Was sceptical going for this camera, but I know nextbase are the ‘go to’ choice for a dash cam. Purchased a U3 SD card for it (no need to buy nextbase’s own card) and fitted it with a hardwire kit easily. (Sold separately)
The video is easy to remove from the camera plugging it into a computer and the quality is impressive for the price.
The mount is good how it’s magnetic and it also comes with and extra sticky pad for the mount if you get a new car or replacement windscreen which is handy.

I had this model dashcam in my last car and liked it, so this one is being hardwired in my car next week, its nice and small produces excellent quality video and stills does all that I need at a reasonable price.
Arrived on time. Easy to set up and the quality of picture is good. Liked the fact that the screen shows front and back image at the same time. Was fed up with cars getting to close at the back, there are some idiots on the road. Waiting to see if it is a deterrent , but feel safer that i have got views front and back. Chose the disc recommended by Amazon no problems in installing it.

The camera was bought after reading lots of reviews. The price was great and the delivery very quick.
Decided to upgrade to this model after having a bad experience with the 122 dash cam – which refused to format any sd card I tried ( faulty unit probably).
This one accepted the sd straight away and works great. Next base recommend you use their official sd card but I used an Integral which works just the same.
The picture quality is ok and clear enough for what your paying for.
Set up is easy and you can transfer your footage to your computer without fuss.
I love this camera. Easy to install and configure. The magnet is very strong and took me by surprise when I first tried to remove the camera after a journey. But I’m used to it now and it’s great!

I bought this dashcam to replace my old Nextbase camera that had died suddenly after a brief illness. I wouldn’t be without a camera in my car these days, this one is smaller than my last and hardly noticeable on the windscreen. The setup is easy and straightforward, even for an oldie like me. The big selling point for me was the integrated rear view camera – no messing around with clips and wires, just stick it to the windscreen and plug it in.
Purchased to replace an old next base dash cam, very straightforward to install and up and running in less than half an hour. New adhesive mount very neat and hopefully will avoid the former problem of the suction cup falling off in direct sunshine. Slightly disappointed that the old next base hard wiring kit could not be used as the connector at the camera end is too large to plug into the new mount.
The camera quality is the best I have seen compared to other dash cams that I have come across
This is my second next dash cam and works very well. Installation was easy and I hard wired it.
For the size does the job,it’s a pity it’s not got Bluetooth enabled for rear camera as when visor down, rear camera doesn’t work, but it it’s a good piece of equipment.
Tried quite a few different ones in the past until I have finally decided to go for something decent and reputable as the other ones keep breaking down. This works just as it should be and making driving on the road much safer (to protect yourself)

If run from the cigarette lighter the adapter take away the ability to charge phones and adapter is chunky

This camera works very well and produces a clear sharp recording.
It’s very good value for money considering it’s front and rear recording. The features it has are all I require and I’ve never thought it was lacking any other features such as WiFi and gps.
All I wanted was a camera to record the situation if I was in an accident or if my car was damaged while parked.
I found it very easy to install after looking on YouTube for installation hints.
For the money it’s worth it.
Good quality. Fairly easy to install but takes up a lot of windscreen space with the rear camera module fitted.
Reasonably easy to set up and use. Don’t like the magnet attachment – bit stiff to attach and the removable cover is easy to lose.
I’ve always had a next base dash cam but decided to upgrade as I upgraded my car, the camera works very well is very easy to set up like their other dash cams.
Bought this when I upgraded my car. A car reversed into mine while it was parked and it was able to capture the 3rd party vehicle. Would highly recommend
Upgraded from a 212 to this, which covers the front and rear. If you havnt got a dash cam or are looking to upgrade then Nextbase are a quality product.
As for the 212, it’s going in my 21 yr old Corsa

This is a fantastic Dash Cam and it does exactly what is asked for. Nextbase in my personal opinion is a very good manufacturer of Dash Cams and various spares too. The only minor issue is the fact that you can’t view the footage on your iPad using the Nextbase App with this particular model, however I have managed to purchase a micro sd card to iPad adaptor but I haven’t tried it as of yet. Other than that the video and camera on it are excellent quality but you do have to remember to format the sd card every two weeks. A great dash cam at a very reasonable price and it gives you that extra piece of mind and security when driving.

This is the second 222 I’ve bought, they work well clear images, remember to charge it for two hours before use cable included. Has two options to mount magnetic and suction. Happy Days!

Easy to install and set up. I remove it the actual camera when I leave the car. It comes off easily without having to remove the suction cup. You need to buy an SD card to go with it.
I have had Next base dash cams before for other vehicles and always found them good. This was for my works van. It was easy to set up and easy to fit.
At this time I do not have anything bad to say about this item.
Worth knowing before buying: it seems you can’t use the cam without a memory SD card which doesn’t come with the product. So you have to buy it separately before you can use it.
It’s a very neat bit of kit but I can’t speak for its quality as it needs an SD card which wasn’t supplied so I have to wait for a card to arrive- I wish the advert had mentioned that this dash cam would arrive incomplete and needing an expensive SD card.

Bought this to replace an older dash cam, after reading reviews from WHICH . Nice compact size, very easy to operate via Menu button. I fitted a top quality Micro SD card in it which performs well, overall picture quality appears to be very good. Supplied with suction or adhesive fitting bracket. The Camera is easily attached to its mounting by magnetic grip, but a little awkward when removing. I also purchased a ‘ Hard Wire ‘ kit, so it operates when starting the car.
Good quality picture. Make sure your window inside is clean before you put it on the window with the suction as it may come lose.

Only just installed it, so not tested for picture quality yet, but I’m not expecting any issues. I have an older Nextbase in another car, with the slide-in powered suction mount, which at the time was a great innovation. This latest magnetic stick-on mount is a huge step forward from that, much more compact, with a really strong magnet and spare adhesive pad provided. It’s functions are quite limited, but that’s all I need, and I thought it was great value. I bought a Sandisc Max Endurance SD card, specifically designed for dashcams, and saved some money over the pricey Nextbase SD cards they’d like you to use.
Serious value for money, great bit of kit, rear view quality not so great but front facing is very good, easy to fit and certainly in my car is discreet when looking from the outside in.
Easily set up and does what it claims with ease.
I used the sticky pad and boy does it stick, also the magnet is another excellent item joining the camera to the shoe.
It just works, as it should. No annoying issues like lights that are too bright , or glaring screen. Worth the money, as I’ve experienced how a GBP 25 device is after the Nextbase.
Take care with position on screen, placed mine a bit close to the dark area used by the rain and light sensors so obstructs camera a little suggest using the removable holder first before fixing permanently.
I purchased this to replace my old next base dash cam. It is very good and very easy to set up. It comes with the plug for a cigarette lighter but I prefer to hard wire it which requires additional wiring. Luckily the old hard wire fitted. You need a small memory card and within minutes it’s fitted and ready to go.
Dash cam is basic but for the price it is worth the money

Great little gadget. Much better having the connected rear camera compared to the hardwired rear camera I previously had on the 512, which interfered with my dab radio. Recommend, so easy to install.
This is a superb dash cam. I’m of the older generation and was fretting about my ability to set it up and install it, I need’nt have worried. It is childs play and the quality of the images and scope of the camera is brilliant.
There are many dash cams on the market and I opted for a middle of the road price and I could’nt be more pleased with my purchase. You will be pleased you decided on this one though I expect all Nextbase products will be of a high standard based on the quality of this model.

I had an older 222 but this one is so neat. You hardly notice it from inside or out.
Absolutely perfect dash can for the price, replaced an older camera of the same brand which was ailing would deffo buy again.
The Nexbase user software is a bit fiddly, and not so easy to use.
Purchased as a present so unable to comment on picture quality as yet. Arrived promptly and well packaged.

It,s a pity the rear view camera is not a separate one ,which which would fit on the rear window.
Like with any dash cam, the value will only become apparent if ever proof is needed to probably contradict someone else’s viewpoint, or confirm your own :-), in the sad event of someone’s loss. The quality is good for the price and with it being easy to fit and, most important to me, unobtrusive, it was no hassle and looks good. The timer on mine is a little fast and needs calibration each month (less than 2 minutes over 31 days), but all the images are captured in any case.
This is a great dash cam, bought it because of the rear view too and it is very good quality.
The rear takes a clear shot that is very useful, sound is acceptable too.

his is perfect for everyone and anyone that is driving these days. It was easy to install but you would need to be comfortable with this type of work. I did make one mistake, I didn’t realise that for 330 and above you can purchase a rear camera but for the 220 you can’t.
I am super happy with NBDVR222 Dashcam. I never leave home in the car without it in place. I love the new improved sleek design & the amazingly easy yet secure magnetic attachemnet is a brilliant idea. And it all fits nicely in the Nextbase dash cam case i also bought. The suction cup works perfectly as does the polorising filter and the 12v power lead is plenty long enough. I shall be buying another to go in our next new car, so all-in-all thank you for a “Brilliant” product.
Needed a new dash cam after existing one no longer wrote to sd card, after some research it became clear that nextbase was a quality product and selected the 222 model owning to its price and quick release mechanism, was not disappointed, very pleased with this product.

Bought this when my older more expensive one was stolen last week. Works great so far and magnetic fitting makes it easy to use. Not easy to remove the charging cable though so I do worry it will attract thieves as I just leave the cable in situ.
Good design, takes less space on the screen than many other designs. Menu controls take a while to get used to. Picked this model as j really just needed a dashcam with parking sensor. Many other more expensive cameras have unnecessary features.
The new webcam was so easy to instal both the saftware and physical camera. Now a case of installed and forget unless we have an incident. Very pleaded.
It does its job perfectly, records in high quality with minimal compression. Number plates can be read clearly, even at night, and covers a good wide angle of view. It’s like a condom, better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!!
Vastly superior to the old nextbase 112. Far more features and better image.
