I simply wanted an easy to use relatively inexpensive dash cam for my daily commute. It’s 1080hd which I believe is quite sufficient for everyday use. I have a Gopro for footage I want to use or keep. It was easy to fit, and as I wanted to ‘hard wire’ I also bought a hard wire kit by Nextbase which made a professional finish very easy. I’ve mounted the camera behind the rear view mirror and can scarcely see it, and the wiring is completely hidden.
I personally had no trouble at all connecting through their app, although some other reviewers seem to have had bother with it. (plenty of help on YouTube)
Camera and accessories all appear to be good quality and the pictures are excellent.
Given that ultimately I hope I’ll never actually NEED it, I wasn’t goi g to spend a fortune on a load of unnecessary features that in the more expensive cams.
I would have preferred to have awarded 4.5 stars, simply because there’s no sd card supplied. In fairness this is made quite clear on the box and description, but given that a card isn’t an optional extra, it seems a bit ‘off’ that you’ve buy one for the cam to work at all. Further more, they really push their own expensive ones!
Good camera, terrible battery
Camera is fine, easy to use, set up and forget. video is not pretty, but good enough for evidence. App is awful but you knew that already right? Just use the SD card to transfer files.
It may as well not have “Parking mode” because the battery only lasts about 10 minutes on or 8 hours off. Now I think of it, I wonder if the battery on mine is faulty. Oh, probably too late to make a fuss.

The front and rear cameras are very easy to install. The rear camera plugs in to the front camera so only 1 power source is required. The video quality is excellent as are photos. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for front and rear dashcams
It does its job well.
I had a Viofo before and it was a troublesome little brute; weird updates, unreliable and, at one stage sent back for replacement which took 6 weeks.
This thing just works – great quality, speed, time, date and location are recorded and dead easy to fit. Frankly finding anything that just works like it’s supposed to is a win in your life!

After replacing this with an older Nextbase Dash Cam I was very impressed with how much they had improved in 4 years. Picture quality is excellent and the camera attachment to the windscreen is a 100% improvement. No more wobble, very secure. I added the rear camera which just clicks into the side of the main camera. Really simple – Really easy to use.

Superb little camera, tucks away and easy to install and set up. Very pleased so far. Hope we don’t need it. Also purchased the install hard wire kit, they have made this very easy and user friendly to hard wire the camera into the car.

The Nextbase 322GW Dash Cam is not the top of the Nextbase range but it has everything I need. It feels well made and solid, picture and sound quality is very good and fitting is simple. I am not aware of the prices of dashcams but I think this is mid range but appears more premium than that.

Camera works well. It sometimes doesn’t display the live cameras on the screen which made me worry that one or both cameras weren’t recording. Both cameras so work however but form some reason the display randomly doesn’t display the feed.
Nextbase Connect app is not the bes
The camera its self is a good looking sturdy bit of kit. I bought this 322GW camera because I thought it sounded simple to operate and install. When it comes to the supporting app it seems to do what it wants, when it wants!
Firstly, installing the camera. I have a Honda CRV which has a huge section behind the interior mirror that is blanked off. My first try at placing the camera was ok but in reality I could see the bonnet of the car, so I removed the camera and placed it right at the top of the screen on the passenger side. (See picture) Because of the wide angle lens on the camera I can still see some of the bonnet on recordings, but its ok.
I then went about the business of downloading the Nextbase Connect app and tried to connect my iPhone 8+. Rather than sit in your car and try connecting phone to camera I suggest you connect them both into plug sockets indoors. Unfortunately I had numerous problems so I phoned Nextbase Support. They were excellent and guided me through different procedures to help me get started. One thing I learnt from them was, when you are at the end of your tether, uninstall everything and start again. On the last occasion it was successful.
Now to THE MAIN PAIN! When you try to see what you have recorded, the annoying thing is you keep getting the message ‘Trying to connect to Bluetooth’ You cant just turn your phone on and its instantly connected. Down loading your scenes to your computer is another thing that could be explained more fully in tutorials. I have spent 4 days watching Youtube to get tips from owners and Nextbase themselves about this Dash Cam. Fortunately if you Google your problem someone has the answer but if all else fails contact Nextbase Support-THEY ARE BRILLIANT!

Really good dashcam, much better than the previous model in the other car purchased 5 years ago. Good quality videos, especially with the anti glare filter option. Asked the garage to install the connection to the fuse board. Completed the wiring to the rear camera myself. Neat and not too difficult. Turns on with the ignition. No need to touch it once setup how I like. Works a treat, no problems.

Excellent Camera!
I bought this to replace my very old Nextbase twin duo which was an excellent camera over the 12 or so years I used it. I only changed because, as it has been out of production for a long time, I could not replace the broken in-car charger as it was an old camera connection type. I have NOT been disappointed! This front & rear camera was so easy to set up in my car. The video/still pictures are so very clear on playback on my tablet & TV. Registration numbers of other cars following/in front are easy to read and adjustment of cameras to suit is also easy. I downloaded the app to my android phone which I could not do with my old camera and this too, was easy to set up. Again playback pictures on my phone are precise and clear and connection to the app has been quick so far. I have only just started using this camera but so far everything is as I want and/or need. Yes, it is advisable to purchase and use Nextbase micro card as some cards don’t work but – why would you not! I certainly give this 5 stars on all accounts.

The camera came with the wrong cable to fit the rear camera to the front camera. I was refunded for that bit and able to buy a new cable with the refunded money. Other than that all was good.

Camera is brilliant, the mount, not so much
Camera is easy to set up and with the polarising filter, takes good hi quality video. BUT…. The adhesive pads on the mounting bracket melts in mildy hot weather and results in the camera sliding down the windscrean on what looks like ‘Stretch Armstrong’.

The supplied magnetic mounting bracket was easily installed at the top middle of the windscreen and the cable supplied was long enough to reach the plug in socket without causing any problems.

It has a motion sensor which can turn on for van entry or for van impact and can send data to your mobile phone, and even automatically alert rescue services in the event of an emergency. Yes it can talk to you via Alexi if required.
Daylight picture quality is excellent and so is low light morning or evening but night imagine is impaired by oncoming bright head lights but is back to being ok with the normal van headlights. Picking out vehicle number plates is not an issue.
It did not come with a storage disk but we grabbed a max capacity SanDisk as per the Nextbase spec. But as it rewrites over previous data this open capacity should last for a long time.
So, over the last few months our Son has been able to witness and help with downloading to the Police road accidents, road traffic abuse, and recorded parking abuse for other vehicles that have suffered damage.
Plus as an alternative to us having to watch Eastenders we can view and enjoy his recordings of the various driving abuse.

Upgrading my current dashcam nextbase 222 to the 322gw which has more functionality and a touch screen. Very pleased with it so far. The only issue was a discover that the micro Sd card and the rear view camera from the 222 are not upwardly compatible. So had to purchase an sd card. Needs to be a U3 or above. 20.00 from Halfords 32 gig. New rear view camera cost me 49.00.
The GW seems to work with the app and set up was straight forward. You don’t get a manual, and have to down load one.
It was missing the front dust cover to protect the connections when not connected to the car. Spoke with Amazon and they gave me a 5.00 refund

I’ve hardwire fitted this to a BMW 320d with a rear view camera too.
I initially had a issue with the DAB radio signal not working when I had the cameras switched on. That was down to the rear camera being close to the fin Ariel. A clip on ferrite core on to the rear camera cable solved that. I just need to do similar with the rear window heater as switching both the that and the camera on kills the DAB signal too.

The SOS Interface connection between camera and your phone is fickle and intermittent.
Support from company re this is good and connection does resolve for period of time. However, still getting connection problems.
Doubtful if I will pay for SOS renewal subscription!!!!

Great kit – but – it does not come with the micro SD card, Nextbase try and sell you their SD cards which are very expensive. Other SD cards for a third of the price are available PROVIDED you go for the right SD spec.

Mines a lease vehicle so has to be plug and go. Works on a cigarette type plug and comes on with the ignition. Easy to install and use. Average picture quality but does the job. Not very good at connecting to phone though, better on a laptop

Great litte camera
Bought for a long drive back to Ireland via ferry. Been meaning to get one for some time and had other brands in the past. my brother recommedned this one and I have to say I am very happy. The power mount with the 3M pads is great and keeps the camera out of the way behind my rear view mirror.
Only issues is that you need to make sure you get the right SD card for dash cams, as no card comes with this one. It HAS to be the right specc. My first card died after a week becuse is was just a standard SD card

Well built and easy to set up, once it’s set up you can just forget about it as it turns itself on and off with the ignition switch.
I tried to use my old memory card and the existing power cable from my previous cam, neither worked ,it has to have a U3 memory card and it’s own power cable, then it works fine.
I’ve heard people say Nextbase cams take pictures by themselves if the car jolts or bumps, I haven’t experienced that yet, maybe I’m just a very smooth driver?
Front and back cameras are held on by magnets, makes the front one easy to mount and dismount if required, makes the back one a bit easy to displace, I’ve had to have a couple of goes at positioning it and it’s cable so it doesn’t move when I open the back, there isn’t much cable between the back camera and the jack plug connection with the power cable which limits the positions the cam can go if you don’t want the jack plug dangling down the back window as you can’t hide it under the window trim.
Mounts are stuck to the window with a sticky pad, these seem very secure but I can’t comment on how easy they are to reposition.
Brilliant camera for peace of mind driving
Bought for someone who recently passed their test to safeguard them following some local incidents of vehicles reversing on highways and crash for cash targeting young drivers.
Camera is great quality with a decent picture.
Next base app links the camera to your phone for video sharing a, go’s location etc.
Camera is excellent quality and although fiddly to fit, this was more to do with hiding wires than anything else.
Rear camera lead is very long to cope with all sorts of vehicles which left a load of cable to hide.
Mounting brackets are great and easy to mount. Came with spare adhesive pads too in case you love the camera or have to move it.
Overall a decent option and much better than budget ones on the market.
Excellent Dashcam
I bought this dashcam as a replacement for my previous one which had finally given up. This camera is far superior in every way. The unit is very good quality and the picture quality is superb. Although very well featured the supplied instructions are clear and the touch screen makes installation and setup straightforward. You need to buy a micro SD card and I opted for the maximum size of 128 GB which is ideal for recording at the highest resolution without recordings being over written too quickly. The price from Amazon was very competitive. Overall I am very pleased with this dashcam which represents great value for money and does everything I need. Highly recommended.

well made product, this is “made”, not thrown together, all parts fit together nicely, nice easy “legible” instructions, quality item, perhaps a bit over priced for a dashcam a few years old, but the old motto applies here………….buy CHEAP, buy TWICE.
Good produc
I fitted this in a Audi A6 Avant along with the rear facing camera that clips into the unit.
The risk was that the quality of the rear view camera wouldn’t be good enough, however the video is very clear.
Unit fitted on the left of my mirror. The PC software allows you to zoom in, take a screen shot etc. Very good quality product. Easy to install if you use there hardware kit. Took about 30 mins
Excellent value for money but reading a number plate from the video could be a challenge
Seems like really good value for the money and pretty easy to setup, install and use. The downside of the 140degree fish eye lens is that reading number plate is going to be difficult unless the car in question gets very close.
Dash Cam
I bought this Nextbase 322GW for safety and security reasons in my car. The price for what it does is very reasonable. I’ve not yet had it for a week so am unable to say too much about it, hence the 4 stars. It switches on when I start my engine and off when I stop the engine. I found it easy to set up following the on screen instructions. It doesn’t appear to show much information on the screen. Where my old one showed the time and date, this doesn’t Picture quality is good in daylight, I haven’t tried it in the dark yet. Good value for money. arrived the day after I ordered it.
Great value, nice dash cam package
This dashcam was bought to replace my daughters existing one that had broken. I have recently purchased this same camera for my car so knew the camera was a good one. We’re in the process of buying a new car for my daughter so have not hard wired it in her old car, but are using the plug in at present. Will have it installed properly in the new car and, fingers crossed, have it working without the plug. Great value for money with the kit to wire in and the memory card. Very pleased so far!
Neat and compac
Seems fine, compact easy to install, only time will tell but fine at present, UPDATE, app to download is useless, easiest way is to remove SD card and put it into your PC. I wouldn’t have bought it if I’d have known you had to do this to get the information, look at the app reviews on playstore before you buy.
I'm not easily impressed but...
This Nextbase dashcam is a revelation! My previous experience was with multiple other unknown-brand devices such as Toguard, which were perfectly adequate but nothing special. After using three such devices in 3 family vehicles, when one failed after two years, I decided to try out a better know brand and looked at Nextbase. It was only 30 more than I usually paid so gave it a try and I have to say that the 322GW is an order of magnitude better than the likes of the Toguard. The app is fantastic, it auto downloads clips and auto connects wifi to the device – this isn’t exactly rocket science but is a joy to use after my previous experiences. There are other areas where the attention to detail surprised, such as the mounting options and power connectivity.
The Nextbase device is so much better than the others that I will replace them over the coming months even though the old devices still work. I am a very happy customer.
Confusing to set up
Despite warnings of difficulty to set up we still bought this camera for its GPS and Speed Data. Nearly returned this item because of lack of simple set up details on Pdf and YouTube. Now appears to be working like the older simpler model.

It is far easier and quicker to remove SD card and connect to laptop. Also you need to record in a lower quality mode if you want to download to phone. You can still have the high quality download as well as the lower quality recordings [Dual File setting] but it takes up more space on the SD card which isn’t really necessary.
The camera integral battery does not have much life in it. A hard wired permanent supply which senses when the ignition is off would to prevent a flat car battery would be a better option. This can be done but it leaves the camera in permanent record mode.
The software for the laptop isn’t too bad but a Time Lapse facility on playback would be interesting and a bit of fun. Time lapse is available in the camera settings but this can’t be used in conjunction with normal recording and is not suitable for evidence in the case of a collision or other incident.
All in all a decent bit of kit.
Hi quality products at superb prices
Purchased this dash cam and received the following day, once again, Amazon gives superb delivery times.
The product is of high quality, it feels and looks expensive, has many features and options. I would have expected to pay more but didn’t and that was a bonus.
I also purchased the rear-view Camera that simply plugs in and the hard wired wiring kit to enable the Dash Cam to be permanently receive power for when parked up. The Camera will take shots if the car is knocked front or rear whilst in a car park. This is just one of the superb features this Camera has.
Well worth the money, don’t buy cheap and regret as i did once, pay a little more and get superb quality.

Great product at great price
So my old NextBase dashcam finally died (internal battery) so I bought this as a replacement. Half the size, much easier to use (touch screen), much easier removal (magnetic mount). Unfortunately, my old dashcam power cable didn’t fit the new mount so I had to install the new cable which is mildly annoying and fiddly, but at least you get a tool to help. Good to have choice of adhesive or sucker mounting – I chose the former because it places the camera higher up and makes it less obtrusive / visible from outside. Do make sure you get a decent compatible SD card – preferably at least 32GB.
I think the 322GW is the sweet spot in the range – I don’t need voice control etc. – it just gets on with the job.
Great, just get right sim card.
Great product and much cheaper than halfords 300+ one. Husband installed but said was simple. The only thing I would advise is the sim card, as it wont accept any ones apart from what it states. See buy together. Lowered my insurance and catches the idiots on the road including cyclists and pedestrians who walk out. A good buy.
Great Dash Cam
We decided to buy a pair of Nextbase 322GW dash cams when one of our previous cameras decided to die on us.
I wish that we had upgraded to these Nextbase cameras years ago. The picture quality is great, as is the additional functionality that comes with the phone app integration.
Downloading videos from the camera to your phone via wifi is simple and relatively quick.
Overall a good camera with some great features.
Just in case
I purchased the 322GW as a present for my son, after looking at the customer and professional reviews. He’d been talking about getting one ‘just in case’ he needed some protection in case of a collision. He’s used it every day since receiving it, using his car for work and pleasure, and has shown me the images from the camera in varying light. Sharp images. A variety of features allowing the camera to be used an accessed under many conditions. For the average driver, it’s unlikely you’d need more than this dashcam. Recommended.
Must have
So easy to install and the little tool is very handy. I purchased this for my husband and he loves it. The quality of the image is outstanding and it is sensitive and automatically turns on when you open the car door. Fantastic buy, fantastic value.
Easy install, good pictures too
This was easy to install into my car, the instructions went out the window and I followed some advice on YouTube.
Camera turns off automatically about 10 seconds after I kill the engine, the image/video quality is surprisingly good too! I really like the software that comes with it too… not that you need it, but it’s got some nice features in it.
I would recommend this, although I think if I had to get another one I’d get the most recent version of it… it’s defo worth the spend if you’re thinking about getting a dash cam!
Quality product and accessories
I have been using cheapo dash cams with odd names for a few years now.. and have suffered them falling off their mounts when driving along or the picture/recording freezing mid-journey frequently. So I decided to bite the bullet with a Nextbase 322GW. Straight away you can feel the quality of the product and it’s mount, and when using it, the quality of the picture and recording are far superior. Plus, GPS and Bluetooth linking to the smartphone app, makes it a great buy. This product also has an emergency alert feature should you have a serious accident (3months free subscription). For under 100, it’s a bit of a no brainier!
Its still there
Installed yesterday (11.8.20) its still attached to the window even after all the thunderstorms!
Easy enough to install and fit with good clear instructions provided.
The images seem of good quality and capture the perfect area on the roadway, but they have not been viewed as yet as I await a micro sd card to capture such, so I will update this when quality of the finished item is known, but for now seems clear and perfect.
Product not like other cheap versions and appears sturdily built, worth that extra few pounds at least so far, update to follow.
Works very well
I bought this together with the rear camera and fitted both at the same time. Pretty easy and straightforward to fit providing you have somewhere to tuck the wires to hide them. One thing to be aware of is that you need a u3 rated micro SD card, I originally ordered a u1 (Doh) and it wouldn’t cut it (warning message comes up) when using both front and rear cameras at the same time.
Picture quality is great, and despite many negative reviews about the phone app, I got it to work quite easily (ios)

This is a great camera. I have a 512gw and I would suggest this is an upgrade.
I was able to easily fit it to my Astra fuse box with a kit I bought additional and the read camera wire is thin enough to feed through the runner that runs through to the boot so I could stick it to the rear window. 5*
Apart from an excellent picture and the ability to take up 128gb micro SD cards, my (our) favourite improvement with this is how so so easy it is to put in and take down. The new magnetic connector is simplicity and even better it doesn’t alter the position of the holder so there’s no readjustment necessary. In addition the smaller but far better suction cap is much better. Full marks, no wonder Which? rated it as a “Best Buy”.

Really easy to install with no visible cables, works well one set up with no fuss, pailys for itself if you ever need it and gives you added piece of mind. Only issue I’ve had is the accelerometer is not very good at deciding what’s a crash and what’s a muddy farm track or speed bump. It tends to protect and fill up the memory card with false positives after a few weeks so occasional formatting is necessary.

I have found this to be very easy to set up and use. It is almost ready to use straight from the box it just needs a couple of things to set up and needs to be fully charged before it’s first use. The picture quality is very good, the playback mode is easy. The magnetic mount that is used is extremely strong to the point where it could pull the suction holder off the windscreen, probably best to use the other support if you don’t have to change vehicles.
A quality feel to this camera, instructions are dissapointing and too brief. It says to charge camera before use but how can u do this if when it’s connected to the power it turns on!
There are helpful videos online that are made by 3rd parties that help you with the settings and installation. I hardwired mine and it was tricky but helped by YouTube. There should be some dedecated videos by nextbase that are linked to!
Can take a while to connect to phone to download files and the gshock is too sensitive. Also had to turn off parking mode as evertime its on opening and closing the door sets off the camera and it quickly fills up with protected files.

Bought this for my own car and the picture quality is great with an amazing viewing angle too. Easily captures all of the road ahead and peripheral area too.
Easy menu to navigate, simple to set up and install. I would highly recommend having no less than a 16gb class 10 micro sd card (which is not supplied). Great wifi feature although not essential, but a simple app let’s you view in real time what the camera sees and easy to download any footage required. Really happy with this dash cam and highly recommend
Great product for not a loot of money. Like the idea of being able to use a larger memory card than some of the other products from nextbase. Smartphone app and Bluetooth facility work well and make life easy. Would recommend to anyone.
Great buy
Does everything I expected of it. Good software. Straightforward to install and operate. I ordered a hardwire cable and ran it back to the fusebox on my Sorento under the dash. The cable comes with two fuse socket sizes.
Battery Life
The settings were easy to follow,and had it set up and running in no time.
The battery life on my device is pathetic,I ran it plugged into the car charger
for a few hours, and when I checked it unplugged it turned it’s self straight off??
I downloaded the footage onto PC and was well happy with that.
I left it plugged into the pc all day,and when unplugged the battery was still dead
Don’t know if any body else has thia problem, or if Iv’e just got a duff battery.
Other wise worth the money, not quite 5*.

An excellent device at a fair price. Reproduction of images is first class, even in dark or dull/wet driving conditions. Easy to fit, set up and operate. For optimum performance, I found it best to format the card every 4 weeks or so and to replace the SD car about every 18 months.
Decent camera and improvement on nextbase series 1
Good product. Wi-Fi connection to iPhone is a little but hit and miss and drops connection frequently.
Image is good and an improvement from the series one models.
Touch screen is a little bit fiddly but not a show stopper.
Overall a decent product.
Rear camera cabling is slightly annoying and no removable suction mount as with the front camera so you have to stick it with the pads provided and it’s hard to get a good angle for image.
Bought this for my daughters birthday for her new car, this is a top of the range product and also liked by Which.

Dash cams we have had previously were poor quality and not very reliable but these Nextbase ones seem to be ideal. We downloaded the app and desktop software and both are very easy to use and self explanatory. The hardwire kit is easy to install and comes with a handy tool to gently lever back the trim around the dashboard and down to the fuse box allowing insertion of the cable. Two different fuse connectors were provided to suit different types of vehicle, but with our second car being a Nissan, we had to make a quick phone call to the Nextbase helpline for advice. They sent us a mini fuse connector free of charge as the kit didn’t include that type as it wasn’t one of the common ones. This was sent to us within 48 hours which was great. The dash cam itself is ideal and includes parking mode which we never expected. This records any activity around the car while it’s left unattended. Also, the G sensor is designed to lock the recording on the memory card in the event of a collision so it won’t be overwritten in error. Good quality image at 1080 res and the recording captures the speed, time and direction in teal time. The in built microphone picks up good sound. The app allows you to send footage across to a smartphone via WiFi which is great for sending clips by email or via any messaging service. Only had the product for 2 weeks but so far no complaints and would definitely recommend. Seems good value for money too, although there was a promotional price on when we bought.

Excellent camera, Updating is easy using the pc software which can be downloaded from the website, I believe you can use the app for updating but haven’t tried this yet, Yes the camera does take time to connect but I had no problems with disconnecting. I also brought the nextbase memory card and hardwire kit which had no problems installing

I also found the camera runs quite hot, so turned the video down to 30fps. The camera was really easy to install and setup. I’m surprised how good the picture quality is. It helps me feel more comfortable driving knowing that if there is a problem, I’ll have footage to show who was at fault or what happened. I also bought the kit to hardwire the camera to the car, I would advise doing this as having it plugged into the lighter socket is distracting because of the wire hanging down.
