My grandson just passed his test so I bought him the same dashcam I have. Not the cheapest but great quality camera and excellent VFM. When movies downloaded you get good quality pictures from both front and rear cameras.
Its a good camera. It is possible to use a power bank to power this cam. You just need to buy a 2m USB cable. Try to find one that state its compatible with nextbase, as some usb cable with thick plastic head that you would not be able to plug it to the windshield holder. You can DIY hide the cable from windshield, route to the glove box and use any power bank even when parking.
The price is brilliant and the camera itself is worth every penny thought a sd card would come with it which was a down fall for this product but as soon as I bought a card and got it working I was thrilled !! The only other issue as well as the camera not coming with a sd card was the first stick didn’t last even a week so replaced with the second sticker it came with and it hasn’t moved thankfully
The wire to the rear camera was too thick for me to want to dig out the winscreen seal and floormats in order to fit it in my Merc. The quality and build was otherwise fine
This is an excellent camera and I, would recommend their are only a few small things tbat let it down. For example it is not compatible with the nextbase mobile app. It also does nit have as many features as the gw322 model which is a shame. But it is a very good camera for a very good price and I, would recommend it. The seller sent the item very quickly and it was well packaged. It is also very easy to set up.
Nothing much to dislike description could be clearer no suction cap including in this kit I personally didn’t find the menu very intuitive but overall very pleased

Great camera and picture quality , very easy to set up too
Front camera is spot on and exactly what you’d expect from nextbase, rear view camera however isn’t great, I have a 2018 Seat Leon and cannot set it up so that it covers my full rear windscreen, this could be different for other cars, it’s also a bit disappointing that it only runs nextbase SD cards. Other then that the front camera is great but going back I’d buy one with a proper rear view camera
Bought this as an exact replacement for the one that was stolen recently. It’s easy to install and setup. The wire plugs directly into the cigarette lighter socket.
Minimal setup required, only adjusting the time and date and you are ready to go.
Records both front and back for peace of mind

This camera is really easy to use, not only the front camera but you get a rear clip on one, will need to get a decent 64GB Micro SD Card, they are about 6.
Please charge your camera for two hours firstly or you will struggle when setting up.
It’s real easy to install, place passenger side near centre windscreen top by rear view mirror, then cable manage camera with the tool to push cable under trim (roof trim then door trim then along under glove box to power source) and then power up in cigarette lighter slot. A massive bonus is the USB slot in the charge head. Huge bonus that!
Once installed you can set up via onscreen menus, the defaults are fine, I just increase clip length to 2 minutes.
You can also turn off voice recording unless you want to hear your kids singing We Don’t Talk About Bruno.
Overall this dash cam is decent, the price is pretty spot on, but if you want WiFi connection via app, you will need to pay an extra 90 eeeeek.

It’s lacks the frills of more expensive dash cams but the quality is good, quite unobtrusive compared with the 422 which I had previously & very easy to fit.
This is a good piece of kit which is badly let down by the adhesive pad. The mount needs to be placed in the required position first time. If it is removed the pad will not stick again. I’ve tried various replacement pads without luck so the dashcam is useless at the moment.
Although 1080p hd, it needs better clarity and 4K would be an improvement.
I originally bought a cheaper dashcam on Black Friday but that just failed to record things randomly so I threw it away and got this instead. So far it has been flawless. Would definitely recommend!

Great little camera. Easy to install. Shame it really only works well with the Nextbase SD cards that you have to buy separately. Other than that it seems a great little package. Coverage from camera is really good too and far better than my last dashcam. The price is also a lot more reasonable than the competition.

Overall it’s a good product.
One small complaint is that sometimes the rear view camera sometimes is not detected so it has to be disconnected and reconnected to the front camera.
Another is the camera is too sensitive in parking mode and keeps turning on when nothing has touched the car.
This is a good camera and records very well. The videos are clear and easy to upload. It’s not easy to hide the cable in some cars, and I’ve had to tape mine to the interior which works, but is not pleasing to the eye. Not a huge consideration in my eyes but worth taking into account.
The most disappointing aspect is that the rear camera will not record because my rear window is tinted. This is a big let down, as I paid extra for the second camera, and I especially wanted it after the rear of the car was crashed into by another vehicle.
If you need a rear camera and have a tinted window, best to look specifically for one that will work with tints.
eeded a new dash cam liked the look of nextbase so read the reviews .i liked the 622gw too expensive and too many options .so to the best rated 222 easy to use easy to follow instructions .it didnt take to long to fit in car and start using well pleased
After having Nextbase 212 for over 5 years it was time to buy new dashcam, because the old one was down. I bought some cheap one from amazon but quickly sent it back due to poor picture quality.
Once I got Nextbase I can see huge difference and that’s what I wanted. The picture quality is great, both days and nights. Easy to install. Works fine. 5 star dashcam.
