So thought I would order this just to see if it was worth it to save me money on the expensive rotisseries, we’ll here is to say this,bad boy does it all its a fantastic bit of kit . It’s simple to put together and wow the taste absolutely brilliant very impressed . Honestly don’t be bothering with others buy this bad boy next two whole chickens who needs to cook indoors anymore

The 12mm hex spit is very sturdy , but my concerns are that the motor mount tabs are too loose allowing for vibration and oscillation and the weight of the spit at the motor end is loaded onto the motor itself ,
a second bearing and mount like the handle end has would be an ideal solution , but so far so good .
I had one small issue with one of the parts and the seller sent out a free replacement part overnight to me, a very impressive service.
This BBQ rotisserie kit will not disappoint you, I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed I had to say something positive to help potential buyers. The heavy duty spit-rod and almost silent motor are streets ahead of the normal kits available.
The food that I have cooked has been amazing (girlfriends comments) chicken, pork and leg of lamb. It takes a bit longer than on the grill but it’s been well worth it for the quality and taste!

We recently bought a Scandinavian BBQ hut which comes with a monster BBQ pit. I looked around and decided to give this Rotisserie Kit a go as it looked the sturdiest; I have not been disappointed. It came well packed and was easy to put together. The main spindle is very thick and has so far held 3lbs of meat without issue. One point you do need to watch is that when you stop/start the motor, it changes direction which can (as we found out) sometimes unscrew the second bit of the spindle so just be aware! Otherwise, this is a fantastic bit of kit which is very easy to operate, easy to clean (dishwasher safe apart from the motor of course!) and gives a fantastic flavour to meats being quietly (and it is quiet) turned over hot coals. If you need something heavy duty then this is it!
When I purchased this item it was advertised as a one piece spit rod which is what i wanted.
Unfortunately for me it arrived and the spit rod was in two pieces! After assembling it correctly and cooking the christmas 12lb turkey on it and just as I had envisaged it was bent!!! Heavy duty spit rods need to be in ONE piece.
Although I had to chock the lid open I was still able to maintain 150 to cook my rotisserie chicken, even though it was 0 out. And the chicken was GORGEOUS. Bloody good buy. Great piece of kit. Recommended without hesitation.

Great product, had to do a little diy to use it over my bbq pit. Produced some great spit roast chicken along with a Pork roast. Motor is quite but powerful anough to deal with a big piece of meat.

Easy to use and does the job but a bit expensive for what it is.
I love this rotisserie kit. Fits my Costco Gas BBQ perfectly. I have made chicken shawarma, grilled whole chickens. Everything has come out superb.
Also very easy to clean.
The skewer is very long. I have since cut mine down a little as my BBQ isn’t the biggest.
All in all I have found this a pleasure to use.

Had trouble threading the sections together. Once the pieces were taken apart, a bunch of rust came out of the female threaded portion.

Superb bit of kit … Works great and so easy to install
The equipment is very well made, with a decent chrome finish. The heavy duty rod is rock solid, the forks are rigid and the chunky counterweight easy to fit and adjust, which is essential for large pieces of meat. The motor is pretty well silent. I spit two legs of lamb for an hour and a half to perfection, with little tending other than adding some fresh hot charcoal half way through and basting towards the end. The kit is easy to use and to dismantle, clean and store afterwards. It feels like it will last many years.

A great bit of kit. It’s far too long for my Napoleon 425, but it doesn’t matter. The motor is very quiet and after switching the motor off and restarting the motor reverses. The wing nuts that hold the prongs in place are a bit fiddly and I will probably replace them with stainless steel hex head bolts allowing me to use a hex “T” bar to tighten them up. I bought this knowing it wouldn’t fit the sides of the BBQ and that I would have to make some brackets to attach it, this took me a a couple of hours to do. Since installing on the BBQ I have cooked pork, a leg of lamb, 2 chickens and a turkey successfully. What a great addition to my BBQ. If your buying one, make sure it fits your BBQ or you will have a bit of DIY to do.
