the only feature I think is missing as it would be nice to have this feature for obvious reasons. I have basically turned my camera in a 700 Arlo camera with a usb power bank. So along with the magnetic plate cam move my camera around and have it also monitor my drive quite easily, hopefully the developers can somehow implement constant record to SD card into the software. The software is well made and the features are great not like some of those crap chinese poorly made interfaces. The settings and preferences are amazing like the auto geo fencing setting alarm, mobile viewing, sound and motion alarm sensitivity and sharing recordings, notifications of triggers and recordings to play back, adding cameras and sharing live view is also a bonus, cloud storage amazing, boost easy to access and good value considering arlo you have to opt into just to use it which I think is unfair considering you already have to fork out for Wi fi. I have managed to connect a Mi-Fi device network so added bonus for me, the features are reliability are well beyond those of the cheaper Far Eastern Chinese ones so not even comparable in my opinion, Face ID is also amazing but not yet used, two way audio is great.

Setting up was a piece of cake, I gave the other one to someone else and set it up for them too.

Great piece of technology well worth its value for features, hardware I would say well designed and made, magnetic base great idea and having the ability to swivel is a great idea for positioning. Night vision is also very clear.

Really happy with it so far just wished they utilised the SD card a bit more. I am not even sure many thanks recodrings do not save to it but you can not play back the recordings from it which I know a 64gb card can record a month into incase you want more the 13 second clips or recordings, which are useful but if you have a lot of activity going back over them can show you even if your camera was not recording for some strange reason which I think is also important.

I trust this camera to keep me informed
    Used while away

it’s easy to set up and descreet

The app works well , however, I get the occasional false alert from what looks to be some electrical interface. Slight heart attack.

The quality of the video is good enough to see what’s going on , and pause on a face if close by.

Other than that it’s great, and hopefully will never have properly test it !

Also, it feels durable enough to last a few years.

Small camera but perfect quality pictures
This is a fabulous gadget its quite small and easy to set up, just download the app and then pair it to your wifi, you can put it in any room or have it pointing outside to cover the garden which is why i have it, you can add an sd card so you can download and watch back and the picture is crystal clear, it detects every movement and sound you can also alter the sensitivity, or turn off the sound completely, the only thing that isnt good is the night vision its very grainy and you cannot see much, however if you turn off the night vision and just use without its a perfect picture day or night, you also get a boost pack which lasts for 14 days and then you need to pay if you want to keep it, its for 1 minute clips , in my opinion you don’t need this added extra, i love this little gadget and bought a few of them.

Great little security cam - UPDATE
Good security cam for the price. Setup was pretty easy and no major issues. Once or twice the camera sensitivity resets to low but other than that the quality of footage is great

Update – after getting a error timeout on the app, its useless. Can’t reset it, can’t create new profile and get access to camera. Nothing works so in the bin it goes!

Great cheap security camera solution, lacking some important functionalities that were promised.
Great little security camera with overall good performance, however I will only give it 4 stars because of 2 vital functionalities that have been promised and not implemented to date. 1. Lack of integration to Google Home ecosystem. 2. The lack of ability to view recorded footage on the SD card via thre Neos Smarthome App.

Price vs Quality = V Good
for the low price this is actually a pretty amazing bit of kit . to be able to go on holiday and view your home or look out the back window or door without opening the curtains . keep and eye on the dog , the garage etc . Caught a badger , a family of foxes and a the neighbour stealing my vegetables . best 20 quid I spent . easy to set up and powered by a usb. I powered on a battery pack and in my van as well. useful bit of kit ! clear picture audio feedback, 12 sec recordings automatically records on noise or motion to a cloud . option to upgrade to longer by monthly sub . not seen the need so far though .

    Doesn't miss a heartbeat....
Arrived promptly in well designed packaging. Full instructions, good english and diagram and soooooo many (Glowing) YouTube review’s & unboxing videos that I am not going to even bother (to post an image or video) I will say that I work as a private investigator and these smartcam are top notch. If you want my short review – here it is – BUY THEM. If you are still unsure don’t buy anything because you will never be convinced – not matter the product.

Yes I could conceal them and squirrel away in a covert location and get the footage (any footage) required by attaching to a power-bank (to supply power for a couple of day’s) Having said that their primary purpose is as a security cam for which they are superbly specc’d. Yes you could improve…….but that would increase the price. Just a point here that many people were saying that these are cheaper via the suppliers own website. I found they were adverting at 10.00 more for 2 pack than Amazon were selling. Not a big deal but Amazon currently appear cheapest (May 2020) Having stated that I still believe they are a good deal either via the Neos Smartcam website or via Amazon.

You can be tech savvie or tech dumb these are easy to set-up and operate and cheap to boot. What not to like?

Sturdy, easy to set up, value for money
Easy to set up with the step through instructions.. Easy to mount on wall with the metal disc that sticks where u want it and then the camera connects to it magnetically…. Would be nice to get 2 of the metal discs as occasionally I’d like to move the camera but I’d be being picky if I though that was a negative…

Reccomended by my brother and he wasn’t wrong

    Great quality for the price

    Good quality camera
Quick and easy setup image quality is o, app is a bit clunky and needs to be messed with a bit to get it to work for me it seems to lock up and needs to be exited before it will access live view, not really a hardship the detection is also very slow to notify when it detects movement, but I expected that all in all good value.

    Does the job
Can’t fault this product for the price. I have this looking out of my front window looking over my car and front door. I can see who is knocking at my door and what is going on outside wherever I am with the app on my phone.
I mainly wanted something cheap but visible in my window as a deterrent. This does the job, and the video quality is ok.
However if you need a camera to record for long periods, maybe spend a bit more and get a higher spec camera.

    Simple and Practical!
Brilliant addition to the house. Ensures we can check what’s going on live. Although more features would be gained from the premium option that wasn’t required for our needs. We even went ahead and bought a second one.

You may have to turn your camera sensitivity down a little as noise from other parts of the house triggered notifications.

    Great so fa
Great little camera, does the job nicely, I think the noise quality on recordings could be improved to reduce noise feedback and when speaking through the camera the speach sounds robotic. I had some trouble setting it up as I inputted my address incorrectly, I thought my internet wasn’t connecting because the cause of set up failure wasn’t clear, happy I managed to figure it out. I’m impressed with the motion detection and sensitivity of the camera, the night vision is quite clear. Picture quality could be improved but for the price it’s an excellent product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFantastic value - only issue is no remote playback of footage stored on sd card
This is a no brainier, if you want an internal camera for your home.
There really isn’t much it can be faulted on, cloud storage is limited by about by a short time but this is free can be extended with a subscription of 2.50 a month (up to 4 camera I think).
Picture quality is great and setup is easy.
The only negative I have is that the camera is exactly the same as the Wyze camera, except for the firmware and software that Neos use that is different, and Neos have not yet written a firmware/software update to allow there cameras to view stored footage on SD card (bought separately), something that the Wyze camera has been able to do for ages. If you want to watch footage stored on the internal SD, you have to take it out of the camera and watch on your PC. Neo’s has said they are working on this for many months, should be a very easy fix…….. Maybe they don’t want to activate it because they want people to subscribe to there 2.50 service, which is fair enough, but how about activating this for people who do subscribe to the 2.50 service???

This camera can not be beaten at this price, Just needs Google Home intergration to be perfect!
Grate value for money. This little bad boys are great! I use this to keep an eye on the children in the living room whilst i am working in my office!

    Good points:
    – easy to setup.
    – app works good 99% of the time. Easy to use. Intuitive.
    – currently using 64GB microSD card and works perfectly I have had 1128gb with no problems
    – Night vision and motion detection works very well however the motion detection can be a little strong in some occasions
    – notifications are great and come through to your phone very quickly!
    – cannot get any cheaper! this is a low as it gets!!

    Bad points:
    – Picture quality could be a little better but is hard to argue when factoring in the cos
    – cannot view the recordings on the SDcard unless you take the card out and put it in a laptop.
    – microphone is quiet.

Overall this camera is amazing for the money, only downside is that it does not integrate with Google Home unlike it’s twin the Waze cam which does! (however is double the price).

Has to be a five star rating, other smart camera manufacturers take notice, cheap smart tech is achievable!

    Nice camera for price
This is a really nice camera for the price. The review mentioning intrusion by app is ridiculous – 1. It’s a British company not Chinese 2. The reason for storing phone details is that the app has this nice feature whereby it can automatically activate camera if the phone is away from home.

My only gripe is that the free clips are too short.

Easy to set up cameras and install the smartphone app.
Cameras give a good quality picture and wide angle of view
The basic free package is ok but you really need to pay the monthly fee to keep the “boost” features which are really necessary. That costs approx 30 a year.

Cracking little camera - provided you hack i
I should point out I didn’t even begin the setup process for this camera and judging by the other reviews it’s incredibly invasive. I can imagine what it is like from other cameras I’ve used; overpriced cloud storage for fifteen-second clips.

Alternatively, custom-firmware is available on GitHub allowing the camera to be viewed via a network stream.
I have about thirty cameras (including vastly more expensive ones than this) running through Blue Iris (one-off payment premium software) and, I admit, some parts of it were a pain in the arse and I’m a computer science student so I’m fairly tech-literate.

I had to configure Blue Iris to open the RTSP stream when it cuts out, allowing BI to reconnect, followed by BI killing the VLC process upon successfully loading the stream.

Additionally, I had to modify some of the code (Python) in the firmware to keep the infrared lights off during the automatic night-mode trigger because I wanted to solely use an IR illuminator.

Why the good review? Well for this plus a micro-SD card its about 25 and I reckon 25 and an hour-ish of your time is pretty cheap for a camera capable of BI integration and continuous 24/7 recording (again, only with cfw).

I also cannot help but anthropomorphise the little guy, he has a Pixar lamp-esque charm.

If you’re not going to mod it then don’t buy it, they’re nearly always terrible and have serious data concerns.

If you are then yeah, buy it.

    Good for indoors
I have been using this camera for almost a year now and it’s good for indoors but not recommended for outdoors

Night vision is perfect you can see very well as to who it is
It records noises and detects a moving object and alerts you straight away on your phone

Reason why I’m giving it a 4 star is because it doesn’t record 24/7 there should be an option for tha

Picture quality is fair. Good value for money at the price I bought it. Mount is limited directionally. Been using 3 for a few months now to keep an eye on elderly parent and the App is poor. Looks good but you cannot change order of cameras, pause recorded videos or view recordings stored on SD Card remotely. I often have trouble viewing the stream but the bandwidth at the property is low so that may be the reason (That said I have little trouble viewing the feed from the Nest doorbell)

Easy to set up and use and very good value.
This is the easiest camera to set up I’ve ever used and is incredibly cheap.
The picture quality is good. Motion detection is too sensitive for objects going across the field of view, but not sensitive enough for objects coming towards the camera. It also detects when the outside light comes on (mine is outside), the light being seen as movement. This can become tiresome where cats are always triggering the outside light.

The software is good, although it has constant reminders to upgrade the software to the subscription version (no real need for my use) but otherwise this camera / software does exactly what is needed for basic security around the home.

Impressed for a cheap indoor camera
Good little camera. Took a bit of work (and patience) to setup, but once up and running, it has been very reliable and has reasonable picture quality and motion detection.

It is worth paying for the subscription to allow more clips to be recorded and longer. Also means you can set a schedule for recording.

The night vision is excellently indoors, illuminating a large room, but if the area is too big (or outside) is is less effective.

My issues in setting it up were because it will only use 2.4 Gz Wifi, and if your network operates 2.4 and 5 Gz in parallel, it struggles.

Crystal clear image/video - Easy to set up - No private information required
It’s beautiful. Surprised that the video clips (live and recorded) are so crystal clear, with nice colour. I haven’t checked the night vision yet. Motion and noise detection are effective, nearly detect and send message to my phone immediately.
About the setup, I was a bit worried about the requirement of home address. However, I just found out that it’s just an option for Auto-arming. Hence, all I need is just my email address information. So happy with this purchase.
Only a minor comment that the power cord is quite short (about 1.9m) so it’s quite difficult for me to find a suitable location for it.

Almost perfect but.... (oh and security?)
Absolute breeze to set up. Motion detection and night vision is top draw. It works flawlessly. Almost to the point that you become quite addicted to checking in on what’s going on. I’m forever getting motion detection messages only to discover my cat is going mad in the kitchen. I even got some very spooky footage of a cereal box seemingly slide all by itself across a kitchen table onto the floor. Poltergeist detetor as well then! The only negative is the inability to remotely talk through it. This is a feature of the camera but any time I use this function from the phone app all people can hear is crackling, so a conversation is 100% out of the question (for me anyway).

As others have mentioned security is a grey area but it’s the same with a lot of modern technology. We live in an age where Londoners are being arrested for merely looking away from facial recognition cameras. I’m worried like everyone else, but, what can we realistically do when the masses believe that people like Boris and Donald are a good idea? The establishment’s Orwellian vision is firmly set in motion and it’s hard to avoid it. They have us electing their desires as our own and self surveilance is just another tool in their assault on our civil liberties. Why be seen inflicting it upon the people when they can just as easily have us do it to ourselves. Entertained and enthralled, here we are…

I paid 20 when it was on offer and brought two. I have a very professional set up already so Neos was just to cover little areas. I didn’t hold out on it being that good but they are fantastic for the money.

The 2.50pm subscription is worth it. Alerts you to motion when you move a set distance from the cameras and timed alerts. Motion is very spot on. I have both camera against windows looking out with night vision off due to glare from the IR but with street lights it still gives a great colour image.

    Two way audio is decent.

Good camera but with a catch
These cameras are good quality for the money you pay, however the manufacturer seems to have control over how long you can watch the replay if you do not have a micro SD card 12 seconds. Then they then Push for you to upgrade to 1 minutes at a cost. This I do not like, it is my camera and I should be able to use it as I like. Other than that I like the camera.

Dont be put off by the naysayers
First of all, I set up my camera without having to provide card details, my address or telephone number. This is an OPTION for if you want the camera to automatically arm or disarm when you leave/return home rather than you having to set it manually or to pay a monthy subscription for additional features. For the purposes I use the camera for I dont need these extra features.

The camera itself is a neat little thing that fits in nicely with the surroundings. The fitting plate I havent used but I’ve been thinking if I do use it I may use command strips rather than the adhesive pad provided so that it’s easy to move if needed.

I do find the notifications come through a little delayed if I come home and I’ve not turned the alerts off before I come in, but it’s literally seconds so this doesnt cause any issues.

The app is easy to use, although a warning to android users, the live view may not work initially, you need to make sure the time on your phone is set to automatic as a work around for this to happen. It is something they are aware of and as far as I’m aware are working on.

For the price of the camera you cant really go too far wrong. If you’re not subscribed your video notifications will be 12 seconds, but if you go on the app and into live view you can record longer from there.

Seriously thinking of getting another for the property, where I’m thinking doesnt have a power source close by, but these can be powered by power banks.

All in all I’m happy with the purchase and the price of the product, I paid much more a few years ago for a product that has since stopped working and I refused to pay the price again, especially when this does the same thing at more than half the price.

Great little cameras. Well worth the money.
These arrived on 22nd Feb 2020 and out of the box they felt like high quality. The packaging and feel are almost Apple-like. High quality items based on the Wyze Cam type cameras. They’re mains operated via an Android mini USB type cable which plugs in the back. There’s a fold out stand and magnetic self adhesive wall plate with each camera.

I ordered the twin pack but unfortunately my cameras did not work out of the box. Setup went well but the camera just wouldn’t display. In fairness to the Neos team, they made some suggestions and one of them worked. The camera must be installed on a device that uses network time. I had mine set to manual.

Once this frustration had passed it worked.

I have given this only 4 stars as despite being tech savvy and computer literate, I still needed their support which annoyed me.

Great cameras at a fantastic price, web access and live view all works great.

    Well worth it.

    Great little camera. Good price.
Neos is an excellent little camera for a great price. The image quality is great and the app fairly easy to operate. We use it as a nursery camera and in Conjunction with echo show which was easy to set up. The one thing missing would be the ability to pan and tilt the camera remotely.

Easy setup and good simple surveillance.
Excellent compact camera for basic home surveillance. Indoors only is a disappointment, but as an indoor unit the function well. The auto arming mode when my mobile phone leaves the premises works well, and the free cloud storage for recorded clips is a nice feature the competition does not have. I originally bought one unit to try out but have now bought 2 more and may increase that in the future. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a basic unit to perform simple surveillance.

Easy set up, good quality but bad after sales support.
Great camera. Easy to set up but having real problems adding another user. Customer support keep telling me what I’ve already tried and not really listening. Now I’ve not heard from them and no help in resolving my issue. Little disappointed but you get what you pay for I suppose. Camera great, customer support rubbish.

Lasted a winter - so far!
I waited to review this until it had suffered some real winter weather. Apart from snow this has dealt with two named storms and lots of rain. Still water tight and giving an excellent picture. Used with Alexa “Alexa show me the front door” and it does! There is however a 5 second delay which may be my network set up which has two routers talking to each other (usually!) – don’t know. I will update if and when it gives in. By the way used with its dedicated wall mount which helps with the weather proofing. Should really come with the mount included in the price – but that isn’t Amazon’s way of course!

    Brilliant value for money!
Such a good camera. I wanted something so I could keep an eye on my house when not around. As I wanted to cover a few areas I couldn’t justify the outlay of some of the better-known makes as they total up to a lot of money. When I found the Neos I bought one to give it a go. Quality is great and has all the features I wanted. I have just bought my 4th one and couldn’t be happier. Great product at a great price!

    Good quality produc
For the price I wasn’t expecting much but thought it might add some quick simple extra security. I was very pleased with the quality of the Neos Cam once opened the box. Very quick and simple to set up. I ordered one to place inside my garage. It connected to the house wifi no problem. I think the image on the night vision is good. I ordered a 2nd one straight away and intend to fix that up outside on my garage pointing along my driveway. Until the fully covered outdoor box arrives I have placed it pointing out of the upstairs front bedroom window. I’ve now got a 3rd one on order as i will put one round the back of my house. I like the ability to have the app on my phone and check up on all my cameras while i’m out of the house. Shame you have to pay to get more than the 12 sec video clip but I’ve not really bought them for that. I have put micro sd cards in them so they can capture the video on these. I think for the price you can’t go wrong, what’s not to like?

    Effective and excellent value
Took dozen’s of attempts to generate qr code and connect to WiFi but did work with perseverance. Did a firmware update but never came back online. Had to go through the pairing process again lots of times. Motion detection I’d very effective, perhaps a little too much for how we have located it. App is basic but very impressed with the performance once it was all setup. Great value for money and have already recommended to colleagues.

    Quality
I absolutely love this camera. Having originally dismissed the need for a video monitor for my baby, I found myself getting paranoid if he went for a nap and slept a little longer than normal and woke him up sometimes if I wanted to sneakily check on him! Recently we’ve put him in his own room and it’s been fab being able to check on him whenever I feel like it. Camera quality is excellent, love that I can record footage or take pics, and also handy when he stirs during the night to see if he’s settling ok. Handy app that always loads ok, night vision is good and works. Packaging is neat too. Overall a great wee camera

    Cheap Home Camera
well what can i say .. amazing little Home Security Camera .. so tiny it shocked me .. the pic quality is amazing through the App and the App is easy to use .. Im going to get a Micro SD card 32GB so i can record 24 hours .. (2-3) days then it records over previoius recordings. only Con is Sound Quality when reviewing all i hear is crackling and when reviewing live feed it crackles ..but what can you expect for the price. For me this does not dilute the product .. its still and excellent unit, Would defo buy another one if i need it .
Edit : im a little dissapointed in the hike in price to 29.99 now , what have you implimented in to the product thats worth the 5 increase in price .. i havent noticed anything . are you getting a little greedy now ? this product is definitely not worth 30 as it is, 20 – 25 i was happy with but not 30

    Cam again.
I have two of these. They are very impressive for the price and size. I think the picture quality could be a bit better but they’re very good. You can see most things in good detail and they capture even slight movements. Switching a light on, moving curtain, even shadows trigger them. The app is easy to download and use although sometimes the connection isn’t the best. When switching from one camera to the next on the app, if you do it too quickly, it’ll ask you to reconnect. I wait a few seconds before switching because of that. Irritating obviously but otherwise they’re fine. They pick up sound quite well although there’s a very slight lag between the sound and picture. They’re not so good at hearing what you say when you speak through the app as it’s a bit muffled but you can still understand what’s being said. The position is fixed but they have quite a wide angle view so you’ll see most things from wherever you position them. Set up was very easy and straightforward too. Took around two minutes from plugging one in to having it working. Just download the app first to make it faster setting up. I’m pleased with them and would recommend them.

Really happy with this will get another.
Great little camera been wanting another camera where you can turn night vision off as having a glare from the window. I have another brand that I have on the landing window ledge and have it on day mode all the time and the pictures are great from it.
Tried 2 other brands before this to put in front bedroom of my house but you couldn’t turn night vision off.
So when I found this I thought I would get it and very happy with it, has having a lot of problems around my area, I live alone with 2 dogs so these cameras are a just what’s needed along with me having pir lights fitted. I live in a private rented house and I dont know if the landlords would allow me/ or them be willing to put outside security cctv cameras on.

Picture quality is great, as is the night vision. The only thing that needs real improving is the two way microphone. A: it’s far too quiet. B: It’s quite laggy when talking to something through the cam. It often breaks up. Improve on that and this cam is perfect!

Used as Baby Monitor - love this
We had an issue whereby our 12 month old would sleep in her crib but would sit upright waiting for either mummy or daddy to come for her. She was be drifting off in that position but as she would drop her head she would flinch back up (most likely having that falling feeling). But she was never sleeping because of it – she was half in, half out of sleep.
Everytime peeped into her room, she would know we were there because of the floor creek or slightest of light from outside her room suddenly making her room brighter – so she would open her eyes wide open! This would go on for 3 hours – she wasnt sleeping when she should!
So we got a cam – so we could monitor her, so rather than peek into her room and make noise or let in light, the camera could show us! She eventually began laying down and now we can see when she is comfortable / uncomfortable.
In addition, because our house size, my wife and I live in bedroom downstairs and she is upstairs – so this means we dont always have to constantly get up to go and check. Means me and wife have more time together rather than start/stopping netflix everytime.
Havent used this yet as a means to monitor the house when out – but will definitely be looking at getting a 2nd and possibly 3rd in the future.
    love this device.

Really easy to set up, good value for money, easy to link to your smartphone or alexa display. Great device if you want to be able to see and hear particular room. We use ours to monitor the dogs when we’re out and it’s great as we can also talk to them if we want to calm them down. We’ve bought another one since and use it for all sorts of things. Sometimes even set it up over the stove to keep an eye on a boiling pot to save us having to wait in the kitchen as we can carry on watching a film in another room for example

    I think these are brilliant.

Re the intrusion – I didn’t have to inout my phone number or address when it asked i simply skipped that part. So i dont really see the issue that others are raising.

Night vision – this is really good. You can see in the dark just fine, i use it in kids bedroom. What more could you want. The only thing is occasionally when i think it would be light enough it remains on night vision when in the auto mode. However a small issue.
These are really dinky and non intrusive at home. Multiple ones work with the app which is great.

I used to have the much larger and ugly chinese cheap wifi cameras and much prefer these. They actually look nice.

So easy to set up and the quality is amazing. I leave music on for my dog so I was worried the sensor would be going off constantly but it seems to know the music is playing and only alerts me if my dog barks which is great.
My only negative is it will notify me if my dog moves (ie leaves the room ) it notifys me but then the dog will be back in the room and it hasn’t notified me again. This isn’t a major issue though.

I brought this rather than buying a really expensive baby monitor and to be honest I’m glad I did!! It does exactly the same as a expensive one! Works well! As I’m able to speak through the app on my phone for if she’s crying and if I’m not on the app and she moves around or makes a noise I will get a message saying the camera has picked up motion… I’m so glad I had brought this! Can’t wait to hook it up to the Alexa as well!

I am over the moon with this little camera. My daughter is autistic and has severe learning difficulties. Her behaviour is very hard to manage and if she’s left alone for more than 10 seconds she will hurt herself or break things…. Being able to keep an eye on her all the time via my phone is amazing! I’m able to hear her and she is also able to hear me if I need to speak to her. The quality of the picture is fab especially considering the camera is so cheap! Night vision is also fantastic! I couldn’t recommend this camera enough! So much so that I’m thinking of getting another couple to use as a pet cam and 1 for a security camera to look outside. 5 stars!!

    Can't go wrong for £20!
I bought this on a whim as it was down to 20 for black Friday. Very small camera that can be hidden pretty much anywhere which is very good. I’ve set mine up with a 16gb SD card a 5000mah external battery to assure that if there was a powercut it would still be fliming footage for a few hours.

Setup is very simple and takes a few minutes. I’ve only used the included magnetic to hold it in place which so far seems to be doing a good job. The audio works well and can be heard from where I’ve placed it. Night vision is ok and works for me.

Overall it’s a 20 camera that doesn’t require a subscription and can record in 1080p, what’s not to like!

    Fantastic camera for the price..
You may have seen all the hype for this camera on social media and YouTube. I decided to give it a go and see what it was like and I have to say it’s incredible.

For the money I paid I couldn’t give it less than 5 stars. Admittedly the camera isn’t crystal clear, but for the money. It excels expectation.

Motion sensing is great and you can see with green boxes exactly where the motion triggered.

Night vision is very good and I would say it’s just as good as other expensive night vision cameras.

Finally the app is good. Straight forward to set the device up, using the app is easy and you can set the camera alert system as Armed so you will only receive notification when this is set.

Overall a fantastic camera, I imagine the price will eventually go up from 29.99 so it would be my advise to buy!

The term “it just works” has never been more fitting as that is just what it does it works. The picture quality is more than adequate. Had it delivered, setup and working in the morning before going on holiday so we could keep an eye on our house from Spain! so good we bought another one and used it to keep an eye on the dog whilst we are out after he had been ill. Online support is excellent as well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt just works, ignore reviews talking about privacy issues (details below
This little camera has been unfairly maligned in some of the reviews here.. Or the company has taken note and changed its settings [Nov 19]. Its a buy, please read on for a detailed comment on each feature, and do kindly mark this review helpful if you find it so. I normally don’t write this long reviews but someone’s got to correct the record

    0) Overall – if you are buying a cheap camera, please make it this one, and not something shipped over by a company based outside the EU which doesn’t have to comply with local laws or at least EU law isn’t easily enforceable. It ticks almost all the boxes, and you can be assured that coming from an eternal gadget geek, it works for me.

    1) privacy – [TICK] no it does not want your address. See my screenshot of the made up address I put in. If you want to use geofencing and auto arming when you leave home etc, of course they need to know your location and where your home is.. I didnt turn that feature on. I only had to out my email and phone number, which is standard for most online logins with OTP being sent to your phone etc..

    2) Security – [TICK] I haven’t done an indepth ‘phone home’ analysis of the camera sofware but was easily able to turn cloud recording, noise detection etc. off in the app. Obviously to access the stream on your phone while you are out and about, the data does have to go through their servers. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will post a review of their encryption standards, but I for one feel much better know this is a UK based company that has to comply with EU law… Even though the hardware is obv China made.

    3) Setup – [TICK] very straight forward, do make sure your router SSID (WiFi name) is different for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks, so something like mywifi-2g and mywifi-5g etc., as the device is not 5g compatible..most cameras arent.
The instructions are very clear. You have to get the app, setup an account, turn the camera on, give it the WiFi details via the app (granted this always makes me nervous… But I think they are sent to camera via a direct connection and are not later stored in the cloud.. As I had to put it in again for every setup). The camera then connects to Neos and registers itself. There are voice prompts from the camera to keep you updated.
NOTE: if you have the highest (paranoid) level setting on your router firewall, the camera will be blocked. I had this, my Nest cam got setup OK but always had small issues on streaming data to my phone when not on 4g. This ‘high’ setting also blocked some Amazon Alexa features, voip, WhatsApp video calls…so Neos are not alone. Facetime (apple) did keep working flawlessly, and so did Google Hangouts at that security level which blocks almost all incoming connections at all ports. But if you want to use most of the Internet, you’ll have have to decide for yourself. Your router will have the setting at medium as default, and most router makers will recommend the medium setting. When you have IoT devices in the home, your firewall is the last defence.. Please take this seriously and only change settings if you know what you are doing. NEVER have it at low or turned off. Anyways back to the camera..

    4) image quality – [TICK] I use it indoors, it is full 1080p and is comparable to my Nest cam. Both in day mode and in night mode. The camera field of view is enough to cover a 100sq foot area relatively well, similar to nest cam (sorry i am not putting pics of this, but rest assured it holds its own, given its price, with Nest, which is the defacto standard in consumer cameras for me)

    5) sound – [TICK-ish] it’s OK. And the two-way chat is slightly laggy but manegable. I have a ‘geek’ level Internet connection with mega bandwidth (multi-100mbps) both down/up-load so it’s not that. I think it’s the cloud capacity deployed on the neos app. The Nest cam on the same WiFi network had no stutter in two-way speech.

    6) Smart home – [TICK?] Alexa, Google home etc.. Now amazon sell this in a package with their echos (that’s how I first got it), so you do expect it to be compatible. It is. I don’t have Google’s hub, only the minis so I cannot comment. Note you can enable the Google assistant ON your nest cam and talk to it, like an extra speaker! This does not do that with Alex, is merely compatible with alexa skills and let’s me say things like ‘show me xxx camera’, to get a pleasing view on my echo show or fire TV etc..
NOTE: their alexa streaming has had a few issues over the last few days, BUT the company keeps you updated in the app (see screenshot) and tells you what is going on. Their own app kept working without interruptions and I could see the camera feed on my phone. Now this is annoying, but I haven’t dropped a star – mainly because of the price…I can get 5 of these cams for one Nest. Also, they kept me informed, and their core app kept working all the time.. So unless this is an extended disruption to Alexa for Neos, I’ll put up with it..

    7) Attachments – [TICK] the micro USB cable is long enough. You can only use theirs or a similarly thin one cause of the recessed port. The wall attachment is very handy. The camera has magnetic feet so will happily sit securely on top of my fridge without attachments.

    8) Build – [TICK] plastic but pleasing functional design (for me at least). The magnetic feet are just about strong enough to hold it in place and the hinge is solid to have it angled and not slip.

    9) misc – [TICK] what is with the insurance company website?! Well, if you check it out, it does make sense. Looks like an insurance startup who give smart devices with their policies realised, hey we could sell these things and use the cloud capacity / infra /app investment we are putting in for our insurance customers to have less idle time etc.. Lets also sell our cameras, maybe we can do it cheaper than most others. So this isn’t from their FAQs, but if i was doing a startup like this, I’d have thought the same. Fair enough. If anything, I like that the company selling the cam is also an insurance provider and has to deal with all the regulation that entails in the UK. You can use the cam they supply with the policy directly in the Neos standalone app according to thei FAQs. I haven’t got their policy so can’t attest to it.. But I might get a quote from these lot too at my next renewal!

    10) this is an indoor camera – the porch may be OK (fingers crossed for the foggy nights), but nothing where it can get moisture and certainly nothing where the overhead protection is not adequate.

    12) SD card – [TICK? ] I haven’t tested loop recording but seems to read the 32GB sd card fine

Good price, easy to setup and great picture quality.
Works great, Android app and IOS app both very similar and work well.
Picture quality is excellent, and was very straight forward to setup.
I only have one for now but will probably buy more and pay the subscription as its a good security solution.
Only complaint is when I use it on my Amazon echo show the picture is delayed approximately 3-5 seconds, but on the phone app is pretty much real time with very little delay.
I needed to replace baby monitor as battery died, this isn’t the best solution as a baby monitor in honesty as unless you have the app open it can take a few seconds to receive a notification and open up the app.
Not a criticism of the camera or service, just a fact that a video baby monitor is better for this purpose, but if you’re child is older and you just like to check in periodically then it’s great.

Night Vision is good, motion detection is good and will record 60 second clips without requiring a subscription but can record longer with the subscription.
To be clear, subscription is optional and not required to use the camera and app.

2 way talk function also works well with minimal delays.

All in all happy customer and will probably buy some more to use around the house.
Looks pretty cool too compared to other products I’ve used, very small and compact.

Great Value - High Quality - low price
I’m always trying to wait a bit till I leave the review of the product so after months of having one I decided to purchase another 2 on black Friday as they’ve been on even better offer.
Right for 25 you would not expect much right? but honestly for that price this camera blows a mind.
I have it placed in 3 different location around my apartment, which one location it’s slightly poor in wifi signal but camera still works well.
Night vision is alright, got good distance of view and quality ain’t that bad.
streaming to your phone? works fine, although if you put down app and then come back it shows that can’t connect to camera but it’s enough to go back to main interface and go back to camera and it works fine, haven’t even got much latency but that’s may vary of your internet quality.
12 sec clips when motion/sound detected, it’s not bad and can be extended to 60sec when paid subscription which is around 3/month which isn’t bad either, I’ve got them mostly to watch my cat while we’re away for few days. and for that reason they are great.
why only 4 stars for motion detection? in daylight it works great, but on night vision not necessary, you can see cat moving in a background but it won’t detect it until it will get close enough or his eyes will reflect ir light back to cam.
But I’m happy with them, so ended up with 3 after few weeks of checking just one… and can recommend it to anyone who does not expect it to recognise the faces, but give you simply insight/view into what’s happening at the moment in your household etc.

And reviews about address requesting issue? well when I sign up, I didn’t wanted to arm it automatically so I had choice to do not provide my location info, so clearly you’ve got choice on this one, and even so I wouldn’t be so worry, if someone would like to grab you address in most countries it’s public information anyway and your phone tracking you 24/7 anyway… and from what I have found Neos is some sort of home insurance company, that you can use their services so I guess those cam are mainly the addon to service, and to make them cheaper they just selling them also separately. Have fun and enjoy 😉

They replaced Motorola Focus 35 cameras, which are getting tired.

The App is simple to use and video plays back well. You can record from your mobile, share access, toggle night vision and do generally everything you need (as an amateur for DIY).

There are, however some absent features. You should be able to view on an Echo. Unlike Ring, you can’t set ‘when neos senses movement’s do X either. The former doesn’t work, the latter isn’t an option.

Also, they’ve emailed re pricing of the premium package, its all over the place. Last month one price, this month another, with a whole new pricing structure for 2020. Crazy.

    Not quite Wyze
Very good camera for the money. With an SD card you have 24/7 coverage and the free cloud storage provides enough to be confident you’ll capture “most” things. Not a perfect system but the app is being updated so unfair to judge the software too much. The hardware itself is very good and the night vision is almost better quality than the day, though it does make an audible click every time it switches to night mode. The picture quality leaves a little to be desired but does work.

You’d probably be better off with a higher end camera set up if you were serious about home security but I’m happy this does an adequate job for internally and suits me perfect as a nursery camera.

Unexpected high quality for the price
Before I review the product can I address the other reviews I have seen on here about the intrusive information required during setup.
A lot of people complain it needs your address and phone location and ask why this is needed.
These cameras have an auto arming feature. When they detect your device (phone location info) leaving your property (home address info) they will auto arm and when you come home they will disarm. (Or you can manually switch this).
This is a feature of these cameras and that info is adjustable in the settings. If you do not want this to work and are concerned about your privacy then put generic info in the boxes. They do not verify the information. Your email address is required to use the download and view uploaded videos that they store for FREE on their remote servers for your security. The same as any site that requires a login to access data.
Also, to the people complaining about this, you are happy to upload videos of the inside of your home and the activity therein to their servers but get upset that they need your phone number as part of the registration process?? Most online accounts use a phone number backup for password reset confirmation codes etc..
Now that is out of the way..
I had a 500 arlo cctv system which I bought on amazon prior to this camera. It was ok.. but heavy maintenance, charging units, constant upgrades, firmware and app etc. And it was no better than these cameras with a very similar user interface and features.
I bought one of these to see what it was like and within 24 hours we bought 2 more they were so good. Zone selection, 2 way audio, very good clear room coverage, auto night vision, adjustable noise and motion sensitivity etc.
Set up was extremely easy but I had to quickly google how to set the devices up with Alexa show. This works really well but I have yet to discover if 2 way audio works with alexa show.. as yet i cannot use it to send audio to the camera, but can watch and listen to the cameras on the show. But this feature works well through the phone app.
The whole setup has worked so well I have now removed my expensive arlo system, bought sd cards for the neos cams for constant footage backup and even subscribed to neos boost. A couple of pounds a month for extended off site footage on their servers.
Overall, really happy but I hope they opt to include an outdoor cam soon so I can cover external areas all in the one app. This is sadly still a lacking addition.

    Extremely Impressed With This Device
I purchased my first one about a week ago and after spending a short time getting it to work to my satisfaction I experimented with it in different locations in my house.
I was so impressed that a couple of days ago I purchased a second camera that has performed in a similar manner to the first one.
The only hitch I have encountered so far is a recent failure to be able to connect to Alexa via an Amazon Fire Stick, but this was only a gimmick for me, as I use the cameras with my smartphones which works very well.
    UPDATE 9th Dec.
Alexa connection problem sorted and now working fine on both my cameras.

After researching the manufacturer and associated insurance company, I decided to get a quote for my building and contents cover which was very competitive, especially with a 20% reduction for using the cameras.
When my renewal date is due, I think they will be very high up my shortlist.

Great device, but apps need updating.
Love this thing so far, only downside is the iOS app is in serious need up updating and there’s no ipad version for some reason….
I had to turn the night vision off as I have the camera looking through a window, so when the ir is on all you can see it the reflection of the lights, but as I’m pointing it at my driveway and there are street lights I can see really well, though if you have this in a room I would think the night vision would be great.

Easy to set up – and I am tech challenged! I didn’t have to enter personal details, so possibly Neos have changed the process?? The camera is well designed, small and build quality is good. The app generally works well, picture quality and the sound of the recorded clips is impressive for under 20!! You can record out of a window, but needs to be placed very close to avoid reflection at night. I have recommended to friends and they are also happy with their purchase.

    Cheap baby cam anyone?
I had problems with a time out connection during setup, this was due to me downloaded the Wyze app instead of the Neos after the Neos apps was correctly installed setup was a breeze.

I currently have it linked to a Fire 8 tablet on the charging dock with Show mode enabled “Alex show me the front door”. Wait a few seconds and it displays on the tablet. So far it’s been flawless apart from the slight delay but that’s due to the WiFi connection, the picture quality is good both night and day. So if you need it for a cheap nanny cam it would do the job.
I may flash the RSTP firmware at a later point.

As others have commented the setup requires some personal information, things like email are mandatory for the registration link, but name and address umm… Not too sure about that how about? Mr M Mouse at 123 Sesame street that’ll work.
For a cheap camera that’s Alexa compatible it’s flipping awesome.

Vary good value and easy to use.
Vary good product, was easy to set up, it can’t be set up on a 5G network so slight downside but as more and more stuff transfer to 5G it will start to declutter the 2.4G network.
Just have to make sure you have a 2.4G network.

App is good and easy to use, very simple to alter sensitivity’s of motion and noice detection plus easy to flip picture for when camera is mounted upside down.

Plus it syncs to Alexa, so can see feeds on fire TVs and echo shows.

    Five stars in all categories!

I already have two Nest Cams for outdoor use that are considerably more expensive than this (and require an ongoing subscription too). While it’s true this only for indoor use so is not as robust as a Nest Cam, in pretty much every other respect this is equally good and comes for an almost “throw away” price. Incredible value for money and HIGHLY recommended.

The way the motion detection is presented (rectangle on image to see what it has spotted moving) is actually better than Nest – it’s good to know what the camera was “thinking”.

The Android app is also pretty good – again does a lot of things similar to Nest.

Great little cam does so much for 25.00 Im writing this review after seeing alot of people cant connect to fire stick or show. heres the secret

When setting up the cam you can name it , mine was called kitchen. Trying to connect through my Firestick caused major problems, although it was all paired and i could see the cam on my phone app. Saying ” Alexa show me kitchen ” just didnt work.

Now if you look at the camera settings, little cog on top right of the Neos App. Scroll down to Camera Name.

    Device Name = Smartcam
    Room = Kitchen

So Alexa wants to hear “Alexa show me Kitchen Smartcam” and bang 5 seconds and my cam is on a 32 inch TV. Note that both above names can be changed.

Hope this helps any of you having trouble connecting.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat camera for the price.
I purchased this camera about a week ago, and i must say I’m pretty impressed the picture quality in the day is very good and the motion detection for movement and sound are also good but a bit sensitive.

I purchased an outdoor housing for it and put it outside facing my back door, I did add some sealant where the wire comes out and where it screws together just to be on the safe side.

Overall rating: I’ve given it a 5 because for the price it costs it’s amazing.

Night vision: I’ve given it a 4 because the night vision works fine close up but unless I have my security lights on I can’t see the top of the garden.(not really a problem as I have a full cctv security camera system as well.)

Motion detection: I’ve given it a 5 I have it set to the lowest sensitivity which seems fine, it does pick noise from a noisy motorbikes going past and the wind if it’s a windy day.(not a problem)

Picture quality: I’ve given it a 5 The day time picture is superb but again the night time is not so good but that might be me I’m used to looking at a higher resolution picture with my main system.

For the price of this camera it’s brilliant, I set mine up on a tablet and got the option to use location for auto arming I didn’t use it and it works fine.

You really can’t go wrong with this Camera. I use this in the kitchen to keep an eye on my dog whilst im at work. It connects within seconds, and gives a really good quality stream. Its actually better than my RING camera outside it terms of picture quality. A feature I like is how the camera Arms itself when you leave the house; it knows you’re away so it will ping you a notification if it sees movement or noise. I was going to buy the RING camera at 90 but decided to give this one a go since it was so cheap but wasn’t expecting these results. The only problem I would say is the microphone isn’t the greatest and the night vision is reasonably ok; but apart from that I can’t fault it!

Good camera but some caveats - remember it's indoor only also.
Great quality camera for the money, app is good but a bit buggy & only records 10 second clips without a monthly subscription. From what I can see this is like Wyze cameras sold in USA but less features in the software. As a security device I’m not sure how good only 10 second clips would be, but as a kid or pet camera, it’s a great solution, especially as you can talk back.

Great camera, great pic, app functionality and night vision.
My first camera. I have it watching outside my windows from the inside. It works brilliant.

During the day when we are at home, it just takes pics of constant movement.
It auto detects when we have left the house and then arms itself, taking videos of moving people and cars in the area.
You can arm it manually before bed.

You can also record live to your phone from the app as well as recording constantly to an sd card.

People in other reviews give out because of privacy concerns but to be honest they are unfounded.
The devices function is to arm itself based on your location so naturally its going to need gps access on your phone to do this. This is completely optional.
It also looks for your address for its location which again is optional.
If you are concerned about privacy then you can just setup the account and do no more than that.
I use all the features and it is great but then again I dont wear a tin foil hat so it is easy for me to do.
I gave it four stars for one reason and that is because of the setup.
The app scans for the closest ssid and auto populates it in the setup. The issue I had with this is that the ssid it populated was for the 5.8ghz wifi which the device is not capable of doing, so why it detected it is a mystery. The setup would fail until I worked out what was going on. As soon as I changed it to the 2.4GHZ ssid, setup worked immediately. The company should change the setup to display all networks so you could select the correct one.
Great product, going to buy another.

Very impressed - 5 stars from me
I am so impressed with this little camera! The picture quality is amazing for the price. Download the app, follow the on screen instructions, setup is simple and quick and it works very well. I have it pointed out of my front window because I wanted it for security and also to see what wildlife passes by.
It easily picks up neighbours coming and going in their cars and the postman coming up the drive. As others have said there are reflections if you point the camera through a window at night – I will play around with positioning, maybe if I can get the camera flush with the window this would be reduced but I will still be able to see any intruders or wildlife
For the money this is an amazing little camera. I have wanted one for ages but could not really justify the price tag if the more expensive models but I am so happy with this
It detects noise as well as motion so if the tv is on or we are speaking or coughing it alerts us – doing its job and I can see that I can adjust the sensitivity if I want to, which I may well do
I have had it less than a day but it seems good quality and I am very happy with it 🙂
