My daughter enjoys these ‘games’ on her IPAD. I think it is an excellent learning tool.

So glad I bought this, my son loves it! I recommend this for anyone who is thinking about getting it. I was on the fence for a while but I am so glad that I went a head and got it. Highly recommend!

My grandson really likes playing with this and I can already see the improvement in his understanding of the concepts they are trying to teach. His mom enjoys helping him without doing it for him which takes patience but is rewarding.

Great game for teaching kids of all ages. But I suggest if you buy it for a fire tablet you go ahead and buy an adapter.
It does not come with the original package. It is not for an iPad it is only for a fire table

Be ready to play with the mirror, if you put it on against the iPAD it won’t work, you just have to pull it up a little to get the mirror in the right place. Then it’s perfect. Kids love creating shapes.

I’ve been having fun setting this up for my 6 year old grandson for Christmas. We are using an older IPad and hope it continues to work. Osmo world is a bit hard to get to k ow but he will probably breeze through it!

I bought this package for my daughter. She is almost three. As a parent, I feel it is a good design. I never let my daughter play with iPad before but I think it is good place to start. My daughter likes some of the games. But I do expecting more considering its price.

My 2 and 5 year olds love this. Imaginative yet educational. The price is a bit steep but it one of those things you will use again and again, and for other children.

The ABC’s game is a little fast for my 3 year old but she did just turn 3. My daughter loves playing with it but the game requires me to help her every step of the way and she is a pretty fast learner. Works well on the tablet and easy to navigate. I didn’t realize I would have to download an app for each individual game but that’s not an issue. We still have yet to open other games, we’re just opening and finishing them one at a time. Thank you!

This is a great way to make screen time educational. We’ve struggled with home learning and have used this kit as a tool to spark some interest in learning with our son. He’s taken well to it and he enjoys the games and they feel very much like games rather than that he’s ‘learning’ something.

We bought the Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit for our preschooler (almost kindergartner) and he LOVES it!
It’s a great tool for learning letter recognition, letter sounds, spelling, and math!
The Osmo character is adorable and encouraging.
I love that we can check our son’s progress any time with the parent app.
The best part is, our little guy thinks he’s just playing a game!

(Tried to upload a video but couldn’t. )
It’s a pretty great little program. Takes some getting used to with the little one, but once she got the hang of it she just took off!

And I love that they have different programs for different ages and stages. They also have games and art programs. My 4 year old has almost all of the programs that were age and ability appropriate for her (: thanks for making a great program.

Great preschool program. Even I was pretty entertained.

By far this is the only thing that my son really loves to do during school hours he is a active 4 yr old and loves his one on one time with his shapes number and making stories with the littler person that they send in the kit. I am going to purchase more things to go with this OSMO. You have to invest in your children’s education if they are home with you every single day. This is not easy on some of us parents but its worth every single dollar.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOur 4 year old & 6 year old love this! It took a while to get it downloaded on the kindle fire as it didn’t come with much instruction.

Pros: It is very interactive and uses a mirror to project what your child places on the mat. Love the settings to adjust the difficulty level!

Cons: I do not like having to install the learning games under the parent profile. I wish we could install it under the kids so they are not logged onto my parent profile where they could accidentally purchase something. There might be a way to change this, I haven’t found it yet.

In the setup for the 8th generation Fire tablet (newest tablet) it asks if you have a reflection adapter (yellow piece for top of Osmo) it does not work without this. Very disappointing. I think it should clearly list this in the product description or come with an option to buy this version/pkg bc it cannot work without it. My daughter was so excited to play with it, now we have to wait until we have this piece.

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 3 and 5 year old granddaughters. With COVID our daughter has been home schooling them the entire school year. The 5 year old sat at the dining room table for over 2 hours until her Mom made her take a break on Christmas day. It is easy enough for her to do on her own and has engaged her to the point that she is asking often to be allowed to play with it. We bought several other Osmos add on’s for them to use with the starter kit.

Great product! I had some initial reservations based on mixed reviews and the overall cost of the system. I decided to try it out and I am glad I did.

We had an initial issue getting the tablet to “see” the play mat but since then it has been non-stop fun! My daughter has only played 4 of the 6 apps so far and she loves them. The mixture of hands-on learning and technology is very well balanced. I like that my daughter can practice problem-solving while also being creative. I would recommend to anyone with preschool-age children.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe bought Osmo Little Genius starter kit for our 4-6 year old. This lit up our little one’s face on Christmas day and I have to say it’s literally the favorite (educational) “toy” for all our boys. They have not put this down and they are loving explorings and creating. We are able to hear our sons reiterate what is being taught and also working together to solve the Newton bounce games.

I would like to say that we took the time to set up everything prior to wrapping this gift and it made their first experience with Osmo seamless. We recommend doing this for your kids as well so that play can happen straight out of the box.

An amazing product, and this kit is worth every penny because there’s so much to do and so much to add on. We will be purchasing all add one in the coming months!

The three year old has been sent back from nursery for the second time and this has really come into its own.

We can generally get him involved with this which means we can get on with some work. Actually we quite enjoy it as well!

We are using it on a Kindle Fire and it was easy to set up.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersFun and engaging. My toddler loves the games, especially the Stories and Costumes. Keeps him entertained long enough for me to complete a couple of conference calls.

He doesn’t get to play too often- maybe an hour or two per week. He’s already completed all of the stories in the game and finished the numbers game- my point being, I expected the content to be a bit more… expansive.

Some of the problem solving components are a bit strange, too. One story has the kid figure out how to clean cobwebs off a chair. We tried all of the options until it suggested the crown… because it glitters. Not super logical.

The set up is weird, too. Each game is its own app, and it’s not abundantly clear which app goes with which set. I’m still not sure I have all of them downloaded.

Overall, it’s better than video games and provides good content. The numbers and letters and shapes apps are cool and definitely educational. Occasionally glitchy, but my kid loves it.

It took a while to get this set up to use as I had to download each of the Osmo games onto my Amazon fire tablet, but once it was done it was really good. There are no instructions with the kit, but instead there’s a link to a website which tells you how it all works. I had put off doing this for a while but it turned out to be really easy. So, in the kit you get a stand which you put the Amazon Fire Tablet on (had to remove the case first), then the clever little gadget which slots on to the top of the tablet and this includes a mirror which reflects onto the white play-mat. Also included is a box of shapes and another box containing a dress-up figure with various costumes (different hats, tops and trousers). Two of the games use the shapes and the other two use the costumes. And they are really brilliant, both educational and entertaining. Our grand-daughter is 4 years old and I know she is going to love this, it’s set at about the right level for Reception age at school. All the games are quite involved and use imagination as well as teaching letters, shapes, numbers and all sorts of things. The child puts the pieces provided onto the playmat and the program then interprets them (difficult to explain until you actually do it). I spent a happy hour or so playing with it. It is quite expensive, at nearly 80 for the set, but I think it should give plenty of really valuable educational and imaginative play time.

This is one of the best learning and educational sets that I have had the pleasure of using with my daughter. The app was simple to get downloaded and set up for use and using it is a breeze.

We used this with a Fire 7 Tablet and it has worked perfectly with it, my daughter loves it.

    Contents : * Tablet Stand.
    * Mirror.
    * Play Mat.
    * 2 storage boxes with game parts inside.

Highly recommended from me, treat your kids with this, it’s a fantastic experience.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wrote a more lengthy review but for some reason it just vanished so here is a quick recap, shorter version! hopefully amazon let me submit this one . This is a kit to use with your fire tablet in order to play learning games and activities . Comes packed well- what’s included in the box is the stand and osmo attachment for the tablet the plane white matt, and two boxes one is filled with pieces of parts of the character and the other is curved and straight line pieces to use In the games . The box states the age it’s suitable for is age 3-5 my daughter is going to be 3 soon so I choose this for her. There is an app you will need to download in order to play the games on your device . This was very Straight fwd and easy to set up. If you have a Compatible fire tablet and and a child 3-5 I would recommend this as it’s great to help with early learning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice quality , educational .

The most important thing to note about this is that you need a Fire tablet as it is an add on item.
It is only compatible with 7th generation and above so won’t work with the older ones, so check this before purchasing to avoid disappointment.
You can get Fire tablets fairly cheap, either new, reconditioned or second hand and they are a much more affordable option for young children than spending a fortune on iPads.
This is a lovely pre school activity program which uses interactive elements as well as on screen learning.
The kit includes a stand for your tablet, which holds it upright so it can pick up the activity from the pad, such as forming letters and creating characters.
It’s really fun for young children to see their creations come to life on the screen and it provides an excellent way of combining technology with physical play.
Whilst it’s not cheap I think it’s worth the investment, making learning fun is a sure way of keeping your child interested and teaching them skills that are the building blocks for a solid education.
Hope you found my review helpful

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersMy son is turning six next week and starting kindergarten this year. I’ve been worried all summer about his education since the beginning of Covid. I wanted to find something educational to keep him learning, focused, and engaged. I set it up for him and he immediately started playing. He loved using the manipulatives and creating shapes on his work mat. He was engaged and loved all the different lessons. They were so easy and needed minimal adult support (just to set up). The lessons started easy and slowly scaffolded the content. He is already learning so much about numbers, shapes, and letters. I’m so impressed. My parents will be doing distance learning and will use this as part of his instruction. He loves using it so it will be easy to implement. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI bought the Osmo little genius starter kit for my four year old to have some educational learning opportunities that were still fun. It helps him work on a lot of age appropriate skills. He is learning how to write so the masterpiece game is a great fun way to help him build his fine motor skills. The costume party game allows him to be creative while also figuring out his spatial reasoning. My only concern is that you are supposed to take the cover off the ipad. I have a two year old that likes to play along with whatever the four year old does. I need to maintain parental supervision to make sure the kids don’t knock over the ipad during a spat, but probably not an issue for folks with older kids.

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersWe’ve only had this for a few days, but so far – we are very happy! With our daughter’s preschool cancelled due to COVID, we were looking for a gift that would not keep her entertained & actively learning so when school starts back up, we’re ready for kinder! At first I was hesitant to purchase the Early Math Kit because of its higher price ($119.99 vs $79.99) but I’m SO HAPPY we did because she’s having A BLAST WITH COUNTING. It was super easy to set up. It’s also great seeing her build her numbers/letters with the colored sticks because her fine motor skills are still limited and she struggles with making her letters on paper. The story time game is also great and really helps stretch her mind and think creatively. I’ll update as she plays more, but so far it’s our favorite activity!

10/5/20 update: she’s still loving it – 5 stars highly recommend this because math is included. We’re so happy I’m also buying for my sister’s kids.

They never had this type of thing in my day. Then again, they never had iPads either. The ‘Osmo – Little Genius Starter Kit for iPad’ is a cute little set designed for children around the 3-5 year range. The iPad is not included, but you do get a stand, camera accessory and some play elements. Also included is access to four games that work with the kit.

It is simple to set up and works well. The games are a cross between straight educational and some fun Wii-esque camera actions. You play on the pad provided and the camera picks it up. The fun is when your ideas are transported onto the iPad. This is great fun, but also very useful as you can compare things like letters side by side. The child can easily see if they have got something that looks right.

The pack does set you back a bit, but you do get a lot in it. It is nice to use the iPad more for education and not just entertainment. We do have education games on it already, but this one has the added interactive elements that really encourage the kids.

This is a very clever idea. You need an Ipad to make this system work. You simply take the Ipad stand, add the projector unit and download the App and you are ready to play. The set comes with four different games to play. They are word/letter association games which build your child’s vocabulary. The kit comes with the stand and projector unit and a number of sticks which you use to build letters, according to what is shown on the screen. This is easily set up and interactive, but our young son got bored rather quickly with it, as he needed help with the “curly” letters. It is a great idea, but I am not sure it is worth the money and to fully expand the utilities of this set, you need to buy more add on’s. I am happy to recommend it, as a starter kit.

This is great. Very educational. Works great with the iPad and app. Children learn from this, rather than sitting watching you tube this is fun and educational. Keep child’s brain working. Would’ve been great if extras were included for the children that like challenges, as my son easily got bored sometimes and wanted something abit more challenging. For the price compared to other osmo products it’s okay but this is pretty basic too. Would definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA super impressive piece of kit designed to work alongside your iPad. This starter kit includes 4 main games incorporating letter creation and practice, designing and copying shapes, costume play and storytelling.

What’s clever about the Osmo is that a small reflector sits on top of the iPad camera and this can ‘see’ what your child is creating on their white mat. My children (3 and 5) find it easy to use and follow. The 3 year old in particular is very stimulated by the games and is asking to play with the Osmo on a regular basis.

For pre-school children, this is a great starter pack introducing them to numbers, shapes and words. For those in early years education, it’s reinforcing what they are learning at school. All in all a brilliant starter kit and a very clever idea.
