Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs this was my first purchase of any kind of ‘security camera’, my two main considerations were the cost and whether it was suitable for the purpose I intended. This camera seemed to address both.
Initially, I came across a problem connecting it to my wi-fi. I have a ‘dual’ 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz router and the camera just refused to connect. After speaking to the online chat service the problem was left as a query with the technical department to get back to me by email. In the meantime however, although I am no technical expert by any means, I ‘knew’ that sometimes it helps if you can change the ‘channel’ in the router settings. Confident that I could revert to the original settings if necessary, I proceeded to change the channel of the 2.4 GHz settings in my hub manager. Perhaps more by luck than judgment this actually worked and it connected without a problem!
Apart from this initial challenge my opinion of the camera is very favourable bearing in mind I knew exactly what I expected for the price I was paying. So far, it has more than lived up to my expectations:
It seems of fairly sturdy construction.
    It’s a very pleasant design.
It functions as described by the manufacturer.
The images (720p) are absolutely fine for my purposes.
The option of retaining recorded footage on an SD card (up to 128G) is also fine for my purpose.
All in all it represents good value for money.

The only thing I can’t comment on until the passage of time is its durability. However, I am an optimist and there are no indications so far that this is likely be a problem.

Wow … I’m new at setting up cameras in the house but as I needed one to give me extra assurances my home was ok while I visited family and Friends away I bought this .

It arrived really quickly and i was able to followed the instructions to set it up.

I then downloaded the app onto my phone and was surprised as how easy is is to look at the images . The notifications can be turned on and off and so far there have been no issues .

    Highly recommend

Cannot recommend this range highly enough, it’s amazing!!

So easy to setup and network, we bought the first on a flash sale and have bought two more since. We now have the nursery, bedroom and outdoors synced up with incredible ease. Viewable on our iPhones and Alexa show, need to figure out the fire stick connection but that’s by the by for now. The picture quality is incredible at 1080p.

I’d never heard of netvue till now, we’d used Motorola to date but now we wouldn’t go back.

Buy buy buy… you will not be disappointed (unless you’re expectations are stupid!)

Having been considering getting a security camera for some time I was attracted to Netvue Orb 1080, in part as their literature states that your personal information is secure when using the camera. The unit is a little larger than I had expected but importantly it has a quality feel to it and doesn’t look out of place sitting on a bookcase.
Unlike several of the other reviewers it took me longer than it should have to set-up the camera. In part because whilst my router is dual band 2.4 and 5 it was not clear from the router info that that 2.4 channel needed to be specifically set-up. Have also changed router admin name and password from the supplier default to improve security. However then due to a lack of attention on my part I confused the camera by using the wrong wi fi password need I say more!. Contacted support and ‘Anna’ on the chat line was helpful and very patient – and offered to supply a replacement unit – which in the end wasn’t required.
This is because following day I decided to try again and to carefully the set-up instructions on the phone App – where I was successful in getting the camera to link to the servers. The camera App is fairly intuitive on how to use the camera and I am impressed with the quality of the image including still photos that can be snapped. Getting to grips with the motion alert functionality took a few goes. The IR lights at night are not bright may act as a further deterrent being visible in a dark room. Overall happy with the camera which has given me added piece of mind

The camera is well built and looks good. From unpacking to using the camera only took about 5 minutes. The camera alerts you when motion is detected and records. I bought a 128Gb Micro SD card for records and you can format the card by using the app which you can download easily to your phone or other computer. Infra red works great in the dark and the speakers are quite loud if you need to attract attention. Overall great value for money and a good looking product.

Bought this great camera on Amazon Prime day but as a replacement for another brand of camera, which didn’t have Alexa support.
Installation and setup was simple and without any problems, I was really impressed by the Netvue’s app which gives links to setup videos.
I was up and running in 5 minutes the camera was discovered by Alexa after I downloaded the skill.
The camera and image quality are great and I can ask Alexa to show me the video feed which plays on my TV through a conn3cted fire stick or my Echo Spot,
I have it pointed through my front window so I can see my driveway and cars, the updated app allows me to turn off the night vision led’s so no problem with reflection, the street lights allow for sufficient illumination.
Really pleased and would recommend without hesitation.

I purchased this product for an sick elderly parent. Order on the Thursday and arrived midday Friday. Packaging was snazzy and adequate in terms of protection. The camera and accessories look fine although I would only give a three star for the PTZ unit itself – looks and feels a little flimsy but fine for the cash. I installed the camera quickly and tested all of its functions. Everything worked well and the image quality is good. All in All a painless and functional purchase!

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersThis security camera is a great little device. Instructions are straightforward and the app is well designed and east to use. The camera itself has a host of features including:

    – motion detection and notifications
    – night vision (works really well, except when pointing out a window, understandably)
    – pan and tilt the camera from the app
    – option to take a snapshot / photo
    – option to save the video feed to an SD card
    – option to share access to the camera with anyone else who downloads the app
    – option to add / access other Netvue cameras from the app

In addition to all the above free features the app also lets you enable cloud storage for a cost. Once enabled the camera stream is uploaded to the cloud, which stores the last 14 days of video for you to playback and browse at any time.

I had a few issues setting up the app for the first time, so used the website to contact support, I used live chat and was connected to a customer support in just a few seconds… my query was answered quickly and the issue was solved in a matter of minutes. It was nice that support was so quick, I thought I’d struggle to get help or have to wait days to get a response so was pleasantly surprised!

If you’re looking for a decent security camera then I’d highly recommend this. Netvue have done an amazing job with this product.

Bought this to use as a baby monitor. The picture quality (even the 720 p) is great and the app is relatively straightforward. The Alexa video integration also works well. I’ve got put 64 GB micro SD card in there also which promises to store two weeks of continuous footage. A few minor niggles: compared with some of the significantly more expensive cameras (I’ve also got s logitech circle) the setup is a little more challenging. There is also potentially a little more lag (1 – 2 s) and the connection isn’t always reliable (though this may also be my WiFi). As a baby monitor the microphone pickup/volume is also not great and it’s hard to hear all the little gurgles that other product might detect. However, overall I’m very happy with it for the price and would purchase again.

Was recommended this by a friend as an extra addition to a baby monitor as we are expecting soon. We haven’t had a chance to test it with our baby yet, but I have with the cat. It has very good night vision and adjusts from light to dark quickly. The talk through function works Ok, but doesn’t always transmit everything from what I’ve experienced so far. Overall, very happy and would recommend. Make sure you have 2.4ghz wifi, it won’t work on a 5ghz network.

We are absolutely thrilled with this camera. I’ve attached a photo of the night vision, showing our view in the pitch black.
We really struggled to find a video baby monitor we were happy with, those from BT and Motorola all seemed to have the same negative reviews, poor picture quality and generally parents didn’t seem to happy with them.
What we’ve done is installed a few of these NetVue cameras around the house (for a fraction of the price of one actual video baby monitor) and we’ve bought a cheap ‘audio only’ monitor from BT. The cameras mean we can check in on the baby from anywhere in the house on any device, any phone or iPad, Echo Show or even on our lounge TV etc. We don’t need to just have the one parental unit with a tiny 5″ or 7″ screen.
The audio only monitor alerts us if she cry’s and shows us the temperature of the room, also plays white noise and has a moon as stars light show. The camera means we can check that she’s okay, if she’s awake but silent (which ours seem to do a lot!) and make sure muslins etc haven’t fallen into the cot somehow – just the type of things you worry about when you can’t see your baby!
I’ve even been able to check in when staying away from home. We’ve been using these for 6 months now and other than having to reset the units a handful of times (which you can do remotely through the app) these have genuinely been faultless. Full HD video (and sound from the camera, although we prefer the audio baby monitor for sound so tend to mute the camera personally) at a fraction of the cost and we get to use our own devices to see the baby.

Brilliant picture, tilt and pan works perfectly.

I looked at several more expensive cameras recommended by various magazines before deciding my needs really didn’t warrant a particularly expensive camera. I came across this one and decided that for the price it was worth a go and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at what a remarkably easy to set up and great product it is for the price.
Yes some features are undoubtedly more limited than more expensive competitors but if all you need is a simple and effective indoor camera with a good picture, this is all you need. The ability to move it around and 2-way audio were an added bonus for me. It’s easy to set motion zones (albeit basic choice of screen areas) and a schedule too. I was up and running in literally 5 minutes and have had no problems connecting to it whether at home or away.
After just two weeks it’s too soon to tell if reliability or build quality may be an issue but right now, I’d definitely recommend!

Edit: If you buy one and get a card inside the box saying you’ll receive a free NetVue Camera if you email the review URL and order no to a specific email address, DON’T BOTHER. The email address doesn’t accept emails.

Bought this as a replacement to a Nest Indoor Cam that was constantly dropping my Wi-Fi and Nest Aware subscription, which cost 139 for the Nest Indoor Cam and 80 for Nest Aware annually. So as you will see the NetVue Orb Cam costs a lot less to buy, and 24/7 cloud recording is around 55 ($69.99). So you can save a lot of money by not buying Nest.

But how is the quality and alerting you say. Well after using it for 1 week I can honestly say it pretty close to Nest quality. OK, Nest has a slightly slicker ‘time line’ interface, but the NetVue system does a pretty good job, and the motion detected videos are directly accessible from you mobile via the alert, just like Nest.

If I was to find a niggle, it would be that the Orb Cam cannot look down when it is placed on a flat surface. So if you need to do that, and don’t fancy having to mount it on the wall with the included bracket, you should buy the NetVue Cam that looks more like the Nest Indoor Cam, as that can be pointed downwards. The Orb Cam can only look up (90 degrees up mind you) and all the way left and right, which is pretty amazing.

    I hope this review helps.

    Replaced Nest Indoor Cam

This is a great camera and not intrusive. It is easy to setup, connecting to my WiFi router no problem after scanning the code with my phone camera and back into the webcam lens to sync.

Once installed, the app is easy to navigate and has the option to record video or take pics if necessary. Also includes a motion sensor function to alert you of movement with a screenshot. Nice feature but time will tell if I get alerted on smaller movements. Has in built mic so you can hear what’s going on from the app. Also has an inbuilt speaker so you can speak from the app.

Camera works well in daylight, under lighting and even in the dark with the inbuilt night vision!

Overall I am pleased with the look of the camera, the quality of the image and especially the night vision function! One added bonus is if you have another NetVue camera product, it shares the same app so you manage them from one app! So I bought another one for my outdoor use.

It took me quite a while to find a camera i could safely say to my mother yes buy this one, as she wanted an inside camera looking out to her garden, i always read reviews and take days deciding and the option i most needed was to be able to turn night vision off, it worked great looking in the front room but i needed to turn it off to look out of the window, but not only can you turn the night vision off, i can talk on my mobile through the app and have a conversation with my mother and a really nice thing i can turn the camera all the way round from the garden to see in the front room as my mum is getting older now i need to know she is ok, so if i cant get through on the phone i can see if she is in the garden so i don’t have to worry, great picture and zoom too, also getting one for the back garden too, so im really happy i chose the right one for he

Bought 2 of these to use as security cameras to overlook both sides of my house (mid terrace). They are much larger and sturdier than I expected and are made to a very high standard. I did find that they do not perform well as security cameras to over gardens and the night vision infra red lights reflect on the inside of the window, however if you have security lights set near to where your camera is placed you are able to turn off the IR option and have it on day mode and the picture quality is that good that you don’t need the night vision. The one overlooking my front garden is set to day mode as I have a street light directly outside the window so I can see if anything is hanging around regardless of whether it is day or night. The second one is set to auto so it switches to IR night vision when we go to bed and turn all the lights out. It overlooks my entire living room and through dining room and you can pan and tilt via the app – I have the app on my mobile phone (make sure you check for updates so that you get the full menu options, this has to be done for each camera) and also on my tablet. So easy and quick to set up and can be unplugged and then plugged back without the need for it to be set up again or re-set. Also can be used as a baby monitor without the need to spend over 100 on a baby monitor, the one we have in our nursery overlooks our front garden but can also be turned via the app so that we can check on the baby aswel. All round fantastic product, I really cant fault them. These will really put my mind at ease when we go on holiday this summer.

What an amazing product, simply brilliant.

Recently purchased this camera as a ‘dog monitor’ to monitor our dog when we’re out and about. So far have been very happy with the product – the overall design isn’t too out of place in our home and the overall functionality within the app is suitable for our needs.

Within the app you can move/pan the camera, review previous footage and set motion alerts. I particularly like the fact you can load in a microSD card for video storage, rather than having to pay for a subscription.

I would like the functionality of being able to log-in via the web (rather than an app) for example when I’m at work, but the app works fine.

Setup was a breeze overall too. Overall for the price I think the functionality and quality are very good, this camera is only “720p” so you do notice some distortion in the video but not enough to make it an issue.

    Overall very happy

I read a number of reviews before I purchased the camera, one in particular mentioned that ” anyone with half a brain could set up this camera ” now to be honest I took that with a pinch of salt, but in truth it was so easy it nearly caught me out, I like everything about this camera except that you can only use a credit card, this seems very old fashioned to me which the camera definitely is not, so time to step up Netvue and add debit card and PayPal to your payment schedule, then you would have a camera that would tick all the boxes anyone could have.

We bought this camera to use as a baby monitor and we’re extremely happy with it.

The reason I am giving it a 4/5 is because it’s not too sentsitive in picking up noises and send notifications. The other thing that would really be great value is keeping the app active even when I lock my phone so that I can constantly hear what is going on with the little one without having the app open. I don’t want to unlock my phone, open the app just to have a hear/see if the baby is ok. Having that constant ‘ears’ would be really good.

On the plus, this camera is amazing! Interface is simple to use(voice and navigation), good looking device that’s well built, great picture quality including nigh vision and the app is really easy to understand. We replaced our original camera with this one and hands down the better choice.

This is a very good security camera with excellent picture quality and a wide view span which you can move to tilt the camera right, left and up and down. The sound quality is also good. I would like to have made my rating as 4.5 and would have given a 5 but for a small niggle with the app. To get the motion alerts you need to stay logged in and keep the app running in the background, thankfully it doesn’t use too much power. If they could fix this it would be great as I know that it can be done because I have another camera from a different provider which still sends me motion alerts when I’m logged out. I would still very much recommend this camera and I will be buying the outdoor version soo

Have now purchased numerous Netvue cameras for us, neighbours and family members.
Very useful for keeping an eye on the house, garden and pets.
Best mounted on the ceiling or sideways on a wall, because when sited on its base it struggles to view the floor (the camera pans 355′ around anywhere between the vertical and horizontal axis, but doesn’t look down much past horizontal).
When sited upside-down on the ceiling, the camera can view everything both beside and below it 355′.
The app is easy to use, and motion detection easy to use (if using in a static position you can choose which of the 12 squares (zones) you wish to switch on or off) and the microphone is fairly good to give you sound as well as vision of the area.

The only improvements would be: (in our opinion)
    1. To be able to select “sound on / off” as a default setting when viewing motion alerts.
(It is set to automatically play sound and even if turned off, if you change view to full screen the sounds comes on again automatically).
    2. When pressing the “Hold to Speak” button in view mode, you need to continue holding the button for about 1-2 seconds after you have finished speaking or the end of what you say is cut off.

I bought this after trying a couple of other more expensive camera that I’d purchased in a store (and returned). For it’s cost, I didn’t expect much but have been pleasantly surprised. It sets up easily, it streams quickly to your phone, and feels well made. The only downside is the picture quality which for me is very bad. I don’t know if this is my particular product, but it’s so poor that you can only just make out someone’s face. I’m using it for a security camera, so I all I need to know is whether someone is in my house or not. So for me, this camera is fine.

Good looking camera, good quality picture even though I didn’t buy the 1080 version. Set up was a bit of a pain in that scanning the QR code didn’t work first time (or second, but eventually it registered). You can turn off the annoying bleeps and rings once set up. I fitted a 128Gb memory and the camera formatted the card itself – so no faffing with formatting elsewhere and wondering what format to use. Haven’t used it in anger remotely (i.e. away from home), but I expect it will work then. If not, I’ll revise my review! NETVUE offers a free 1 year subscription to their motion detection storage if you write an Amazon review and send it to them. However, I have not done this as I think this sort of “encouragement” can lead to all sorts of issues. But then that’s just me. Happy watching!

I bought one of these cameras to give myself a bit of peace of mind when I go away for extended periods. It was easy to set up and so far has performed really well.

I like being able to remotely pan and tilt, and the motion detection is pretty good, though I have found it reacts to changing lighting as motion, so transitions between cloudy and sunny weather sometimes gives false motion alerts. But other than that, it’s a cracking bit of kit at a really competitive price.

There is nothing really to dislike. The picture quality is very good, and even the night vision is very clear. I liked this product so much I bought one for my Mum’s house for her the following week. We purchased a micro SD card to use with both to ensure that we could record onto the device. The app is very easy to use and the view I think there is 100 degrees to the field of vision, although if you want to see more you can pan the camera in the app. You can double tap to zoom in on the picture too. Only giving it 4 out of 5 stars as the motion detection app alerts went off a lot. And upon checking the footage I couldn’t see anything occurring. Even when the sensitivity of the motion detection was turned to the lowest setting. But hey ho, I’d rather check and have the peace of mind.

Thoroughly recommend this home camera to beef up security around your home for peace of mind.

Yes there are better cameras on the market, for the money this is a great little addition to security around the home, a steal at the price.

Easy setup done in less than ten minutes. Picture quality in auto or HD mode is crystal clear. 360 degree pan works a treat allowing coverage of all surrounding room / area. Great little speaker / microphone addition allowing you to speak with whoever in the room.

Used recently while on holiday in Spain just to generally check on the house day to day & worked great

Video capture & motion detection is an optional extra & does incur a yearly subscription charge, but no different to cameras 5 or 6 times the price.

When I purchased this Netvue camera I really didn’t know what to expect from it.
But having seen Netvue’s YouTube, my expectations were high. This camera is really
Brilliant, easy to set up with the Netvue app, and simple to operate. I like to see the camera panning
Around and up and down. I originally purchased it as a baby mind er for a new Grand daughter, but
use it now for both house security and keeping an eye on my dog when out and about.
This camera gives a very clear picture and sound quality is good.
I did email Netvue customer services with query and found then extremely helpful.
My Daughter has now purchased the same camera, at a quarter of the price of a baby minder.
Perfect online viewing on iPad, iPhone and Alexa Echo Spot.

Been looking for quite some time for a proper indoor camera, easy to install and with great image quality. I have tried 2 different devices, white brand, with great details on their description but there was always a delay on the image, connection will break or needed constant resetting, through a painful set up process. Event tried other devices, specifically designed for baby monitoring, with a display included but quality of image and the amount of time connection got lost was beyond what i care to describe.
Decided to try on netvue orb cam 3 months after my previous purchase… Has an easy set up, doesn’t take your will to live and the quality of image is great, even night vision. Motion detection is so accurate that decided to turn it off, due to the amount of alerts. Two way audio is clear and device is pleasant to the eye… Great device

Have just received my new Netvue Security Camera and I’m loving it. Have thought about a security camera for a while and after reading reviews I opted for Netvue and have not been disappointed. Was easy to set up following the instructions and the app is brilliant. Picture quality is really good and I’m loving how I can just drop in and view our home and dog and see what’s going on when I’m at work. Bonus is I can talk to Axel also. I have Netvue cameras outside which have been brilliant, so I decided to try there indoor cameras.
I chose this one because I liked the fact that you can pan up, down, left and right.
The product arrived very quickly and well packaged.
Setup was easy took less then 5 minutes from unboxing to actually being able to use it. The app to control it is very easy and intuitive. You can set motion zones to suit your own personal preference.
The picture quality is really good, especially at night.
You can chose whether to pay for 24/7 cloud storage or you can put a micro sd card In it to record onto. Takes up to 128 gb card.
Intergration with Alexa is as easy as enabling the skill and searching for the device. I can view any of the cameras on my echo show.
Customer service from Netvue is really good. They always answer your messages in a timely fashion.
Overall another really great product and a really low price. I will certainly be investing in more products from this company.

Great product at a great price.

Been using the camera for 8 months now and absolutely love it, great picture quality, even when zoomed in. Night mode is fantastic and clear. Connects well with our amazon show and the mobile app is very easy to use. This app is designed for a mobile so is a bit pixelated on my 10″ tablet.

Really easy to set up, although we use it as a baby monitor so when we take it to my parents we have to set up the WiFi connection each time, would be useful if we could store a couple of different connections, though this won’t apply to most.

The sensitivity of the motion detection can be adjusted, we have it set up so our child can have light movement in his sleep with being alerted, but it will alert us when he wakens and properly stirs.

It appears to be quite heavy on our bandwidth usage but I have looked into or tested this so it could be our ISP so not gonna mark it down for this.

Golden Review Award: 55 From Our UsersThis is a great camera. I’ve got a few of the standard Netvue cameras and they work really well for motion detection, live monitoring, cloud recording and all the usual stuff but the extra thing that makes this one really good is the ability to pan and tilt.

Like all this style of camera that I’ve encountered it only works on the 2.4Ghz band (rather than 5Ghz). This is no big deal as long as you remember to switch off the 5Ghz on your router during setup (and then switch it back on afterwards).

It has a great app for viewing and controlling the camera. This app keeps on getting better, the first version I used a few years ago wasn’t brilliant but it is good now. There are another couple of things about the Netvue cameras that I really like. They are Alexa compatible, so you can say to your Echo Spot or Fire TV Stick, “Alexa, show front door” and see the result on your TV. And they have really good cloud recording packages.

All the cameras I’ve looked at use AWS to provide a subscription-based recording service. On one of my cameras I pay $50 per year to record everything 24/7 and it keeps the last week (I think) and on another camera I use the new “Motion detection storage” package, which only records movement. The Motion detection package is $1.99 per month or $19.90 per year, which is a lot less expensive than the other brands.

On the whole I’m a big fan of Netvue cameras and this one is going to provide a lot of extra flexibility.

I Don’t Understand Why People Buy Other Expensive Brands

I got this a week or so ago to add to my other security cameras.

It was remarkably easy to set up using the app, which took me through the step by step process clearly.

On first use it was great, easy to use and intuitive to navigate. The movement is a little jerky but no issues.

However, on my first night view I found the screen to be completely pink! It was hideous. UNTIL an update was done of the software and it was then perfect! It goes to show that they are updating constantly, which was a relief as I thought it may have been a dud.

When mounting I think it would be better to mount upside down and cha ge the orientation in the app. This is because on night mode if pointing down (with the unit standing normally) there is a white haze caused by the casing. It’s not deal breaking but mounting upside down negates this completely.

    Very happy with it.

Exceptional camera, easy to set up and very intuitive

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersThis Camera was bought as a pet camera to keep an eye on our cats when we are away from the house.

What I love about Netvue products is that they are so easy to set up and use.

This Orb camera in particular is very good as you can move the camera up, down, left and right to see anywhere in the room (depending on where you place the camera).

As you can see from my photos, I have mounted mine upside down to take advantage of the 100 degree vertical rotation.

The 720p resolution is fantastic and does exactly what i need it too. The night vision is great as well as the daylight mode.

The camera feels like good quality, it is not too heavy so makes mounting it a breeze especially as a mounting guide is supplied.

I have uploaded a video to show just how easy the APP is to use and to show you how easy the camera is to use.

Thanks NETVUE for the great products.

I ordered this to keep an eye on my cat whilst I went away on holiday.

This is my sixth Netvue camera so as you can tell I really love the simplicity of the app and the quality of the cameras especially for the price.

This is the first pan-able camera I have bought from NetVue and the speed in which it responds is generally very good.

The only couple of small issues which stops me giving it a 5* is the field of view isn’t great compared to my other NetVue cams, this could be due to this being the 720p version and my other cams are 1080p.

Also the fact the camera doesn’t tilt down very far so if you put it up high unless you wall mount it upside down the tilt view is limited, you find yourself putting the camera low down so you can see things better.

All in all a good camera, excellent value for money!!!

Great little pan-able camera, with NetVue’s simple setup and good customer service.

Initially purchased this camera to keep an eye on my pets at home and I have this to be very useful indeed. Although it can take a while to rotate, I have found that the 360 view enables me to be very flexible and can view the whole room without restriction. Furthermore, the quality has been great and I have not had any connectivity issues so far. My experience with customer services has been great and the added motion detection is vital in getting the best experience from this camera. The motion detection could be improved as it is quite sensitive however, I have been assured that Netvue will constantly be looking to update their devices and fix any errors

All in all, I am very impressed by this camera and it satisfies my requirements and therefore I am happy to recommend this product to others.

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersThis was the first product Ive had from Netvue, and I was pleasantly surprised, given its good value. I’ll definitely consider them again in the future.
I have a number of IP cameras, and was attracted by the Netvue’s ability to show content on my Amazon Echo Show and Spot devices. This works well – all I have to do is say “Alexa, show garage” and I get a live stream.
The quality is excellent, including night vision – the inbuilt IR LEDs light up the whole of the area being monitored. Wifi reception is great – I have this camera at the edge of my wifi coverage with no problems.
Remote Pan and Tilt is available.
There have been several firmware updates since owning the camera, showing the developers are still maintaining its lifetime.

I now have two of these cameras from Netview and am considering a third soon. It is easy to set up using the instructions given, very good high quality pictures and good night vision and motion detection. It will save to an SD card and I have 128gb recording on a loop. These cameras are quite cheap considering the quality, they will pan and tilt and I don’t have anything bad to say about them. The app works well too and I can access my cameras from all over the world or even from a Amazon Show or Spot if I need to. Well worth buying if you want home security at a very reasonable price.

The setup of the camera is very quick and simple, as the camera works via wifi it can be positioned and used anywhere around the home. Great for monitoring pets and security within the home.

The DAY vision is very good, clear and smooth
NIGHT vision is good but not great if looking though a window
Camera SHARING is simple and can allow friends and family to share or not share cameras in a few minutes
MOTION detection is very good, it is area selectable and simple to adjust the sensitivity to avoid cause motion detection.
Camera MOVMENT is very fast simple and can move from low to straight up and all the way around.
Phone NOTIFICATIONS are prompt and give a photo so it is easy to tell if it is a visitor or family/friend.
The SD card option gives a local option for file storage, I have used a 32GB card and it is enough for all my motion detection needs.
CLOUD storage, 2 of my other cameras use the continuous and motion storage on my light camera and waterproof outdoor camera. Again this is simple and a fair price.

BAD POINTS I find it hard to find any real bad points other than it does not do well looking though windows at night due to the glare from the IR

GOOD POINTS simple to setup and use, well priced, very good image and movment pan and tilt. Good functionality.

ON the whole I would recommend the camera to anyone ether to monitor pets, security or monitoring.

A very good simple yet functionalcamera Would recommend

Golden Review Award: 71 From Our UsersThe Orb is well packaged detailing the camera’s main features. A good length of cable makes it easy to choose
a suitable camera position. I like the look of the Orb: egg shaped. Setting up through your phone app is made very easy with clear instructions and confirmation noises to let you know that the camera has been successfully set up.
Night time vision is very clear, pan and tilt work well, and I like the facility to review the video from an earlier time.
Setting up motion detection is easy to switch on/off.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersI bought this device as I wanted to be able to monitor the front of my house as we’ve had issues with people trying car doors etc.

I hadn’t really heard of the brand, but was recommended it by my brother who has had one for a while and he couldn’t have been more complimentary about it.
    Now I can see why!

This device is very easy to set up as it uses QR codes and audible signals so you know exactly which step you’re on. The only thing you have to do is enter your WIFI password.

The app is excellent and very easy to navigate. Everything is easily laid out and easy to follow and understand, and all of your settings are in one place, with your stored captures in another. It’s very intuitive.

Any Netvue products you have will all be stored in the same app so you have one place to manage everything.

Within the app you can view the Live feed or look back at your stored captures anytime you like. You can even use the device as a microphone but I don’t use this so can’t comment on its quality.

You can pan and tilt the camera around from within the app which is a great addition to this model, so if it’s not quite at the right angle it’s easy to solve.

The quality of the pictures in good light is also excellent as you can see by the attached images.

However, I was most surprised at how good the night vision quality was, again you can see in the pictures. This was taken at about 3AM (UK Time) which is about when it’s at it’s darkest, yet the picture was amazingly clear.

I absolutely LOVE this device and will shortly be ordering another one to monitor the back garden.

Fantastic bit of kit! Easy to Setup! Great App!

After having to contact customner services straight away as montion detection which required firmware wasnt working the set up was very easy and does the job very well. Love playing with it while at work with phone and the picture quality is amazing. However it needs plugging in which both makes it very easy to detect but also limits the places I can put it. The app isnt overly user friendly.

It seems like the basis of a brill product but isnt quite there yet as want something that I could hide. But for the money its good and does the job until the person breaking in unplugs it.

An amazing camera, for the money, but make sure you have your router in a good location to receive a good signal. If it’s too far away or in the corner of the house somewhere, it won’t do this camera justice. With a strong connection (the app will also tell you how strong it actually is) this is a great bit of kit. One negative is that the app doesn’t always notify you of motion detection occuring, although when you look at the motion detection section of the app, it has recorded the event. As it only records a short time after the motion had been detected, it would be useful for this to be working continuously so that you can then view the feed in real time and watch everything that goes on as it happens, and also record it if necessary. Overall I’m very happy with this camera.

Very good stylish camera, that works very well for the price, but Netvue really need to address some issues
please note the following, camera view quality reduces when camera is in a darker room facing a bright window, there is no way to turn the camera off if you wanted a private conversation unless you unplug it – this would be easily resolved with an on/off button, the motion detection only records for 8- 12 seconds although I have heard that Netvue are trying to increase this to 24 seconds which is still not long enough if your being burgled, (please note the motion detection only works every 5 minutes by then your valuables would have gone)
The memory card is a good idea but if you were being burgled all the thief has to do is take the camera, now you have no idea when you were burgled and no footage of the person – a product design may be needed for this.
Please note for the price its still a good camera

We love the Netvue cameras. They are simple to set up and because we needed a cam to monitor our child who had seizures we needed to be alerted immediately when any sudden movements occurred. We first bought the Netvue home Cam which did what we needed. We have now purchased the Netvue Orb Camera White because this camera provides 360 degrees video coverage. The Orb camera can be fitted to the ceiling to get even more coverage. There is a usb slot which takes up to 32gb for photo and video coverage. You can also pay a small fee to save and upload to the Netvue servers which stores all your footage in any event you should need to use for evidence or reference. In all good cameras 1080p black white / Night Vision / and also Full colour. I’d recommend anyday.

Better than most cctv systems I’ve fitted and the set up is simple. One thing to remember though if you already have other brand cameras operating off your WiFi there will be a battle to start with. The designer are pretty territorial so to get them to play together a tip is to switch them all off (any existing) to mimic a power failure, set up your new camera and off you go. Switch them back all on and everyone should be one big happy family. Adjust your settings on your phone to suit your requirements (record, motion etc)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis camera is excellent, the image quality is very good, (see photo of eye chart taken at around 5ft).
It is very easy to set up using the Netvue App, and is also very easy to access on your mobile device weather on WiFi or on Cellular, the camera connects and responds very quickly.
Motion Detection is top notch as well allowing you to zone out areas that you don’t want protected.
Pop in a memory card and you can record 24/7, you can subscribe to the 10 second motion detection video clips, but if you don’t then any motion is recorded as a still photo and allows you to access the memory cards 24/7 recording for that time point, a Superb Feature.

I have purchased the static ‘home’ camera previously but my rear garden is very long so need something with the ability to pan. Everything about this camera is just as good with a few exceptions that do not detract from a great camera.
    1. the motor for moving is noisy – it is certainly heard by anyone in the vicinity (but it’s not a factor for me – certainly as a baby monitor it may be an issue)
    2. I had terrible trouble having it link to my router – online help was great in suggesting that I link to my phone (using another device to access the app) then move the wifi connection to my router. this worked but I found out the real problem was the ‘channel’ my wifi was on- I just moved from 11 to 3 – sorted!

great cam and no regrets, especially at the price.

This is a great budget camera that works really well. It’s simple to set up, just download the app and scan the QR code for your camera and connect to your wifi signal and your done.
What I found to be the most time consuming is actually physical trying to mount this camera on a wall. I personally left mine on a high shelf. This camera also features Amazon view feature. By talking to Alexa to remote active this camera. Future proof indeed.
One of the great features on this camera is you you can remotely position your camera via the app to either pan or tilt the camera to cover your entire room. The two way audio channel is also a great feature as it allows you to address the situation according either visually or through audio. At the back of the camera you can connect a mic through the audio jack to create an intercom connection. The uses for this camera are many, and for its price you be hard pressed to another another one that is so competitively priced.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersAfter having to deal with a destructive puppy, I purchased this Netvue Orb cam because it has motion tracking & a microphone. Once a suitable location was found we set it up while going out & leaving our puppy for about an hour whilst we went shopping. This camera alerts you when it detects motion & you can then open the app on your mobile phone to see what is happening live. We were also able to “talk” to our puppy & distract it from being destructive. What a difference. One photo shows her destroyed bed & the later ones from the camera show a calm dog, albeit a little confused dog at first as to where our voices were coming from without us actually being there. The photos were taken on my mobile phone live while the action was happening over a standard wifi/gsm combination & the bandwidth/signal was great. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Netvue cameras to anyone wanting this type of home security. 5 stars isn’t enough!

I’ve been using the Netvue Orb camera now for a good few months and it’s fair to say this is a cracking piece of kit at such great value. I did my research on a few other budget dome cameras but I decided to opt for this one, as it looked the most professional out of the bunch I was looking at. The build quality of this camera is fantastic, smooth plastic construction with a bit of weight so it doesn’t feel too cheap. Mechanically this camera has a 360 pan and tilt which moves smoothly and auto adjusts the brightness accordingly. It will also automatically switch on the IR lights for night vision mode and the quality of the image in both daytime and night vision mode is great!
One reason I opted for this camera was the fact that it can do local recording direct onto a USB (Netvue also offer a subscription based cloud storage option, but at the moment I’m not using that). The camera constantly records onto the SD Card and can be played back via the app using a timeline based interface which is really easy to use. When motion is detected, I have it set up to alert me on my phone and it captures screenshot of the movement which is quickly viewable via the app. If you have it setup for recording onto SD Card (or possibly Cloud Storage) you can jump straight to the captured video and playback the action.
The app itself is very well built, features are easily changeable and setup was quick and easy. Netvue are always releasing new updates to the app and upgrading the Firmware on the camera, they are keen to listen to user feedback and willing to improve their devices.
I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a budget indoor camera that needs pan and tilt functionality to keep an eye on their home or pets whilst out of the house.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersWe already had a couple of Netvue products, so choosing Netvue again for this one was logical – no proliferation of phone apps to view things, and the support and product quality is largely known.

This camera is clearly designed for internal use since its SDcard and USB power sockets have no protection against moisture (or dust), and the joins in the camera body are equally unprotected. As you can see from the product photos, it is a reasonably nice form to sit unobtrusively on a shelf or table.

The specs for this camera show pan being 300 degrees and tilt being 100 degrees. In practice, these may not be as limiting as they first appear: a full 360 degrees horizontally can be seen, but it’s achieved by the left edge overlapping the right edge on full turn.

Similarly, the vertical coverage is limited below the horizontal by the camera housing, so if it was mounted high up on a wall there would be very limited view below it. However, in this situation the camera can be mounted upside-down and a software switch flicked to rotate the image 180 degrees. Voila! Now there is 90 degrees tilt down and 10 degrees up, which would be perfect for that position.

The camera comes with a light-weight wall-mount bracket, which should be good for ceiling and upside-down mounting. Unfortunately, whoever designed it wasn’t talking to the camera designer because the feet on the camera prevent the mounting screw from reaching the thread. I’ve attached a photo showing the problem, and it should be clear that without the rubber feet the screw would just reach the thread enough to get a grip. In numbers, the screw projects 3mm whilst the feet hold it off by 2.18mm, leaving just 0.82mm to feed into the thread. But there is more than 1mm lead-in…

All is not lost, though. The underside of the mount is narrower than the camera feet, thus the camera body can sit close enough to the mount if it’s mounted upside-down. Obviously, in practice it’s the mount that would be upside-down.

Initial setup of IoT devices I’ve found to be a bit problematic recently. My WiFi is a mesh thing and my phone 5GHz-capable, so that’s what it connects at. However, most IoT devices are 2.4GHz only, and since they use an ad-hoc AP for initial config (where your phone has to connect direct to them), the only way I manage to do it is with an old 2.4GHz only phone.

The Netvue camera devices are different. Sure, they complain about 5GHz networks, but that’s only to make sure they can connect to the thing. The clever bit is that your phone scans a QR code on the device, then generates a display showing a QR code which you shove in front of the lens. That QR code has all the info needed for the camera to connect, so no direct connection with your phone is needed. Magic.

Having said that, the way status is made known is via some noises: cat, dog, happy, sad. If you can’t hear these you’re pretty much stuffed and have to do it blind (no, sorry, deaf). Some better indication via the LED would make this much easier for disabled people.

Netvue’s products are cloud-based in that operation isn’t possible without internet access. Additionally, their cameras can store recordings in the cloud for a small monthly (or yearly, if that’s how you prefer to pay) fee. Ten or so seconds of motion triggered recording is quite cheap, 24/7 continuous recording rather more expensive. If you have one camera this is not too onerous, but if you have a few the fees soon add up.

However, this camera has an SDcard slot which, when populated, allows the camera to make continuous recording to it. Viewing that recording is a local affair (that is, the video data is transferred locally without cloud involvement), albeit the internet connection is still needed to control it. Recording locally like this doesn’t involve any cloud fees.

There are two ways of controlling pan and tilt on this camera. Firstly, the portrait mini-screen has an arrow-based control (which takes up a fair amount of space, hence the mini-screen). Press the appropriate arrow and the camera moves that way. There is a certain minimum amount of movement when doing this (perhaps not through programming, but certainly through how quickly one can press and release the arrow), so it’s difficult to get precise positioning via this method. But moving a long way is quick and simple.

The landscape screen has no obvious controls taking up space. To pan or tilt, one drags the image in the desired direction. Clearly, the movement is restricted to the limits of the view, so panning a long way involves lots of dragging. But positioning is very precise, so this is the best method for small movements and the arrow control on the portrait screen better for large movements.

Since all camera control is relayed via the internet, there is a certain amount of lag between initiating movement and something visibly happening. This could be a real problem for precise positioning, but Netvue have arranged it so that whatever part of the image you touch, when you’ve dragged your finger to some destination, that’s where that part of the image ends up. Thus the lag can be annoying at times, but positioning is very accurate despite that.

As is common with this type of camera, there is no optical zoom. However, since the video is full HD it is possible to perform reasonable digital zoom without artifacts showing up. The composite zoom image shows a useful range.

The Netvue app has two pages for viewing video: first is the landing page in portrait mode where you get a small video window and some controls, and second is the HD playback page where the video is full-screen in landscape mode. The portrait video is apparently ‘stretch to fit’ with a specific height, which means the sides of it are squashed, leading to a distorted view (seen in the screencap, compared to the landscape view for reference). I’m fairly sure that once upon a time the app kept the aspect ratio, so the edges of the video were clipped but it looked right. One could pan the video window to see the missing edges with a swipe.

My preference is for the fixed aspect ration since the edges of the video don’t normally contain anything interesting, and if they did it’s a simple matter to slide them into view. But the undistorted video is much easier to look at. Maybe the developers will bring that back or allow it as an option…

This is very nice kit for the price, and mostly well thought out. There are some rough patches and the odd (metaphorical) sharp edge. Most should be fixable with a software or firmware update, though it remains to be seen if Netvue resolve them.

A good camera that is easy to set up and to control from the well designed app. I bought a six of their various cameras to build a security system but was disappointed to find that cloud storage needed to be bought separately for each camera. Unfortunately this makes them unsuitable to use as a full security system due to the very high ongoing cost for cloud storage services. I understand Netvue is considering a multi camera cloud subscription which would be a big step forward. On the positive side the SD storage option provides a good playback facility to avoid the cost of cloud storage for the less critical cameras. Although the 720p camera is very good value for money I’d recommend paying the extra for the 1080p option, the picture is definitely clearer.

I stumbled across the NetVue system on Amazon when I was looking for a cost effective, but good quality system. I had previously purchased a system that relied solely on a micro-SD card and then backed away from this alternative as it would simply get stolen by any half-intelligent thief. The first camera I bought was simplicity itself to setup and the app works like a dream. I can enable motion detection and get an alert on my mobile phone whenever any movement is detected (without even subscribing to any of the online storage plans). I bought this second camera as I wanted a wider range of vision and this camera has excelled my expectations. It can turn the full 360 degrees and I find it easier on the phone app to turn it horizontal and then scroll with the picture rather than use the joystick control.

My one spot of advice for a new purchaser would be that when you set up the camera and are following the instructions in the app, they are so simple and straightforward that it is easy to miss a crucial step before entering the WIFI code on your router – where it asks you to press a button on the base of the camera — and if you do then you think it isnt scanning the QR code on the app rather than spotting your error.

The system came into its own when a power cut triggered my house alarm system (which rings my phone when this happens). I could simply log on to NetVue and reassure myself that everything was as I left it and that it was just a power cut and then reset the alarm without any need to return home.

This camera was inexpensive and provides great 24-hour home surveillance. It could also easily be used as a baby monitor if one was so inclined. The camera is easy to set up and posed no problems. The app is well built and easy to use (you can even identify motion zones that it should ignore or pay attention to. The camera looks stylish and is a low enough profile that one doesn’t even notice it. The built-in slot for an SD card is even better as you can rewind and watch video taken throughout the day. Really impressed with this little gadget which was much less than big brand names. I’d certainly buy a Netvue camera again!

On a trip to the USA a few years ago, one shop we visited had the following words on a poster, behind the cash desk – “Price, Quality Service, choose any 2”. Implying a company cannot provide all 3. In my experience NetVue are well able to provide all three, with great quality & innovative products, at market beating value and excellent customer service. All 7 of my NetVue IP Camera’s have been easy to set-up and now provide peace-of-mind whilst we are at home and, most importantly, whilst away from home. I’m able to view the images from all my NetVue cameras, anywhere in the world, with a WiFi signal or mobile data feed – whilst enjoying a beer in the sun :o) The ability to rotate and pan the camera, remotely, from the dedicated “App” is a neat feature making placement of the camera very flexible as you can adjust the view captured from the App. My latest camera is placed on top of a tall cupboard (see picture) giving a great all-round view from it’s 1080p resolution image. Paying a little extra for the 1080p version of the camera is definitely justified, giving that extra clarity to the image.

Easy to set-up - give one a try. You'll more than likely buy more.

This isn’t my second orb cam and I love it. It works very easily with Alexa, which I find useful but not how I use it at the moment. I prefer the functionality of being able to view my house from anywhere in the world. The feature where I can talk through the camera is great and I’ve used that several times. The IR is good but can cause glare if you rest it on a shiny surface. I have one on my mantelpiece inthe living room and one in the kitchen on the microwave. It’s easily resolved by tilting the lens up slightly so no biggie. It’s reliable and the motion sensor is fantastic. I’ve not had much cause to use the clips or cloud function but I have tested it and it works fine too. No problems with it at all and adding it to Alexa and installing it works so easily it’s great. It’s also much easier to add a second one than adding the first. But neither was difficult. I love my orb cam and the fact it can be hung from the ceiling is cool. It’s easy to flip upside down too. I love this product and it’s a great price too.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis is a cool looking camera and is perfect for checking up on your little one without disturbing them in the room! The camera looks cool and not intrusive. It is easy to setup, connecting to my WiFi router no problem after scanning the we code with my phone camera and back into the webcam lens to sync.

Once installed, the app is easy to navigate and has the option to record video or take pics if necessary. Also includes a motion sensor function to alert you of movement with a screenshot. Nice feature but time will tell if I get alerted on smaller movements. Has in built mic so you can hear what’s going on from the app. Also has an inbuilt speaker so you can speak from the app but not something I will use.

Camera works well in daylight, under lighting and even in the dark with the inbuilt night vision! I have uploaded some pics and a video of my testing under different environments to give you an idea of the picture quality. You can also control the pan/tilt from the app, which is responsive but only moves a set amount each press so you have to press a few times if you wanted to pan across the room for example.

Overall i am pleased with the look of the camera, the quality of the image and especially the night vision function! One added bonus is if you have another NetVue camera product, it shares the same app so you manage them from one app!

Great looking camera, easy to use and setup!

The Netview Orb camera must be the best one I have ever had in my life. The success story started right after ordering it. Being an Amazon Prime member I was promised delivery the following day even though I ordered it late at night. Indeed the camera was in my hands the very next evening.
Having had experience with other cameras I was ready to go through an ordeal to set it up. Here was when the Netview miracles started happening. The installation was the most straight forward I have ever seen. I was guided through the simple installation steps from the app and I managed to finish the installation within 2 minutes!!!
Once I had it installed, the camera auto updated its firmware and started working as a charm. The picture quality is exceptional, its response to the app is the fastest I have ever seen and the sound quality coming is immaculate. I enabled the “detect motion” feature and tested it with great success. I was getting notifications every time something was happening in the room together with a snapshot.
Overall, it think it is a great camera and I would recommend it without any hesitation at all.

I ordered this cam during the black Friday and it was my best catch.
The camera has a fantastic design and looks really nice.
The installation was easy. Only make sure to connect it to your 2.4Ghz wireless network.

You can use the camera with or without a Mini SD card (up to 128GB).
It comes with a power adapter and a bracket for fixing it to the wall or ceiling.
You can use Netvue app on your phone to rotate the camera or look up and down.
One of the reasons I bought this camera was the fact that it works with Amazon Echo Show, Amazon Echo Spot and Amazon Fire TV. To do so you only need to enable Netvue Live Video skill on your Amazon Alexa app and it works like a charm. Just say: Alexa, show the living room. And Alexa Show or Spot show you a live stream of the cam on display. How cool is that?
The camera also comes with Motion Detection feature and can send you a notification each time it detects any movement in front of the camera.
All in all, a great camera especially for this price. It has all the features I always wanted and works great.
    I can’t recommend it enough.

It has all features that I wanted + Amazon Echo suppo

*NOTE: Update the camera firmware from the app*

I bought this camera as it had good reviews for a decent price. The box was nicely packaged with a felt like inside protecting the equipment. The camera has a good weighty feel for a plastic camera shell.

To get started I only needed to plug the camera in, I didn’t use the mounting bracket or the included wall screws as my camera was due to just sit on a shelf.

After reading some of the other reviews I expected quite a complicated setup process, however, it seems that the app has been updated since then and the setup process is extremely streamlined and simple to follow with video instructions (you don’t even need to read the manual).

After setting up the camera, I found the image quality wasn’t great, very laggy and trying to pan the camera was very slow. After using the app for a few minutes a message came on the screen saying that the firmware on the camera was being updated and it will be ready to use in 10-15 minutes. Well… that update made a massive difference, camera quality was great (for 720p), the lag disappeared and the panning was responsive. So if you get this from Amazon, check for a firmware update first.

The camera supports pretty much as full 360 rotation (maybe slightly under as it appears to rotate about 170 left and right from the centre which is close enough. The camera pans well up and down, however, it doesn’t pan below horizontal so don’t put on a high self.

The night mode was clear (possibly even better than the normal mode) which is great for monitoring dark rooms (I monitor the back door at nighttime).

The only downside to this camera is the microphone could be a little better to improve listening to the camera from your device and to swap the 720p camera to a 1080p.

Other than that, a great camera for a great price.

    Great camera for the price

This is the fifth Netvue camera that I have purchased. They have all been great quality and pretty straightforward to set up.
The user interface of the app is always improving and the latest iteration is great.
The one thing that sets these guys apart is that if you have any issues they have a instant chat service that is immediate and they have informed friendly staff that will help you solve the issue. (Such as recently when I accidentally had it set to sleep mode and couldn’t figure out why I could not view the picture).
The picture quality of the 720 cameras is acceptable for most internal applications, however the 1080 cameras have superb picture quality and decent frame rates.
If you have a need for multiple cameras, keeping them all Netvue gives a consistency to the user interface and I would argue this is up there with some of the premium IP camera brands.

Setting up of this device was avery easy in comparation with vuebel, the instruction were very clearly. Good product`s, customer Service is different from company to company, when I had problems with ather product in setting up, very rapid response time to customer request.
The live stream performance was also great and showed minimum delay and the night vision camera was excellent. The rotation of the camera provided good rotational degree, however the up and down rotation was somewhat limited, which means that this should be placed almost at the same level to the viewing object. The speaker is also decent and was clear enough and it has a function whereby you can speak out of it using the app on your phone.
Night vision and picture resolution work well, the camera can be mounted
in any orientation. But for me the best part is buying anything online with
confidence, and the NETVUE team tick all the boxes. So if you are looking for
a good budget WiFi camera with great customer service this is for you.

They have a customer for life!

At last, a security camera with the features I wanted at an extremely reasonable price. I have several security products bought over the last few years – the first couple almost needed a university degree to be able to set them up! Not this one thank goodness — set-up is quick and simple!
I had good expectations with this Orb Cam as I already have a Netvue Vuebell Camera and a Netvue Floodlight Camera and they all work pretty much without issue – in fact any issues I do have are network or power related and nothing to do with the products.
Since my first Netvue product – the Vuebell, the App has been improved and is now – in my opinion – the easiest App I have ever used to set-up and monitor the units – and the Orb Cam is no exception!.
To set up, you simply – using the App – scan the QR Code on the cam, switch it on, wait for the response sound, connect to a network (2.4Ghz band) let it bind with the Router and Server and voila – another NetVue camera on the App – all 3 are displayed on my iPad screen.
The Orb Cam looks like a little robot, I can imagine it sitting on a unit in a baby room amongst all the fluffy toys and looking just like another toy so it’s a baby monitor and security camera in one. I have mine in the living room – again just on the sideboard but it does come with a useful clamp that allows it to be hung on a wall or high in a corner as required.
For the price it has a considerable number of features as detailed in the description, there are several other cams that look similar and are similarly priced, and all have some of the features of this one but few have them ALL — I almost forgot, the Orb Cam also takes an optional micro SD card to record directly on the device, but you can also capture images AND video on your iPad, phone or tablet. There is 2 way voice and it is Alexa compatible which is great for me. I can just ask my Alexa Spot to ‘show me the Orb Cam (or garage cam or front door cam)’ and up pops the live image on the screen — also works for the Alexa Show — you just need a screen! I can even use my Amazon Fire Stick and the image pops up on the TV!
No Support needed for THIS product but was for my very first Netvue product (the VueBell) — if there are ANY issues with set-up or use the App has a Help function which gives the option of Email or Live Chat — I’ve used Live Chat and have always been connected pretty much instantly and helped there and then! It must be said that the issues were always MY end and nothing to do with the Product itself.
I have nothing left to say — few things are worth every penny, this one is!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI already have two other different Netvue cameras which I have been extremely pleased with – one outdoors and one indoors – and I decided this one would be a useful addition as it has the ability to pan around the room covering virtually 360 degrees and I can control it with a touch-pad from within the app, no matter where I am, on either my iPad or iPhone. I installed this camera in my kitchen-diner so as well as viewing the room, it can also be moved to view the outside door and during the day I can see into the garden through the windows.

It was very easy to set up. I decided it was more convenient for me to mount it on a wall, using the bracket supplied complete with the wall plugs and screws, but it can easily be mounted on a ceiling using the same bracket, provided you have a suitable power source close by, or don’t mind using an extension cable, as you can invert the image from within the app to allow for the camera being mounted upside down. Of course, it can just be free-standing on a worktop if that is what you want. Having set up two others, it only took a matter of minutes to get it up and running as I already had the Netvue app on my devices. However, the app is easily downloaded from the app stores. Just follow the instructions that are in the box.

The camera works great in all lighting conditions as well as with the built-in IR LED’s in the dark, as can be seen on my images, and gives excellent pictures in 720p HD. I like the facility to be able to have it in ‘sleep mode’ at times when it is not needed and then be able to switch it back on (with the app) immediately and without having to wait for it to connect to the Wi-fi again. All the data can be stored on either a micro-SD card of up to 128GB (I am using a 64GB), and/or on the Netvue paid for cloud service, after a 14-day free trial. Both the live and/or recorded videos can be watched from anywhere on the app, providing you have either a Wi-fi or 3G/4G connection on your device.

This is a great little camera and is certainly good value for money.

A great little camera with big features

My first network connected camera was very hard to configure and it kept losing its settings, fortunately the Netvue Orb is so easy to setup and it was up and running within a couple of minutes of connecting it to a power supply.

The instructions are supplied within the Netvue app which I download from android Playstore and it starts by getting you to scan the QR code from the back of your newly purchased camera when you choose the option to add an indoor camera.

I found the camera and the app to be very easy to use, setup and configure, the motion detection with a grid selection to allow you to enable/disable each square so that you can prevent notifications from unwanted areas of the monitored area.

I haven’t fitted an sd card into the rear of the camera as I’m still waiting for it to arrive.

The adjustable bracket that is supplied is really useful and it has allowed me to fit the camera to the underside of a shelf in our living room.

The picture quality is very clear when checking at home on the wifi or when at work on the mobile network,
Finally, the cherry on the cake is the Alexa compatibility which works great on my Fire 8 tablet when in or out of Show Mode.
I’m now thinking of getting the Netvue door bell to add to my two orb cameras I have but I will probably have to wait till its on offer in the upcoming sales.

Great value camera that is simple to setup and use.

Golden Review Award: 241 From Our UsersThe Netvue Orb Camera is fantastic! I now have 2 of these and would like more! The quality is excellent! They seem very sturdy and they come in a lovely white box (reminds me of Apple packaging), so I’m already impressed before I even plug the camera in lol.
The actual camera feels very well made and after plugging it in and setting it up which only took a few minutes I was ready to go. The picture quality is brilliant, it’s very very clear and detailed! I’ve placed mine above the curtain in the lounge so I can see my pet through the day if I’m out for longer than usual. That’s my excuse anyway! I just love gadgets really! Lol I’d love them everywhere!
When I’m home I have them pointed to the ceiling (for privacy) and when I’m out I can pan and tilt the camera to see anywhere in my lounge.
I’ve had cameras that cost triple this and they haven’t been as good as this! Mine has never dropped WiFi signal and it’s virtually instantaneous, meaning I can talk to whoever is in the house through my phone app and through the camera because it has two way audio. I can take photos and record video too straight on my phone. The camera also has customisable motion detection zones and brilliant night view mode.
The app itself is so easy to use too. Anybody with half a brain will be able to use it. It’s very self-intuitive so you don’t really need to be tech savvy. You can add several cameras to the app also.
I can’t wait to get the Amazon Show for Christmas because it’s compatible with Alexa! So I will be able to go “Alexa show me the lounge” and the camera will be shown on the Echo Show’s screen! How cool is that?! I’m definitely wanting more of these cameras because they are fantastic! I’d like to try the NetVue doorbell too!
Brilliant camera and I would definitely recommend! 🙂

If this review helped you in any way, and you wouldn’t mind pressing the ‘helpful’ button below, I’d really appreciate it 🙂

We needed a camera to keep an eye on our new puppy so I decided to look at what Netvue offered as we already have a Netvue video doorbell which works very well.
Anyway I found this new Orb camera which looked like it would be the perfect product with all the features it offers.
Delivery was very quick and the packaging was excellent, it seemed like a premium product from the outside.
The camera comes with everything you need to get setup, it even comes with a wall mount if needed.
I didn’t even realise that the Netvue app that we use to access our doorbell is the same app used to setup and access this camera which is great, it meant I didn’t need another app when I have far to many and also everything was familiar already.
I unpacked everything and the camera felt high quality and looked very modern, I plugged the supplied power cable and UK plug in, waited a few seconds and it played a tune.
Next I went in to the Netvue app and just went to add a new device, selected the Orb camera and simply followed the instructions, basically you just pick the Wi-fi network that you want the camera to connect to and then show the QR code that is generated to the camera, after another tune and a few more seconds the camera is connected and then shows up in the app.
The HD quality is fantastic for this price! Honestly this is an excellent camera and it’s great to be able to move the camera remotely which is very handy to watch a moving puppy.
It has other features like being able to speak through the camera from your phone, motion detection, night vision, card recording and it’s just a solid product.
I would definitely buy one of these again if needed and I’m sure I will purchase more Netvue products in the future!

    UPDATE

I needed a WiFi camera so I could keep an eye on my dog while I was out of the house. The option to hear and speak to my dog was a bonus and will be usefull in the future.

The camera arrived quickly from Amazon and was well packed. The camera box was of premium quality and I felt I had purchased a quality product. On taking the Orb camera from the box I could see I was right, this camera is well made and felt substantial.

I was able to quickly set the camera up and was connected to my internet easily by following the included instructions. I downloaded the free app. and was able to connect to the Orb.

My overall impression is that for the price I have a bargain! A well made and easy to use WiFi camera from a company that has put a lot of effort into producing a range of affordable WiFi camera products.

This is by far superior to a lot of similarly priced cameras. As long as the easy instructions are followed, set up will be easy and you will be up and running in no time.

360 degree view is useful and the HD quality video give a clear picture.

Very pleased with this innovative indoor camera.

I primarily purchased this camera to keep a watchful eye on our family dog when he stops my house once a week. Now whilst I am at work I can check if he is okay (or more like behaving!) by using the simple to use app.

The feature particularly attractive to me is the fact you can rotate the camera left or right and up and down by using the app when I am at work, so if the dog has moved position I can track him down again.

The camera was very easy to set up. Plug the device into a power socket, scan the QR code on the camera itself using the Netvue app when prompted and then the app provides a QR code in which you display in front of the camera to finalise. The whole process literally takes two minutes and is very easy to do.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this to upgrade from an original more basic security camera / monitor (I use it mainly for security) . I am delighted with the enhanced picture quality and the additional features which make the camera good value for money:

    1. The unit looks smart and installation is straightforward with the camera up and running in no time using the qiuck start guide. Connecting Alexa Show requires linking your Amazon account with the Netvue app and is a straightforward process.

    2. The 1080 HD wide angle lens gives a much clearer picture than the 720 version and the night vision is excellent. The panning and tilt facility is an interesting extra giving 360 degree coverage which is very useful when you want to pinpoint a specific view.

    3. I also like the power connection. Using a power bank gives you total portability within your wifi coverage.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersI have used many IP cameras over the years an this is up there with the very best.
It looks good and does not look out of place in any room of the house. I have it in my study pointing out across the driveway as a security camera but also to allow me to see who is coming to the front door.
This proved to be one of the easiest cameras to install as long as you follow all the steps in the app. Once it was up and running I added it to my home Amazon Alex set up. Like the actul initial install connecting to Alexa was a breeze!
Operation of the camera through the app or Alexa is childs play. The alerting set up is great. Love the fact that it records both stills and video at each alert. The quality of both video & photos is very good. It allows for easy identification of any ‘visitors’.

I would highly this unit to family and friends. I intend to buy more of their kit especially the outside camera. Netvue for me from now o

In the box, you get the camera, a USB power supply, a USB cable and wall mounting bracket. In fact, everything you will need to get up and running apart from the App which you download from your phones app store. Once you have the app and created an account just scan the QR code on the camera and then enter the details of your wifi and password. This will then generate a QR code on your phone, show that to the camera and job done. I did check with Netvue and they don’t store your password, it is only used to generate the QR code.

You will now have a camera up and running, likely if like me you, and like a lot of devices, almost the first thing it needed was a firmware update. For this white camera it was fully automatic, the black one I had to get updated via live chat with support. The app which you need to set up the camera has live chat built-in and even at 0400hrs was live.

The rest of my review would mirror the other 5* reviews a very good product which we can even control via GRPS when travelling. Like the Product. Like the Company.

Firstly, this is the third indoor security camera I’ve owned. The primary reason for going for this particular camera in a saturated product space is that I’ve had a netvue security doorbell for nearly two years and unlike most other tech I’ve procured, it has worked unwaveringly and the app has continued to be updated and supported. The setup is extremely quick and I particularly like the audible tones to confirm each step has been completed successfully.

There are a lot of 1080p or higher res cameras at similar price points, but the app and fact that you can add your own SD card set it apart from most of them. I also like that you can adjust the sensitivity and zones for the motion detection.

I’ll aim to update review in a few weeks when I’ve had more time with it. For now though, I’m pleasantly surprised and glad I didn’t fork out extra for the 1080p version as this one is more than enough for my what I’m using it for.

I was looking for an indoor security camera so i could keep an eye on my new puppy when i left the house.
I’ve been worried that she might have separation anxiety, which could be disturbing the neighbours.
I needed something that worked in the dark, had a microphone and speaker but also one that could be controlled by your smartphone.
I already have the Netvue doorbell which has worked perfectly for the past year and any issues i’ve had with it have been quickly resolved by an amazing team working in customer service.
So when i found the Netvue Orb i didn’t hesitate to order it.

For the price I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the camera.
It was so simple to setup. Plug it into the power, download the app from the Google play store (apple is supported aswell) follow the instructions on the app, it scans the back of the camera to link it to your account, put in your wifi password and your all done with the setup.
The picture quality is extremely good in daylight and night vision mode. I’ve uploaded a picture of the night vision little LEDs that you can see when its in the night vision mode.
You can control the camera from the app, you can move it left or right and up and down. It responds pretty much instantly and you can hear everything from your camera on your phone. It also lets you speak through your phone which then comes through the small speaker on the Netvue Orb speaker.
That’s probably the only negative i can think about this camera. The speaker could be a bit louder. Its not a deal breaker for me and for the price i can forgive it for that.
It has to be the simplest home WiFi CCTV camera I’ve ever owned or setup.

I’m going to order another as I really like the notifications you get on your phone when the camera detects motion. It would be handy to have one or two cameras just placed downstairs and upstairs, that way if I’m out and someone breaks in, the camera will tell me on my phone, take a picture of what its seen, then i can quickly check via the app a live view of whats happening. It will just give me extra peace of mind.

I’m quite difficult to please, but the orb by netvue ticks all the boxes and then some. I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for an indoor security camera.

Easy to setup, great picture quality!

Item comes with micro usb power lead, usb mains plug, position-able camera mount. I had the app already, as I had another netvue product, so didn’t need to read the instructions. Just tapped the app to install an new device and it walks you through it all. It was so easy my 8 year old daughter and 80 year old mother could have done it. Using the app You scan the QR code on the back of the device, wait about 45 seconds and the phone and camera sync, login to your wifi, wait another 45 seconds (less) and it’s all done.
I positioned mine in the dining room looking down my hall to the front door and have another one in the lounge looking towards the back door. I have turned the motion detection sensitivity down as it was reacting to shadows caused by the trees blowing in the back garden (but that’s what the sensitivity adjuster is there for). Very happy with product; the fact you can add more memory with micro SD card is a big bonus and you can talk to people through it as well. It’s fantastic for the price.

The Orb camera arrived quickly and was well packaged. The packaging for the product itself was of a high quality and felt premium. Inside the box was the camera, a bracket to attach to the wall, and the usb cable to power it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a UK mains wall usb plug included too, i wasn’t sure whether that would have to be purchased separately.

The setup process is easy to follow, and has sound effects that play to help you set it up. remember that this needs to be on a 2.4g wireless network to run, though a lot of people have those it is worth checking. Mine was fine for this.

I found range to be good with the product and didn’t experience any drop-outs, but this might vary from setup to setup. The picture quality was good (in light and in night mode) and the movement was responsive. on the app you can either use buttons to move, or swipe around with a slight delay.

overall very impressed with the product, which seems to be a cut above its competition.

High quality, responsive, indoor movable IP camera

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersI love these cameras which is why I have ended up with three of them in my flat. One covers the front door in the hall, one covers the kitchen and one covers all the mess on my living room floor to make sure nobody tidies up. If you want piece of mind, of you want to know what your children are doing when you hear the bangs and crashes coming from their room, when you want to tell the children that it’s gone midnight and they should be asleep them these are the cameras for you!!

If you want a small upgrade for them simply slide a micro SD card into them and look back over days of recorded footage to see which one of the children broke the head off aunty Pauline’s priceless plastic dog statue.

I can’t recommend netvue enough. A brilliant little company that makes cameras that punch well above their price bracket.

    I can see you!!

I got this camera as an upgrade to the one I already had. I’m simply astounded at how clear the picture is, it’s awesome and I can see every tiny detail.
I use this camera in my sons room, he is 18 months now and shares with his 8 year old brother. I opted for one with 360 degree panning capability because my 8 year old has sleep walking problems so now I can check on the baby and spin the camera round to make sure my elder son hasn’t got out of bed which gives me a fantastic peace of mind. I’m always concerned that he will head for the stairs and fall down them but with this camera it completely irradiacates that worry.
It is easy to install and link into my other Netvue cameras and Alexa.
Iv tried many of these camera systems over the years and this is by far the best one. I can’t wait to expand and add more Netvue products. I undoubtedly recommend these for a multitude of purposes.

    Awesome product.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersThe Netvue Orb security camera. Having a Netvue WiFi doorbell already, I decided to buy this security camera over the many others available because of the fast customer service available through the Netvue app, the low price of cloud storage and being able to track both devices using the same app on my phone. Arrived in a smart looking box with everything needed to set up and start using immediately. There’s even a bracket for fixing the camera to a wall or ceiling included. Straightforward instructions in English, although setting up camera through the app is just as easy, with clear pictures, videos and directions. Operating camera through the app is easy, checking motion detection events, viewing live camera with pan, tilt and zoom and 2 way conversation possible with built in speaker. Picture quality is very good in both daylight and nighttime conditions, currently camera is set up indoors to view the dogs antics whilst we are out! Tried the camera outside too, picture quality is also very good in both day and night conditions. Motion detection seems to be very accurate, can either view each event in still pictures (a series of stills are made and stored) or from a video recorded event (a short video of the event). Events can also be stored onboard the camera using a micro SD card. Camera is silent in use, on using the pan and tilt function a faint whir can be heard as the motor turns the camera – but the noise isn’t overly noticeable. I would recommend this camera for any use, being so small and portable it’s easy to move the camera for other purposes.

    Easy to use, great value.

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersWhen I received the product, it was well packaged and looked a quality item. As it was fairly cheap considering the features (HD, Alexa integration, Motion Detection, 2 Way Voice & Audio Communication etc), I have to admit that I was a little dubious as to what the quality of the product would actually been like. However I needn’t have worried as it is fantastic.
Setup was fairly straight forward – the only issue I had was that I was trying to set it up in a fairly dark room (my own stupidty!) and the camera struggled to pick up the Barcode from my smartphone screen to finish the pairing & setup. As soon as I turned the lights on, the camera recognised the barcode and finished the setup.
Onto its use – the app is very user friendly & looks very polished. The camera comes up quickly and the pan and tilt function is very quick to respond. The picture is fantastic, the image is crystal clear and pin sharp whether you are viewing it in daylight (see the 1st pic above) or in pitch darkness (the IR function works great). The 2 way audio is the jewel in the crown for this camera; it allows you to communicate with people in the room, and allow them to talk back to you! It would make this an ideal baby monitor (especially when used with an Amazon Echo Show). The motion detection works well and turns this into a great security camera, alerting you to any movement in the portion of the screen which you select.
Overall I am mightily impressed with this camera, it works brilliantly & very easily and has a great set of features for the price, I cant recommend it enough!
Update after a few months: The firmware for the camera has been updated a few times since I first purchased it, and it has improved the motion detection and notifications even further.

Golden Review Award: 67 From Our UsersThe NetvueOrb Camera arrived and first impressions were good, the box was sturdy and looked professional with a nice image on the front of the camera.

I quickly unboxed the camera (see photos) – The build quality feels good, with a nice smooth matt finish to the body, side speaker grills, microphone and microSD card slot at the back along with power input. There is also a wall mount which I have not used as placed this on a shelf.

The setup instructions are very easy to follow, you download the app to your phone, add a camera, scan the QR code on the back and setup your wifi and name the camera.

The picture quality is very good quality, and covers a nice wide angle, though stutters a bit when panning the camera from left to right or up and down. The pictures are nice and clear once in position. The night vision on the camera is also very good and clear.

One of the main functions that I wanted the camera for, was the integration with the Amazon Echo Show and Dot, as well as the phone app. (again see photos of it working with the Show and The Spot)

To use the camera on the show you need to have re-scanned for devices under smart home on the Alexa app so that it knows the names of the camera or cameras you have added. Then you just ask it to “show A camera” with A being the name you have given to the camera.

    Benefits :
    * Great affordable Camera
    * Good quality pictures
    * Integrates well with Echo Show and Spot.

    Issues :
    * Have not found out how to pan and tilt from the Echo Show (you can from the app so not too big an issue)

Excellent affordable camera that works with Echo Show and Spo

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersA very solid, well made camera. Set up is simple – download the app, scan a couple of QR codes and you are up and running. Image quality is very good, and the app is simple to control movement. The motion alerts work well, and you can adjust both the sensitivity and the area for motion sensing. The talk back setting works well too, should you wish to use for pet monitoring or the like. All in all very worth the cost!

    A very capable little camera

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHi have 5 of these set up, we were broken into a few years ago and security is naturally very important to me. These cameras allow me to check up on my pooch and the house. You can spin the camera around using the app, record locally or to the cloud and there’s two way talk functionality. The app makes setting these up a breeze. The camera comes with a wall mount or you can just place on a flat surface. Considerably lower price than similar cameras but functionality and quality on par.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSetup on this camera was the easiest of the 4 Netvue products I own. Perhaps I have got used to the process. I still followed the instructions step by step, don’t try and skip anything as the only time I have had problems on other Netvue products was when I skipped a step.
Once setup and placed where I needed it the image quality is great and response fast.
A word about my use of these cameras. I am disabled and bed bound so the cameras give me a wider view of my surroundings for security and interest. I have a Netvue doorbell, a Netvue external camera and two internal ones. They are all linked to my Alexa Show so that I can call up any camera want to view and listen to the audio feed or chat. The only thing I cannot do via Alexa is pan the internal cameras. I have to use phone or iPad apps for that.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Netvue 1080P is an excellent indoor security camera which is well worth the money. The image quality is very good both during the day and at night with the infra-red LED night vision. There is an SD slot in the back of the camera which video can be stored automatically or you can use the Netvue cloud service to store your videos. The camera includes motion detection which works great and sends you a message to your Netvue phone app and you can also see a picture of what ever tripped the motion detection. You can also use the Netvue app to view any videos from any of your Netvue cameras. I already own two other Netvue cameras which have been great but his new one has the added benefit of being able to remotely control the camera you can move it up and down and even 360 degree rotation within the app. It is great when you are not in the house or on holiday to check that everything is OK. I have also set one up in the playroom for my daughter so I can keep an eye on her and I can even chat to her using the 2 way audio. The app is updated regularly and the camera even works with the Echo show and the Fire TV. Last year I bought a lot more expensive indoor camera from a well-known company and this new camera blows that one out of the water for its price and features. Setup is a five minute job using the app instructions which involves scanning in the barcode on the back of your Netvue camera and connecting the camera to your 2.4Ghz WiFi connection. I would recommend this camera to other users who are looking for a fully controllable indoor camera.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFirst may I say NETVUE customer service is second to none.
I have found the NETVUE camera’s to be a very good basic camera,
build quality and performance are good, with a impressive WiFi ranges.
Night vision and picture resolution work well, the camera can be mounted
in any orientation. But for me the best part is buying anything online with
confidence, and the NETVUE team tick all the boxes. So if you are looking for
a good budget WiFi camera with great customer service this is for you.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOut of the box you get one camera, one fixing bracket (with screws and a marking template) and the 3 pin power supply with USB cable about 1200mm long. A short and simple instruction sheet is easy to follow.

As this camera ONLY operates on 2.4Ghz you may need to adjust settings on your router so the WiFi connects. On my BT hub I had to go in to the settings page on a laptop as Admin to manually split the 2.4 and 5 frequencies in to two separate channels. Easy if you know how, a little perplexing for a novice but doable.

Remember to reboot your router after any adjustments. All my BT hotspots (Broadband over mains) worked as before and the changes I made under Admin did not affect anything else.

The camera worked instantly following the steps on my phone. Each step takes about a minute to complete so give the camera a chance to flash, beep or bark as required.

The images are excellent but zooming in loses clarity quickly. The pan tilt function works well with minimal lag. Sound is a bit distorted if the noise is close to the camera mic. Night vision is very clear.

24/7 cloud storage is $50 a year and that’s for one camera; you can rewind 7 days. Online and telephone support works.

Top notch results from very competitively priced webcam

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersThe actual camera is fantastic.
I bought mine to use with the Amazon Echo Show and it works great.
I knocked off two stars because the actual Netvue app on my Android phone is terrible.
It’s very buggy and crashes more times than it works.
I wouldn’t recommend buying this if you are just using it on an android phone untill they get the app working better.
    Not sure about iPhones.
    Update:
After using it a couple of days the app seems to be working much better so I will return the two stars.

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersThis is a high-quality indoor security.camera, and great for home use. The image quality with the 1080P camera is very crisp. With IR, it has good images in the dark and daylight. Video can be recorded to an SD Card or automatically uploaded to their NetVue cloud service. I purchased a 64Gb SD Card.

The mobile app is easy to use and navigate. It was very easy to add the camera using the QR code and connect to the WIFI network. . It includes an easy timeline for scrolling through the video. Note: You don’t need to remove the SD Card to review footage. You use the Android app to scroll through the video, and the app retrieves it from the SD card.

The camera includes motion detection, which works very well.

It’s also possible to remotely control the camera, upwards, downwards and 360 rotation, and zoom in and out. I also like the ability to capture snapshots and save to your phone photo album. I’ve used the camera to monitor the house when I’m away, and it’s great to be able to check-in on the house occasionally and make sure everything is okay.

For the price, this is a great camera. I’ve already recommended to family and friends.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe love our camera! We’ve bought it as a baby monitor for our impending new arrival and have linked it up with our Echo Shows and Echo Spots, which means we can view the nursery pretty much wherever we are in the house. The picture quality is good, even in night vision mode, which it enters automatically, when the ambient light begins to fade.

The tilt and zoom through the app is a bit hit and miss, which loses the camera one star in this review. Positioning the lens manually is pretty easy and reliable though.

One thing I will say is that we’ve also bought a couple of Hive View cameras, and have been really disappointed that they don’t link up with the Echo Shows/Spots – so the fact that the Netvue integrates with the Alexa devices easily and straight out of the box is a big tick in its favour. Very happy with our purchase

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks well but instructions need to be improved for first time installer. When you know how the camera is to be installed it’s fairly straight forward.

Camera works well bare in mind this is dependant on your internet connection speed, so please get your data cables checked, as they may need maintaince, upgrading or flushing of the data cables to clear the lines and make these cams work more efficiently.

It’s a good product and the cloud service is a good deal. However I wish I had the option to link it to my own independent server.

Needs more interactivity options with Alexa Show. As you can only view cams and you canot communicate or interact with them, as with the app on your phone.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis was a doddle to set up. I wanted to have something I could use to see who was coming up the garden path. This was because I have a bad knee and want to know how fast I have to move. If the postie arrives with a parcel I know I will have to get up and answer the door. If the postie only has letters I don’t need to get out the chair (lazy I know but remember my bad knee!) The angle of view is very good and the pan and tilt function is very useful if I did not notice someone opening the garden gate. The only issue I have experienced is that if the unit is placed straight on to a window the infra red ‘lights’ bounce back making it impossible to see anything. I am sure that angling the unit will eliminate this problem but the windowsill is rather narrow and getting the right angle will mean some experimenting. I am using a micro SD card which is great for transferring, or viewing images, to my laptop. I don’t record anything particularly important so I do not use the cloud storage facility. Thus far this is proving to be an excellent and very useful piece of tech. I shall update this review as future use warrants. Excellent value on a lightening deal. I shall be watching out for another so that I watch things in my back garden – both will be viewable on my iPhone and iPad.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this camera to replace the one I was using in the nursery, in order to have Alexa comparability. Set up was quick and simple, although actually mounting the camera to the sealing and the mount itself proved more of a challenge.
Set up with Alexa was also super simple to achieve. I haven’t been able to find anything on IFTTT for it in the UK however so not sure of that is live yet.

One thing I hadn’t quite appreciated was this camera uses an IR light ring which is visible when on, and the status light can’t be turned off, unlike my previous camera. Additionally, the camera doesn’t have an inbuilt privacy mode or off function so would need to use the wall plug for this.

I do enjoy the motion zones feature however that lets me pick which part of the room movement matters in. This significantly reduces the false positives from light moving from outside!

1080p wireless home security camera with two-way audio and night-vision function.

Viewing your home while away on vacation has never been easier and more cost effective than using these types of camera nowadays around the house and connected to wifi plugs so i can schedule what time they come on or at a press of a button switch on power continuously should i need to.

As a baby monitor i think it will be ok although i do not have baby young enough now to observe this may be perfect in the future to keep a eye on.

    1080p Pan/Tilt and tilt

    >HD 1080P (1920*1080) video at 25fps sounds great but in reality this camera is decent. Videos and photos can be recorded and playback via micro SD card( storage up to 64GB)
    >Extremely reliable Wifi that’s about it for this camera
    > 8x digital zoom with wide-angle for complete coverage but lacks clarity
Two-way audio is muffled talk and listen via mobile is not great

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersInitial setting up of this device was a bit complicated as it had many steps to follow, however the instruction were very clearly, so if you follow the step correctly you should have this connected without an issue. Being the impatient person that I am, I did not read the connection instruction carefully and managed to missed out on some step which led to installation failure; there was however a live chat that I was redirected to when I had the issue and this was built in to the app. With the help from the technical advisory in the live chat I was able to successfully pair the wireless cam to my network.

Great support using built in live chat and well written instruction.
