Besser als AIO und jeden Cent We
Noctua ist Bekannt fr seine High End Khllsungen und ich bin nach AIO und interner DIY Wasserkhlung wieder bei einem Noctua NH-D15S fr meinen Ryzen 9 5900X gelandet. Ja, er braucht Platz und ja, er ist hochpreisig. Aber hat man den Platz relativiert sich der Preis recht schnell wieder mit dem unglaublich guten Support den Noctua bietet. Neuer Sockel? Kein Probem. Rechnungskopie an Noctua und das passende Montagekit kommt frei Haus. Sogar fr meinen uralten NH-U12P von 2009, der aktuell einen Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G in meiner Workstation khlt, gibt es noch eine Sockel AM4 Halterung. Die Lfter und das reichhaltige Zubehr suchen ebenso ihresgleichen. Whrend meine AIO’s usw. deutlich bei annhernd denselben Temperaturen zu hren waren, chillt (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) der NH-D15S mit seinem einzelnem NF-A15 PWM Lfterzwischen 700- und 900rpm.

1.two inner most RAM slots gets covered by the cooler (this could block the RGB of RAMs when looked directly perpendicular to the cooler but the side view – we can see all four RAMs and RGB as well unless we use additional fan)
2. The m.2 slot connecting the cpu is easily accessible even on the over kill Aorus master board

Does what it's designed to do
This thing is much larger than I thought.. so glad it fit in my case! It was extremely easy to install and does a great job of cooling the CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 5800x) and it looks great with the additional white cover plates (available separately for.. well.. more than I told the gf)
Best cooler I've ever owned. Better than AIOs.
Temperatures are 15-20c better than the 240mm AIO I previously had installed. And it’s so much quieter too. I just leave the fan on static 30% and it’s still giving amazing performance.
I took an Amazon Prime trial and got it delivered just 15 hours after ordering.

Anyway the essence is that for an i5-12600k, Asus ROG Strix z690 Gaming Wifi D4 & Fractal Design 7 Compact case it works better than an AIO although when I add a graphics card later there might be issues.
Installation of the backplate was challenging with the motherboard in situ. This is an issue common to my motherboard/case combination so isn’t Noctuas fault.
I added a 120mm fan using the included clips (actually I thought the original fan wasn’t working so this was a stopgap that I retained). This allows me to run the fans at a lower rpm/noise.

As a 15+ year water cooling user, this way surpassed my expectations
Have had numerous AIOs over the years, most recently an H100i RGB Pro, which I just bought an H115i Elite Capellex to replace. The Capellex was the worst thing I’ve ever bought from Corsair.. With them now using Coolit pumps as opposed to the old Asetek pumps, the thing was loud as hell with a super annoying high-pitched whine even on its silent setting (due to the pumps being limited to a lowest RPM of 2200 odd!) Had it for 24 hours and simply had to get rid of it, it was unbearable. I fancied a change from Corsair, and seeing as my PC is used mostly for trading, silence, or as close to it as possible, is top of my list. I do game as well though, so need a decent cooler. I’ve always actually quite liked the “industrial” look of the NH-D15, and having heard how good they are in terms of noise, I decided to give it a go. I knew (or so I thought!) I would have to sacrifice temps to some degree, but was willing to do so in the pursuit of silence. Arrived today, the Capellix came out, and WOW! Firstly, the thing is amazing… The quality of the product is very, very evident from the get-go. And with the heatsink covers on (in black), it looks incredible. Once it was all installed, I couldn’t believe it when I fired up my PC to see idle temps 7/8 degrees lower than the H100, and even 3-5 degrees lower than the Capellix! And that’s with it running absolutely silently! I’m honestly amazed. I’ve run a few stress tests to warm it up, as well as racing in my SIM in VR, and playing some FPS games, and still, the max temp it reached throughout 3 hours of this was 59 degrees. It idles between 23 (yes 23!) degrees and 27 degrees, with my sensors showing an average of 28 degrees even after all the tests and gaming, running an i5 11600K CPU, which are known to be pretty toasty. And all whilst being so damn quiet. I have ordered another fan to have it look and perform the same as the D15 (I had to get the S as the D15 will not fit my MicroATX motherboard), but I think I will just send that back given the temps / noise of this as is with just the one fan. One word of note: I have a B560M Aorus Pro mobo, in a Corsair 4000D case, and there is NOT room to have any exhaust fans above. But clearly, the airflow is fine and am not missing them. With my all black, non-rgb build with a 3070ti, all together, ESPECIALLY now with this cooler, with those classy heatsink covers on, it just looks the absolute nuts. Blown away and over the moon with it!
Exceptional Performance, on par with Water Cooling without the horrible noise.
The Noctua NH-D15S chromax black, Is a very easy CPU Cooler to Install, and comes with excellent Noctua Thermal Paste. It is compatible with LGA 1700 Motherboards, and is a breeze to install.
This CPU Cooler is Huge, but I was able to install it both Vertically (Air pushed out top of case) and Horizontally (Air pushed out back of case) on my ASUS Prime Z690-P WiFi D4.
Even at 100% Fan load, This CPU Cooler is not loud, unlike every AIO Water Cooler I have ever used. It keeps my temps on par with my Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240, and offers better temps than my old Corsair Hydro Series H100i, without the horrible noise and Pump Whine from the aforementioned AIO Water Coolers.
I own quite a few CPU Air Coolers, from Cooler Master, Zalman, be quiet!….. and the The Noctua NH-D15S chromax black is the daddy of them all.
It keeps my Intel Core i7-12700K (12 Core CPU) below 75C in hour long Stress Tests. I also use three Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700, as exhaust fans on my case.
The noise from the included fan, never gets annoying, even at full Load!
I installed a second Fan on the Cooler, as It comes with an extra Brackets for a second fan, but the temperatures stayed around the same (One Celsius reduction) on stress tests, so I removed it.
A word of warning. Install your RAM before you install The Noctua NH-D15S, as large Ram Heat sinks can be difficult to install, after you install the CPU Cooler.
Anyway, this is the best CPU Cooler I have ever owned, and It is cheaper than most AIO Water Coolers, performs about the same, but with much much less noise. There is also no danger of a water pump malfunctioning, which has happened to me in the past.
The Noctua NH-D15S has one Fan, which makes compatibility far better for Ram, than the dual fan Noctua NH-D15, and temperatures are about the same.

J’ai une carte mre Z490 (ATX), un I5-10600k socket LGA 1200, RTX3060Ti, le ventirad rentre parfaitement dans mon botier, il ne gne pas ma CG et ne gne aucune RAM mme celle l plus proche du ventirad.
J’ai test avec mon ancien ventirad tout pourris j’tais 60 constant et maintenant je suis a 29, je n’ai pas encore test les pics de degr sur un gros jeu Cyberpunk mais mon avis a doit pas dpasser 50 vue la puissance du ventirad.
Niveau sonorit je l’entend mme pas.

First of all, the product is large but it fits in small cases like macube 110 by deepcool 🙂
At first I was a little sceptical about buying it because I was afraid that it wont fit and the lit wont close. However, 4 sticks of corsair vengeance rgb edition ram fits perfectly and there is enough clearance to even remove or swap rams even with the cooler installed.
I havent checked the temperature of the cpu ( 5600x) but I believe that it runs cooler than before. Most importantly it runs quietly and without any squeaking sounds. Previously I had “hyper 212 black” which was decent but I needed to add more ram and it wasn’t possible.
Noctua coolers are incredible I don’t regret swapping out my old cooler. 10/10

Super CPU-Kühle
Was will man zum NH-D15S sagen? Ist berall bekannt als High End-Khler. Die S Version ist leicht asymmetrisch, dadurch kann man auch hhere RAM-Kits im Gegensatz zum normalen NH-D15 verbauen.
Dazu kommt noch das die Chromax Version richtig optisch gut aussieht und was her macht. Leise und Leistungsstark mit top Verarbeitung ist er auerdem!
Prima Kühlung, einfache Montage, perfekt für hohe RAM Bausteine
Bisher hatte ich von Noctua immer Abstand genommen, aber allein wegen des Designs (diese beige/braunen Lfter finde ich einfach nicht schn).
Nun stand ich vor dem Problem einen i9-11900k ordentlich zu khlen, und auf meinem MB (Asus ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING) 4 RAM Bausteine zu haben. Nachdem dieser Lfter nun auch in schwarz zu haben war habe ich zugegriffen. Der Einbau war wirklich kinderleicht, dank der Aussparung auf der rechten Seite keinerlei Probleme mit dem RAM und die Temperatur liegt im Idle im Schnitt bei 40 Grad. Beim Zocken so um die 60-70 Grad. Kann man nicht meckern! Einzig den Preis empfinde ich als ein wenig berteuert, und die Lautstrke unter Volllast knnte etwas niedriger sein. Aber jammern auf hohem Niveau!
THE best range of coolers
Ive been a Noctua fan for many years.
When I switched over to a Ryzen build they even supplied me an AM4 mounting kit for my cooler free of charge to reuse my old cooler. Top class company this.
So, after I upgraded to a 5800x the cpu is a little power station and has some temperature issues which is fine. I decided to buy this cooler as I was overdue an upgrade anyway.
Comes very well packaged and with clear instructions. Included also is their world class thermal paste and brackets for additional fans.
I chose this one as all four ram slots are full on my board and it gives maximum compatibility.
Fitting could not have been easier. IN fact only way it could be easier was if I was fitting as part of the pc build. For AM4 theres is a back plate, 4 stands off and the brackets which you assemble. The cooler then screws onto the bracket and you add the fan. Simple simple simple.
Performance is phenominal. my 5800x idles around 30c but it is in the attic, warmest room in the house even with the heating off. Max temp I have seen it reach gaming is 72c. Thats with PBO on etc
With some voltage tweaking or offset temps would probably drop even lower, especially at load. Absolutely love this. And being only 160mm tall it fits my case with ease.

Hatte vorher eine Wasserkhlung an meinem i7-8700k. Die Pumpe war von Anfang an sehr laut aber ber die Jahre sogar noch Lauter geworden, so musst Ersatz her. – Es wurde nach Nischen Amazon surfen also der NH-D15s. Und was soll ich sagen, ich bin begeistert im Idle ist er unhrbar, selbst unter Last ist er extrem leise. Und obendrein ist die Khlleisting BESSER als bei meiner vorigern 120mm AIO. Dachte Luftkhlung ist ein Auslaufmodell, aber jetzt bin ich hiermit zufriedener als mit der Wasserkhlung! Khlt besser als die Corsair H60i Wasserkhlung und ist noch dazu viel leiser als diese, weil de facto unhrbar im idle! Daumen hoch, Meine Empfehlung!!

When you realise most AIOs are scams
The pump in my Coolermaster Masterliquid Lite 240 started making loud noises after just 6 months. Decided to go air since I really do not want to deal with AIO failures again. Got this installed and wow.
Less noise, lower temp (by about 6C at full load) and fewer parts that can fail. I know that Masterliquid 240L is not the best AIO and there are better ones out there, but seeing how well this performs, I really don’t see the point to go AIO for most people. Don’t buy into the water cooling hype when air coolers like this one works just fine and may even perform better.
It came with the retention brackets for the second fan, so I just slapped the 120mm fan from the 240L onto it. This pretty much makes it NH-D15 and gives more headroom for RAM than the 140mm fan in NH-D15.
Incredible. Quiet and cool.
Fiddly to install with the motherboard still in the case. The heat sink goes in fine and the connections are great. However, with the mobo in the case, attaching the fan properly, clipping it firmly to the heat sink and attaching the CPU fan header is difficult. The UH12s is much simpler with this final step.
However, the size of this thing and the cooling capacity means I can radically reduce fan curves for my case fans. So for much lower case flow (and noise) I get better performance. If I kept the fans the same, this would be significantly cooler.
Best cooler I ever owned
This thing is a beast. It’s big sure, but if your machine is under a desk, you’ll never see it, and more importantly, you’ll barely even hear it. Even at full speed this thing is quiet, and a whole lot quieter than your GPU fans will be.
It has a sensible, easy to use mounting system, and includes a long screwdriver to reach the retention screws. It also includes extra fan mounting springs, a fan splitter, and a low noise adapter. Includes noctua thermal paste enough for 2 or 3 applications.
It outperforms most AIO systems, including the 280mm nzxt x73 I had before this. And it does it whisper quiet. Having it as the chromax variant means it’s not all brown and shiny behind your window case.
My only minor gripe is that attaching the fans to the heatsink is fiddly in smaller cases due to clearances. Also if you plan on fitting a 2nd fan to it, forget RGB ram. With a single center mounted fan it has clearance for even the tallest or ram, but adding a 2nd fan over the ram slots will foul. Though I never bothered. Would buy again.

un miglioramento del nh d15 con pi spazio per ram e slot m2, ho aggiunto una ventola da 120mm e le temperature del mio i710700k sono migliorate di 10C in confronto del vecchio hyper 212. in giochi che usano le avx sono passato da 80/82 C a 69/72 C. che dire noctua, complimenti.

da quello di stock (considerando un case ventilato con 14 ventole) sono passato da max 72 in stress a max 32 in stress…

Nach nun lngerer Nutzung bin ich mit dem Khler sehr zufrieden.
Geliefert wird der Khler in einer aufgerumten Verpackung in der kein Platz verschwendet wird.
Das Zubehr ist durchaus angemessen und von hoher Qualitt.
Khlkrper, Lfter, Kabel, alle Metallteile (auch Schrauben, Federn, Backplate) sind hochwertig beschichtet.
Beim auspacken und beim Einbau habe ich handschuhe getragen, um Fettfinger und kleine Kratzer zu vermeiden, das war auf jeden Fall hilfreich.
Leise ist das ganze auch, war aber klar.
Khlleistung ist auch in meinem kleinen Gehuse durchaus gut, Der Khler nimmt aber sehr viel Platz ein.
Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden, auch wenn der Preis fr ein solches Produkt (wie auch bei der Konkurrenz) ziemlich hoch ist.

Bueno , despues de varios dias despues de montarlo y probarlo a max rendimiento , puedo decir que evidentemente no da las mismas temperaturas que mi anterior refrigeracion una corsair H115i pero bueno tb decir que el mantenimiento es minimo…. con limpiar ventiladores sobra… mi anterior refrigeracion duro 3 aos hasta que la bomba dejo de funcionar, mantiene unas temperaturas de unos 65grados a plena carga jugando a juegos a maximo rendimiento, muy silencioso, facil de montar , la unica pega que le pondria es que es demasiado grande, me ha tocado sacrificar un modulo de ram porque no podia montarlo, debes disponer de una caja bastante grande o no te entrara, por lo demas todo perfecto, recomiendo su compra.

Prodotto bello, silenzioso e di grande qualit. Ho montato una seconda ventola da 120 per avere migliori prestazioni, montare una 140, come quella in dotazione, sarebbe stato impossibile per problemi di spazio case/ram. Sicuramente da preferire, a mio giudizio, al modello simmetrico con due ventole da 140 se si vuole maggior flessibilit con prestazioni leggermente inferiori. La ventola da 120 montata la NF-F12 pwm, ho utilizzato le graffette in dotazione, e collegata al connettore CPU OPT della MB. In questi casi serve una ventola con una buona pressione, a scapito della portata d’aria. NOCTUA n. 1

Absolutely insane air cooler. Super easy to install, packaging was easy to understand, and had tools and parts to help you install, the noise of the cooler is minimal even when the fans are at 100%. Faultless, really excellent and cheaper than AIOs which perform the same.

I’ve got the cooler in my pc with the low fan adapter on my 5800X and cools the cpu fine no problems used mx5 thermal paste and on idle it had 35 and on full 70 and on prime 95 it got 85 what is good

This cooler is insane.
No seriously. It’s insane. Look how big this thing is. And this is the S version.
It’s whisper quiet. It’s easy to install. I’d read the hype around Noctua but after actually seeing and using it, I believe it. Low-use temps sit around 37-40 with a 3700x.
The only caveat I can think of is its size, you’ll need a decent sized mid-tower (I have a P400A). It also makes installing the 8-PIN into your motherboard for your CPU a nightmare, but hey ho.

En ajoutant un Noctua NF-F12, ce radiateur est parfait pour un Ryzen 5800x et certainement un 5900x ou 5950x…
Temprature de base avec la pte thermique fournie : autour de 37C en pleine chaleur estivale et max en charge intensive (rendu 3D) : 78C.
[sans le NF-F12 en plus : 40C et 86max mais avec un niveau de bruit bien plus lev. (encore une fois en t avec 30 ambiant… donc relativiser…)]
En tout cas c’est un bel objet, franchement efficace. Et, videmment, la version non “chromax black”, un peu moins chre est certainement d’un meilleur rapport qualit prix.
Sehr guter Lüfter mit hervorragender Kompatibilitä
Die Qualitt der Noctua Lfter ist ja hinlnglich bekannt. Leider gibt es aber insbesondere bei den Tower-lftern immer wieder Probleme mit der Kompatibilitt zu RAM-Modulen oder zum Mainboard. Bei dieser Version besteht die Gefahr meiner Meinung nach nicht. Der Lfter ist asymmetrisch konstruiert und hat jede Menge Platz im Bereich der Speicher-Module. Es lassen sich also hierbei tatschlich alle Speicher-Bnke bestcken und das auch mit Modulen die sehr hoch sind. “Erkauft” wird dieser Vorteil dadurch, dass hier nur ein Lfter verbaut wird. Wer also einen leistungshungrigen Prozessor verbaut und den auch noch maximal bertakten will, gleichzeitig aber auch hohe RAM-Module verwendet, der sollte sich besser bei nach einer leistungsfhigen Wasserkhlung umsehen. Wer aber in seinem Gehuse bereits einen guten Airflow hat und einen wirklich leisen Prozessor-Lfter sucht (bei mir im Einsatz mit einem Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G), dem kann ich diesen Lfter wirklich empfehlen.
Questo e il modello S chromax in nero la differrenza tra il modello non s 160 mm di altezza rispetto ai 165 e un design spostato per dare pi spazio alla pcie e la presenza di una sola ventola le prestazioni cambiano di pochi gradi e la ventola si pu aggiungere anche dopo io avendo un meshify c e delle ram alte ho optato per questo visto che la 2 non sarebbe comunque entrata e in futuro magari aggiunger una NF a12x25 quando si spera uscira in nero. La scatola completa di tutto e l’installazione semplice e veloce e le istruzioni molto chiare. L’ho comprato per sostituirlo a uno shythe fuma 2 che pur essendo un ottimo dissipatore e molto silenzioso non reggeva come dicevo io il mio 3800x infatti i test di cinebench con 1000 punti in pi mi hanno dimostrato che questo dissipatore decisamente migliore ugualmente silenzioso e costruito molto meglio… inoltre trovo che sia anche pi bello da vedere. Un ottimo acquisto se lo avessi saputo prima non avrei acquistato altro.
Etwas zu teuer, aber gu
Die Khlleistung ist absolut in Ordnung! Auch die Montage ist bei Noctua Khlern immer sehr einfach. Die Verarbeitung ist auch sehr gut und wertig. Aber ich muss sagen, dass die Noctua Lfter fr mich persnlich noch nie wirklich “leise” waren, womit ja immer geworben wird. Natrlich, im Vergleich zu sehr gnstigen Lftern, ist das Gerusch angenehmer bei hheren Drehzahlen, aber meines Erachtens nicht wirklich leiser. Nur irgendwie dumpfer.
Die gleiche Khlleistung, mit ggf. etwas “schlechterer” Verarbeitung, bekommt man auch deutlich preiswerter. Wem es aber egal ist mehr zu zahlen, und wer Wert auf gute Haptik, Verarbeitung und einfache Montage legt, der kann hier gerne zuschlagen.

seems to be ok, keeps the i9 cool enough, mind you i almost broke my memory when fitting it as one side of the heatsink is slightly higher than the other and i didnt realise as im half blind and then i heard a click…. that was a brown bum moment but thankfully all ok
Watch out for the height and RAM clearance.
This cooler looks very sleek in an all-black case. The system is much quieter compared to my previous AIO. My current CPU is the 5800x, and at idle, the temps are in the mid 30C range, which is reasonable as this gen of CPU idles quite hot. Ensure to check the clearance in your case before purchase, as some cases would be too slim to implement this. This warning also goes for the height of the RAM you are looking to install, as tall RAM can be problematic with this cooler.
Der NH-D15S bietet potentiell die gleiche Khlleistung wie der NH-D15 (einfach 1x Lfter nachrsten) ist jedoch durch das assymmetrische Design deutlich besser mit PCIe Karten kompatibel. RAM Kompatibilitt ist ebenfalls gegeben (wie gesagt, 1x Lfter weniger – beim Nachrsten aufpassgen und ggf. 120 mm nehmen). Die Installation ist sehr einfach und alles Ntige liegt bei. Die Anleitung ist ebenfalls gut verstndlich.
Die Khlleistung ist hervorragend und als Luftkhler ist der NH-D15S sowohl risikormer als auch langlebiger als eine AIO-Wasserkhlung bei gleicher oder besserer Khlleistung und geringerem Geruschpegen (Pumpe alleine > NH-D15S). Don’t go AIO…

La scelta ricaduta sul Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black per i seguenti motivi: 1) Noctua l’azienda leader nella dissipazione ad aria con un supporto post-vendita di elevata qualit; 2) il modello NH-D15S (a doppia torre) riesce a dissipare bene il calore prodotto da qualunque CPU, utilizzando una sola ventola centrale; 3) la colorazione chromax.black lo rende anche bello da vedere. E’ di poco inferiore nelle prestazioni al modello NH-D15 a doppia ventola,ma presenta un dissipatore che non copre le memorie RAM (utile per chi ha le RAM ARGB) ed asimmetrico per non ostacolare il montaggio della scheda video. Volendo si pu montare una seconda ventola frontale. Silenzioso e ingombrante per alcuni case di dimensione ridotta. Prodotto consigliato.
Believe the hype
You, like me, have probably seen nothing but praise for Noctua coolers, this one especially. With this in mind, I had high expectations for this cooler and still they have been exceeded. This is a phenomenal piece of kit.
The installation is unbelievably easy. I enjoy PC building, but I can’t say I’m particularly good at it. My big clumsy hands are always dropping screws, gunking thermal paste etc. After struggling to install the Evo and Wraith Spire in the past, I was ready for another tough install. I was pleasantly surprised to.be wrong! This was very straightforward – the instructions are very clear and the mounting process is genius. I don’t understand why every cooler can’t be this simple.
Performance is excellent. My 5600x has gone from 90-95c under load to 60-65c.
There is a lot more I could say, but I’ll keep it simple – if you’re struggling with high temps, buy this cooler. It’s a little pricier, but it’s absolutely worth every penny.

Performance, oh my! It has reduced my peak temperatures by 25C. This allowed me to overclock my i7-4770K to over 4GHz on all cores from 3.5GHz in Prime95. Max temperature peaks at 68C on all threads at 100% load. The supplied fan settles at 1300rpm under this setup.
This really is the best air cooler you can get. If your case can fit it, just get this.
For information, I installed this in an Antec P180. I am never retiring this case lol.
Brilliant piece of engineering!
I bought the NH-D15s chomax as an after market air cooler. It is mounted on a Cooler Master H500(blank) case. Installed on a AM4 platform to cool a 5600x. Instruction are on the box and from a newbie i can say that it is easy to install. My cpu temperature went down by 12 degrees when gaming. There is an option to add an additional front fan on front heatsink but because i have 2 200mm fan intake i did not add any. Not only it lowered my cpu temp by 12 degrees it is also quiet. Ram and pcie slot has alot of space to breath. Highly recommended for its cooling power and quietness.

Cool and large space for ram
Very happy with this product keeps my Ryzen 3600 XT nice and cool topping at 52+/- under load which is great! Also would like to stress just how much room there rly is for ram, I use Vengeance pro RGB (very tall) and there’s still room to spare. Highly recommend

It`s Noctua
I went back to air cooling after being disappointed in some aio CPU cooling solutions. This is a fair chunk of metal and might not have the fancy looks of an aio pump header that shows graphics, temps and cpu usage through my glass window case but I am much happier with the silence and overall performance. It`s Noctua – say no more really.

I bust my 5 year old EK water block trying to fix a squeaky fan. Stumbled across a BLACK Noctua – WHAT – where has that “nice” two tone brown gone. Decided on this computer to go back to air. No room to run the full D15 over RAM so tried this.
So far very happy. It shifts a lot of air. It is very quite and it looks great in my black rig. When silicon gets back to the market, and I build the next PC. I might buck the trend and stay with this. It really is good. The build quality of the fan and the fitting is excellent. Even the box it comes in is a work of art. This screams quality….

Probably the best air cooler on the market, looks great in black. The mounting mechanism is really easy and makes it super easy to setup.
Lives up to its reputatio
Had a Corsair H100 water system which has gradually become blocked, not surprisingly as it was 7 years old.
Could have dismantled it and cleared the blockage but wasn’t too happy with the fan noise as it would spin up like a jet engine and remain close that level of noise even when idling. Thats when I researched and came across this heatpipe cooler. Fitting was fairly straightforward just make sure its compatable with your motherboard socket and that you have the space for the cooler without interfering with RAM or other motherboard slots. Anyway the cooler fired up and the noise at idle was so quiet I thought maybe the fan was not running, it turns out this unit will run the fan at start up at around 500rpm and beware your pc depending on its BIOS might think the fan is faulty because of the low rpm at start up, so go into the BIOS and tell it that its okay to have the fan at that range on start up. At present cant complain, CPU runs cool about 38 def idle and max 45 to 50 on rendering and the fan noise still very low. Well worth the purchase and would recommend.

Ordered this as my little Ryzen 7 2700 non x seems to struggle maintaining high overclocks on the stock AMD cooler, upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised at how professional the packaging was. The mounting for AM4 boards requires use of the existing back plate for the stock cooler. Getting the cooler mounted was somewhat difficult in my microatx case but it did fit. Before I couldn’t run over 3.5ghz due to thermals now I can run 4.1ghz all core and it barely goes over 60C. Comes with extra spring clips to attach another fan, I moved the lower front case fan onto the front of the cpu cooler for additional cooling. Recommended it to my mate who’s AIO died on him and he was well impressed also on his R7 1800x

Install sur une carte mre MSI Z490 Gaming Plus pour refroidir un I7 10700KF. Trs simple installer en 5 minutes. Les performances sont impressionnantes. Mon CPU est 28 en idle et ne dpasse pas 60 en jeu dans Battlefield 5, le tout en silence dans un botier Be Quiet 500DX. A noter que j’ai utilis la pte thermique fournie avec le ventirad, elle fait trs bien le job. J’ai galement ajout la couverture blanche Chromax pour le style, a n’influe pas sur le refroidissement.

I have this over a 5900X, replacing a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 which has moved to another machine. Very similar performance in my setup, but if anything the Noctua runs slightly cooler and quieter, even with only the one fan – impressive. Because it’s smaller, the NH-D15S gives you much more choice of 4 stick DRAM kits which is a big advantage with Ryzen CPUs especially since they can be very difficult with the wrong RAM. The deal-breaker for me with Noctua coolers for many years was that they only came in ghastly brown, but now you can get them in good-looking black too I could see myself staying with them in the future.
Eleganza, Potenza e Silenziosità
Testato su un muletto ad aria aperta e tiene un Ryzen 7 5800X in PL2 (4,4 GHz x8 Core e ~140W massimi) a 50/55 Di media in gioco (non supera i 60), quindi in un case con un airflow discreto mi aspetto massimo 10 in pi. La build ITX e ha una RX 6800 XT overclockata attaccata che consuma 250W in media, quindi non proprio un ghiacciolo. Look splendido, probabilmente metter le cover chromax per i radiatori e una ventola da 120mm NF-F12, sempre chromax. La ventola non si sente minimamente. Unica pecca che su un’ITX copre le RAM (nonostante ci sia un enorme spazio in altezza per loro), ma l’avevo gi messo in considerazione. In sostanza, un ottimo prodotto!

This was bought to replace the stock cooler that came with the machine.
The heatsink looks very big out of the box and I did have a few doubts if it would fit inside my case (Cooler Master Masterbox MB530P). There was nothing to worry about however.
Fitting was extremely easy, even for a bigger unit, as this is.
The kit comes with Noctua thermal paste and a kit for either Intel or AMD, together with dedicated instructions for each socket. You also get a low noise adapter cable, which I didn’t use, as well as a spare set of fan clips, in case you wish to add a second fan later on. You also get a handy screwdriver, so pretty much everything you need comes in the box.
The kit came extremely well packaged and protected. It is very sturdy in construction. The heat plate is extremely well finished and machined, and is protected by a plastic cover.
The only extra purchase I needed was a box of surgical swabs to clean the cpu up after removing the old cooler.
Using the Intel kit and provided thermal paste I had no problem at all in installing this. (This was my first heatsink/cooler install.) It really was painlessly easy.
The fan needs to be removed to install the cooler. There was plenty of clearance to reattach the fan afterwards, I didn’t even have to remove the GPU.
Top tip: If you have larger fingers, or space is at a premium, fashion a hook out of a large paperclip. This is what I did and it worked a treat in hooking the fan clip on at the top side of the case.
The fan cable is plenty long enough to reach your CPU fan header on the motherboard, and is a standard PWM 4 pin. I found it best to plug this in before fixing the heatsink to the CPU.
The whole process was done in 30 minutes, and I was taking my time being cautious.
There is plenty of clearance on all sides and enough space to not obstruct RAM modules, or access to PCIE clips.
It looks great and performs really very well on my i7-9700k. The temperatures shown are on Minecraft after about 2 hours. On other games such as Immortals Fenyx Rising, Fortnite and AC Valhalla they are between 55 and 65C.
The fan is extremely quiet.
Thoroughly recommended if you want to go for an air cooled option and don’t want to worry about water leaks.

Ayant renvoyer un Water cooling Ryujin 360 de chez Asus rog a pres de 300 balle car le produit ne tenai pas du tous ces promesse je me suis tourner vers un ventirad pour refroidir un gros 5900x.
Dj produit reu en avance, bien jou, emballage propre et qualitatif tout de carton recycler pais et solide pas de fioriture j’apprcie fortement.
je passe l’installation ultra simple mais dirais jute que le tournevis (et 3.5g de pate thermique) fournit m’as carrment sauv la mise car je n’en avais pas d’assez long chez moi car dissipateur super haut il y a mme une accroche fournit en plus au cas ou si vous choisissez de prendre un ventilateur supplmentaire, ce qui tait mon cas.
A l’utilisation le ventirad est compltement dingue, les temprature atteinte sont plus basse en moyenne de 4 (29 en idle avec les ventilo 25%)qu’avec l’AIO prcdemment cit (33 en idle avec les 3 ventilos 30%) et ce dans toutes les situations tests et ce dans un silence fort apprciable
Je crois pas qu’il y est quoi que ce soit d’autre dire.

I’ll keep it simple I have a 3900xt overclocking to 4.5ghz at idle 39c to 44c and under full load converting, 6 videos to 1080p 23 min videos at the same time ,86c and never went past 88c.
Two fans on tower set to 45 to 75 percentage

After about 2 years of the stock intel cooler it was starting to wail like a reversing bin lorry, to the point that I would cringe if turning on my PC at night in case it woke the kids up.
For some reason it took me ages to consider changing it, and now I’m so annoyed I didn’t just do it the moment I got the PC. This cooler is epic. Little more than a very faint hum whereas before it sounded like someone was trying to drill through the wall.
I’ve been using NZXT Cam to monitor temps the past few days and in general desktop use I’ve never seen the CPU go over 32C. I’ve also been reliving my 20s playing Half Life 2 and it’s never caused anything over 45C. Looking forward to properly challenging it with Alyx soon.
Depending on your case it could be an easy install or a hassle as you need to put the bracket on the back of the motherboard – my case has a cutout to allow access so the complete remove and install took under 10 minutes. The fact that it is offset means it doesn’t foul PCIe or RAM slots which is amazing. It is also massive so you need to check your case dimensions – my case is big and it’s a tight fit and required practically dislocating my wrist to clip the fan back on at the top edge.
In summary: Just buy it. It’s amazing.

Ottimo anche il supporto pre-acquisto, tramite il quale ho potuto verificare la compatibilit con la motherboard sulla quale avrei dovuto montarlo (Asus ROG STRIX Z490-G), ed essendo una m-ATX era un info molto importante.
Montaggio semplicissimo, cpu (10600k) che in Idle resta su 25%, arrivando sotto stress a 45%.
Ho preso la S perch la seconda ventola mi avrebbe creato problemi sulla ram, ma non sono sicuro che, nel caso dovessi, sarebbe cosi agevole anche con questa versione riuscire a smontare la ram sullo slot 2.

Guter Lüfter mit ausreichend Reserve
Der Khler funktioniert ohne Probleme und passt im Gegensatz zum D15 Standard auch aufs Board d.h. ragt nicht ber die PCI Schnittstelle hinaus. Warum er nur mit einem Lfter geliefert wird, erschliet sich mir nicht so ganz, ich habe noch einen zweiten Lfter installiert, was ohne Probleme mglich war. Die Installation war im Kontext okay, ein bisschen Friemelei ist der Einbau ja immer, hier aber vergleichsweise gut gelst, zumindest denke ich nicht schon jetzt mit Grausen an den Tausch der Wrmeleitpaste nchstes Jahr.
Die Khlleistung ist meines Erachtens sehr gut, mein 3950x bleibt damit bei Vollast ohne bertaktung unter 75 Grad Celsius, im Idle ca. bei 35-45. Die Lfter hrt man zwar, sind aber nicht strend, besser machen es andere Hersteller auch nicht.
Wer also keine Wasserkhlung mchte und einen guten Khler mit Reserven mchte, ist hier sicher gut beraten, vor allem, da es jetzt eine Alternative zu dem gewhnungsbedrftigen braun gibt.
Zu erwhnen ist vielleicht noch, dass der Lamellenblock sehr gro ist und da asymmetrisch angeordnet weit nach oben steht. Ich habe ein Dark Base 700 und musste den eingebauten Deckenlfter entfernen, da es sonst nicht gepasst htte. Also vorher ber den Airflow Gedanken machen.
Preislich ist das Ding vergleichsweise teuer, besonders wer einen zweiten Lfter mchte, ich habe mich hier allerdings an den Erfahrungsberichten und Tests zur Leistung und Qualitt orientiert, da mir dies wichtiger war, als 20 Euro an falscher Stelle zu sparen.
Best results from any air coole
Amazing performance and easy to mount, paired with ryzen 9 3900x and a 2080 super and I have not seen my CPU pass 70c in all sorts of games (normally max settings 1440p) and the offset allows much easier ram access, compared to standard NH-D15, just make sure you have the clearance in your case as it is very tall. And it has the option to add an additional fan for even lower temps!

Expensive but the best air cooler you can get, came from a Corsair AIO and temperatures now are 20 degrees lower after upgrading to the Dh-15S.

One point worth noting is the fan needs to be removed to install, when reinstalling make sure it points the correct way (airflow indicators can be misread) according to your case otherwise it will run about 15c hotter!

Perfect trustworthy solution!
This came much faster than expected so that was firstly a nice surprise. The installation was not half as tricky as I’d been lead to believe on my AMD system. I was dreading the possibility of having to remove the entire motherboard etc. Once installed immediately my CPU (5900x Ryzen 9) was 10-15 degrees cooler during all scenarios and hasn’t once gone higher than 71 degrees even under heavy load so I’m delighted with it. Exactly as good as every review declared it to be!
P.S. Fits perfectly fine in a Lancool II Mesh Performance and doesn’t block vision of G.Skill Trident Z Ram for those wondering about clearances etc.
Hammer Luftkühler!
Hatte vorher eine billige Wasserkhlung (AIO). Die konnte meine CPU unter last nur auf ca. 80 Grad khlen. Mit dem Noctua bin ich jetzt auf ca. 60 Grad. Das ist sehr beeindruckend, da die CPU auf ca. 5 Ghz luft und ich eine GPU 3080 verbaut habe. Den Preis fr die khlung finde ich absolut angemessen. Auerdem hatte ich immer Angst das die Wasserkhlung undicht wird. Die Montage ist sehr einfach. Der ganze Khler wird mit nur 2 Schrauben an der mitgelieferten backplate befestigt. Die Verarbeitung ist auch absolut klasse.
Absolutely Amazing
This was a massive upgrade, my temp dropped 20 degrees with this cooler. I’m really impressed.
Sono passato dal vecchio e sottodimensionato Arctic Freezer Xtreme da 120mm che avevo a questa bestiolina da 90 Euro per riuscire a tirare fuori qualcosa in pi dal mio obsoleto FX8320 in attesa di qualcosa di pi recente e fresco. Se prima infatti andare sopra i 4Ghz di frequenza era praticamente impossibile e il margine dalla massima temperatura raggiungibile secondo le specifiche AMD si aggirava con un massiccio undervolt di 100mv sui 20 gradi l’upgrade a questo costoso ma veramente magnifico NH-D15S mi ha permesso di tenere tutto sotto controllo dal punto di vista delle temperature anche a voltaggi decisamente pi alti di quelli standard e frequenze fino a 4.5Ghz fissi, che non hanno dato l’aumento prestazionale sperato alla macchina ma che sono tenuti assolutamente sotto controllo dal nuovo dissipatore. Con questa a dir poco esosa configurazione l’FX raggiunge raramente valori sopra i 45 gradi, che per un processore del genere non sono niente male.
Oltre alle indubbie qualit prestazionali ci sono per anche quella costruttiva e progettuale secondo me superiore a qualsiasi competitor, con una cura nel packaging ma anche ovviamente nell’assemblaggio del prodotto in se e nella scelta dei materiali incredibili, che rendono il sistema di dissipazione ad aria austriaco a mio parere preferibile alle offerte della concorrenza. Diciamo che a temperature siamo l, ma per prezzi in fin dei conti molto simili Noctua offre quella solidit aziendale e garanzia di qualit ma anche supporto dopo l’acquisto (se registrate il prodotto sul loro sito potrete fare gratuitamente richiesta di sistemi di montaggio compatibili con socket rilasciati dopo l’acquisto) che la rende tutto sommato superiore. E forse dieci euro in pi sono tanti ma non ho potuto resistere alla versione nera che devo dire fa davvero un figurone anche in case non incredibili come il mio. Promosso a pieni voti.

Il prodotto ben confezionato, gi dall imballo se ne capisce la qualit. Nella confezione c’ tutto il necessario per l’installazione che risulta facile e veloce. La ventola molto silenziosa mantiene la cpu fresca anche sotto carico
Un “Gran” disipado
Es un “gran” disipador en todos los sentidos.
Las temperaturas en un 3800X se han reducido entre 8-10 grados en idle con respecto al disipador de stock. Pero lo ms notable ha sido la reduccin de ruido, eso si a partir de 1000rpm no esperis que sea silencioso, porque ya empieza a hacer ruido, pero nada en comparacin al wraith prism.
Recomendara la compra, aunque es probable que existan muchas otras opciones de menor precio, pero ni los acabado ni la facilidad de montaje ser parecida
La calidad de siempre de Noctua; el rendimiento es magnfico, sin tener que envidiarle nada a la mayora de sistemas estndar de refrigeracin lquida, y con un nuevo estilo visual para los que siempre renegaban de los colores corporativos de la marca. Qu ms se puede pedir?

Der Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black khlt in meinem System eine AMD Ryzen 9 3900x CPU (Stock). Meine Anforderung an einen neuen CPU Khler war in erster Linie natrlich eine hohe Khlleistung bei geringer Lautstrke.
Zustzlich sollte der Khler zu meinem Black & White Gehuse von Corsair passen und gengend Platz fr RGB Ram Riegel besitzen. Der verbaute RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro hat immerhin eine stolze Hhe von 5,08cm. (exkl. Spielraum)
Bercksichtigt man all diese Anforderungen, so wird die Auswahl an passenden Khlern schnell auf weniger als eine Handvoll geeigneter Kandidaten eingeschrnkt.
Zuerst war ich auf der Suche nach einer AiO Wasserkhlung mit 240mm oder 280mm. Nach langer Recherche im Internet und Begutachtung von zahlreichen Testberichten habe ich mich jedoch fr den Noctua Khler entschieden. Der Grund dafr ist, dass ein guter CPU Luftkhler wie der NH-D15S ohne Probleme mit vielen der am Markt erhltlichen AiO Wasserkhlungen mithalten kann. Negative Aspekte wie eine defekte Pumpe oder Wasseraustritt, was nach durchstbern diverser Foren durchaus mglich ist, kann jedoch nicht vorkommen.
Ebenfalls kann kein strendes Gerusch durch die Wasserpumpe verursacht werden. Betreibt man eine AiO Wasserkhlung auf Volllast, so werden auch hier die Lfter deutlich hrbar.
In vielen Tests wird von einem bertakten der Ryzen 3000 CPUs abgeraten, da das AMD eigene Precision Boost Overdrive bereits nahezu das Maximum aus den CPUs rausholt. Manuelles bertakten lsst Stromaufnahme und Temperatur schnell in die Hhe schieen und bringt nur einen geringen Leistungszuwachs. Die Zeiten in denen ~ 1 Ghz an zustzlichem Takt ohne groen Aufwand mglich waren, wie teilweise bei den FX Prozessoren blich, sind vorbei.
Fr alle die es trotzdem versuchen wollen empfiehlt sich zustzlich der Noctue NH-D15 welcher von Haus aus mit zwei Lftern daher kommt und eine nochmals bessere Khlleistung bietet.

– Da nur ein Lfter verbaut ist, wird nicht das volle Potential des Khlers ausgeschpft
Fazit:
Der Kauf des NH-D15S war eine gute Entscheidung. Auf Grund von nur einem Lfter im Gegensatz zum NH-D15 ist er von der Khlleistung her nicht ganz an der Spitze der Luftkhler anzusiedeln. Dies macht er aber auf Grund seiner guten Kompatibilitt wieder gut. Sollte jemandem die Khlleistung nicht reichen, so kann er immer noch einen zweiten Lfter nachrsten.
Gute Alternative zu AiO Wasserkhlungen.
Absolut leise und effizient beim kühle
Hab den Lfter gegen den AMD original Lfter getauscht. Das Resultat an meinem System mit einem Ryzen 9 3900X, ist sehr zufrieden stellend. Auf einen Schlag habe ich 15 Grad Celsius weniger als vorher im idle. Bei rechen intensiven Anwendungen, geht die Temperatur zwar auch hoch aber lngst nicht so schnell wie beim original Lfter. Dazu ist dann der Temperatur Peak auch viel schneller wieder abgebaut. Dazu noch absolut leise, fast gar nicht hrbar. Genau so hatte ich mir das vorgestellt. Also, ich bin absolut zufrieden mit dem Produkt. Sehr empfehlenswert !
Vengo de un Nox Hummer H-212 (unos 25-30 en su dia, ahora 20) y la diferencia en todo es brutal.
Creo que solo hay un modelo mejor que este, y la unica diferencia es que lleva un ventilador adicional y vale 10 euros mas, pero lo que es el disipador es el mismo. Es precioso, eficiente, y muy grande. Cuidado con la caja donde lo vayas a meter! Yo no veia que fuera necesario que tuviera dos ventiladores asi que me decidi por este, pero cabe destacar que trae los adaptadores para ponerle otro ventilador, un gran detalle de Noctua.
Lo unico que le mejoraria es que fuera un poco mas barato xD pero la calidad se paga y en este caso creo que merece la pena. Si miras otros disipadores de igual tamao y caracteristicas de otras marcas, veras que los precios no son mucho mas bajos.
Y por cierto, si te surge la duda de si es mejor gastarte 90 euros en un disipador o pasar a refrigeracion liquida… si el kit de refrigeracion que mires es mas barato que este disipador, seguramente sea peor. Por no hablar de que tiene mucho mas mantenimiento y peligro la liquida. Yo he preferido dar el salto a un producto TOP de aire que meterme en liquidas.
Replace that massive clunky noisy AIO!
Decided I was getting fed up with my Artic cooling 240 AIO that I had been running for 4+ years on my Intel 5960X X99 rig (4.2GHz OC/1.25v). Saw a lot of articles and YouTube stuff that said air cooling was just as good if not better nowadays.
So I went for this as it was quite a bit cheaper than the two fan version. Was quite easy to install (didn’t need 2 pairs of hands like the 4 fan AIO) and fitted perfectly in my Fractal R5 case. I used the last of my Kryonaut paste with the spread method (HEDT chips are a bit big for the pea method) rather than the perfectly good tube of Noctua paste they supply. I’ll keep that for another day.
As for performance I ran Aida64 Stress test for 15 mins on the AIO and 15 mins on the Noctua. I then averaged the max temps of the cores. The end result temps wise was the same. I’m happy with that, as it was size and noise reduction I was after. Being able to reduce the fan count by 3 is a bonus.

Fits well, great performance
7 degrees cooler than an Arctic Freezer 33 TR (rated 200w TDP). It is large, but fits well due to the raised fan mounting, even on a motherboard with an I/O shroud and VRM heatsink fins. No problems fitting, nice & easy.
Una belva, dissipazione ad aria top con Noctua. Confezione completa di tutto e di pi. Attenzione allo spazio nel case! E finalmente con colori decenti.

The King of Prozessorkühlung
Ich betreibe einen AMD FX 9590, welcher ab Werk bereits > 200 W TDP abgibt. Etlichen erfolglose Versuche mit verschiedenen AIOs selbst diversen Lftern kombiniert endeten ich immer damit, die Spannung des CPUs zu reduzieren um das System stabil betreiben zu knnen.
Erst dieser Lfter gestattet mir dieses downgrade wieder aufzuheben und hat sogar noch Spielraum nach oben. 4700 MHz kein Problem. (idle 40 C) 5 GHz ebenso erfolgreich und stabil.
Loben mchte ich die durchdachte Befestigung am Motherboard, welche die beste am Markt ist. Stabil, funktional und einfach zu montieren. Das gilt auch fr die Lfterklemmen.
Sehr gute Qualitt made in Austria.
Darber hinaus ist Noctua fr einen ausgezeichneten Support bekannt und liefert auch gern mal bentige Befestigungen und Ersatzmaterial nach.
Achtet bitte bein Kauf darauf, das das Teil auch ins Gehuse passt. 16cm Luft nach oben braucht das Gehuse schon hierfr. Bei mir ist das kein Problem da Big Tower Corsair 750D. Aber auch kleinere MIDI Tower haben oft genug platz. Schaut dazu am besten in den Spezifikationen Eures Gehuses nach!

Nulla da dire, qualit premium. Nero mi piace molto anche esteticamente. Mi tiene a bada tranquillamente un 3900x anche con il low noise adapter. Quello che pi sorprende la silenziosit estrema. Inoltre a differenza del d15 classico non da alcun problema di compatibilit con le ram. 5 stelle

Perfect, always trusted Noctua to deliver solid aircooled performance on my CPUs and to have it in a black finish is even better.
Keeps my 3700x at around 45-55 degrees idle with room temps of around 22-25 degrees and barely 75 under heavy load (obviously your mileage will vary depending on your other cooling measures).
Buy Noctua, you wont regret it.

Die Montage habe ich dank beiliegenden Anleitungen gut hinbekommen.
Die Lautstrke ist bei meinem i7-10700k selbst unter Vollast mit Prime unhrbar.

got this mounted on a 10980XE which is an inferno of a chip, cooling performance is better than expected, its able to keep my chip cooler than the 240mm AIO that died before it while being much quieter too
just a few things to note, if you have tall ram like Corsair Dominators you can only use a single fan in the middle and its also worth noting the height clearance- i have a full tower case and the heatpipes are about 5cm away from the glass panel
The cooler is super quiet, looks good and is effective. Running my 10700K OCd to 5.1 GHz with 1.33V and temps barely touch 85 degrees with low noise adapter and fan speeds manually tuned down in BIOS. I know that 85 for some might seem high but at this level noise it beats my H100i

I have an i9 9900k in an ITX case. This can just squeeze in without problem and it is so worth doing. It repaced a 240mm AIO from Corsair and achieves better temps (approx 10c lower at full load) and a lot less noise and for less money! I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. And yes, the extra 10 for the all black version is absolutely worth it (pic highlights this!).

– Same as the D15 but with an asymmetric offset to allow space for PCIe GPU
– Only one fan, so no issues with RAM clearance, but minimal effect on temps.
– Its massive, so be aware – minimum 160mm clearance.
– See pictures compared with AMD Wraith Cooler!
– If you do your research, this is as effective as water cooling but without the problems with water pumps breaking/leaking
